Adaniphobia: Ministers cry, Anti coal protesters glue themselves to a crosswalk

Master Plan: Let’s fight extinction …by gluing ourselves to a road.

Lo! Australia voted, and the large Adani coal mine magically emerged from eight years of red tape. But the anguish has just begun. Rebels are gluing themselves to main roads to stop traffic in Brisbane. The Environment Minister admits she shed tears and just yesterday was caught using the word “devastated“. On Friday, there’s a national day of “action” (or inaction perhaps, on crosswalks).

This is only going to get worse. Its the logical end in a country with no conversation. It makes sense if you think the world is going to end. In a mature community they’d hear other voices. In Australia, they hear The ABC.

So what does it take to get in the national media these days? Two people lie down…

Climate change protesters glue themselves to Brisbane’s busiest street

Protestor glued to road

Rage away. The passers by are not enthused.

Two climate change activists have shut down one of Brisbane’s busiest streets this morning after they glued themselves to a zebra crossing.

by Natalie Wolfe

Brisbane commuters are furious …

Ebony, glue girl, speaks:

“I’m not fighting, I’m speaking up for Mother Earth. We have to stop all of this bulls**t that’s hurting. We can all feel it. We cannot lie anymore, we have to tell the truth,” she said via social media…

Sergio similarly glued himself onto the road to fight extinction…

 Count them:

Three other Extinction Rebellion protesters stood nearby and held a banner that read “Business as usual = Death”.

 Five people = a protest.

A Facebook event for the protest was created before this morning. It said the motive was to “give commuters a little shock”… The protest is not sitting well with Brisbane commuters, with one commenter on social media even calling for the pair to be jailed…

Serge did a science degree so he could glue himself:

@XRebellionAus

Serge at the Extinction Rebellion Brisbane road blocks to take a stand against extinction: “I grew up in South East Queensland. I thought going to university and studying science could help save us. Turns out we have the science and it’s governments subduing that science…

If only someone had taught Serge what science was.

I read about this s incident in the Daily Mail Autralia. It explained that “Serge” was surnamed Herbert and is the underachieving but brainy triplet with two hot female models. The irony is, as I recently read at WUWT is that the while Extinction Rebellion is based on a hoax reading. The actual science does not support their claims. In fact, it contradict it. This Serge drooped out if UNSWs to be an activist supported by his parents. A very gullible “activist.” How sad.

      Hi Jo,

This is one of the most poignant comments I have read in quite a while.

“This is only going to get worse. Its the logical end in a country with no conversation. It makes sense if you think the world is going to end. In a mature community they’d hear other voices. In Australia, they hear The ABC.”

In Australia, as in other countries, there is a concerted effort to prohibit, reduce or remove any conservative, countervailing opinion from public discussion. Freedom of thought and speech is slowly being denied to all citizens (I was gonna to say “men” but then I realized that might be interpreted as sexist. “Citizen” sounds much more soviet, progressive and collective.)

At the level of maturity being displayed there, a couple of diaper changers would probably solve the problem.

Its their clothes that are glued to the road.

A nice pair of scissors will detach them from the organic part.

Whatever will give the utmost humiliation.

I recon a couple of buckets of beer slops and cigarette butts would do the job very nicely!

Remember Peter Jarrett the lefty lovey failed labor poster child? I was working for ERA in Jabiru when he and the Melbourne rent a protest crowd were blockading the mine in 1998. 2 of the numb nuts had apparently cemented their hands together in a 44 gallon drum and blocked the access road early in the morning. We arrive for shift, the workers organized a 4 wheel drive convoy and we all just drove around them! And the Police, they just sat and watched them from their air conditioned cars – ALL DAY in the mid summer heat! By about 2 pm they were all completely stuffed, the media had gone and the mine was business as usual, so the numb nuts pulled their hands out of the drum, Police got out of their air conditioned cars and arrested them and 4 others and drove them to Darwin.
After fining them, the Judge told them to stay out of Jabiru the 6 had no hesitation in agreeing, which brought big a smile to the Police Prosecutor and Judges face. You see, instead of driving them the 250 km to Darwin on the Kakadu Highway (about 2.5 hrs.), the Police took them by the “scenic route”. Mid afternoon, middle of summer, Police ute open cage on the back with wood benches (so they could enjoy the scenery), 6 hours on 4 wheel drive tracks and bull dust about 6″ deep all the way, they were completely covered in red dust about 1″ thick, standing in front of the Judge!

If only one had some bituminous paint and an old school goose-feather pillow. But given that’s not easily to hand the pedestrians could have had a little tinkle, or something a bit more odious to signify (negative) support.

Instead, twenty years later, the police erect a shade to shelter the protesters from the sun. I’d expect this in Victoria but not in Queensland.

Since it is probably only the clothes that are glued, just cut the clothes off them and take them away. If it isn’t the clothes that are glued to the road, cut the clothes off them and take the clothes away. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind demonstrating the naked truth of their beliefs.

They’re gonna need a bigger tube of fossil-fuelled super glue …

The 2050 ‘carbon neutrality’ goal is a recognition that fossil fuels are never going away.

Now all EU nations have to do is figure out how to claim that their emissions are being offset somewhere by trees or plankton.

18 EU countries now support 2050 carbon neutrality goal –

I can think of about a hundred useful questions about that disgraceful scene.

Where are the police? Presumably it is against the law to block the public streets of Australia.

Where is their evidence. The more ridiculous they become the less they know about the concept of evidence. So someone should ask.

Shouldn’t someone call their parents and tell them that little Jimmy is playing in the street again? I would want to know if my kid was playing in the street.

Don’t you have a girlfriend in a pretty negligee waiting for you? What are you doing wasting your time here?

    …. 🙁 …

—————— And they go all the way down to a matter of public safety ——————

Aren’t you afraid some careless driver will run over you? It happens all the time to those who play games in the street.

And finally, is it permitted to hope some careless driver does hit one of them? No? Well, I didn’t think so but the temptation gets mighty strong sometimes.

Perhaps a couple of strong young mates can be found and persuaded to drag them out of the public thoroughfare.

It depends upon which state you are in. Victoria is renowned for being lenient on protesters who obstruct major thoroughfares. The Premier of Victoria marched in one protest, go figure.

Queensland is much stronger in dealing with dickheads. Unfortunately, they went easy on these clowns.

On the other hand, here’s the Queensland police acting like the police.

About police acting like police: I may have missed something or be misinterpreting something but it looked like the first reaction was to question police motive and justification.

They have placed themselves in the position of being nothing but a speed bump. They assume they will not be treated as such by others. That is a very dangerous assumption to make.

I suspect there would be many who would not be so kind. Especially since they were blocking the normal flow of traffic. If they tried that on the I405 in Los Angeles during the rush hour, there would be nothing but a very large red patch on the highway.

They need to be stranded on a deserted island and left for a year to fend for themselves. Maybe then they would learn there is a real world out there that doesn’t give a damn about cooperating with them. It is they who must cooperate with the real world.

If they tried that on a Central Auckland City road, they would be mobbed by hungry seagulls … and then the Police would have to haul them off the road for their own safety!

I was hit almost head-on on my motorcycle by a black-back trying to make height off the road after scavenging somebody’s lunch. They’re a heavy bird. Fortunately my bike was much heavier and it left a fistful of feathers behind. They usually dodge much better than that so this must have been a juvenile and was still learning that fine art. That was only a couple of years ago.

Just my usual anti-globalist rant here…

It does not matter if it’s jellybeans or lumps of coal we are selling off. Once it leaves the country, it’s somebody else’s resource. We get some dough, a few local jobs…not a bad deal. Fair trade.

Our ruin lies in failure to use coal domestically to maximum effect and benefit while fouling the grid with clunky renewables.

Adani will go ahead despite some kids getting excited because coal exports are allowed by the globalist script. Yes, we may export coal. But we must import masses of worthless contraptions to hang off the grid and interfere with the energy we produce here from our own coal. Because that too is in the script. (And despite certain ructions in the Persian Gulf our continued dependence on imported diesel is very much in the script. Never ask why, silly skippies.)

Is it necessary to mention again that the people behind the green script don’t give a hoot about “carbon” or any of the matters which so concern our superglued activists?

    Around this area

Google engineers tried and failed in the RE<C project. ""Trying to combat climate change exclusively with today’s renewable energy technologies simply won’t work; we need a fundamentally different approach," wrote Google's Ross Koningstein and David Fork in a piece published yesterday in IEEE's Spectrum."

Bill Gates ": “Do you guys on Wall Street have something in your desks that makes steel? Where is fertilizer, cement, plastic going to come from? Do planes fly through the sky because of some number you put in a spreadsheet?”

Manhattan Institute "Scientists have yet to discover, and entrepreneurs have yet to invent, anything as remarkable as hydrocarbons in terms of the combination of low-cost, high-energy density, stability, safety, and portability. In practical terms, this means that spending $1 million on utility-scale wind turbines, or solar panels will each, over 30 years of operation, produce about 50 million kilowatt-hours (kWh)—while an equivalent $1 million spent on a shale rig produces enough natural gas over 30 years to generate over 300 million kWh."

    https://www.manhattan-institute.org/green-energy-revolution-near-impossible

But politicians, woke activists, Canadian economists and journalists know better….obviously."

If they really believe that “business as usual=death” then they need to go to the next level. Why just protest about Adani? Why not demand a stop to all the coal mining in the Bowen Basin and the Hunter and Latrobe Valleys. Result: entire east coast electricity grid shuts down, and everyone immediately understands what extinction means. Or better still, take them outback and let them live off grid.

    Count them:
Three other Extinction Rebellion protesters stood nearby and held a banner that read “Business as usual = Death”.

Can’t you keep them all closely together?
Perhaps glue them all in one spot?

A cyanoacrylate drench would be suitable for all of them. All those tight corners where skin is adjacent to skin would achieve instant immobility.
Given that much cyanoacrylate is catalyzed by moisture, terrorist sweating or loss of bladder control would immediately activate uncatalyzed cyanoacrylate.

It is really hard to permanently mark or glue human skin. So, all glued flesh will eventually separate from sweat and oils. Given the personal hygiene demonstrated by many protestors, it may be very difficult for glue to work effectively.
