Patrick Byrne, the former Overstock founder, billionaire, and man who took on the worst of Wall Street around 2005 (and won) has written up — for history’s sake what he saw during the wild weeks of the Election that just unfolded. Byrne is also an award winning business, investigative journalist, in 2008 Deepcapture.com was voted the best journalism regarding corruption in the US.
History scholars will be reading it for years to come, assuming there still are history scholars.
How DJT Lost the White House

The Trump war room was not exactly what Byrne expected.
I should explain what I expected to find. I expected to find a command post staffed by lawyers and quants. The quants would be doing the statistical work, driving answers that would feed lawyers being notified of the research into such irregularities as I have walked through previously, and would be availing themselves of whatever remedies the law surely provided. I figured there would be a war-board, with the states in question having boxed out all relevant data, progress, and to-do’s. There would be an information loop, obviously, such that the campaign headquarters in each state would be on a daily conference call to receive updates on progress. Thinking that may be a fair bit for one 76-year-old gentleman to manage, I imagined Rudy might have some strong COO, perhaps a lawyer, or perhaps an executive, who might be keeping assignments on track.
What I found is this:
The place was 20% empty, and another 30% were packing out their desks.
One conference room held a large number of lawyers around a table. At least 3 of them were good. These lawyers were the mules of the operation. They were each assigned one or more states. Yet there were things going on at the state level or below, bubbling up organically, and local lawyers jumping in filing actions. I came to learn that between Rudy’s legal team and the campaign staff there was 0 communication, even though they jointly occupied 2/3 of an office story. And between the campaign staff and the activities of those local groups and their lawyers, there was also 0 communication. I did not know if that was for a legal reason or just the way they operated. In time, I came to realize it was the latter.
Byrne details his interactions with Sidney Powell, and Rudy Guiliani and another person he refers to as “the Mediocrity”. In the wash Michael Flynn and Sidney Powell come off as sharp and productive, but sadly — not so Guiliani. Byrne had his own team crunching numbers, statistics and drilling through data. But he was unable to convey the import or significance of that to Guiliani no matter how hard he tried. The descriptions of him fighting the last war, and with several scotches too many, are hard to read. It would have been a pressure cooker atmosphere. And if Guiliani, or Trump himself, had had the right powerhouse deputy, perhaps the good plan might have rolled. Instead the clock ran out, the plan was unplayed. It may just be that the priority list was stacked badly, the cards were played in the wrong order, and the best and biggest play was missed while people waited for the Intelligence Report that didn’t quite come, or the resolution of any case, or the almost-maybe-nearly best option of the State Legislatures overturning their own certifications — and we know those state legislatures were calling for sessions at the last minute to reconsider as the Capital Hill vote unfolded on January 6. Too little too late, though Mike Pence could have given that a chance.
Byrne’s thoughts on Rudy Guiliani:
I feared overwhelming him, so I tried to simplify. As I spoke he occasionally grunted stoically, and it was difficult to judge what was sinking in. After about 10 minutes Rudy started checking his multiple phones for texts, right in front of me as we sat together. Conversing with one of his assistants, sending someone on a side errand, or receiving a report back. It felt rather strange to be talking to a man who was paying so little attention…
Giuliani was still fighting the last war…
There was chaos in the office as well, a S***-show as Byrne describes it. But one telling paragraph suggests that Bryne found out later, that before he even arrived, Guiliani had already decided that they wouldn’t be trying election fraud in any of their cases:
Rudy had declared, “You can never prove election fraud in a courtroom!” and had insisted that it was not going to be part of their legal strategy. The strategy was going to be to challenge things on procedural grounds: “This county in this state had one set of rules, this other county in that same state used a different set of rules, that violates the Equal Protection Clause of the 14 Amendment.”
And probably, in past elections where games with electronic machine had not played a large role, there may not have been grounds to win a case in the past. But this time might have been different.
That Friday afternoon, November 6, the first time I arrived there just days after the election, I had, in fact, stumbled in on Sidney just as she was recovering from that exchange. And Sidney had sent me to talk to Rudy because she needed someone else to explain what she was herself just realizing: a new form of election fraud had emerged that was not about hundreds of dead people voting in some city but was about the possibility of several hundreds of thousands of votes being injected into each of several certain locations. Rudy had just not been processing any of it from her, and probably did no better from me, and that was why he kept trying to talk with me about how Joe Frazier (1944- 2011) was still voting in Philadelphia.
Though, it has to be said that the US judicial system might not have dealt well with that kind of case anyhow.
Sidney Powell understood:
I found Sidney was well-informed, open-minded, and it became clear she was on top of things. In short, she was an equal with whom I could have an intelligent conversation. … she understood what we were saying, and we quickly tied things into what she already knew. It was a highly-productive first conversation, and she ended it by telling me that I needed to go to the other side of the office, find Rudy Giuliani, and immediately tell him everything I had just shared with her.
Byrne has a team of cyber-heads who “enjoy geeking-out to each other in technical acronyms”. He calls them dolphin speakers. He also came across one member of the team who was so counter-productive, Byrne refers to him only as The Medocrity. To get an idea of how dysfunctional things were at times, there’s the story of the one-page explanation. After trying to convey his team’s math and stat analysis the junior staffers in Rudy’s office insisted he provide a one page explanation. “With bullet-points”, “and graphs and data”, but “no more than one page!”
Byrne spent hours distilling the dolphin-speak of the quants to produce a one-pager to try to get through to Guiliani. But when it came time to deliver it, it was 11pm at night, Guiliani was on the third scotch, the the Mediocrity was at the table (but Byrne was not allowed to be). The Mediocrity joked about the one-pager: “can you believe … this is all he wrote”. That was the night before one of the Big Press Events — the one which became the running hair-dye day in the news. Guiliani talked at length about all the usual well known forms of fraud, but Sidney Powell was meant to discuss the new epidemic of electronic and systematic problems.
As Byrne says of Guiliani, “Nine hours earlier, he had had nine shots of whiskey in under 90 minutes.”

Chaos and obstacles from within and without
Byrne writes of chaos where opposing lawyers intimidated Trumps legal team, and Trumps lawyers pulled out. Their behaviour was so unprofessional, the opposing lawyer pulled out too. At the last minute the Trump team found a stand-in lawyer, and cases were filed, but they didn’t mention election fraud.
Rudy’s team sent an emergency request for Byrne to fly his cyber guys to Georgia so they could analyze some machines. Apparently all the legal details, the locations was all sorted. But when Byrne sent his team who were given the run around, driven from place to place, never quite getting the right machines, the right paperwork, or to see the right people. No doubt the deep state was being as unhelpful as possible. Rudy’s team perhaps would have to have had superhuman organisation.
As Byrnes team were driven away they saw 17 police cars drive past to enter the building they had just left. Seventeen.
But witnesses, volunteers and help was flooding in
In the weeks after the election Patrick Byrne was deluged with offers of help and information. Somehow people gathered in to clusters and groups and found a way to reach him from across the country. These were the whistleblowers and witnesses. None wanted to be paid. Byrne covered expenses and flew many across the nation. He was fashioning what he expected to find in Rudy’s office. There were so many they set up operations in hotels scattered across Washington. People with a military background created a system to gather stories and summaries which were fed up a chain of analysts.
On Michael Flynn and spies:
Conversing with Mike was like meeting and speaking with another entrepreneur: we finished each other’s sentences and saw what needed to be done almost without conversing.
Michael Flynn was head of the intelligence agencies in the US. He immediately ordered the whole team out of Washington DC and into the countryside. Though Byrne found a a variety of odd people with no discernible role, who “gave him the creeps”. One man promised to pass on three messages for Byrne, but could remember none of them 2 seconds after declaring he “got em all”. Another women made up excuses for hanging around, got caught, and eventually admitted she was working for someone else. After they left a wired device was found in one of the key room.
The Mediocrity
The Mediocrity had evolved into our point of contact with Rudy’s team, and nothing seemed to flow well. On November 26, Thanksgiving Day, we were all sitting together in a restaurant in DC, and discussing their problems. Sitting there eating our turkey dinner, they gave me quite an earful. How the Mediocrity was super-controlling about information, plans, access. How the Mediocrity seemed to think they were peons, were telling them, “Go here, go there,” with no explanatory information, no sense of “Hey teammates, this is what is going on, and we are going to work on it together!”
The Mediocrity had told them all to go to Antrim County in Michigan in two days. Patrick had many questions about the why’s and wherefores, but the Mediocrity turned up and stood over them at late Thanksgiving Dinner and replied abstrusely:
“First, what is your corporate structure?”
We all looked at each other, male and female, 75, Weaponized Autism and others, not previously having given the matter much thought. We were just a bunch of people who had found each other and were trying to expose what looked like a world-historic election fraud together. Finally I said, “Our corporate structure is that we’re the Bad News Bears. I’m team coach.”
“Ok Patrick,” Mediocrity continued. “Here’s what’s going on. I’ve told you where you need to be in Michigan on Saturday. Be there. Or tell us you cannot, and we’ll find someone who can.”
Whereupon there was some determined talking over the top of each other til the Mediocrity blinked, and Byrne hit back:
I politely said, “Where in the f— do you get off? We don’t work for you. We are volunteers here offering to help you do things you have no clue how to do. Go find someone else anytime you want. The way you people work in this city is astonishing. If you ever try to work at a modern company like Google, or Facebook, your ass will be fired in a New York minute. You suck.”
I saw Mediocrity was crestfallen, and realizing I had overdone it, I gently escorted Mediocrity away from the table. I tried to soothe things over a bit, and put a nice façade on things, and not leave Mediocrity embarrassed. As we parted, Mediocrity turned to me and said, “Don’t worry. I’ll be with the President. I’ll make sure you get full credit for all of this.”
Exasperated, I returned to my seat and friends.
It will turn out the The Mediocrity and Rudy Guiliani were key gatekeepers controlling the information flow to the White House. Byrne got Guiliani’s number that night (Thanksgiving), but though he called, he never got through. So the future of the West was at a critical juncture and it hung heavily on three people in their mid seventies. Ultimately the boss chooses the staff. Trump’s greatest flaw might be his loyalty. No doubt Guiliani would have his own version of events, and always came across as a knowledgeable wise man in his videos. It could be argued that if Pence had not folded on Jan 6, and one state decertified their Democrat electors, that others may have flipped like dominoes. On January 5th both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were asking for time to hold another vote. 88 legislators from 5 states were asking for a delay. But it was all so late, so last minute. This was a new war, a different battle, with spies, threats, strong personalities, extreme stakes and above all — with deadlines approaching at mach speed. And all the while the Deep Swamp was working to make nothing easy for the Trump team. It would bring out the worst of many people.
Democracy Defense Coalition—their work touched every aspect of the election. They got states to change voting systems and laws and helped secure hundreds of millions in public and private funding. They fended off voter-suppression lawsuits, recruited armies of poll workers and got millions of people to vote by mail for the first time. They successfully pressured social media companies to take a harder line against disinformation and used data-driven strategies to fight viral smears. They executed national public-awareness campaigns that helped Americans understand how the vote count would unfold over days or weeks, preventing Trump’s conspiracy theories and false claims of victory from getting more traction. After Election Day, they monitored every pressure point to ensure that Trump could not overturn the result.

My favourite it the down ballot anomaly: electors supposedly preferred the walking dead, biden, at the top of the ticket but then voted GOP down the rest of the ballot; that single inconsistency was much greater in 2020 then in any other election.
Trump made 3 basic mistakes:
1 He underestimated the swamp, particularly the media and big tech

3 He thought there were still rules

GOP GAINS ANOTHER CONGRESSIONAL SEAT: Judge ruling: Certify Claudia Tenney as winner in NY-22.

A judge declared Tenney the winner; however, Brindisi promised to appeal to the state court, or even contest the election at the House of Representatives.
If the judge’s ruling stands, it would represent a significant victory for House Republicans, as the House Democrat majority would shrink to nine.

Hans von Spakovksy: Democrat Marc Elias Using Trump’s Argument Against Voting Machines
Hans von Spakovsky, the manager of the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform Initiative, mocked Democrat lawyer Marc Elias for claiming faulty voting machines affected a congressional election in New York.
Spakovsky noted that Elias was trying to overturn an apparent Republican victory: “Guess what? He’s out there contesting it, and he’s saying, ‘Why, there’s something wrong with the voting machines there.’ Does that sound familiar?”
As Breitbart News reported earlier this week, Elias is claiming that faulty voting machines, procedural irregularities, and violations of state law are responsible for legitimate votes being denied to Democratic candidate Anthony Brindisi in New York’s 22nd congressional district, who currently appears to be losing by 125 votes to Republican Claudia Tenney.
In a legal filing on behalf of Brindisi, Elias wrote (original emphasis):
In this case, there is reason to believe that voting tabulation machines misread hundreds if not thousands of valid votes as undervotes, (supra at 4), and that these tabulation machine errors disproportionately affected Brindisi, (id.). In addition, Oswego County admitted in a sworn statement to this Court that its tabulation machines were not tested and calibrated in the days leading up to the November 3, 2020 General Election as required by state law and necessary to ensure that the counts generated by tabulation machines are accurate.
Elias, a partner at the Perkins Coie law firm, is also representing Democrat Rita Hart in an appeal directly to the Democrat-run House of Representatives in an effort to overturn the result of the election in Iowa’s second congressional district, which Hart lost to Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) by six votes.

In Afghanistan, the large copper, metal, and minerals mines whose security American troops still ostensibly ensure are owned by Chinese companies. And because Afghanistan borders Xinjiang, Xi Jinping is worried that “after the United States pulls troops out of Afghanistan, terrorist organizations positioned on the frontiers of Afghanistan and Pakistan may quickly infiltrate into Central Asia.” In other words, American troops are deployed abroad in places like Afghanistan less to protect American interests than to provide security for China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
China had cultivated many friends in the American press, which is why the media relays Chinese government statistics with a straight face—for instance that China, four times the size of the United States, has suffered 1/100th the number of COVID-19 fatalities. But the key fact is this: In legitimizing CCP narratives, the media covers not primarily for China but for the American class that draws its power, wealth, and prestige from China. No, Beijing isn’t the bad guy here—it’s a responsible international stakeholder. In fact, we should follow China’s lead. And by March, with Trump’s initial acquiescence, American officials imposed the same repressive measures on Americans used by dictatorial powers throughout history to silence their own people.

It’s a Big Club, and You Ain’t in it
One of comedian George Carlin’s more notable quotes, pointing out a reality of American life is, “It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it.” His words are a simple commentary on the ruling class, the elites, the cabal, the establishment, or the deep state, whatever you prefer to call the Big Club.
Donald Trump is the first president since Ronald Reagan to point this out. Neither men were members of the Big Club.
The Big Club is bipartisan, although left leaning. Not every Democrat is a member of this club. Bernie Sanders and his supporters are certainly not. Bernie was robbed of the Democrat presidential nomination twice, likely due to the same electoral “irregularities” that gave the 2020 election to a senile grifter who hardly campaigned. Despite Bernie’s anti-capitalistic schtick, he appears to have happily sold out for money and a lake house, and is now relegated to meme status, sitting alone in a chair, bundled up with mask and mittens.
Many Republicans are in the Big Club, particularly those with ties to the Bush Family. Other prominent members are Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and Mitch McConnell. The NeverTrump coalition is also part of the Big Club. How ironic that when someone comes along and implements everything NeverTrumpers have been preaching, writing, or campaigning for their entire careers, they loathe him simply because he isn’t part of their Big Club. These are their ideas after all, but only ideas. Trump brought the ideas to life.
The Big Club affords members perks and privileges unavailable to non-club members. Particularly the “get out of jail free” card.
If you are in the club, you can spy on a presidential campaign and subsequent president, fabricating evidence, lying to FISA courts and the American people, suffering light, if any, consequences. You will be rewarded with teaching appointments at prestigious universities and your spouse may receive a nice promotion to an SEC directorship as compensation for her husband’s affair, as in the case of the Strzok Family.
As a Club member, if indicted for presenting fabricated evidence to the FISA court, you will receive a year of probation and some community service, as in Kevin Clinesmith. If you are not a club member and misremember an inconsequential date, you will be hounded to the ends of the earth by the DOJ and partisan judges, as was General Flynn. Or you might be held in solitary confinement for months like Paul Manafort.
If you are in the Big Club you can extort money and political favors from foreign governments for yourself, as the “big guy”, and your family with no consequence, like the Bidens. If not in the club, jokingly asking Russia to look for Hillary Clinton’s thousands of conveniently missing emails is grounds for impeachment.
Trump was our last hope at exposing and destroying the Big Club, but unless he has a few trump cards up his sleeve, the game is over, with the Big Club the winner. And we still ain’t in the Big Club.

MA Climate Czar Says the Quiet Part out Loud in Private Meeting: We Must ‘Break Your Will
In yet another stunning “quiet part out loud” moment, a New England government official revealed the left’s endgame in fighting the climate in an online meeting he assumed would remain private. Massachusetts Undersecretary for Climate Change David Ismay participated in a meeting with the Vermont Climate Council back in January, where he admitted that when it comes to the big climate “offenders” in their region, there are no bad guys left to break. Ismay went on to say that now the only ones left to “break” are the people.
If you are shocked that a public official would not only admit out loud that they happily broke the back of a job-producing industry in their state, but that they now need to break the back of the average American, you’re not alone. Ismay himself seemed surprised at the words coming out of his mouth, and in a stunning admission told attendees that he knew that was not something he could say out loud in public.
I can’t even say that publicly.
These people despise the existence of anyone outside their elitist bubbles. That’s all you need to know.

Only massive hypocrisy could let Pelosi steal a New York House seat
A Republican woman finally will be certified the winner in the last outstanding House race in the country, and the only way House Speaker Nancy Pelosi can stop her is to validate the same, discredited theory former President Donald Trump used to contest the presidential race.
How’s that for karma working against hypocrisy?
The election was in New York’s 22nd Congressional District, where Republican former Rep. Claudia Tenney was trying to regain her seat from Democratic incumbent Anthony Brindisi.
Still, Brindisi and his lawyer sound like they intend to put Pelosi on the spot. They say they intend to appeal to the next level of state courts in New York and also appeal to the House, which is the ultimate judge of its own membership, to throw out the result.
To do so, however, Pelosi would be reopening two of the biggest cans of worms — particularly slimy, large, and poisonous worms — in recent politics. Both come courtesy of Brindisi’s attorney. The first problem is his identity, and the second is his theory for why Tenney’s victory should be thrown out. The lawyer is Mark Elias, a longtime Democratic election-law specialist. Elias, though, was the Hillary Clinton campaign official who dabbled in dark arts when he hired the research firm Fusion GPS to produce what became the bogus “Steele dossier” that thoroughly corrupted part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Perhaps Elias’s long record in election law would allow that transgression to be overlooked, but when combined with his theory of the case in New York’s 22nd District, it’s all too outlandish. Specifically, the theory is — get this — that the voting machines erred in tabulating the votes.
What makes it worse is that the machines whose accuracy Elias is impugning were made by Dominion Voting Systems — the very same outfit that members of Trump’s legal team said was used to somehow steal the election for President Biden. And guess which lawyer led the Democrats’ fight in all contested states to combat Trump’s claim that the presidential race was stolen? Yep, none other than Elias.
So, if Pelosi wants the House to “investigate” and perhaps overrule the New York Democratic judge’s certification of the Republican House victory, she will be using the lawyer who helped create a fraudulent brief against Trump and who now is blaming the same voting systems the lawyer just spent months arguing were perfectly fine in the presidential race.
Under such circumstances, if Pelosi does anything that might unseat Tenney, the speaker would be acting not just hypocritically but corruptly.

Supreme Court to consider election lawsuits in February
The Supreme Court on Friday listed several high-profile election lawsuits for consideration at its mid-February conference.
The cases include challenges to the 2020 election from Trump-aligned lawyers Lin Wood and Sidney Powell, as well as Republican Rep. Mike Kelly’s Pennsylvania lawsuit. Nearly every lawsuit takes issue with the expanded use of mail-in ballots by many states.
The decision came after the court declined to fast-track all election-related litigation in early January.
In nearly every plea for expedition, lawyers backing former President Donald Trump told the court that if the cases were not heard before President Biden’s inauguration, their success would be unlikely.
But after the court pushed them off, many lawyers said that the challenges were still important and could have long-term implications for election fairness. Trump lawyer John Eastman told the Washington Examiner that even with Trump out of office, it was important to settle the issues raised by expanded mail-in voting.
“Our legal issue,” he said, referring to the way in which Pennsylvania conducted the 2020 election, “remains important and in need of the court’s review.”
Similarly, Kelly’s lawyer Greg Teufel, told the Washington Examiner after the court refused to hear his case before the inauguration that the 10-year congressman and major Trump ally had no intention of dropping the suit.
As election litigation continues to play out in the courts, many Republican state legislators have begun introducing bills to curb mail-in voting through law.
If the Supreme Court accepts any of the election lawsuits, it is likely that they won’t be heard until October.

Now this is exactly what those individuals who assert election fraud are attempting to do. They pose general questions such as “How likely is it that Joe Biden could have won so overwhelmingly when he couldn’t even rustle up more than a handful of people at his rallies?” or “What is the probability of so many voters voting exclusively for the president and no one else on the ballot?” Those familiar with the issue can offer manifold examples of their own.
It is most important, however, to emphasize that those individuals who ask these questions are engaging rationally with the logic of the context. And the questions surrounding probability (and improbability) are the essential indicators that something might be amiss. Situations that involve a staggering number of improbabilities demand investigation. It is the height of irresponsibility to ignore them and no one can claim any degree of intellectual integrity if they do. Ignoring the illogical and the improbable is tantamount to abdicating reason itself.

I have just watched Mike Lindell’s “Absolute Proof Documentary” on the Populist Press site. I am sorry I cannot give you a link but I cannot copy it. It runs 2 hours and is comprehensive. The electronic traffic between China and the US during the November 3/4 period is alarming. There are several thousand pages of hacking incidents and represent a huge number of votes taken from Trump. They arrive at a figure of 80 million votes for Trump and 68 million for Biden without machine interference. That does not take account of the fake votes for Biden. Trump did win big but it may be fortuitous that he “lost” because now the size of the fraud has been exposed. Eventually the truth will come out but it will not be via the MSM. Fox has now cancelled Lou Dobbs.
There were many “winners” in the election none of whom were ordinary Americans. The latter will be left to pick up the tab.

The survey found 28 percent of independents and 15 percent of Democrats said they’d likely join a third party led by Trump.

What that story and history should tell us is that the number of people who could be jailed or, at the very minimum, humiliated is relatively small but they are also ridiculously rich and therefore powerful. This is just an incredible exposé. Very well done and very professional. Very believable contributors at every stage in the story. However the coup-de-grace is the last 15 minutes or so when a very competent woman talks to 1000’s of lines of data that show exactly when, to what extent and who changed the votes from Biden to Trump. Not surprisingly the interventions, over the web, were mainly from China, but other countries were involved. It would seem, from this presentation that millions of votes were changed from Trump to Biden and the estimation is that Trump got 8.5 million to Biden’s 6.5 million, if the foreign actors had not interfered in the voting machines. And that is a separate issue to all the dead and out of state voters. A must watch, and Jo should do a separate article on this one, it is huge.

Yes exactly Lance. So some of us knew that they were setting up an election steal months in advance. I acknowledged what these people were warning (eg Sibel Edmonds) … But I thought that the bad guys would set up the election steal, see which way the wind was blowing, and then decide to not go through with it. I couldn’t see the motive for going through with the steal they were setting up, because the same networks already controlled both parties, the media and big business. Further the sus ballots were 90% for Biden. So Biden voters waited till after the close to put in their ballots, or Biden ballots were separated, held and collected then put in for counting as batch.
Some of that is not absolutely impossible, so how about checking the ballots? Shredded.

In over a century of Australian elections there has never been any kind of Bidenesque spike. Because they are statistically impossible, particularly when the country is divided broadly down the middle by the candidates leading to the rough equivalence of a coin toss. And there can never be a large spike of heads or tails in a coin toss unless the coin is rigged. Thats why for the last (your age minus one) decades, on election night, you never heard about spikes and we haven’t heard about spikes anytime in Australian election history. Every election all the experts, all the analysts, all the quant guys ….. they only talk about SWINGS. Only swings. Never spikes. Because spikes are impossible and do not happen unless the election is rigged. So if you see a Spike, even a Trump spike, there is cheating going on. Every time. No exceptions. I’ve always thought Guiliani was a loose cannon…and Trump a little too loyal to him…but in this case …apart from the excessive drinking…I think he was right about the courts..and was overcome with the futility of it all considering the magnitude of the forces mobilized against Trump.

Blacks, forced into positions beyond their capacity, facing whites they treat as hating them,
will find that the reservoir of good will has been replaced by a new form of social distance;
all profit from engagment has been lost. And, as high school kids left to their owns devices
will readily self-segregate in a cafeteria at lunch, we will live apart rather than try to make
the impossible fantasies of the woke seem real. Where they try will be San Francisco.
And we will form a country from the countryside because there is no need any longer for our 19th
and 20th century cities.

Some interesting perspectives from a man who was close to the centre of the action. Even with 20-20 hindsight though I don’t really see him or anybody else setting out a course of action which would have changed the outcome.
There were just too many incompetent or corrupt actors in key positions in the US election system. A good example is how nominally republican states delegated their power to choose electors to unelected bureaucrats and failed to retain the ability to take that power back even in the face of the plainest evidence of fraud by those bureaucrats.

I think an explanation which relies on so many dysfunctional individuals being on the scene by sheer serendipity is no explanation at all. When the US State department organises a colour revolution in the Ukraine, we don’t call it a series of inexplicable individual failures …. unless we are subject to the power of the local Ukrainian puppet press.
This was a colour revolution. So it was not unfortunate. It was orchestrated. It was not a bunch of unfortunately incompetent individuals. Any more than a dozen rifleman showed up in Dealey Plaza at one time, just because each individual was feeling kind of daffy, on that one day.

Its not about the Trump crowd markx. Its about whether the Americans ever get to have a proper election again. The American people ought to be able to elect their office-holders.

You have to assume that a President has detailed information not easily seen by the voting public.
Soon after the election, Trump might have concluded that an immediate, strong reaction to his alleged voting fraud would cause social disruption and the loss of many lives.
A responsible person might well have decided to pass on immediate bloodshed, but to wait for the mid-term election in 2 years. Meanwhile, there would be enough time to let the voter know that rigged elections were less likely in 2022.
Tump has an impressive history of being a step or two ahead of the popular thoughts. I’d be happy to back him to regain Senate control at least in 2022. Meanwhile, I’d be looking for signs that this tactic might be in use.
I don’t entirely buy the Time plot theory that big business got in bed with big union. In the past, when such a scenario was addressed here in Aus, nobody I knew from big business would have a bar of it.
Some CEOs who are well out of their depth might swing with the breeze from one side to another, but they are not impoertant, running Skippy flights and so on. You have to ask yourself what alleged Big Business stood to gain. Getting offside with a past President who could rise again would be considered.

No. In Australia big business is and always has been allied with big unions and big government, it helps to suppress competition and makes life easier. Higher wages are fine with them all, they and regulators just put up prices. Tariffs keep out competitors.
In the US recently big business has given hundreds of millions of dollars to burn-loot-murder. In Australia mining and energy companies give big money support to wasteful green projects, they do get some acclaim for it from big media but the main reason is the money goes to green opinion leaders.
I recall that about 2 years ago Joanne Nova was prevented from addressing an energy conference.
In Australia other areas of coordination (conspiracy) are indigenous employment schemes, which do not work, and superannuation, this gives big fees to a few top union officials, they seem to be legally immune from the sole benefit test.

America is nearing the last exit on the highway to Hell
The metastatic cancer of “cancel culture” that has taken root in the American sociopolitical environment features a couple of mechanisms all too common in communist regimes — purges and struggle sessions.
In the former Soviet Union, it was Stalin’s practice to purge anyone he saw as a threat to his position. It didn’t matter whether the person was a staunch communist or a true believer in the revolution. If he didn’t bend to Stalin’s will, he was removed. Many people just disappeared.
In America today, if you are not a Democrat or are an insufficiently progressive Democrat, you too can be a counterrevolutionary and an enemy of the state. If you do not see the similarity between the bloodlust Stalin had for Trotsky and the hate Democrats have for Donald Trump and anyone associated with him — with Trump-supporters demonized as “domestic terrorists,” “white supremacists,” and “insurrectionists” — you either do not know history or choose not to look.
“Struggle sessions” were China’s version of the “glorious people’s revolution.” Mao used to subdue and control a billion people spread across China’s vast landscape, most of which was rural and agrarian. They were a form of public humiliation and torture that forced the subject to admit various crimes before a crowd of people who would verbally and physically abuse the victim before, during, and after the confession. Struggle sessions, though, were not designed primarily to punish the guilty. They were used to shape public opinion, as well as to humiliate, persecute, or execute political rivals and those deemed class enemies. Struggle sessions were cancel culture on steroids.
These tactics exist in contemporary American culture. The cancel mob will persecute anyone who says the wrong word, writes the wrong paper or editorial, retweets the wrong tweet, holds the wrong opinions, or is determined to be a danger to progressive ideology or Democrats — and “wrong” is defined as anything progressive Democrats don’t like.
Time to open your eyes, my patriotic friends in the Democrat party. The blind, vitriolic hate of Donald J. Trump and the bloodthirsty lust for power of your party’s leadership has America on the highway to Hell. The last exit is approaching fast; let’s not miss it.

America’s Political Prisoners First
While official Washington fixates on the plight of an anti-Putin Russian political dissident, American supporters of Donald Trump are facing persecution and prosecution here at home.
The judge added that refusing to accept the outcome of the 2020 election is like “not believing facts or science.” (Faruqui, it’s worth noting, was appointed a federal magistrate last year after a 12-year career at the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s office, the same office overseeing every January 6 related case. This is the swamp in action.)
So, facing just one federal misdemeanor, Griffin will remain locked up for the foreseeable future.
He is, for all intents and purposes, a political prisoner. In fact, some FBI filings refer to unnamed protestors as “insurrectionists.” The seditious cake is baked.
“Only the Beginning”
Since all cases will be adjudicated in Washington, D.C., it’s a sure bet that defendants will be shown no mercy in the Trump-hating Beltway legal system also responsible for prosecuting Roger Stone and Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn—just a few of the Americans targeted by law enforcement solely based on their ties to Donald Trump.
Authorities admit that the Justice Department’s various sedition strike forces will leverage minor offenses in an attempt to manufacture bigger cases against Trump allies.
Political Discrimination
Both the so-called “zip-tie” agitator and his mother are being held without bail and will be transferred from their homes in Tennessee to Washington, D.C. for trial. Eric Munchel and Lisa Eisenhart face various charges including conspiracy and disorderly conduct; despite the media narrative, they did not bring the zip-tie constraints into the Capitol but rather found them in the building.
The Sedition Hammer
Prosecutors handling the case suggested Munchel and Eisenhart could be the first people charged with the “exceedingly rare” crime of sedition.
Judge Beryl Howell, an Obama appointee and chief judge of the D.C. district court, last week overruled a lower court decision that permitted Munchel to be released pending trial. (Howell was a fierce critic of the Trump Administration who also oversaw the Mueller probe’s grand jury. The swamp, again, in action.)
Putin Smiles
Those are just a few examples of how Trump supporters are being treated in this investigation; it stands in stark contrast to the way the same law enforcement authorities handled Black Lives Matter rioters in Washington, D.C. last year—prosecutors dropped nearly all charges against hundreds of rioters for more severe crimes including destruction of property and assaulting police officers. That sort of selective treatment played out in cities across the country, and still does.
One set of Americans, based on their political allegiance, not only escape punishment but are heralded as heroes of democracy. The other group is demonized as traitors, harassed by the news media, denied bail for minor offenses, and presumed guilty until proven innocent by partisan judges and prosecutors.
Meanwhile, the putative leaders of the Republican Party purposely ignore these injustices, far more worried about the fate of Alexei Navalny than their own countrymen. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke out this week in defense of Navalny after he was sentenced to prison by a Russian court. “Just the latest in Putin’s long campaign to subvert democracy and the rule of law,” McConnell tweeted February 2.
Apparently, the dangerously politicized rule of law here in the United States is of no concern to McConnell; scalp-hungry partisan prosecutors, working right under his nose and egged on by his colleagues, are poised to build virtually unheard of sedition cases against regular Americans.

None of this is very surprising really. The US seems to love fiefdoms, turf wars, creating artificial interfaces and then wondering why it all doesn’t really hang together that well. eg How many layers of armed policing do you really need? apparently apparently town, campus, city, state, fish and game, animal protection, and all the acronym agencies. This is repeated through all aspects of life.
I remember thinking back in the 90s when I was travelling a lot on business that I could get of the plane in Asia or Europe , turn on my phone and it would just work. In the US not so much as they just had to head off with another standard and had no plan at the time for national coverage. In New York they were trumpeting a new GSM network that covered “the entire Tri-State area!” mmmm, wow, meanwhile in Canada and most places they had national coast to coast systems running.
This is part of why things that already exist in other places like a reasonable minimum wage and reasonable accessible health care seem like an impossibility or socialist Armageddon to many Americans. IT BEGINS FROM WITHIN
In my understanding an association of persons – a community, a tribe, even a nation – does not remain stable without trust among its people. Most certainly when the people have no trust in and despise their leaders!
Exiled in America for many years, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, on his return to his native land, in his 1990 book “Rebuilding Russia” wisely counselled his own people that the path they needed to follow, if they wanted to find their own way back from the oppression and desolation of the years of Communist rule, begins from within.
It begins with a regeneration of their own spiritual energies and their relationships one with another.
“The strength or weakness of a society depends more on the level of its spiritual life than on its level of industrialisation. Neither a market economy nor even general abundance constitutes the crowning achievement of human life. The purity of social relations is a more fundamental value than the level of abundance.”
Solzhenitsyn went on to list the order of priorities for the Russian people for their ‘regeneration’. The regeneration begins from within, it is an ‘organic growth’. Natural growth and expansion begins from within and so does the regeneration of a nation’s soul.
“If a nation’s spiritual energies have been exhausted, it will not be saved from collapse by the most perfect government structure or by any industrial development: a tree with a rotten core cannot stand.
And that is why the destruction of our souls over three quarters of a century is the most terrifying thing of all.”
“Next comes the regeneration of families and communities and nations – again from within. What is clear is that the process should start at the local level with grass-roots issues… We must patiently and persistently expand the rights of local communities … ”
Sadly, it looks like the Russian people were betrayed by those who came after Solzhenitsyn – as were the American people.

I have seen various reports of Patrick Byrne’s net worth. All have him in positive territory but the range is from $100k to $90M.
However Byrne has apparently fancied bitcoin. In fact Overstock started trading with bitcoin in 2014. Back then bitcoin traded for about $500. It is reported that when he sold out of Overstock for $90M he put some of that into bitcoin. BTC has roughly doubled since he sold out of Overstock in 2019.
I figure there is no way of knowing how much he has invested in bitcoin. That is a double edged sword. It means he could indeed be a billionaire in old money terms but he has no one prepared to defend his claim to the bitcoin if it were stolen. I also figure there would be a few people on that job right now.

If Byrne has heavily invested in bitcoin…then he will be, eventually, dead and buried. Bitcoin has no future in this current economic environment, but may have one in the distant future (I’m talking about the 22nd Century, when cash and gold will not be important financially).
