This is a good sign. And oh boy, there is so much more material to extend this theme. I predict we’ll see a lot more of this new form of public debate…
Michael Loftus does do a good Al Gore.
Some very funny comments about this on The Blaze.
Ridicule and mockery rather takes the fun out of things for the bully-boys of climate fear. It will dent recruitment.
So how long before DeSmog find a link to The Kochs?

Check out what the stand-up comics at the BoM are now saying about Rutherglen temperature adjustments:
http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/change/acorn-sat/rutherglen/rutherglen-station.shtml
So did the algorithms detect a station move in 1974, or did they just false alarm on the very wet year of 1974 in Australia?
172
Stand-up commies?
203
Yeah, conclusion that it may have moved, but no firm evidence exists that it moved…
Awful long piece including maps, photographs and documents copies that attempts to obfuscate the facts and allows it to appear that the site may have moved while avoiding making the false claim that the site moved.
And neatly sidestepping the issue of the algorithms used to homogenise the data.
282
The algorithms themselves are a bit of a red herring I think, the main problem is that BoM did NO manual checking of statistical detections, they simply ignored the fact that ALL detectors have false alarms. Blair Trewin has confessed to this crime in his CTR_049.pdf document.
182
And the red thumb…
Okay, then read the piece for yourself, Red Thumb, then put your interpretation of it to me for a reasonable discussion.
I’m afraid the only conclusion I can draw is the same conclusion drawn by the BoM itself in its own article – there is no firm evidence.
And this is not cherry-picking – whatever else is supposed in the article is conjecture, and if, as stated – there is no firm evidence – then to what purpose does the article serve?
Its just saying:
“Look, look, we’ve done all these homoginisations and we wont support our figures with algorithms, but we did it all for these reasons that we can’t prove… ”
Geez, Red Thumb, give me a f#cken break.
As before – that sure is some f#cked up sh#t right there.

I have many times searched the internet for satirical comedy knocking “climate change”
All I have ever found is one episode by comedy / magicians Penn and Teller .It is from
their comedy-skeptical program called Bullshit. Its great to see comedy becoming brave
enough again to do what it does best and take the Micky out of this faux science of climate
change.
Michael, your email notifications of comments are bouncing. Can you provide a proper one? _ Jo

Jon Stewart did an excellent take-down of climategate — alas I don’t think it’s available on the web, but let me know if you find a link. It would have been Nov or Dec 2009.

Not a bad summary for a comedian. So Big Foot is real? I always suspected.
At least Australia’s platypus was mentioned as an example of how much man actually controls his universe.
He does present Global Warming as simply one in a series of scams and blatant political attempts at wealth redistribution and that billions will
really buy any science result you want. There is also the fundamental suspicion Americans have with Homer Simpsons ‘wallet inspector’.
The quote that 99% of all scientists, not ‘climate’ scientists shows how a lie can be created, wiping out all the 32,000 scientists of the Oregon Petition because they
were not ‘climate scientists’ but then spreading the idea that all scientists agree. Lies work.
The really popular lie he did not mention after Polar Bears, was the acidification of the oceans when they are not acid and never will be acid.
Yes, some people will see it as humorous. Others will resent the unbelievable waste of money which could have been spent solving real problems like fusion, thorium power,
water distribution, real climate changes and food resources. A billion dollars a day for windmills and flammable chemistry laboratories and other monuments to monumental stupidity.
There is also the idea that trees are obviously better for the planet than grasses, when they are simply competing carbon lifeforms which do exactly the same thing.
The big difference for humans is that we cannot eat trees, unless they are fruit trees. Now has Big Foot been moving those Stevenson Screens? Probably.
132
TdeF, Discovery Channel as you know has a program solely dedicated to hunting down Bigfoot … it has been going on for ages and apart from a few manufactured footprints and the odd glimpse of a bloke in a gorilla suit at distance in the forest obscured with rising mist, they’ve not yet produced any evidence … much like global warming theory 😉
20
Maybe we can have something like Alien vs Predator but a three way contest, Big Foot vs the Loch Ness Monster vs the Global Warming monster? Or just Tim Flannery or Al Gore.
00
Have to say – I’m getting a huge surge of traffic to my site, especially people looking to see if I’m really a polar bear (checking my “About” page).
It was a bit confusing initially (watching the numbers go up and up) until I understood, via an email from one of my followers, that he had mentioned my site.

Actually the German Comedian, a while ago, got the spirit of CAGW, AKA Doom from the Magic Gas, down better.
Holding up the model windmill as a substitute for the crucifix.
The Penn and Teller series Bull Sh*t covered the enviro-nasties very well, Ban DiHydrogen Monoxide.
I likened CAGW to an earthen dam just after Climategate, now these popes of certitude look more and more like rag pickers wandering thro the ruins caused by the down valley flood.
Notice the near absence of the concern trolls?Almost like their funding ran out.
I suspect when we go through the prosecutions and analysis of this orchestrated mass hysteria, we will find numerous examples of public funding for the agencies promoting this massive ripoff of the many to enrich the elite few.

In NZ we have our version. It is called NIWA. Today on radio there was a report from them that August 2014 was the hottest August on record, globally. Obviously they are following on from the rubbish put out by NASA and covered in Huffington Post.
Unfortunately for the clowns at NIWA they did not get the latest memo from Gavin stating he had made errors and it isn’t the hottest August after all.
141
There’s plenty of flow hanging fruit regarding this CAGW mess and potential comedy, I’ve already seen online comments parodying Gore from South Park with ‘Man Bear Pig’ to ‘I’m cereal, I’m super cereal’, the almost sad part is that while anything can be joked about it’s the genuinely stupid that is truly funny.
People who really stuff up their public image by their own actions should be recipients of some Darwin Award regarding Self Character Assassination.
70
That was less humour and more summary as Tdef said. I wasn’t sure if the stifled laughter was because he wasn’t that funny, people just wanted to come and switch off and listen to some jokes or the subject is still pretty taboo to that particular audience.

18 Sept: Calgary Herald: Amanda Stephenson: ‘Climate change denier’ dismisses label
(Ross McKitrick) “It’s a dumb term, for one thing. In my opinion, a climate change denier would be somebody who thinks we’re still in the middle of an Ice Age and the continent is covered by a glacier,” McKitrick said in an interview with the Herald. “Obviously, nobody would think that. You have to accept that the climate changes.”…
“The issue really is the extent to which you accept that greenhouse gas emissions are causing a major catastrophe,” McKitrick said. “I would just say my reading of the evidence is that so far, it doesn’t appear to be a big issue.”…

18 Sept: Reuters: Valerie Volcovici: Global investors urge leaders to act on carbon pricing ahead of UN meeting
More than 340 institutional investors representing $24 trillion in assets on Thursday called on government leaders attending next week’s United Nations climate summit to set carbon pricing policies that encourage the private sector to invest in cleaner technologies.
Firms signing a joint letter include BlackRock, Calvert Investments, BNP Paribas Investment Partners and Standard Bank.
They want countries to set a price tag on pollution by taxing carbon emission or implementing cap and trade emissions policies to create incentives for investing in cleaner technologies…
“Investors are owners of large segments of the global economy as well as custodians of citizens’ savings around the world. Having such a critical mass of them demand a transition to the low-carbon and green economy is exactly the signal governments need in order to move to ambitious action quickly,” said Achim Steiner, director of the UN Environment Programme…
On the sidelines of the summit, Ban will also host a private sector forum that will help build up support for carbon pricing in businesses and governments.
Among participants in that event are the CEOs of Air France , China’s Sinopec, the McDonald’s Corporation and Royal Dutch Shell.

18 Sept: RTCC: Prince Charles’ business leaders back zero emissions goal
Leading corporations have endorsed campaigns to slash emissions and promote carbon pricing
Coca Cola, Shell and Tesco are backing a campaign to slash carbon emissions to zero by mid-century. They are members of the Prince of Wales corporate leaders group, which on Thursday announced its support for the “Track Zero” initiative. It is also endorsing the World Bank’s carbon pricing push.
Prince Charles, patron of the group, is due to deliver a video message at next Tuesday’s climate summit in New York…
The World Bank is set to launch a statement on carbon pricing at the summit, which its leading climate envoy Rachel Kyte told RTCC might surprise critics. Shell CEO Ben van Beurden endorsed the approach, which he said had the advantage of “spreading the burden fairly”…
Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever, also a member of the corporate leaders group, talked up this week’s New Climate Economy report, which concluded that climate action and economic growth can go hand in hand…

Hmm!

Hmm indeed Tony. What or who or why or wherefore is this investment required. Tell mum and dad mortgage holders and school fee payers why we should shoulder the costs of more comic book energy ideas at the expense of raising our families in the real world.
20
All they can see is their commissions flowing down the toilet bowl … they’re going to loose $trillions of their investors’ money if their bet on carbon pricing doesn’t come off. Tough luck … I, long ago, instructed my superannuation fund not to invest me into anything to do with renewables.

The rich get rich flogging energy, they then tell the poor,”sorry we are all rich enough you’ll just have to do without”- rich enough, the rich are never rich enough that’s why they are planning ahead, they want the poor to subsidise their lifestyles, the poor can live in an energy free world(electricity oil) but the rich can’t.

19 Sept: Bloomberg: Ban Enlisting Business on Climate Change May Win UN Pact
By Sangwon Yoon and Christopher Martin
“Investing wisely in climate change or the environment will help all spectrum of lives and, policies of national governments,” Ban said today in an interview at UN headquarters in New York. “That will be my consistent message at this time.”
Ban pointed to an announcement today from BlackRock Inc. (BLK), the world’s largest money manager, which joined 346 institutional investors managing $24 trillion in assets to call for a price on carbon emissions and a climate agreement to help shift economies away from fossil fuels.
“There are some unfortunately entrenched positions,” Ban said. Some “seem to believe wrongly that investing in climate change or environmental areas is less important than their national policies boosting economic growth.” …
While no agreement will emerge from the summit, it is the largest gathering of heads of state focusing on climate issues, according to the UN…
Ban is hoping to mobilize support for a shift away from investments in fossil fuels and into renewable energy. He has asked CEOs to “please reduce your investment in fossil-based energies and do more on renewable energy.”
“In the past they have been burning this climate, earth in the name of prosperity, economic development,” he said. “But this modality should change. They know that.” ….

David Bowie- 5 years
But for a laugh, do your bit for the Peoples Climate March:
“So how then can climate activists justify riding, driving or – heaven forbid – flying in the name of climate action?
We do because traveling to Manhattan, and expanding our carbon footprint in the process, may be better for the planet in the long-run than if we stayed home.”
http://gwagner.com/climate-march-bike-if-you-can-fly-if-you-must-by-all-means-go/
I can’t go to NY, so, I will be burning extra fossil fuels at home in order to save the planet. Turn on all the lights.
You know it makes sense.
20
Handjive, oh, and everyone else too.
I wonder if the irony of this climate conference has even entered the minds of those attending this summit.
Manhattan has the single greatest electrical power consumption for that area on Planet Earth.
Every single one of those buildings requires ….. ABSOLUTELY to have electrical power connected to them for 24 hours of every day.
Just downtown Manhattan consumes around 10TWH of power a year, the single greatest concentration for electrical power consumption on Earth.
Manhattan Island is 88 Square Kilometres, and the downtown area around 50 SqKm.
It consumes more power than all but 10 of Africa’s 54 Countries.
Irony and hypocrisy come immediately to mind here.
Tony.
20
They should turn off the power to Manhattan, just while this sully little conference is on.
Erect just one windmill outside, see how they cope with THEIR reality !!

The audience was spookily silent most of the time and you could hear the nervous twitter when he first made his intentions clear.
Its pretty sad that people have to look each side of themselves to help decide if they will laugh audibly or not. No one wants to be the first sheep through the gate.
I agree his routine was welcome and overdue, but artists are usually left wing and tend to run on the smallest fumes of the story because depth is not as funny as the ephemeral. But I suspect it will be some time before Jimmy Kimmel is doing sceptic material and this guy has probably shortened his career if the attitude of “Hollywood” is anything to go buy.
http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2014/apr/11/hollywood-celebrities-climate-change-years-of-living-dangerously
40
Yeah, perhaps the audience were somewhat silent but they were also a relatively young crowd.
I don’t have any research to back this up, but I have the impression the younger generations don’t much engage with the whole global warming debate.
That seems to be the preserve of the older generation like myself.
00
Young people seem to be much more realistic than wrinklies about the dangers of being off-message.
I remember during the 2011 riots in London some of my young friends were living in Croydon, one of the hot spots. They refused to say whether any of the rioters they saw were non-white. (Denying that it was in any way a race riot was a large part of political correctness at the time. Of course, that totally invalidated all the rioters’ justifications (they were supposedly protesting against police racism), but who cares so long as the Hampstead chatterati felt comfortable…)
00
One of the most humourous items is the warmlist, a compendium of things caused by global warming. There are several hundred hyperlinked examples – if you have not seen it just google the key words from here.
You have to laugh at the way it exposes the rent seekers whose income might be enhanced if they associate their work with the magic words ‘global warming’.
Pathetic, insecure souls, many of them.
……….
Remember the early days of daylight saving, and the jokes?
Makes my curtains fade.
This one stuck in the memory.
We need a throw away line as memorable as this for global warming.
Come on, you inventive bloggers, give it a go.
31
Actually daylight savings can make curtains fade because they are exposed to the sun after opening the blind one hour earlier than they would have been otherwise. There is no counter effect at the other end of the day.
20
Daylight savings is like owning a too short blanket. The solution? Cut one end of the blanket off and sew it on the other end. Now the blanket it longer and saves you lots energy.
40
When people in the arts and entertainment industry feel confident enough to start talking about the possibility that CO2 is not changing the climate then you know the end is nigh for the con.
The arts and artists are seen as big supporters of Green/Left agendas but I suspect that there are many who are just towing the party line in order to protect their career and employment prospects.
We should expect scientists to speak out against bad science, not because it’s courageous to do so, but because it is scientifically the right thing to do. After all a scientist with good data and reasoned argument will eventually overcome the mob.
Consider the position of an artist who’s profession by its nature operates outside the usual practices of logic and reason. A world where back biting, glad handing and influence pedalling are accepted parts of getting by in the industry. Imagine the possible consequences of stepping outside the mob mentality on one of their fundamental beliefs. Now that takes courage.
20
DonS: You say “Consider the position of an artist whose profession by its nature operates outside the usual practices of logic and reason.”
I have to take issue with you over this – and yes, my background is solidly scientific, but music has been an interest for over 50 years. People in the arts work extremely hard at perfecting their craft – how many years of training does it take to become an orchestral violinist or a proficient jazz musician for example? There’s plenty of logic and reason involved in all this!
I think the problem is that people who have gone down the arts route haven’t had post-school exposure to the world of science and technology as a profession. As an example of the effect of this, consider the ever questioning attitude needed in science – for example, if Bloggs et al. make a claim, does it seem plausible? What have others said, and are their findings similar? If not, why not? What further investigations might be appropriate? Are there flaws in the work of Bloggs et al.? Sometimes things that seem not able to affect a result in an experiment can bite and surprise you.
A lot of politicians and mainstream media people don’t have such a background, and that is I think the reason for the unquestioning acceptance of the idea of dangerous man-made warming of the planet. There are of course charlatans in the arts and science world – but I think I’d better stop at this point!
00

18 Sept: The Hill: Timothy Cama: Steyer to join climate march
Billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer will join thousands of others this weekend in a New York City march for climate change action.
Steyer announced his intent to attend the People’s Climate March on Twitter Thursday…
Among those joining Steyer will be U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, former Vice President Al Gore, actor Leonardo DiCaprio and lawmakers including Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.).
http://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/218235-steyer-to-join-climate-march
18 Sept: Guardian: Fiona Harvey: Ban Ki-moon to join climate change march
“I will link arms with those marching for climate action,” Ban told a press conference. “We stand with them on the right side of this key issue for our common future.”…
His unusual step – high-ranking officials do not normally attend mass public protests – is a measure of how high the stakes are at a summit next week of world leaders, called by the secretary-general, to discuss climate change…
Ban said: “Action on climate change is urgent. The more we delay, the more we will pay in lives and in money. The climate summit that I am convening one week from today has two goals: to mobilise political will for a universal and meaningful climate agreement next year in Paris; and second to generate ambitious steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen resilience…

Meenakshi Raman obviously believes in CAGW; however, there are some truths in his analysis!
17 Sept: IPS: Will the Upcoming Climate Summit Be Another Talkathon?
Analysis by Meenakshi Raman
It is most likely that it could go that way. The problem is that developed countries are pressuring developing countries to indicate their pledges for emissions reductions post-2020 under the Paris deal which is currently under negotiation, without any indication of whether they will provide any finance or enable technology transfer – which are current commitments under the Convention.
What is worse is that many developed countries – especially the U.S. and its allies – are delaying making their contributions to the Green Climate Fund (GCF)…
The Climate Summit must focus on this to get developed countries to announce their finance commitments to the Fund.
If it does not, the UNFCCC meeting in Lima will be in jeopardy, as this is an existing obligation of developed countries that must be met latest by November…
Another lingering question: Can the private sector, which is expected to play a key role in the summit, be trusted on climate change?
It is the private sector in the first place that got us into this climate mess. Big corporations cannot be trusted to bring about the real changes that are needed as there will be much green-washing.
***Companies are profit-seeking and they would only engage in activities that will bring them profits. There are huge lobbies in the climate arena who are pushing false approaches such as trading in carbon and other market mechanisms and instruments through which they seek to make more profits…

19 Sept: SMH Exclusive: Lisa Cox: Julie Bishop rejects UN request to strengthen Australian climate targets
Australia is refusing to take a plan for deeper cuts to greenhouse gas emissions to a special world leaders’ climate summit in New York next week, rejecting calls from United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon…
In an interview with Fairfax Media, Ms Bishop said Australia would use the summit to confirm its commitment to a new global agreement on climate change next year but it was “too early” to present plans for deeper emissions cuts beyond Australia’s existing policies…
Earlier this week Mr Ban said he expected Tuesday’s summit to lay the framework for putting a price on carbon.
The Abbott government became the first country in the world in July to abolish a carbon price and its alternative direct action policy is in limbo without support in the Senate…
The Abbott government has promised to review Australia’s emissions reduction targets early next year.
But there is growing urgency from environmental groups for the government to define what its post-2020 target will be and how that will contribute to international efforts to keep global warming below two degrees, which scientists say would avoid the worst effects of climate change.
“Other countries have got their process going already to define their post-2020 targets,” Climate Institute deputy director Erwin Jackson said…

a “climate warrior” from the Why? Why Not? campaign whose ads infected every youtube i watched for about a month:
19 Sept: News Ltd: Jennifer Rajca: Young climate campaigner questions Tony Abbott’s priorities as he snubs UN summit
WHERE are you Prime Minister?
That’s the question on 19-year-old Yu Hung’s mind as she prepares to jet off to New York for the United Nations Climate summit.
The Queensland university student is one of eight young people from around the world chosen to have their winning videos, calling for action against climate change, played to more than 120 world leaders next week…
Instead Foreign Minister Julie Bishop will attend the meeting, hosted by UN chief Ban Ki-moon, in his place.
“It’s not the same,” Ms Hung told News Corp.
“Barack Obama can go, why can’t Tony Abbott?…
Ms Hung said she wants the world to know that Australia is “very different to its own government”, especially its young people.
“I feel that the young people are somewhat removed and in a sense displaced from its own government.”
The 19-year-old said Australia’s youth is very “open-minded”, as opposed to the “old fashioned” views of Mr Abbott.
“I feel he doesn’t understand the scope of what is happening and the way that Australia needs to move forward.”…
“I hope he can sleep at night knowing that there are so many people upset with what he’s doing.” …
The student, who is studying biomedical science and one day hopes to help create vaccines, stumbled upon The Climate Reality Project’s campaign by chance while surfing You Tube for makeup tutorials.
“I pretty much threw all my make-up brushes out of the way [after seeing the advertisement],” she said.
To enter she had to make a one minute video asking governments ‘Why?’ and ‘Why Not?’ when it comes to acting on climate change…

One thing we know is, Tony will fail to contribute to the weather changes that will result from the meeting.
I expect perfect weather as soon as they pass their resolution, I might even go fuel the boat up now in expectation of 20c sunny with light winds.
The gullibility of some of our youth is really sad to witness. Thankfully there are others who arnt so easily sheepled.

But, there must be supervision if a pencil sharpener involved.
Worthy of a fridge magnet & a gold star.

Clearly the young lady hasn’t yet developed a sufficiently questioning attitude to what is paraded as science these days. Let’s hope she does some more reading on ‘climate science’ if time allows from her biomedical science work. I notice that she’s 19 – early days yet, not long out of school, and I find myself wondering what she was taught there?

19 Sept: Mashable: Andrew Freedman: World Smashes All-Time Temperature Records Ahead of UN Climate Summit
The June through August period was the warmest such period on Earth since record-keeping began in 1880, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced Thursday.
In addition, the month of August was the warmest such month on record since 1880 as well, and featured the warmest ocean temperatures ever recorded for any month…
These temperature records, along with others, have set the world on course to have its warmest year on record, NOAA said…
The NOAA said record warmth was observed across much of the central and western equatorial Pacific Ocean, as well as parts of the western Indian Ocean, especially in the vicinity of Madagascar…
The new temperature data also comes just before one of the largest gatherings of world leaders ever to take place on the subject of global warming. The daylong U.N. Climate Summit will be held in New York on Sept. 23.

Christiana will be on the march. is there anything – no matter how ridiculous – this crowd will not say to promote their cause?
18 Sept: Deutsche Welle: UN Climate chief, Christiana Figueres: “If we want to prevent conflicts, we have to address climate change now”
DW: Why do we need yet another climate summit?
Figueres: The conferences we organize once a year have the purpose of moving towards a legally based agreement, scheduled to be adopted in Paris next year. In New York, nothing is going to be negotiated. It’s very much an attempt to blow wind into the sails of the formal process. It’s about raising political will and public awareness. It is a powerful opportunity for the leaders of countries and corporations to come forward and say what each of them is going to do…
The second term of President Obama has seen an accelerated and up-scaled engagement on climate change…
It is also very interesting that on US land, there will be the people’s climate march, just two days before the summit. That will show that there is, even in the United States, broad and deep public support for global climate policy making…
I’m very grateful to the organizers of the march and to everyone who’s going to be at the march. I will be there, because it’s important to give a very strong message that it is not just the responsibility of governments or corporations, but rather there is also civil society responsibility here to make their awareness and concern felt, and encourage countries and companies to move towards low-carbon economies as soon as possible…
DW: Isn’t it difficult to arouse interest in an additional climate summit in the current world political situation with attention focused on conflicts in the Middle East, Ukraine and other places?
Figueres: The whole week in New York will see much press attention to the summit. Not only because we will have hundreds of thousands of people on the street, not only because we will have hundreds of political leaders there, hundreds of corporations, but because they are all coming to New York for one very powerful reason. That is, climate change is now the biggest challenge that humanity has faced, certainly in this century. And there is growing awareness of this. There is already a lot of conflict around the world, around water scarcity, around migration, around food and security, and that is exacerbated by climate change. So if we want to prevent conflicts that will scale out of control, then we have to address climate change in a timely fashion…

Where are the jihadis when you need them?

Quote UN Climate chief, Christiana Figueres:
“It’s very much an attempt to blow wind
into the sails of the formal process.”. . .
Now that’s funny because it’s true.
10
Yeah, let’s do that.
Christiana Figueres is a bit kooky, I reckon.
In front of 193 delegates she gave the opening statement to the 2010 Cancun climate talk fest . . .
”
I mean . . .
I don’t know what she’s on but these are the people looking to lead the world on what is apparently a very important matter.
I think I’d prefer to just take my chances if it’s OK with Christiana.

Hasn’t the EU told Figueres that her Commission has been abolished ? Must be like a ‘leaving’ party for her.

We here in NZ vote tomorrow. No mention at all on the main media stages have I seen on Man Made global Warming. This tells me that if implemented it is policy by the back door which makes it inherently dishonest. I’ve seen a bit of electioneering on Climate Change which is really amusing. Those people want us to pay to change something that has happened for millions of years despite no ill effects on evolution which quite possibly makes them the most stupid people ever to live (religious wars aside). But no!! We are assailed by crass stupidity and sociopathic behaviour on all sides now.

This is amusing. . .
Divine intervention stops Al Gore from using Jesus and the Bible to promote Climate Change.

I’ve often thought that with ANYTHING political in it’s nature, once it becomes the subject of relentless jokes – it’s doomed. This applies to our glorious pollies, for example. Once Fraser, Hawke, Keating, Howard, Gillard were the subject of endless weekly jokes on mainstream TV, they were toast. Our Tony has not got there yet 🙂
Same for Climate Change. Oops. Climate Disruption. Oops Global Warming. Oops. Next Ice Age. The beginning of the end is nigh. Hooray!

As an outsider, what do you think will be Tony’s ‘bugger’ moment. I’ve watched him and he seems to speak quite slowly and deliberately but as yet is faultless in his reasoning.
10
Ceetee – I have no idea. Tony’s a polarising guy. Some people absolutely loathe him. But thats not the same as endlessly taking the piss. All pollies have a use-by date. Some come up sooner than others. With Our Tony, goodness knows when it will happen.
(Notice that I make no point about my feelings for Our Tone one way or the other. Ambivalent perhaps best describes me.)

There never was a widely held belief among scientists that the world was flat. This is a complete myth. If you’re going to argue against crap science don’t add to it.

Whatever else this little video may be, it’s a pretty succinct summary of the whole climate change industry, what it’s all about and why it’s so ridiculous.
Adding in the sequels to The Matrix at just the right time was a touch of genius. Nothing goes downhill faster than the sequels to what was originally a bad movie in the first place, not to mention the good ones. The same for global warming — it was always a bad movie from the start and got worse with every “sequel”.

Jo,
“Some very funny comments about this on The Blaze.” Except the comments section is empty and there’s no hotspot to get to them (it says there are over 150). Do you need to subscribe in order to comment or read them? I’m not a Blaze reader so I don’t know. As much as I think he’s got his head basically screwed on facing the right direction, Beck goes a bit too much for sensationalism for me.
