Extinction Rebellion founder suggests bullets may improve the climate

Fury as Extinction Rebellion founder say MPs and business owners ‘should have bullet put through their heads’

The Sun, Sept 2, 2020

A BRITISH co-founder of Extinction Rebellion sparked fury after suggesting MPs and business owners “should have a bullet through their heads”.

Ex-organic farmer Roger Hallam criticised the people “who run society” – saying they were “culpable” for the climate catastrophe.

In a recording obtained by Guido, the 54-year-old was heard saying:

They [leaders] are exponentially more culpable for climate catastrophe.

“1990 might as well give them six months in prison, now maybe you should put a bullet through their head – or rather someone probably will.”

The real crime are the leaders and journalists who feed the delusions for their own profit and power. Creating things like pap declarations of “Climate Emergencies”. They are not just symbolism, they become the license for extreme responses. It’s a psychological and legal tool where people can both justify their own reckless behaviour to themselves, but also to justify dangerous acts of civil disobedience in a court.

Not long back Roger Hallam was calling for Nuremberg style trials.

The founder of Extinction Rebellion wants those responsible for climate change to face Nuremberg-style trials.

Roger Hallam also called for a ‘World War Two mobilisation’ of society, with rationing and the confiscation of private property.

Asked how those responsible for climate change should be dealt with, he told The Times: ‘The question will be who’s culpable, in the same way [as] with the Nazis.

He added that ‘maybe [we] should put a bullet in the head’ as punishment.

A bullet here, and a bullet there, and pretty soon we’ll be talking about a bloody revolution.

Extinction Rebellion responded that this was old news, and they’re resolutely non-violent now. Roger Hallam supposedly said this a year ago and is not formally involved any more. But there is no denying that he and Gail Bradbrook co-founded Extinction Rebellion. They set up the movement after she was inspired by a hallucinogenic experience. Bradbrook happily admitted that she flew 11,000 air miles to Costa Rica for a holiday in 2016 where she took the drugs. She “tripped” in every sense of the word, and flew home to the UK to start a movement, separate from her family, end a marriage and “that was the right thing to do”.

Hallam likes bullets and socialist governments:

If we’re going to have a possibility of living, we’re looking at mass socialistic organisation.”

As Guido says: Socialism brought about by the barrel of a gun. History shows where this leads…

Roger Hallam is a failed organic farmer who also failed to get a phd with a thesis on civil disobedience. He was sidelined from XR when he made anti Semitic comments in Germany.

He is a failed leader and avtivist and his co founder is little better.

I have challenged the local cult members to

    A) show me the pathway as to how they would get to zero carbon by 2030
2 what they would use for energy
3 how much it would cost
4 what they believe they would actually achieve as:

a Britain has emissions of 1% of world human total of which 96% is natural anyway
b no one else would follow our lead so absolutely nothing would change
c it would anyway take four hundred years for temperatures to fall and up to 1000 for co2 levels to fall assuming other countries were daft enough to go for zero emissions

Disappointingly they won’t divulge how we would get from a to their desired Z nor address any of the other issues.

I think the public is pretty fed up ith their nonsense by now and have more important things to worry about

Extinction Rebellion Lets the Veil Slip on their Political Agenda

So it is not clear why the protestors believe that Soviet style socialism would somehow improve global environmental stewardship. At the very least the onus is on the protestors to explain why their hammer and sickle socialism would somehow be different from the previous attempt at hammer and sickle socialism.

If this is a big misunderstanding, and Extinction Rebellion are not actually advocating Soviet style socialism, or if the protest group is into extinction but not actually officially affiliated with XR, using the word “Extinction” and a hammer and sickle on their main protest banner is a very confusing attempt to communicate their ideals and goals.

People are generally ignorant of history both recent and ancient.

AOC’s green new deal is wrapped up in the outer trappings of FDR’s failed attempts of over coming the Great Depression and also WW2’s mobilization ( which should be insulting to those who lived that era and even more insulting to those families who made the ultimate sacrifices for freedom, which the GND would destroy). But really Mao’s Great Leap Forward offers a strong parallel to the GND. To those unaware, the GLF caused the economy to collapse and lead to a famine and the deaths of several millions. Additionally, the Cultural Revolution instigated by Mao was violent thuggery and mob rule by his Red Guards (brown shirts) to purge those who did not pass the ideological purity test for socialism. BLM, Antifa, organized protests riots are another strong parallel.

Socialism, has a long history. In Dark Age Japan, two princes staged a coup and set up essentially a socialist government and economic system. All private property was banned and then redistributed to the population every six years. This was called the Taika “Reforms” also known as the ritsuryo system. They worked enormously well if you were an elite, a member of the clergy, a government bureaucrat, or an academic with connections and exclusive credentials, having studied in China. In practice the system worked to up hold the elite in high living but remainder of population became enslaved, consigned to miserable existence of back breaking labor and high taxes, with no social mobility. The land, which was all important because it was a wet rice agricultural society, was generally redistributed evenly except cronies always got the best sections of land. After awhile it was the same rich and powerful families that got the best of everything. Additionally, officials, even emperors eventually, became figureheads with the real power (deep state politics) controlling things from behind the scenes.

      Some things to think about……

        That’s how it is,
        And how it was,
And how it always will be. (The Slipper and the Rose).

Mao starved them to death by the tens of millions. Stalin the same.

Soon after the outbreak of CV19 UN figures started warning of impending famine. I thought surely not. If things got that bad there is a huge buffer in the foodstuffs currently used for biofuels. They could be switched to human consumption. But I underestimated the politicians.

After some very bad seasons dramatically reduced our agricultural production, Eastern Australia is at the moment offering a bumper harvest in the coming months. But the regulations put in place by governments are preventing farmers from getting seasonal workers to bring in the harvest. Like so much of what we are seeing in recent months, it’s mind boggling. We stand at risk of watching that bumper harvest rot in the field!

BTW. The reduction in production that I mentioned severely cut barley and beef production. A lot of the beef and barley that China and Australia are squabbling about doesn’t exist.

I find our current governments are so much in confusion, they are like snakes eating themselves selves from the tail first.
    Here is an example:
The Ontario government is trying to open schools in September and just released funds a few weeks ago to the school to hire hundreds of teachers, custodians, nurses and healthcare workers.
The teachers union had signed deals before this Pandemic and anything new is extra work not in the contracts. Schools now can be a high contagious zone as they are still not prepared with new ventilation and all this extra PPE yet to be ordered or arriving.
And none of these new workers have the proper education qualified as the schools were closed.

This is clearly not going to end well in the US. Civil war is starting to look like a real possibility not just an exaggeration. We have our own version of socialist dictator seeding unrest where they arrested a pregnant 28-year-old woman in front of her partner and two children for planning an anti-lockdown protest in regional Victoria. The video has gone viral across the world and now we are being labelled as a tyrannical state. I’m now wondering how much longer this lock down madness will go on for before the people snap even here in sleepy Australia. It might take many months but there is a limit for sure. Time will tell.

So, as comments on this site attest, it is ok to use deadly force on protesters to protect bricks and mortar, then I expect that it must also be ok to use the same force to protect the environment, which is the logical parent of the aforesaid bricks and mortar.

Just to be clear, I do not support any action which harms any living creature, I’m just stating a logical consequence of the indiscriminate use of deadly force, particularly by self styled vigilantes, who seem to place themselves and their ‘cause’ above the law.

    Green lives matter!

      Peter F:

much of the violence is coming from those who claim they want to “save the environment”. And if the Victorian government is that determined to keep the current social repression then ultimately there will be violence, as people here are pointing out. A sort of Eureka moment.

The parent of bricks and mortar is human ingenuity and productiveness, not the environment. The defence of property against an aggressor is not an indiscriminate use of force. It is a matter of justice in response to a crime. To morally equate the violation of property rights with their defence is to corrupt the concept of justice. The lives of criminals who attack you don’t matter as much as your own.

I am a little late to this post, but

the environment, which is the logical parent of the aforesaid bricks and mortar.

Mankind is the Logical Parent of Bricks and Mortar.
The Environment is merely a resource which is used by living creatures.
Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but – Mankind has Bricks and Mortar.
Obviously, all living creatures thus contribute to changes in The Environment

“Bricks and Mortar” is of use to Society,, that is Mankind: Houses, Stores, Factories, Warehouses, Schools, Universities, Places of Worship …, and an attack on said Bricks and Mortar is an attack on Mankind.

Personally, I would be miffed at XR (or Jehovah’s Witnesses, for that matter) reducing my home to rubble, just because I happen not to believe what they believe. Somewhat uncivilised, don’t you know.

Just to be clear, I do not support any action which harms any living creature …

      Are you sure of that?

In hand washing, as a surfactant, when lathered with a little water, soap kills microorganisms by disorganizing their membrane lipid bilayer and denaturing their proteins. It also emulsifies oils, enabling them to be carried away by running water.

Mankind isn’t the parent of bricks and mortar, F.S. The individuals who applied enough grey matter to think it then achieve it are the parents of it. Mankind, as a whole, benefits from their achievement, so long as mankind stays on a path of freedom.

Good point about the surfactant. It’s much broader than that though. Every action that man takes to live necessarily harms animals in some way. The very act of walking is going to hurt something, let alone digging a mine or cutting down a forest.

Does anyone setiously think whats happening in victoria and the leftist anarchy in the USA is some accident of history?

    100

No it’s not an accident; it’s certainly deliberate. The question though is what is the real agenda in the minds of those in control. Is it just power gone to their heads or something far more sinister and evil? I’m not so sure yet but I suppose we will find out eventually. What worries me though is the awareness held by most voters; are they still asleep or awake?

Well, considering they want to reduce the world population by 95% I’d suggest they are insanely serious.

Interestingly, Ive noticed some people are now saying they are openly being kicked off/censored from a lot of leftist-run main social media platforms for daring question the official govt covid narrative and daring to suggest using drugs (instead of vaccines). I told people this was coming.

One Christian news service I follow has been kicked off pretty much all social media, so they built their own streaming services to stay running.

So if we look at the failing Soviet Socialist Republic of Victoriastan
where they arrest pregnant moms for even suggesting a public get together ( is this in effect, a “thought crime”? ) and OK, it does go against the current draconian laws, but no warning, just dropped the hammer on her.

And I’ll bet the police won’t come banging on Hallam’s door and take him away in cuffs for hate crimes . . . unlike the woman who was arrested in front of her 20 month old son and her 10 year old autistic daughter and taken away for the crime of “mis-gendering” a trans-gender activist with a history of litigious behaviour.

Or the 74 year old instructed by police to remove her offending tweets that “gender is fashionable nonsense.”

Or the fellow who was contacted by local police officers after “liking” a limerick on twitter which was alleged to be trans-phobic.

But threatening death by a bullet to the head is OK as long as it is for “the cause” and the Woke Police and lefty judges won’t lift a finger. The UK police are a bad joke these days.

That’s not the point Tony. Why were any of those cases even instigated in the first place? Why was a woman dragged off to a police cell for several hours and subjected to further investigation for “mis-gendering”? Police harassment is not OK whether it leads to conviction or not.

Yes in this up-side-down world where evil is good and good is evil it’s no wonder we are seeing the easy victims being arrested for trivia yet those who commit far more serious acts are not even touched and in some cases encouraged by left leaning state governments/governors. If this continues much longer it will backfire and all hell will break loose, and society as we know it will collapse. It all needs to be put to a stop before it gets to that point, and one way to do that is to vote the left leaning political leaders out of office everywhere. That requires public awareness as to what’s happening right under their noses. It would be nice to see the Democrats loose almost every state at the next election to send the message loud and clear but alas that’s not going to happen because too many voters just don’t have a clue, are too stupid or couldn’t give a damn, much like here in Australia.

As written in a WUWT post quoting socialist alliance

On this basis, let me agree with Adam that the damage done to the environment by the Soviet regime and its successor doesn’t remotely bear comparison with that in the West. It was, and remains, catastrophically worse. Particular countries elsewhere, especially in the developing world, have suffered one or another ecological disaster, sometimes of mind-bending dimensions. The USSR managed something in just about every sector of heavy industry to match the worst of them.

And still they use the sickle-and-hammer symbol in extinction rebellion marches.
