Who would have thought?
SkepticalScience.com has a Czech translation of their attempt to debunk the Skeptics Handbook. And so, as the wheel turns, we have a Czech translation of my debunking of that debunking:
My most sincere thanks to Mirek Pavlicek.
He’s a fast man!
The original English version:
The Guide to the Unskeptical Guide to the Skeptics Handbook.
And I’ve done up an PDF version of the original English language debunking for those who want to have a printed copy to sit side by side.
I would not have guessed the Czechs would beat me to it.
AGW proponents are in desperate retreat at the Czech Republic now. Their credibility collapses at very fast rate. Also the main stream media began to be cautious in presenting the warming scare. They don’t dare to tell this year floods or the current warm summer are due to AGW as they would make people angry, if they did. If they refer about recent doom prophecies like Hansen’s lie about fast warming over the last decade or fall of phytoplankton interpreted as a consequence of AGW instead of El Nino they keep in distance to it. Discussions to such articles are evidence that virtually no believes in it and they who do are treated as deviants by the others.

In a society where people are Allowed to think for themselves, this definitely adds some Czechs and balances.

That is a very bad pun. A very, very, bad pun. Well done.

Otter 2:
The Czechs are inherent heretics for hundreds of years. Also the main fairy tale hero “Stupid” Honza is a skeptical (“stupid”) guy with farmer’s common sense who cannot be confused with the official doctrine that is why he is “stupid”.

Yes Adolf. My sincere apologies – puns are, I think, a particularly Anglo-Saxon form of humour. And I was layering sarcasm on top of that.

Yes. They are a very good weapun against the agw crowd.

Good point. Do you think we could mount a case for punitive damages?

In my estimation, any effort to debunk Jo Nova’s handbook (or to promote alarmism) is (thankfully) wasted on anyone who speaks Czech

The most loved piece of discussion under a news article with the recent Hansen’s claim that the greatest warming took place over the last decade at a Czech popular server Novinky:
“Taking my gas accounts retrospectively over the last ten years it appears to me that year by year we are drawing near an ice age.”
