Where is your carbon footprint when you need it?
This week the same people who advertise their virtue with climate cloaks are advertising their status with a Bombardier 7500.
Don’t call them hypocrites, it’s completely consistent. Both are pretentious attempts to peck up the order.
More And Bigger Private Jets Landing at Davos as Leaders Discuss Climate Change
Erin Corbett, Fortune
Perhaps its all because of jet envy.
At least 1,500 private jets are slated to arrive in Davos. The number is up from last year’s estimated 1,300, according to the Air Charter Service, which also found that this year’s jets are larger and more expensive.
Why more and bigger jets?
“This is at least in part due to some of the long distances traveled, but also possibly due to business rivals not wanting to be seen to be outdone by one another,” Andy Christie, the private jets director at ACS said in a statement.
Would you like a helicopter with that?
PrivateFly.com [points out] “The primary airport used by private jet customers flying to Davos is Zurich Airport. This is 148 kilometers away, or 1 hour 45 minutes by road. So some visitors will also charter a helicopter for a faster transfer time,” the company said.
To be part of the global heroes club, you just need to be seen talking about it.
In the early days of COP’s and other UN climate junkets the use of such high CO2 producing transport would be justified by paying “carbon offsets” or similar claims but the details or proof of this offsetting was never clear, now they don’t even bother as the MSM and internet giants protect their hypocritical behaviour.
491
Hypocritical behaviour?
It’s different when people like me travel by private jet because, you know, I’m an evolved soul, I know what’s going on and what has to be done, and you don’t. Putting aside the fact that you plebs couldn’t afford to anyway, if you were to step out of a private jet, it would just have the wrong feel to it. When I do it, my statesmanlike aura gives it a whole different vibe, one that the unintelligent, ignorant, spiritually unevolved masses, people like you, feel compelled to take seriously.
Look, if you were to climb out of a Rolls Royce at the steps of parliament, that would be just weird and confusing; if the person stepping out of the Rolls was say, the Maharishi or the Bhagwan or some-one with first name Al for example, radiating Ultimate Knowledge, now that would be an EVENT!
See what I’m saying; it’s the vibe of the thing, that’s what matters.
Sark.

Since when have CO2 emissions actually been a concern? Relative to the climate conferences, CO2 emissions have never been anything more than am excuse for implementing repressive economic policy designed to harm the developed world.

2/10/2015
Economic Systems: The alarmists keep telling us their concern about global warming is all about man’s stewardship of the environment. But we know that’s not true. A United Nations official has now confirmed this.
At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.
“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution,” she said.
Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”
251
Be fair, they also want to keep ‘developing’ countries in their place by denying them access to cheap & reliable power generation.
250
The transfer of developed nation’s wealth to developing nations involved a large siphon hose into UN accounts and fellow travellers.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/alexandria-ocasio-cortezs-green-new-deal-is-actually-an-old-socialist-plan-from-canada
My prediction – just like in NZ, an attempt to put a harmless, pretty face on old fashioned Communism in trendy a green camoflage …. in NZ its a PM, in Ocasios case, shes being raised up as an “unknown”, feted to later take the reigns.
Just like Obummer.
“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘Green New Deal’ is actually an old socialist plan from Canada
“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s, D-N.Y., “Green New Deal” is the most radical and destructive policy proposal offered by a member of Congress in decades. Not only would it destroy roughly 3.4 million jobs related to the fossil fuel industry by eliminating nearly all fossil fuel use by 2030, it would also require “upgrades” to every home and business building in the country and the creation of single-payer health care, a “basic income” program, and a federal jobs guarantee, among many other left-wing policies.
With the backing of Ocasio-Cortez, what was once thought to be a fringe policy idea has gained significant momentum in recent months. At least 40 members of the House have said they support the Green New Deal, and eight likely Democratic presidential candidates have also said they support most or all of the plan, including Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee and Senators Cory Booker, D-N.J., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
Although the Green New Deal has received huge amounts of media attention in recent weeks – both positive and negative – the radical origins of the plan have not. Ocasio-Cortez has been labeled an innovative thinker for offering the allegedly visionary Green New Deal, but the truth is that most of these ideas have been floating around socialist circles since at least the early 2000s, and there is strong evidence to suggest that much of the draft text of Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal is merely a revised version of the “Leap Manifesto,” a socialist green-energy plan pushed by far-left environmentalists in Canada.
ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ, OTHER DEMS WANT YOU TO EMBRACE A SOCIALIST AGENDA – HERE ARE 4 GLARING EXAMPLES
The “Leap Manifesto” proposes making Canada 100 percent dependent on green energy by 2050, 20 years later than Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal. It also calls for “a universal program to build and retrofit energy efficient housing” and huge new “green” public transportation projects. Like the Green New Deal, the “Leap Manifesto” encourages “a more localized and ecologically-based agricultural system,” and it proposes the creation of a “universal basic annual income” program. Also in line with the Green New Deal, it demands raising existing taxes and the creation of a carbon-dioxide tax.
The “Leap Manifesto,” which received significant media attention when it was introduced in 2015, was created by a large coalition of far-left organizations and activists in Canada, including Hollywood stars like Ellen Page, Rachel McAdams and Donald Sutherland. The plan was authored by a who’s who of Canadian “eco-socialists” and leftists, such as Naomi Klein – a noted critic of capitalism who once wrote that the only way to save the planet from climate change is “shredding the free-market ideology that has dominated the global economy for more than three decades.”
…………….
“Ocasio-Cortez’s close relationship with the Sunrise Movement and Justice Democrats – organizations credited with helping Ocasio-Cortez create her draft proposal – is a direct connection to the socialist “Leap Manifesto.” Some of the leaders of the Sunrise Movement came from McKibben’s 350.org, and Justice Democrats is run by a former member of Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign, which also included numerous advocates of the “Leap Manifesto” and McKibben’s many calls for banning fossil fuels.
“Even Ocasio-Cortez’s branding of the Green New Deal as a kind of “Marshall Plan” that would be “similar in scale to the mobilization efforts seen in World War II” is eerily similar to an article McKibben authored for The New Republic in August 2016, titled “A World at War”.

She actually said the planet will stop spinning. While that’s an incredible statement silly beyond words, at least she accepts it is spinning even though it’s not in the Socialist handbook of Science.

Just quietly… it will never happen. She is simply an annoying insect and will likely amount to nothing. She is useful, however, in turning droves of the undecided over to the right in 2020. With AOC ranting on and flashing the bug eyes at anyone who’ll look, expect Trump to cruise through the 2020 election.
Honestly, the Republicans would be better if they had some serious oppoistion, but as long as the MSM obsesses over AOC, they are going to have a relatively easy time.

Well, she could be right… but it will not be because of any change in climate. More likely because of the trouble brewing that the politicians seem intent on ignoring.
120
Poor Ms Ocasio-Cortez is a bit late to the climate alarmism game. HRH Prince Charles on 15 December 2009 at Copenhagen declared
To be fair, both were as inaccurate as “we” have never has the control levers of global emissions as the “we” does not include all the major GHG emitters. It is not even close. As the UNEP emissions Gap Report 2018 effectively admits there is no real prospect of policies been enacted to stop global emissions being higher in 2030 than today, let alone 25% or 55% lower for the 2C and 1.5C warming objectives.

What you wouldn’t give for a complete list of these snouts in a trough.
180
Perhaps we should be working on emptying the trough. That should put an end to the empty virtue signaling and keeping up appearances that only a Government can afford. A Government that takes the lives of the governed unto the seventh generation and spends it without accounting.
It is nothing but theft under the color of governance. Once we called it theft and dealt with the perpetrators for what they are: thieves.
321
But you don’t understand, Jo. Jets are thousands of feet in the air and can’t leave any kind of footprint? They don’t touch the ground at all.
Besides which they have no feet, only wheels so if they could leave anything it would be “wheelprints”. 😉
231
Somewhat like a Choo Choo Train.
Footprints? No. But we know it was here, we saw its tracks.
120
Let’s see, the train stays on the rails and it never touches the ground either. So what if we see its tracks? It’s CO2 neutral.
I can’t out kid everyone but I’ll give ’em all a run for their money—tickets can be ordered on this and other web sites…in advance please.

The real problem here is not hypocracy it’s the “Davocracy” of the elite making plans to run the world. Self government is so 19th and 20th century. Anyone smart enough to be be a billionaire or political leader can make better decisions about the future of the world than mear peons that have to work for a living. Donald Trump made them angry that anyone could consider national interests over their well crafted plans. The yellow vest movement is starting to make them nervous.

When plutocrats sit down to discuss green plunder, debt traps, money printing, tax dodging foundations to invest in private prisons, fizzy drink, Exxon, fast food and the like, they always need a few celebrities to flash at the media.
This year the cred-celebs are that cheap bodgie Bono, limp Prince William and the walking-talking test pattern Attenborough.
What if we turned them all off? What if, instead of making ourselves targets in yellow vests, we all stopped reading them, reading about them, watching them, listening to them? Entirely!
Think how much effort the media put into creating celebrities. They must need them badly, because mainstream media space is not cheap and empty celeb promotions take a high position. So we need to forget who these people are and what they even look like. And to do that we need to starve the entire mainstream media of our attention…and just about all the alternative media. It can be done. It must be done.
We lose nothing. The free press was lost around the turn of the century and it’s all just manipulative corporate slop. Keeping us near the corral by allowing some controlled diversity is just another stunt. Turn them off.

1500 private jets plus the usual suspects and rent seekers flying in on commercial jets, no doubt on a government subsidy or other. Even her maj and entourage from NZ managed to slip-in. Her contribution was to berate all world leaders for not doing enough about climate change. On achieving the top job in NZ, courtesy of Winston Peters, her claim to fame was to immediately enact the prohibition of all exploration for gas and oil around NZ.
80
At Davos, this is the environmental agenda.
https://www.weforum.org/system-initiatives/shaping-the-future-of-environment-and-natural-resource-security/articles
What is noticeable straight off is that The World Economic Forum has decided that the green side has won the debate, and only those views will be presented.
This is a major blow to any group who is in opposition to 97% consensus on the causes and effects of the observed global warming
78
Yes, its millenarian madness, a weird cargo cult.
103
Well, depending on which New Age books you read, one of the man pushes behind restricting resource usage is so that the Elite can have exclusive access to the worlds fossil fuel resources and a group of ( i.e. those who survived the “cull” by war/etc ) deplorables to function as slaves for them. In their minds, a world population of 500 million means lotsa fun and a bunch of “grateful to be alive” coolies to run around after them.
Mind you, quite a few of the Elite appear to be pyschotic, so I cant imagine how horrific it would be for the survivors / deplorables who would also function as disposable play things.
Evil sods….
80
I don’t share your melancholy viewpoint.
More than likely this millenarian movement will fade into a oblivion when temperatures dip below the Spencer line and stay there. We need some serious La Nina to bring this about.
I blame the Christian culture for bringing on this global warming malaise.
11
Hmmm.
Despite some pity for the losers we get steered to a creepy globalist website while being reminded of that crushing 97% consensus. It seems that being predictably ignored by the fake tan brigade at Davos is some kind of “major blow” for us.
Hmmm.
101
Peter take in the big picture and be astonished.
‘Millenarianism, known also as millennialism, is the belief that the end of this world is at hand and that in its wake will appear a New World, inexhaustibly fertile, harmonious, sanctified, and just. The more exclusive the concern with the End itself, the more such belief shades off toward the catastrophic; the more exclusive the concern with the New World, the nearer it approaches the utopian.’

52
There is also a contributing psychological drive to see things in terms of lifetimes, the extreme version is the 3 year view of political parties Doomsday cults are another very good example, or that one about the Mayan long calendar which expired in 2012. Less attention is paid to genuine world changing events like the smartphone which arguably changed our lives in more profound ways than climate has (so far).
63
We are in the midst of a communications revolution, but there is nothing more profound than a belief in the end of the world through the sins of humanity.

23 Jan: CNN: Climate change will affect the ratio of male-to-female newborns, scientists say
by Susan Scutti
Specifically, climate change could alter the proportion of male and female newborns, with more boys born in places where temperatures rise and fewer boys born in places with other environmental changes, such as drought or wildfire caused by global warming.
A recent study in Japan found a link between temperature fluctuations and a lower male-to-female sex ratio at birth, with conceptions of boys especially vulnerable to external stress factors, wrote Dr. Misao Fukadoda, lead study author and founder of the M&K Health Institute in Hyogo…

by Thomas D. Williams PH.D
“Mobile devices can serve as the backbone communication network in emergency and quasi-emergency situations,” Apple wrote in its report, released Tuesday.
“They can serve as a flashlight or a siren; they can provide first aid instructions; they can act as a radio; and they can be charged for many days via car batteries or even hand cranks,” it said. “Over time, as people begin to experience severe weather events with greater frequency, we expect an increasing need for confidence and preparedness in the arena of personal safety and the well-being of loved ones.”
“This potential need reinforces a trend we believe is already in evidence following the events of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, Superstorm Sandy, and Hurricane Harvey,” it said…
On the downside, Apple said that severe weather events brought on by climate change could “strain the infrastructure systems” that undergird Apple production and marketing, the company said…

The only carbon footprints of significance I can see are those nations who are building many more coal fired power stations; several hundreds in total. I don’t see anyone from the insane left complaining about those nations, probably because the left are too busy terr0rising us for daring to keep our existing coal fired power stations open, whose number is insignificant in the scheme of things compared to the number of new ones being built elsewhere. When are we going to recognise officially the insane left are indeed terr0rists?
70
All true PeterS, but the number of proposed plants are dropping through the floor. China which is building lots, has no future plants in the pipeline

Clearly you are both colour blind and can’t read simple graphs. The “Future” setting shows an enormous increase not just in China but also in many other regions.

Yeah, but that is from plants already under construction, the proposed and planned numbers are dropping.

Yes but so what? We have been closing down our existing ones gradually for some time now with little or no prospect of building even just one new one.

So, a leftist plot which is causing capitalists to shy away from commiting to planning or proposing new coal power. There is a globalist plot and a leftist and capitalist sub-plots. In other words, the left as well as the capitalists are being used as expendable foot soldiers by the globalist elite. As for capitalists in particular, Russia and China are now in many ways more capitalist than the West. The only clever ones in the whole game are the globalists. As usual they don’t care which side wins – they support all sides and becomes richer and more powerful from whoever wins.

24 Jan: ‘He’s coming home’: Tim Flannery returns to Australian Museum
By Josh Dye
Renowned Australian scientist and climate expert Tim Flannery has been appointed to a new climate change role at the Australian Museum in ***a major coup for the institution…
Professor Flannery, the 2007 Australian of the Year, will have dual roles in climate research and public education as the museum’s ***distinguished visiting fellow…
The 12-month position, funded by private donors to the museum, will give Professor Flannery a public platform to speak on climate and energy policy at a crucial time in the lead up to the state and federal elections.
“Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our time, affecting all life on the planet, and Australia is poorly prepared for the massive transition that is about to happen,” Professor Flannery said…
Professor Flannery’s appointment comes after NSW Energy Minister Don Harwin last month criticised the federal government’s energy policy, seeking to draw a distinction between the state and federal Coalitions.
Australian Museum chief executive Kim McKay hailed Professor Flannery’s return. Professor Flannery spent 15 years at the museum, between 1984 and 1999.
“The opportunity to have Tim re-join us for 12 months is just outstanding,” she said. “He’s coming home.”
“He is without doubt Australia’s foremost expert in climate change awareness and action, and so recognised internationally.”…
Ms McKay said the museum has a unique opportunity to educate people about climate change, because of the high levels of public trust the institution enjoys…
Professor Flannery said he is relishing the prospect of getting into NSW schools to inspire the next generation…

I’ve got ever one of his books on the shelf.
I used to be a believer in Tim’s Flannerism.
Now I have seen the light.
I’m glad he is no longer here in South Australia.
Sydney can have him
For he’s not worth much to any one else.

He’s been a frequent and stimulating contributor to The New York Review of Books but his last few essays therein have lacked any sparkle whatsoever to the point that I suppose he has become a disappointment to himself.

to be fair, here’s WEF’s reaction:
23 Jan: WorldEconomicForum: Global Agenda: How many private jets are going to Davos in 2019?
by Oliver Cann
•Based on official statistics for business jet use into and out of Zurich and St Gallen airports, we estimate 14% less private jet use in 2019 compared to 2018
•Taking into account the average number of flights expected at both airports during the year, this equates to around 270 ‘movements’ or a maximum of 135 there-and-back flights
•The Forum offsets all carbon emissions related to air travel to and from our Annual Meeting
These numbers refer only to the first three days of the meeting. However they are a far cry from the 1,500 flights mentioned in some news reports, which appear to be based on marketing literature from a commercial operator.
This year’s drop in private air traffic is a sign that participants are taking the environmental impact of their travel more seriously.
It’s certainly something we have been encouraging. We have been offering incentives to participants to use public transport for some years. We also ask that they share planes if they have to use them; something that has been gaining popularity in recent years…READ ALL

response to WEF’s response:
24 Jan: BusinessInsider: Take a look at the $60 million private jets that fly business leaders to Davos for the World Economic Forum
by Benjamin Zhang
The Air Charter Service expects that roughly 1,500 private jets will shuttle attendees to and from the conference this week. According to the private-jet leasing company, that’s up from the 1,300 private jets that serviced the WEF in 2018.
“The global interest in the event led us to analyse the private jet activity over the past five years of WEF,” Andy Christie, private jet director at ACS, said in a statement. “Davos doesn’t have its own airfield and, whilst we have several clients who fly into the town by helicopter, the four main airfields that private jet users attending the forum use are Zürich, Dübendorf, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, and St. Moritz.”
Oliver Cann, the head of strategic communications at the WEF,pushed back against the ACS’s projections. Instead, Cann argued in a post on the organisation’s website that it expects private jet traffic to drop by 14% from 2018.
While the ACS’s figures used data from four airports, the WEF projection is based only on traffic data from Zürich and St. Gallen-Altenrhein airports…READ ON

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-01-24/new-wechat-app-maps-deadbeat-debtors-in-china/10739016
“In China’s Hebei province, a red circle sweeps out a radius on a map, like a naval radar scanning for enemy ships.
It is the latest tool to be piloted as part of China’s Social Credit System (SCS) that is geared at monitoring the behaviour of the Asian superpower’s 1.4 billion citizens and separating the trustworthy from the disobedient.
Nicknamed the Deadbeat Map, the applet is an add-on to Chinese social media platform WeChat and it allows users to pinpoint the location of those who have failed to pay their debts within a 500-metre radius.
It is the latest court-mandated escalation in naming and shaming “laolai” — a derogatory term for dishonest debtors who are placed on a financial blacklist.
Tapping on a person marked on the map reveals their personal information, including their full name, court case number and the reason they have been labelled untrustworthy. Identity card numbers and home addresses are also partially shown.
Photo: A screenshot from China’s Enforcement Information Disclosure website shows the number of people listed as “untrustworthy” by the courts.
The map turns red to mark a higher concentration of dishonest debtors, but downgrades to orange, yellow and blue if there are fewer.
David Zhou, 60, a resident of Shijiazhuang city in north-eastern Hebei province, said the map appeared to show registered home addresses of “swindlers” or “fraudsters”, not their live locations.
When he stepped out for lunch recently, he saw the radar in the applet turn red and some 28 people identified in his vicinity.
………………..
Partially borne out of the lack of credit history and social trust, the broader SCS is aiming to monitor the behaviour of all of China’s citizens nationwide by 2020, yet it has been rolled out to date as a series of pilot projects across the nation and in various provinces.
One private credit system using data from Alibaba rates people not only on their financial capacity but also on their consumer choices.
Leave no dark corner
China is building a digital dictatorship to exert control over its 1.4 billion citizens. For some, “social credit” will bring privileges, for others, punishment, as Matthew Carney reports.
The example Sesame Credit technology director Li Yingyun gave Chinese media is that a person who buys nappies regularly is responsible, while someone who plays video games all day would be considered lazy.
Being placed on a local blacklist can also place citizens under wide-ranging national restrictions.
More than 18 million people have been banned from flying, and 5.5 million are unable to purchase high-speed rail tickets, according to China’s enforcement information disclosure website.
Delia Lin, a senior lecturer in Chinese studies at the University of Melbourne’s Asia Institute, said the “deadbeat map” marked an unsurprising escalation under China’s developing social credit system.”

23 Jan: CNBC: Former Vice President Al Gore and Prince William meet privately at Davos
•The closed door gathering between the two world leaders came after Gore led a panel on Tuesday at the annual confab titled Safeguarding Our Planet, which focused on climate change.
•When asked about what was specifically discussed, Prince William’s communications secretary Jason Knauf said in a brief interview that it was “about the environment, the themes the vice president was talking about on stage last night.”

The spokesman also noted that Gore is close friends with Charles, Prince of Wales.

23 Jan: WaPo: Davos, this is outrageous
By Christiana Figueres and Greta Thunberg
(This was produced by The WorldPost, a partnership of the ***Berggruen Institute and The Washington Post)
Climate change is an existential threat to humanity and already a matter of life and death for many, but it is just one issue among many on the agenda at this year’s World Economic Forum. It should be the number one priority and should sit at the center of every conversation in Davos.
This week, the two of us — from different generations but united by the same concern for our planet — will jointly address delegates at the summit. Climate change action has never been so urgent, as we are quickly approaching tipping points of no return. In that context, we will talk about leadership, outrage and optimism. We believe these are inspirational times for transformational change…
Here’s a three-step “find and replace” exercise for leaders gathered in Davos to enact that will immediately clean up our air and help safeguard our climate:
•Find coal, and replace it with renewable energy supported by storage.
•Find internal combustion engines, and replace them with zero-emissions mobility.
•Find crop burning (when farmers burn the stubble left over from the harvest to clear the ground quickly for new planting) and replace it with “no till” and “low till” technologies that enrich the soil instead of burning its nutrients.
Bold decisive action on coal, combustion engines and crop burning — across direct operations, investment portfolios and supply chains — requires real leadership. While these steps are being implemented in some places, it is not yet enough.
That’s why in nearly every continent, students have joined the school strike for climate, declaring that they want a different future, that they are unstoppable and that another world is possible. Tens of thousands of students in Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Australia and elsewhere have joined the strike. Their leadership is powerful. Transformational change is coming.

5 Dec 2018: Newsrep: Washington Post runs an apology for China’s authoritarian government, courtesy of the Berggruen Institute
by Jack Murphy
The Washington Post recently ran a curious opinion piece — one that offers up an apology (along with multiple excuses) for China’s so-called social credit system. We’ve covered it here on NEWSREP going back to 2016, but it’s really only over the last year that China’s social credit scheme — most often described as Orwellian — has really been reported on by the mainstream news outlets…
The Washington Post piece, penned by ***Berggruen Institute vice president and director Bing Song, offers to soften the edges of China’s social credit scheme… soothing us with claims that it isn’t quite as Orwellian as the Western world makes it out to be…
Something certainly smelled fishy about the WaPo op-ed, but Mike Forsythe at the New York Times did a bit of digging on who Bing Song is. She is a former high-ranking executive at Goldman Sachs, where she made managing director in just two years. As Forsythe points out, this is the elite of the elite in high finance. Prior to this, Song attended Oxford — paid for by the Swire Corporation. She is married to Daniel Bell, also with the Berggruen Institute, who has written extensively about how, in his opinion, the Chinese government is no longer a communist dictatorship but rather a merit-based one-party system. He teaches at Tsinghua University in Beijing…
Some Chinese strategists have stated that they see their primary goal as to be the managing of a declining power, the United States, into its future position as a second-rate power. Browsing through the leadership of the Berggruen Institute one can’t help shake the feeling that they are designed to provide the trans-pacific relationship to enable this to happen as they publish books with titles such as “The Changing Global Order” and “Beyond Liberal Democracy.”
This is all especially ironic when it is published under Washington’s Posts motto: “Democracy Dies in the Darkness.”READ ON
