Waking up one year too late

Suddenly there is pandemonium about the Lab Leak idea as the West wakes up a year too late. If only they’d been reading unfunded bloggers? It’s old news to readers here, but watch the pea. Why is it suddenly OK to mention now, after being banned on Facebook for months? Because timing is everything in politics.

Imagine how different it would have been in February last year if Western leaders knew then that it was possible the Wuhan flu had leaked from a lab? And talk of it being a bioweapon was all over twitter even in January last year. How fast would those borders have slammed shut, saving literally a million lives or three and so many businesses? Neighbours around China were already snapping doors closed in the first days of February. Remember all the nations that wouldn’t accept, the poor infected Diamond Princess?  Even if the West wasn’t sure, the possibility that it was a laboratory leak would have changed everything about the early response. Italy would hardly have run a “hug a Chinese (bioweapon)” campaign.

Politics explains so much. Sixteen months of silence served Biden’s backers well.  If Donald Trump could have closed those borders, as he tried to in early February, and protected US citizens from an artificial pandemic, he would have been an unstoppable force in 2020, even in a rigged arena. Look at the popularity of leaders who kept the virus out like Mark McGowan?

The secrecy also helped China. Think of the trauma in China by late February, with 80% of the economy shut down and funeral pyres that showed up on satellites. If those borders had closed in early February, the rest of the world would have had a near normal 2020.

Anthony Fauci is being offered as a sacrificial lamb

Not that Fauci is much of a lamb. It’s surely no accident that those FOIA emails were released now, when we all know they could have been delayed. Sundance at The Last Refuge argues that the current Fauci bonfire may be a diversion from an even more important topic that the Deep Bureaucrats don’t want people to discuss.

They don’t want people to say “Trump was right”. Nor do they want people to discuss how the Democrats took advantage of it, and were singularly partisan, and coldly manipulative in exploiting it.

And then there is the bioweapons word –if China was *very likely* researching bioweapons it’s a Weapons of Mass Destruction incident. Not only is it likely Chinese scientists were hunting for dangerous pathogens, they were building on beginnings made with US knowhow and money, and not being remotely helpful good citizens in return.

And if we blame Fauci for everything, others may escape attention — academia, science journals, experts,  public broadcasters, media and The World Health Organisation — they all worked to help the potential bioweapon spread.

Do they think we won’t notice the backflips?

The Babylon Bee strikes again.

Satire that cuts close to the bone:

“Did COVID escape from a Wuhan lab? Well, it depends! Did a Republican say it? Does it serve the official narrative of trusted sources like CNN? We have to keep all these important questions in mind as we continue to live our truth, which is what Snopes is all about.”

History will record that this round of lab leak news was started by Nicolas Wade in his excellent feature article a month ago. Even though there was much discussion in corners of the web last year, Wade showed how utterly corrupted science journals were in a way that any ordinary political junky could understand. One of the world top medical journals leapt suspiciously too fast to declare there was an overwhelming consensus that the virus was natural. Not only was the Lancet paper based on almost nothing at all, but it was written by a man in the US who ran a group that was funding the work in the Wuhan Institute itself.

Science papers are just a political tool these days. Note the name “Peter Daszak”.

The origin of COVID: Did people or nature open Pandora’s box at Wuhan?

Nicholas Wade, May 5th, 2020

“We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin,” a group of virologists and others wrote in the Lancet on February 19, 2020, when it was really far too soon for anyone to be sure what had happened. Scientists “overwhelmingly conclude that this coronavirus originated in wildlife,” they said, with a stirring rallying call for readers to stand with Chinese colleagues on the frontline of fighting the disease.

…It later turned out that the Lancet letter had been organized and drafted by Peter Daszak, president of the EcoHealth Alliance of New York. Daszak’s organization funded coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. If the SARS2 virus had indeed escaped from research he funded, Daszak would be potentially culpable. This acute conflict of interest was not declared to the Lancet’s readers. To the contrary, the letter concluded, “We declare no competing interests.”

That story has evolved now into late night cable TV, where Tucker Carlson points out that the Lancet paper was used to justify silencing anyone who mentioned the lab leak.

Sundance writes about the convenient timing:

Behind The SARS-CoV-2 Origination Backstory All Roads Lead to Stop Trump

Nothing happens in a vacuum and as we have noted within these pages for years if you follow the sequence and timeline you get a better picture of what is really going on.  Consider this sequence:

      • A once beloved Bill Gates, the primary advocate for COVID vaccines, suddenly became a target by the political left.  It was quite a shift.
      • The White House announces their support of investigation into the origin of COVID-19.
      • Media report on State Dept investigators who were handcuffed during their research into the COVID origination.
      • Suddenly discussion of the “Lab Leak Theory” was permitted by those who control the platforms of speech.
      • Media then report of Anthony Fauci gaining a lucrative book deal.
      • Joe Biden gives a speech in Oklahoma on Tuesday; and immediately thereafter the White House announces no more public appearances for the remainder of the week.
      • The Fauci emails are released under the auspices of a FOIA fulfillment.

The world still is not talking about Bioweapons of Mass Destruction.

And the efforts to shut down any positive results of re-purposed existing drugs for treatment (which is ongoing to this day).

    HCQ (HCQ with zinc)
    Ivermectin
    D3

We had peer-reviewed 1,000+ person trials of Ivermectin in Florida hospitals in late May 2020, with strongly positive results (P=.03 and P=.001 in two different trials).

The result was Ivermectin was banned form being prescribed for COVID until Nov 2020.

At least 250,000 unnecessary deaths in the US alone. With Fauci blithely saying they couldn’t get more than 20 volunteers for a summer double-blind test of Ivermectin, so they cancelled it.

Enough, I need to use the wastebasket.

The BIG question is not if Trump was treated with Ivermectin but why did only Republicans attending the first debate get Covid? Was this an assassination attempt? Such a possibility was aimed at his family and close supporters. There was no accepted treatment at this time.

Was this done by Democrats or the CCP? My vote is Democrats. The CCP has been used as a convenient scapegoat. I could be completely wrong. If so, its an act of war. Its time for Xi to make a clear statement about what he thinks happened.

Covid being the bioweapon it appears to be is irrelevant .

Covid is the new burning of the Reichstag.

So now they can “go after” China, but I think China has been trying to lure the West into attacking it so it can unleash a far nastier bioweapon AND Russia upon us.

The other risk is globalist-controlled govts across the world. Covid is pretty harmless. But – govts who appear to be happy to trash economies and destroy peoples freedoms are the real issue here.

Lets be blunt – the reaction to the bug has been way worse than anything the bug could do.Lets call it out.

It did however ( like 9 11 ) manufacture a mindset of fear and hatred of a specific group. This is just another globalist play to drive people by fear, into the meat mincer of the govt provided “therapy” that many play into the globalist population reduction agenda. Dont ignore this point.

You have to be able to think like a psychotic globalist to understand thier cold, ruthless blood lust. They also appear to consider mass death as an “offering” to thier Satanic “god”.

They appear to be a deranged group, more dangerous than you can conceive….

Covid being a bioweapon is Exactly the point. What long term illness, traps, problems etc is built into this package? What surprises are coming that we have never seen in a naturally produced virus? The virus appears to have several tricks to avoid the immune system already.

Long covid affects around 10% of the population. That’s 3 million people in the US. Forget mortality, look at hospitalization and the burden of long covid. Strategically, the military recognise that wounding a soldier can be more effective than killing him.

If you think it’s pretty harmless, please talk to an ICU doctor who treats patients. (or at least watch their videos). Covid can cause lung and heart damage even in asymptomatic cases.

I dont disagree it causes some damage, which is horrible. No argument there…..

But but but – we have to move past the “ground level” view most people stay at, and what the media pushes and what the globalists want.

The bigger issue is *why* its out there.

The bigger game is to use ( whatever bug it is ) to drive people to take up the “poisoned chalice” being offered as thier “saviour”. This event has been 50 years in the planning…..

I realise, respectfully, this might be hard for people to get thier heads around, and thats fine, but it is what it is…..

Steve, regardless of the why’s and motivations, science is what it is, data and observation. We can’t beat a political game if we don’t understand the science. Trying to solve this by using politics first without the hard work of learning the microbiology is a random luck strategy. It’s what the Globalists hope we will do.

Use your science lens before the ideological one.

I realise, respectfully, this might be hard for people to get their heads around. 😉

Please stop quoting the ridiculous “long covid affecting 10%” statistic. Its false and knowingly false. Firstly 86% who get covid are completely asymptomatic and don’t know they have it – so they are not long covid candidates. Only 1-2% get a severe case – these are the people who may die or may develop long covid. Maybe 10% of them may get long covid who knows, but the figures are very sketchy and we certainly don’t see 10% of the US population or the UK or anywhere else, or even 1% of said populations with long covid.

Long term viral symptoms do happen, my wife had it some years ago after the flu. But she recovered, as would a large proportion of the long covid cases, small numbers that they are. I am not denying that long covid does exist, just that its rare.

“Long covid” is being now used as an excuse to maintain wrong and hysterical lockdowns and restrictions. Instead of repeating these falsehoods we should be repeating the figures from Ivor Cummins using the official Irish mortality figures for the whole of the virus situation (its not a pandemic by the way) and for those under 70 it was 0.014% in Ireland (and I believe we would be similar), equivalent to those who die from poisoning each year. And for those under 50 it falls further, and if you don’t have comorbidities (ie the majority of the population) the risk is exceedingly small.

All deaths mean something, but we need to get a grip on reality, only vaccinate the vulnerable if they want to (this is new technology and may have bad long term impacts, so limit their use) and OPEN UP FULLY with Ivermectin and HCQ plus zinc available.

But what happened to the news that the covid research in China was funded by the US? Rather than pointing fingers only at China how about we take a step back and try to get to the bottom of all this somehow? This is where the UN ought to step in and order a full investigation. Of course that would be like placing the accomplice of an alleged murderer as judge.

          30

          • #

US funding indeed is an issue, though it was not large. The bigger mistake was the intellectual property of how to do this type of virology. Possibly, even worse, more culpable, and criminal — was the cover up after it started to spread.

Indeed, as you say, UN investigations are not worth it. Lets just shut the UN down, and allow independent investigators to get in there…

There are obviously some very deep matters surrounding Covid-19. The big one nobody wants to confront is that China actually weaponised the matter. When dealing with the CCP, one can’t forget that China in the past has killed its own in huge numbers. What is worse than anathema to us is not the standard approach of the CCP eg Mao – or Stalin. The fact it refused to confine travel for its people once it had seen the effect on its own people means at the very least World leaders cannot assume there to have been no desire for China to use it as a weapon. The problem for the World to come to that decision could result in a conflagration none are ready to meet. Every new weapon must be tested sometime, and China is aggressive to the world currently. China seems to have lost some of its best known researchers all of a sudden, according to the current Weekend Australian. China suddenly had a quick vaccine for use; how and why?

‘We can’t beat a political game if we don’t understand the science. Trying to solve this by using politics first …’. So far, for Climate Jo, it’s politicians 1, scientists 0. Even the Federal Court seems to see the political decisions as the facts if the recent case brought by adolescents is anything to go by. Politicians declared ‘The science is in’ and no scientist on the negative side of that declaration, regardless of data from work done, has been able to break that declaration. No politician with power is interested, even at the risk to the standards of our existence, or has the courage to go against the pack that pushes the fear campaigns.

The side effects of that decision can be death but even death will not sway the politician to look in-depth again. It threatens his/her job. Presuming those therapies against COVID-19 worked, it is apparent that, again, big death tolls around the world from the virus – and that 10% with ongoing big problems – fail to stir the politicians in charge of combatting it. They seem to have been totally sold on the outcome only being better if they got a vaccine. They are blinded to therapies, with a vengeance.Did the Pharmaceutical companies demand no therapeutics or the financials for development of vaccines, seen as essential, would be too high risk.

I wonder who funded Surgisphere for their fake study against HCQ and subsequent positive study on Ivermectin, which became tainted because of the fake study of HCQ.

“Waking up one year too late” ought to be replaced by “Waking up one year too late”. How it came about is much less consequential than dealing with it

Whether the origins be natural incidental accidental or deliberate, these types of things happen. Consequences need to be dealt with in a manner common to the spread and treatment of human pathogens

Please no politics with the covid topic. It deflects the discussion onto blame

      Seriously ??

I think your username is either spot on or you are another apologist for the liars.

The proven fact that “scientists” modify the genetic code of viruses seeking to make them more pathogenic and in response genetic engineer mRNA “vaccines” to combat their successes doesn’t worry you at all ?

Government paid officials, and other media personalities, who lie to us and manipulate gullibles into accepting their fantasy with a complete cover up by media rich billionaires doesn’t worry you at all ?

There is legitimate reason to believe there is blame here !

Watergate is renowned as a major political scandal but if even some of this is true Watergate was nothing of significance !

More than half a dozen countries are capable of doing such stuff. Mistakes have been made in the past too. I doubt that any of the countries capable of doing it would admit to such, nor that any good would come from holding them up to blame.

If it were the case, I assume such perpetrator country would be aware of the mess they created and strive to avoid it in the future.

As for being an appologist for deniers, I would point out that this topic is in the realm of legitimate real world conspiracies. Watergate is small potatoes by comparison. It didnt extend broadly to national security interests.

With these bigger national issues, there is futility of emphasizing and belaboring covert stuff. Just look how big the Snowden leaks were and how little impact it had for accountability.

The issue is more fundamental and has to do with the nature of lying.

The biggest problem for liars is that they have to have a very good memory because sooner or later they will be faced with the truth. The second biggest problem for liars is that each lie constantly needs to be reinforced with further lies to cover over the gaps in the first lie.

Once media, big business, politicians or government officials start lying everything gets political. It is a very slippery slope when people start using censorship to limit what others see and hear, and the power of the state to limit what they say or do.

The big thing which upsets readers of this blog is that scientific processes have been so deliberately corrupted to support the political agendas of those who gain from the corruption.

I realise that your purpose here is to disrupt. I can only suggest that you re-examine your motives.

The beast that ate our brains

Australia has more than 7000 Covid-19 beds but no patients. We have not protected our healthcare system so much as sidelined it.

      By CHRIS KENNY

      [SNIP]

Just over a year ago, when we shut down to prepare for the pandemic, our governments tripled the number of critical care beds nationally to more than 7000 to ensure we would not be overwhelmed. This week, with Victoria locked down, one of those beds was used for a couple of days.

At the time of writing there were 20 people infected with Covid-19 in hospitals across Australia. None was in critical care.

Not only was every one of those more than 7000 critical care beds available but many other hospital beds were empty too because elective surgery was put on hold in Victoria in response to the state’s modest outbreak. Even at the height of Victoria’s “second wave” outbreak last year, fewer than 50 ICU beds were used on any given day.

So, at the worst moment in this nation’s pandemic history, Victoria had 20 spare ICU beds for each one it used. Nationally we had an extra 150 beds on standby for every bed that was used. Right now, we are not using any.

Yet I am old enough to remember when our state and federal leaders were telling us we needed to “flatten the curve” to ensure our health system was not overwhelmed by coronavirus cases.

Fear kills empathy as the Covid lunacy goes unchecked

Pandemic shows that fear is the killer of empathy

        GEMMA TOGNINI

Queensland hospitals are for Queenslanders. I had thought this moment was the floor. The bottom of the dry well. It has been almost a year since Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the state’s hospitals were “for our people” and a woman pregnant with twins became tragically caught up in the politics of hard borders.

We all shook our heads. We all knew then and know now how unnecessary, how deeply wrong, how cowardly it was not to grant this woman an exemption and therefore access to the urgent medical care that everyone agreed at the time that she needed.

Just when you think we can’t fall any further, down we go again.

A Victorian family was refused an exemption to hold a proper funeral for their son. His name was Cooper Onyett and he was eight years old. Cooper drowned while on a school camp.

        Losing a child defines tragedy.

Chris Kenny nails it in The Australian: “When your only key performance indicator is reducing infections, I guess that is the outcome that will trump all others. Why would you jeopardise that outcome by considering other imperatives such as school outcomes, economic sustainability, social engagement and personal solvency?”
We now live in a dictatorship run by Chief Health Officers, who write new rules overnight, and then our Premiers intone: “We must follow orders.”

Guys, the growth curve for ICU beds is exponential if the virus gets away. look at the recent curve in Taiwan — and that wasn’t the Indian variant.

It’s fair to criticize some of the heartless decisions and hypocrisy, but if the virus ran rife we are only weeks from running out of ICU capacity.

Our political leaders are all terrified they will drop the ball and end up with a winter outbreak like Victoria did last year, with a horrid long lockdown, and the new variants would be so much harder to get rid of. The nightmare scenario is a long lockdown but second on that list must surely be when people who need ICU beds get turned away. That’s been happening in Japan in the last month.

And as it is (why???) the WA hospital system ED was struggling in May, and with no influenza and virtually no Covid?

If the virus clogs ICUs as you say, and the vaccines dont actually work ( so why are they being offered?) then are are stuffed either way?

lets face it – if you have to lock down whole populations to stop it, then your economy is dead.

But if you let it run, 2% of your population is dead.

              Which is worse?

                @ ORiginalSteve,

So ignore what the voters want. I thought we liked Democracy? Kill 1%. Give long covid to 10%. Increase welfare and disability burden and part of budget to deal with that. Get some kind of community immunity which may or may not last (latest results look more promising, but we didn’t know that last year and even now it’s still a punt.) Hope that the virus doesn’t mutate to get around that immunity (it probably will) and then two years from now, we can do it all again?

OR — shut borders and use ivermectin / HCQ, and watch the rest the world, and do the studies to understand what this disease is and does. Even one year from now we’ll have so much more information. The key question, and quickest way out: If people catch this with Vit D/C and ivermectin, can they get good immunity without most of the long term damage and loss? That’s what we need to know. Why aren’t we doing that study?

What will the mutants look like 1 year from now. They’ll be more transmissible, but might be nicer or nastier (especially dependent on the vaccine immune escape).

I repeat, the CCP knows more about this disease than any other, and they are making sure it doesn’t spread. There is a message in that. If killing 2% was the cheapest way out, why aren’t the Chinese doing that?

Jo. It’s one thing to have ICU beds. It’s entirely another matter if hospitals aren’t staffed enough to use them. It would appear government has decided to scrap as much elective surgery as possible . That would leave enough ward staff to manage ward patients, but it won’t solve the ICU problem because that requires staff trained to another level, whether doctors or nursing staff. So it seems in WA the fear of a breakout of covid is being allowed for, but ICU’s would still have a problem. This is the sort of mess one gets into when all non vaccine therapies appear to be outlawed. The government, via its epidemiological experts should be hammered on these decisions. Drug therapies for the same disease cannot perform in one part of the world and not elsewhere except for the appearance of resistant strains which haven’t been seen yet as far as we know. When this is all over people making these decisions where therapies are proven effective but denied usage must be called to explain the apparent acceptance of unnecessary deaths, and in large numbers. This must apply to our politicians also; State and Federal.

I might also add, the same demand must be made re forced policies, climate change and economic and fatal outcomes that could have been avoided if Politicians didn’t declare a science as being in and act to denigrate any scientifically based claims to the contrary.

Australia has more than 7000 Covid-19 beds but no patients. We have not protected our healthcare system so much as sidelined it.

The irony is that this defines a successful public heath system. It is successful because it is seen as being unecessary*

From your Ravings on where you live, your Hospital System must be pretty crook.

Our Hospital System in NSW and OZ is excellent, and necessary for every day function – I have been having Cancer Treatment every 3 weeks since 2019, Bloods Monday, Cancer Treatment Tuesday since 2019, and have not missed a session during Covid – the only difference is sometimes wearing Masks Mandatory and currently, last Tuesday, no masks in Cancer Centre – and I have had 4 Elective Surgeries since last October 2020 – Hospital System working as normal.

well health is state funded, so can vary a hell of a lot from one state to another.

in QLD we have an ambulance ramping crisis. they literally sit waiting at hospitals for beds to free up while people are dying. our local media has finally started to take notice of this, and good on them. it is amazing how long this has been going on before some form of push for action. i mean it is common for labor to get a free pass by the media, but it has been way too long.

            https://www.9news.com.au/national/queensland-ambulance-ramping-reveals-hours-of-delays-resulting-in-queensland-deaths/4bbe6764-c478-4468-9eaa-9c2390a8b5ec

some quotes from that – “On April 24 in Toowong, an 18-year-old woman died an hour after calling triple zero due to a brain bleed, despite being classified as a code one case. ”

“Another, on May 5 at 9pm, saw a woman call an ambulance for her husband but didn’t see a crew arrive for more than eight hours – until 5:30am the following day. He died from cardiac arrest after failed CPR attempts.”

the answer for our government is 65 new beds… wow enduring this pause in development in QLD is becoming harder and harder, i mean not even the surplus created by coal royalties is enough to cover the ineptitude of this government.

Complaining about empty hospital beds is crazy. It appears some would prefer them to be full of sick and dying people. After all we can’t have unused ventilators lying around can we.

    Jo,
My understanding is the Chinese economy was back in operation in March, no doubt making PPE. Do you have any evidence these fires were COVID related and not a purge of people who did not score high enough on their Social Credit system?

Think of the trauma in China by late February, with 80% of the economy shut down and funeral pyres that showed up on satellites.

I have seen images of these falls being staged, Warroom Pandemic leads with one of those and I remember images of perfectly healthy young women in pink track suits being dragged off in vans fighting all the way.

    fake bodies

    and,
    fake lock down

I doubt the CCP would release a bio weapon they could not control into their own country. They do not need to. They are continuing the very successful strategy of destroying and confusing their competitors with our own cash to fund their useful idiots and memebots.

Remember this like Anthropogenic Global Warming is a war of control of narrative and image not facts.

Here is the evidence of one such country destroying itself. 210 deaths so far if you use the same standard of reporting used for the Covid declarations.

    50

    • #

Why wouldn’t the CCP be happy to let a virus run for a bit that kills predominantly older people? The CCP doesn’t care about its own citizens, and a virus like that helps solve the demographic problem. It’s a feature, not a bug for a totalitarian dictatorship. As long as it doesn’t ruin the leaders own cities, which it didn’t because they knew how to use borders and lockdowns to control it (brutally in some cases).

And it’s not surprising that a few towers of locked in residents would think the outbreak was faked. If no one was sick in their tower, that’s a fair conclusion from people who know their government lies. But it doesn’t negate the thousands of other reports and videos showing what a shocking toll the virus had.

Naturally, the CCP would have used the virus to rid itself of political opponents in Wuhan, but the effect of Covid on hospital systems and crematoriums was the same in Iran, Italy, the UK, Brazil, Russia, India, Peru, etc etc etc etc etc. Why would China be different? Occams razor suggests the mass funeral pyres, documented by both satellites and by many individuals in China were mostly Covid victims. What proportion were political deaths? Who knows?

The evidence offered for “fake bodies” is an early article asking if the videos are real? We later learnt that mass blood clotting causes heart attacks and strokes. There is no evidence in that article that the videos were fake or that the pandemic effects in China were lower than reported (rather than higher, which there is a lot of evidence for). Be careful of the headlines.

As for the TGA, there is so much worthy criticism I could add, but that link is not about those issues. 6 out of 1000 people report side effects is not a “country destroying itself”. There are reason to be concerned about mass vaccination (eg see my post on Mareks disease) but that page has no data on long term effects for obvious reasons.

A speech I saw allegedly from a retiring PLA general, and if true, basically said they were happy to lose 800 million people to win a nuclear war against the West.

As such, unless the West could surgically remove the CCP command from power militarily, it’s basically faced with doing whatever it takes to destroy the CCP, which would be horrific, unless you could get the chinese people themselves to arrest all party members and deal with them…

I wrote something similar for another blog.

FIRST: Covid 19 attacks the elderly and spares the young.

SECOND: In middle age it takes out those with co-morbidities.

THIRD: D3, C, Selenium, Zinc, and an Ionophore like GREEN TEA or HCQ to move the zinc into cells, protects against covid.

So there was ZERO real risk for the CCP party and the upside of removing ‘Useless Eaters’ that the one child policy made dificult to take care of.

The REAL TELL is the actions of FRANCE:
France Banned Over the Counter Chloroquine Days Before First Western Scientific Report on Pandemic

October 2019, as global protests were raging across the world, an agency no one had heard of made an astonishing decision.

“Painkiller tablets such as aspirin, paracetamol and ibuprofen will be placed behind pharmacy counters and no longer be freely available on shelves in France from January 15 2020, it has been confirmed…

The measure comes after medical health agency Agence Nationale de Sécurité du Médicament (ANSM) recommended it in October this year, and after consultations with pharmacies and patient focus groups.”…

        YEAH, OCTOBER 2019!

Dr. Didier Raoult was told to cease using HCQ on patients by French authorities (can’t find the reference)

…Originally used to cure malaria, HCQ gained attention as a COVID-19 treatment after French physician Dr. Didier Raoult used it in combination with azithromycin to treat his patients. Raoult’s success spread like wildfire, eventually catching the attention of Gilead. The company subsequently lobbied France to severely restrict access to HCQ. [I will add BY physicians since it had already been removed from OTC status.-GC]

Moreover, Raoult himself received anonymous death threats – prompting him to testify against Gilead in front of French lawmakers. A subsequent investigation revealed that a medical doctor handsomely paid by the pharmaceutical firm sent the threats.

But the real icing on the cake for us Americans:

Fauci knew about HCQ in 2005

The Virology Journal – the official publication of Dr. Fauci’s National Institutes of Health – published what is now a blockbuster article on August 22, 2005, under the heading – get ready for this – “Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread.” (Emphasis mine throughout.) Write the researchers, “We report…that chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage.”

But the real icing on the cake for us Americans:

Fauci knew about HCQ in 2005

Fauci’s wife needs an investigation, too

Now that Dr. Anthony Fauci is feeling the heat for funding gain-of-function research at Wuhan Institute of Virology and covering it up, it’s time to scrutinize his wife. Christine Grady, MSN, Ph.D., is Fauci’s colleague at the National Institute of Health, where she serves as chief of bioethics and head of human subjects research at the NIH Clinical Center. According to the Center’s website, Grady’s contributions are “primarily in the ethics of clinical research, including informed consent, vulnerability, study design, recruitment, and international research ethics, as well as ethical issues faced by nurses and other health care providers.”

In a gushing portrait, Vogue portrayed Fauci and Grady as “a medical power couple leading the fight against the virus.” But taxpayers might not be so effusive about Mr. and Mrs. Fauci’s “international research ethics,” and “study design,” now that America’s economy and liberties have been destroyed by the Chinese virus they funded.

Why was Grady ever placed in a position at the NIH, where she was the final arbiter of the ethics of her husband’s experiments? If Fauci wanted to study gain-of-function research on lethal viruses, did he just need to roll over in bed and say, “Honey, is this OK?” to obtain “ethical” permission?

And has anybody ever given Americans an accounting of the money that the Faucis were incentivized to make from their decisions? In 2005, a British medical journal reported that Fauci and other NIH researchers were receiving royalties on their pharmaceutical discoveries for AIDS/HIV

If it was true, would it have made any difference to the response of countries like the USA or Great Britain, or India, or Brazil?

Anthony Fauci and the Wuhan lab: an inquiry into Covid origins could save lives in future

      WSJ Editorial Board

Anthony Fauci’s email correspondence from the early days of the pandemic have ignited a spate of recriminations over masks and the doctor’s celebrity. But what really matters is that some of the emails raise more questions about the origin of COVID-19.

As director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr Fauci cast doubt on the theory that COVID-19 came from a laboratory like the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

After ruling it out several times, he publicly said last month it is possible, as the hypothesis was getting a second look in media and academia. The emails, released after media freedom-of-information requests, show that Dr Fauci followed debates about COVID-19’s origin from the beginning.

In early 2020, the immunologist Kristian G. Andersen wrote to him that the virus had some “unusual features” hinting at manipulation in a lab setting. Mr Andersen later published a paper rejecting the lab-leak theory for lack of evidence. And Dr Fauci began sharing articles arguing in favour of a natural origin while giving advice to scientists writing about the issue. But conclusive proof of a zoonotic origin hasn’t emerged, and it’s reasonable to ask why Dr Fauci was slow to accept the possibility of a lab leak.

Of particular interest: From 2014-19, the National Institutes of Health sent $US3.4 million (currently $4.4m) to the WIV through the non-profit EcoHealth Alliance.

        Abstract
The discovery of SARS-like coronavirus in bats suggests that bats could be the natural reservoir of SARS-CoV. However, previous studies indicated the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) protein, a known SARS-CoV receptor, from a horseshoe bat was unable to act as a functional receptor for SARS-CoV. Here, we extended our previous study to ACE2 molecules from seven additional bat species and tested their interactions with human SARS-CoV spike protein using both HIV-based pseudotype and live SARS-CoV infection assays. The results show that ACE2s of Myotis daubentoni and Rhinolophus sinicus support viral entry mediated by the SARS-CoV S protein, albeit with different efficiency in comparison to that of the human ACE2. Further, the alteration of several key residues either decreased or enhanced bat ACE2 receptor efficiency, as predicted from a structural modeling study of the different bat ACE2 molecules….

….although the genetically related SARS-like coronavirus (SL-CoV) has been identified in horseshoe bats of the genus Rhinolophus [5, 8, 12, 18], its spike protein was not able to use the human ACE2 (hACE2) protein as a receptor [13]. Close examination of the crystal structure of human SARS-CoV RBD complexed with hACE2 suggests that truncations in the receptor-binding motif (RBM) region of SL-CoV spike protein abolish its hACE2-binding ability [7, 10], and hence the SL-CoV found recently in horseshoe bats is unlikely to be the direct ancestor of human SARS-CoV.

Also, it has been shown that the human SARS-CoV spike protein and its closely related civet SARS-CoV spike protein were not able to use a horseshoe bat (R. pearsoni) ACE2 as a receptor [13], highlighting a critical missing link in the bat-to-civet/human transmission chain of SARS-CoV….. [So was SARS also bio-engineered and then released from a Chinese lab?- G.C.]

…we have extended our studies to include ACE2 molecules from different bat species and examined their interaction with the human SARS-CoV spike protein. Our results show that there is great genetic diversity among bat ACE2 molecules, especially at the key residues known to be important for interacting with the viral spike protein, and that ACE2s of Myotis daubentoni and Rhinolophus sinicus from Hubei province can support viral entry….

Then here in my home state of North Carolina

“A SARS-like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence.”

It was Electronically Published on November 8, 2015

And LOOK who funded it! The National Institutes of Health under Fauci AND the State Key Program for Basic Research Grants from the Chinese Ministry of Science. Fauci not only funded the initial research but indicated interest in funding further research.

        Abstract
The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS)-CoV underscores the threat of cross-species transmission events leading to outbreaks in humans. Here we examine the disease potential of a SARS-like virus, SHC014-CoV, which is currently circulating in Chinese horseshoe bat populations. Using the SARS-CoV reverse genetics system, we generated and characterized a chimeric virus expressing the spike of bat coronavirus SHC014 in a mouse-adapted SARS-CoV backbone. The results indicate that group 2b viruses encoding the SHC014 spike in a wild-type backbone can efficiently use multiple orthologs of the SARS receptor human angiotensin converting enzyme II (ACE2), replicate efficiently in primary human airway cells and achieve in vitro titers equivalent to epidemic strains of SARS-CoV.

Additionally, in vivo experiments demonstrate replication of the chimeric virus in mouse lung with notable pathogenesis. Evaluation of available SARS-based immune-therapeutic and prophylactic modalities revealed poor efficacy; both monoclonal antibody and vaccine approaches failed to neutralize and protect from infection with CoVs using the novel spike protein. On the basis of these findings, we synthetically re-derived an infectious full-length SHC014 recombinant virus and demonstrate robust viral replication both in vitro and in vivo. Our work suggests a potential risk of SARS-CoV re-emergence from viruses currently circulating in bat populations.

        Key word ‘generated’

        GENERATED:
to bring into existence; cause to be; produce.
to create by a vital or natural process
to produce by a chemical process.
        https://www.dictionary.com/browse/generated

        key word is ‘chimeric’

        CHIMERIC:
composed of material (such as DNA or polypeptide) from more than one organism a chimeric gene … scientists have created so-called chimeric antibodies, using genetic engineering to fuse variable regions derived from mouse antibodies with a constant region derived from human antibodies.
        https://www.merriam-webster.com/medical/chimeric

So the UNC level THREE Lab did produce a gain of function SARS like virus.

        Interesting point Raving.

I have also thought about that. Presumably the spike protein cannot replicate in the body because it is not a whole virus (no RNA). However it is an antigen and could prompt an immune response in a recipient. Possibly in that way it could be protective to an exposed person.

                From the CDC:

mRNA vaccines are a new type of vaccine to protect against infectious diseases. To trigger an immune response, many vaccines put a weakened or inactivated germ into our bodies.

Not mRNA vaccines. Instead, they teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies. That immune response, which produces antibodies, is what protects us from getting infected if the real virus enters our bodies.

COVID-19 mRNA vaccines give instructions for our cells to make a harmless piece of what is called the “spike protein.” The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19.

First, COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are given in the upper arm muscle. Once the instructions (mRNA) are inside the immune cells, the cells use them to make the protein piece. After the protein piece is made, the cell breaks down the instructions and gets rid of them.

Next, the cell displays the protein piece on its surface. Our immune systems recognize that the protein doesn’t belong there and begin building an immune response and making antibodies, like what happens in natural infection against COVID-19.

At the end of the process, our bodies have learned how to protect against future infection. The benefit of mRNA vaccines, like all vaccines, is those vaccinated gain this protection without ever having to risk the serious consequences of getting sick with COVID-19….
                https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/mrna.html

Except we are now finding those spike proteins CAUSE DISEASE, cross the blood-brain barrier and head for the ovaries in women.

The question is, are these shed spike proteins the same as the mRNA that cause human cells to replicate them?

At this point I do not know and I do not trust government paid scientists to tell us the truth.

BUT the possibility is certainly out their.

Johns Hopkins on self-spreading, self-propagating, transmissible vaccines

In 2018, The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Center for Health Security, published Technologies to Address Global Catastrophic Biological Risks.

Among the technologies discussed in the paper, are “Self-Spreading Vaccines.” Vaccines that only need be given to a portion of the population, and are then become communicable between individuals, like a virus.

The number of questions, concerns, and issues that become relevant with the revelation that this technology exists, and is being used on animals, is more vast than I can enumerate here. So I will simply share with you Page 47 of the document.

                “WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY?

Self-spreading vaccines—also known as transmissible or self-propagating vaccines—are genetically engineered to move through populations in the same way as communicable diseases, but rather than causing disease, they confer protection. The vision is that a small number of individuals in the target population could be vaccinated, and the vaccine strain would then circulate in the population much like a pathogenic virus. These vaccines could dramatically increase vaccine coverage in human or animal populations without requiring each individual to be inoculated. This technology is currently aimed primarily at animal populations. Because most infectious diseases are zoonotic, controlling disease in animal populations would also reduce the risk to humans….

Gail, the shed spike proteins are the products of mRNA synthesis and not the same if I understand your question.

I have not found a good explanation of the lifetime of this mRNA synthesis process. The hope it that this replication machinery will degrade rather quickly. Muscle cells themselves are long lived (years) compared to others, e.g. skin, colon.

Which is the same way that asymptomatic people can also spread COVID relatively harmlessly to produce natural herd immunity. A natural herd immunity was always thought a better prospect. But that like a lot of basic scientific principles appears to have been cancelled.

          80

          • #

Ross, sorry, asymptomatic infection is not necessarily harmless with heart and lung damage recorded, and “herd immunity” is an idea the Big Pharma people push to argue for vaccine use.

I don’t see Herd immunity helping with a cluster spreading disease in any case. When one superspreader can infect 5000 people (Eg Korea). Uninfected people won’t be protected by those around them in a crowded room with a superspreader.

        Probably not.

According to Dr Sam Bailey, the Drosten PCR test is designed to amplify a small section of RNA (which is less than 1% of the whole Covid genome) and then test for that RNA sequence.

Spike protein is not RNA so it would not be amplified, nor tested for.

On the other hand, the vaccine contains a modified virus which has some Covid RNA. Therefore someone who has been vaccinated might test positive of the RNA in the vaccine matches the Drosten PCR fragment.

          50

          • #

Indeed, a protein won’t test positive in a PCR test. But it might be harder to detect a true covid infection in a person soon after being vaccinated. Perhaps they are looking for different markers? I would hope so. But it’s also possible that people with minor symptoms assume it is the vax, and don’t go and get tested. That might be a real issue in “crisis vaccination” where people rush to get the vax as the same time as the virus spreads. The issue there is that people could be shedding real virus but won’t be recognised as a problem and isolated.

I’m not sure though whether the testing is done on different (non vax) sequences. It may be no problem in that regard. But people who have just had the vac may be less likely to get tested for covid.

              Neither am I.

However Dr Sam Bailey says that the PCR testing World Wide is based on the WHO approved test devised by Dr Drosten, ie Drosten PCR. Drosten’s PHD credentials are a bit murky and he has a commercial interest in the test. The test is just for a short segment of RNA, which is probably part of the Covid virus RNA.

NOt correct. There are many independently derived PCR tests. The one you speak of is not used and is not in any way revolutionary. It is based on old reliable methods and all the other test kit makers followed the same path but did not need to refer to the Drosten test.

In fact the spike protein IS encoded by the RNA genome of the covid virus. All proteins are encoded directly by our genomes.

If covid was natural, There would be piles and piles of physical evidence of humans getting sick with covid like viruses.

To gain ‘knowledge’ of the general human immune system the only possible means for a physical virus ….. The physical virus must first infect people with a covid like virus for decades before covid (the WMD) could have possibly gained(biologically evolved from repeat infections, that is the only way a physical virus can learn how to be super infectious for humans) the ability to be the most transmittable virus ever known, in addition to covid being a sneaky deadly virus, with multiple ‘novel’ features each of which we also have not seen in the population.

So covid is sort of the mother of all bad viruses. An impossibly infectious viruses and a virus that knows how to cause biologically complex damage to human organs. Including the ability to cross the blood brain barrier which a ‘feature’ the hock molecules have. Great what science can design.

The point is not only how deadly covid was and is. Covid had the evolved biological knowledge as how to defeat the human immune system,… …… when covid infected patient zero, 1, 2, 3…. And so on in China.

And logically …. Logically we absolutely know because covid was so super infectious, covid could not have been hiding in the general human population in a less/less deadly contagious version.

Covid obviously, based strictly on the definition of the word is a WMD. A ‘weapon’ of mass destruction.

Covid originated in China. It is a fact, that China and the WHO did everything possible to hinder our response to covid.

There is zero physical evidence to support the possibility… support the possibility that covid could have been ‘born’ in China day 1…. with the ability to be super transmittable and to be sneaky deadly…. All of the bad stuff and the ability to defeat the average human immune system without leaving decades of physical evidence of infection in a human population.

    https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/physician-scientist-steven-quay-provides-open-letter-response-to-who-report-five-undisputed-facts-support-the-laboratory-origin-of-the-covid-virus-301258582.html

The purpose of the Open Letter is to help readers of the WHO report understand the five facts that scientists agree on and which support the conclusion that an accidental laboratory-acquired infection (William: That covid was manmade. There is no evidence that covid has accidently released) was likely responsible for the COVID pandemic.

    The five undisputed facts are:

    • COVID-19 wasn’t smoldering in the community before the epidemic broke out, as was observed with previous coronavirus epidemics.
    • Despite an intense search, neither the COVID virus, nor any close relative, has yet been found in nature, unlike prior natural zoonoses. The closest viral relative is from the laboratories of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, near the epicenter of the first cases.
    • The COVID virus had little genetic diversity at the outset, unlike prior natural zoonoses. It was genetically pure, like the man-made vaccines being rolled out.
    • The COVID virus’s powerful infectious trigger isn’t found anywhere in its related viral group in nature but has been repeatedly inserted into viruses by laboratory scientists, including at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
    • The virus was highly adapted for infection of people from the start, unlike prior natural zoonoses. Growing viruses in humanized mice is a common technique to hone their lethal abilities.

“…….COVID-19 wasn’t smoldering in the community before the epidemic broke out”. WA, there were some correspondents to this blog from the US who experienced a more aggressive type of flu late 2019. I believe they may have been from the New York area. So maybe it was already smouldering away in a couple of locations. Perhaps also Milan.

Indeed there was a shocker of a report from a sick British guy in Wuhan in Nov 2019. and it appears, given the cluster spread, that covid entered the West several times in small outbreaks which died out before a superspreader really established it.

But those incidents are not really what an evolutionary biologist is looking for. What we ought to have seen are smaller outbreaks bubbling along for years or months — of variants which were like Covid but less spreadable. Some example of it spreading from a farm animal say a few times before the mutant really hit.

We see that pattern in avian influenza.

There was a TIME report published March 10 2020 that identified that before the first official covid case in Italy “…there was an unusually high number of pneumonia cases recorded at a hospital in Codogno in northern Italy,”.
Since covid had not been identified at this stage the cases were deemed and treated as flu.

And for those not yet tired from all the reading here is a final contribution on the Italian death rates “due” to flu – given that Italy was so hard hit when covid was finally recognised.
Italy is home to a very large Chinese population working in Chinese owned factories established there so that the end product can legitimately carry the “Made in Italy” label. A large proportion of these workers do a FIFO home for Chinese New Year every year which in February 2020 corresponded to when Italy started to get hit.

Waking up? Only very slightly. Most people are still asleep but that will change once they start feeling the pain and realise they have been treated for fools for a very long time on a variety of issues, not just the virus. Of course the powers already know that so no doubt they are already getting ready for the next phase in their attempt to quench their thirst for more and more power of us until ultimately they are masters of the world and we are complete slaves. One very likely evil act would be an engineered and sizeable stock market crash in the not too distant future that would make the previous ones look like small bumps in the road. It would be their excuse to implement such draconian economic and financial constraints on our way of life that would be the envy of any previous evil dictator. So, by all means let’s try to get to the bottom of the virus scare but please remember it’s just one small component of an overall agenda to instigate a NWO. It’s going to get pretty busy here, assuming we don’t lose our current freedoms to express our opinions over the internet. We all know how Twitter and other social media sites are banning people for daring to expose the truth. I can only see it getting worse as governments see the value to them of taking complete control of the internet. Bill Gates tried it a long time ago but failed. I bet he wished he tried harder. Perhaps he is.

What is missing here is information on how often viruses jump species and either don’t do well or do a bit but not well enough to become a recognised problem. Some think it might be quite common and therefore not surprising that eventually a virus jumps and is an issue.

    Points to consider…

    1. All those early videos coming out of China with people randomly ‘dropping dead’ of Covid in the streets.
    2. China’s decision to close internal borders to Wuhan, whilst allowing air travel to all ports foreign from Wuhan.
    3 Between April 17th, 2020 and May 30th 2021 – China has reported just 210 deaths (for a total of 4846).

I came across Chinese propaganda outing US secret bioweapons research, and did some cursory research (wikipedia).

Interesting that the research started after WWII but greatly increased under JFK and then was stopped in Nixon’s first year as POTUS. Whether it really stopped is hard to tell with the US. Defensive research definitely continued.

What was really eye opening was the anthrax letters of 2001. Eventually, a researcher from Fort Derrrick was identified by the FBI as the main suspect. The evidence is extremely dodgy but he suicided before being arrested.

“Those who argue for Ivins’ innocence claim that the anthrax used in the attacks was too sophisticated to be produced by a lone researcher without relevant training. “In my opinion, there are maybe four or five people in the whole country who might be able to make this stuff, and I’m one of them,” said Richard O. Spertzel, former deputy commander of USAMRIID.[57] “And even with a good lab and staff to help run it, it might take me a year to come up with a product as good.”[

Why I found this interesting is

FBI Director Robert Mueller changed leadership of the investigation in late 2006, and at that time Ivins became the main focus of the investigation.

Just as I had given up, conceded defeat, allowed that the CO2 scammers were now in full control. Better pick myself up for another year.

My evidence is, correct me if I am wrong:
      1. Any chart showing the CO2 level and anybody’s temperature record. The CO2 is regular, the fluctuations in temp are far greater than any known CO2 influence. Some bigger, unidentified factor is at play.
      2. Ken Stewart’s expose on the BOM’s original temperature homogenisation. This told me that the BOM wasn’t competent to do that work, and hadn’t even checked their work to discover the absurdity,
      3. Climate computer models are reverse engineered on a best fit basis. Precision doesn’t get a look in, and repeatability requires mostly luck.
      4. John Cook’s 97% paper. How did anybody ever take it seriously? If 97% is the answer, what was the question?
      5. Sydney’s tide gauge records at NOAA Fort Denison. Never let them forget that this is the measure of their catastrophe.

The end of the human race is in prospect.
We know that the COVID jab is not a vaccine but an untested drug whose side effects may be far worse than the Thalidomide disaster. Those of us still alive in a few years time will likely be wiped out by the next big freeze. The windmills will freeze up, the solar panels will be covered in ice and snow so there will be no electricity and the remaining population will die of cold and starvation.

While I think this is a reasonable post (Thank you, Jo), I have two comments:
One is that I think the story is still unfolding; and
two, about this “If those borders had closed in early February,”
February was too late probably. People were ill (and dying) near Seattle [Life Care Center of Kirkland}. Staff noticed a respiratory outbreak by Feb. 10, and likely it was there before anyone became seriously suspicious. Why? Because the facility averaged 5 to 7 deaths over a 4 week period. The rate had to spike before they knew something was wrong.

John, in the West, the tiny outbreaks in February would have been easily dealt with within weeks if the West closed the borders, and isolated cases. Victoria got rid of a 700 cases a day infection in winter within 3 months last year. No nation in the West had that kind of outbreak in early Feb. So containment would have been shorter. Aiming for Herd Immunity was always a stupid plan with a likely bioweapon and in a class of viruses that humans don’t neccessarily get long immunity too and had no successful vaccines too.

It seems shocking to close US borders, but given the billions of dollars and lives lost since, it is clear in hindsight that California/Washington state/ New york could have been isolated and locked down and that would have stopped the virus in the rest of the US (as long as the US was not continually importing cases in every airport, which they were and still are).

By late Feb Iran was doomed and needed immediate isolation. Italy was already destined for lockdown then, but stupidly the rest of Europe invited infections from Italy to spread and infect their own nations. The EU was a failure.

Yet, by the end of Jan 2020 anyone watching twitter with a degree in microbiology (me) knew that this disease was probably airborne and highly contagious. I had no spies in China, nor medical advisors. Chinese docs were wearing goggles and hazmat suits. They looked terrified and the skin on their faces was peeling from the PPE tape. They didn’t need to issue a press release. I pointed out the stupid WHO advice on borders on about Feb 2, and their conflict of interest around then too. I called for flights to stop from Feb 9th.

If nations like the US and UK had done that not only would they have avoided horrid lockdowns, we all could have been flying freely without quarantine most of the time in a bubble of UK – USA – Aust – NZ — Taiwan – South Pacific. And if that bubble started, every other nation would have wanted to eliminate the virus to join the bubble. That was what I was hoping for in Feb last year.

With pandemics short sharp initial pain prevents long bad ongoing pain. There is no level above zero where an economy functions better “with covid” than without it.

            Jo,
While I agree in principle with closing borders, and Washington State could have closed the passes from the West side to the East side. There are only 6 highways. Each place would have had to have screening so that food, gas, and supplies could reach Eastern WA, Northern ID, and on east into Montana. Otherwise, the huge area would have been out of everything in about 5 days. February in this large region is often seriously below freezing.
On the “isolation” of cases, I agree entirely. Everything in the area around that Kirkland facility, hospitals, EMTs, and the like could have been handled as an isolation ward with Zero tolerance. But the governor and his aides had been focused on his presidential bid on the one-legged platform of climate change, and their liberal/progressive “woke” agenda. Even with Bill Gates, a near-Seattle resident, telling anyone that would listen that a contagious something was coming – they remained oblivious.

Ignoring all of the legal ports of entry and international airports, it still would not be possible to adequately seal the borders of the U.S., especially given its generally open Southern border. Just an example, even with efforts on both sides, in Cuba and the U.S. to curtail Cuban immigration, it still happens.

And until Trump came along, there was no serious effort to control illegal immigration from Mexico.

I want to thank the ABC for helping me have far too much fun with their report:

On Friday, Victorian health authorities revealed the suspected index cases in a cluster of seven people were infected with the Delta variant, which was first detected in India and is believed to be more severe than previous strains.

On Monday, residents from the Flemington and North Melbourne housing towers used a WhatsApp group chat with housing authorities to request an increase to the frequency of deep cleans of the tower blocks, in light of the lockdown.

Only one elite team can deploy anywhere in the world to fight the Delta virus. DELTA FORCE.
“Ullo! Delta Force `ere. Want yer windows washed?”
Only one force has the experience to save us from this nightmare. DELTA FORCE.
“Oooh-err! Look at that grout. The last time I saw mould that bad they knocked the place down, eh!”
The only grime-fighting specialists who have the skills and equipment to defeat this enemy. DELTA FORCE.
“Lady, that is going to have to be a 900 on my Miele to suck the covid out of that carpet, mark my word.”
    DELTA FORCE.

How embarrassing that the global population is reading headline like this from ‘their’ ABC:
“Victoria is now battling COVID on multiple fronts. Here are four things to watch’
The four things to watch should be:
      1. Only 5 cases a day
      2. Zero deaths
      3. Zero patients in ICU
      4. Most patients asymptomatic

      What a scary virus. 😮

I note that one of those who tested positive is a fully vaccinated 99 year old. Media not even asking the obvious question ….

No. With an exponentially growing case load and an R0 of 5 (Five!!) the only good level is 0. It’s the only number that won’t become 600 cases a day in two weeks. See Taiwan.

        It’s just maths. 0x = 0

The easiest time to lockdown is with the first case. Every bigger number is harder. That doesn’t mean we need to lockdown with case 1 — but that decision depends on the who, what, why where information. How many cases are OK? Depends on tracking, variants, relationships, and spread.

          Ro of Five!!!

Surely not. The experience in locked down Victoria is that almost all the transmission has been to close associates (ie prolonged exposure).

          20

          • #

Yes and no. There were also stories of fleeting exposure. some which were false positive. And the fact that it leaked from Adelaide quarantine with something like an 18 second door opening? I’ve heard the Indian variant reported as being an R0 of 8 or 9 by some (but the data is always so dodgy). The original variant was about a 3. And the UK variant was 70% faster than that. There are rumours the Indian variant might be 50% faster again.

I wish I could find a paper with good data….

What the virus catastrophists call “cases” are generally positive test results.

A “case” has a very specific clinical meaning.

According to the Australian Government Dept of Health a “case” must include:

    https://www1.health.gov.au/internet/publications/publishing.nsf/Content/cda-cdna-norovirus.htm-l~cda-cdna-norovirus.htm-l-6

well-defined clinical symptoms (with or without laboratory confirmation)

Most people with positive test results would not be “cases” by this definition.

    90

    • #

That’s a norovirus definition. Not covid?

If that’s the definition for Covid it’s culpably wrong. Asymptomatic spread is well documented, even if it is lower than symptomatic spread.

Dr Reiner Fuellmich begins Legal Litigation on the Covid-19 Fraud- The Greatest Crime Against Humanity

According to American-German lawyer Dr. Reiner Fuellmich, all cases of fraud in German companies are meagre in comparison to the level and depth of damage that has been caused and continues to be caused to humanity by the Covid-19 regulations and this orchestrated crisis. A German Corona Investigative Committee has been working tirelessly since July 10, 2020 to answer some important questions, this Committee has been listening to a large number of international scientists’ and experts’ testimony to find answers to questions about the corona crisis, which more and more people worldwide are asking.

All positive PCR tests are named “cases” and are usually used with an cT of 45. A cT of 45 tells nothing about an infection, it tells only to have had contact to a part of an COV-19 virus.

“PCR is intended to identify substances qualitatively, but by its very nature is unsuited for estimating numbers. Although there is a common misimpression that the viral load tests actually count the number of viruses in the blood, these tests cannot detect free, infectious viruses at all; they can only detect proteins that are believed, in some cases wrongly, to be unique to HIV. The tests can detect genetic sequences of viruses, but not viruses themselves.”

Even if Mullis (inventor of PCR)had voiced a similar statement before his death in 2019, this quote does not mean the PCR test is unable to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2 – the virus that causes COVID-19 – rather that it cannot determine whether the individual tested is infectious.

Mullis was writing about retroviruses and furthermore was not an expert.

Number of cycles is unimportant since the method can identify at which cycle the positive is detected. Late cycle positives are treated with caution and resampled.

I note you appear to have moderated my comment on long covid. I had thought we were wanting to have ideas able to be presented rather than moderated.

On asymptomatic spread it is extremely rare or not at all. We need to be careful about following the narrative here. See link below.

        https://www.aier.org/article/asymptomatic-spread-revisited/

Why is it that time honoured extensively researched areas such as asymptomatic spread (classic idea is that it does not occur) have been falsified by those calling the shots, apparently with the aim of causing more panic and justifying unjustifiable masking?

SARS-CoV-2 infection induces long-lived bone marrow plasma cells in humans

    Abstract

Long-lived bone marrow plasma cells (BMPCs) are a persistent and essential source of protective antibodies1–7. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) convalescent individuals have a significantly lower risk of reinfection8–10. Nonetheless, it has been reported that anti-SARS-CoV-2 serum antibodies experience rapid decay in the first few months after infection, raising concerns that long-lived BMPCs may not be generated and humoral immunity against this virus may be short-lived11–13. Here we demonstrate that in patients who experienced mild infections (n=77), serum anti-SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) antibodies decline rapidly in the first 4 months after infection and then more gradually over the following 7 months, remaining detectable at least 11 months after infection. Anti-S antibody titers correlated with the frequency of S-specific BMPCs obtained from bone marrow aspirates of 18 SARS-CoV-2 convalescent patients 7 to 8 months after infection. S-specific BMPCs were not detected in aspirates from 11 healthy subjects with no history of SARS-CoV-2 infection. We demonstrate that S-binding BMPCs are quiescent, indicating that they are part of a long-lived compartment. Consistently, circulating resting memory B cells directed against the S protein were detected in the convalescent individuals. Overall, we show that SARS-CoV-2 infection induces a robust antigen-specific, long-lived humoral immune response in humans.

SARS-CoV-2-specific T cell immunity in cases of COVID-19 and SARS, and uninfected controls

    Abstract

Memory T cells induced by previous pathogens can shape susceptibility to, and the clinical severity of, subsequent infections1. Little is known about the presence in humans of pre-existing memory T cells that have the potential to recognize severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Here we studied T cell responses against the structural (nucleocapsid (N) protein) and non-structural (NSP7 and NSP13 of ORF1) regions of SARS-CoV-2 in individuals convalescing from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) (n = 36). In all of these individuals, we found CD4 and CD8 T cells that recognized multiple regions of the N protein. Next, we showed that patients (n = 23) who recovered from SARS (the disease associated with SARS-CoV infection) possess long-lasting memory T cells that are reactive to the N protein of SARS-CoV 17 years after the outbreak of SARS in 2003; these T cells displayed robust cross-reactivity to the N protein of SARS-CoV-2. We also detected SARS-CoV-2-specific T cells in individuals with no history of SARS, COVID-19 or contact with individuals who had SARS and/or COVID-19 (n = 37). SARS-CoV-2-specific T cells in uninfected donors exhibited a different pattern of immunodominance, and frequently targeted NSP7 and NSP13 as well as the N protein. Epitope characterization of NSP7-specific T cells showed the recognition of protein fragments that are conserved among animal betacoronaviruses but have low homology to ‘common cold’ human-associated coronaviruses. Thus, infection with betacoronaviruses induces multi-specific and long-lasting T cell immunity against the structural N protein. Understanding how pre-existing N- and ORF1-specific T cells that are present in the general population affect the susceptibility to and pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection is important for the management of the current COVID-19 pandemic.

When everyone is lying, actions are the only truth.
It may be,that truth is only now ,getting its boots on..
    But does it matter?

Does the intent, malice or incompetence really matter as we ponder the Dread Covid Theatre Show?

Actions,by their actions we know them.
    And our leaders panicked.

Charged with keeping public order, created to avoid mass hysteria and supply the citizen with accurate ,timely information, such that we may make informed decisions.
And Oath sworn to protect the freedoms and rights of the citizen..

What did our glorious politicians and bureaucrats actually do?
They proclaimed a “Medical Emergency”,granting themselves the right to cancel all of their former duties.
They restricted access to the healthcare system.
They locked the healthy in their own homes.
They shutdown,by decree almost all productive work and spent billions rewarding nonproducers.
And they sicced their attack dogs onto anyone who cried”Wait a minute”,allowing police tactics that would make any fascist state proud.

Every benefit of living in a “democratic Society” was cast aside, cause “Dread Covid”.

    Was it an emergency?
    Or a rampant panic?

What exactly did our “helpers” do that actually worked?
    Anybody?
For we see the same trends worldwide, wether government functioned or not.

My take is partly sarcasm and partly eyeball observation.

The events of the last 15 months, have been an absolute shitshow.
You could not have written fiction depicting the hysteria, incompetence, groupthink, contradictory statements and blind decrees issuing forth from our help.At least not prior to now.

Since when,in a medical emergency,do you restrict access to healthcare and hire more hall monitors and gestapo?

    Where are the bodies?
For every past wave of pestilence worthy of the title “Pandemic”,has left these markers.

    Where went the wealth?
    Who is poorer?
    Who is richer?

    So were we helped?
    Or were we hurt?
By the bureaucratic monster that rose up?
All the masks are off now.

I say we need new helpers.
Fire them all,for the damage caused by Covid-19 is not in the slight increase in annual deaths, nor in the spread of a lingering malaise..The damage has been immense,to our economic well being.
    To our civil rights.
    To our freedoms as individuals.
    To rule of law.

    Our current leaders failed miserably.
revealing themselves as unfit to hold power,in any form over anyone..
Rules for thee, but none for me being their recurring theme.

According to these fools and frightened bandits who currently hold power, you have no right to make your own decisions,no right to chose your own response.
    Informed decisions?
Apparently whatever their mob deems “Truthy”

Firing them is not enough, for many are seeking to hold power by any means, possibly to prevent themselves ever being held to account for this idiocy, here in Canada our fearless politicians are rushing through a censorship law ,to make it a crime to critique their actions.
Thou shall not mock the morons, nor their minions..

Actions are the only truth we know.
How shall we “reward” our helpers?
Cause I need no enemies with helpers like these.

Sorry to hear free speech is in so much trouble in Canada and your leaders are as hypocritical as any in California, WI and the UK.

We have to keep our eye on the right ball. Hate to sound like a broken record. The solution is to reduce the excuse, to put the fire out at source. We need antivirals and better quarantine, starting a year ago. Only when there is no threat will the government have no excuse for stupid rules and gross intrusions.

There are many who would mirror your words in the UK, US, Spain, Italy, Iran and so many others but they would be saying, the incompetent were all too slow. Too hopelessly unprepared. Too dependent on China for supply. Too slow to shut borders. Too slow to figure out quarantine. Too slow to upgrade quarantine when mutants got nasty.Too slow to send rescue flights. Too slow to approve antivirals. Too incompetent and corrupt to use the cheap therapies — like ivermectin and testing for Vitamin D (especially in Canada@!)

        Government cannot do it.
They will ever be too late and too little. They should never be allowed to slip their chains.

The tragedy of The Dread Covid, has been the assumption that the bureaus could stop a virus.
Just as their extreme hubris with respect to “Stopping Climate Change”.
The belief that Government could control viral spread?
These are the same people that cannot stop invasive plants,or peoples..

Did anything your government actually did, help the citizens deal with The Dread Covid?

Is this virus really pandemic grade?

Or has this whole miserable farce been been one of Bureaucratic Panic and hysteria of the finest order?

For it is only now,in hindsight that we can ask these questions.
        And my answer is brutal.
Hang the worst and leave them to hang as a warning to the rest of their kind.

We have no future if we continue to entrust our affairs to the same people who just “helped us”so brilliantly.

I suspect that you’re using the word “hang” in a metaphorical sense and fully agree.

If there’s No Punishment for deliberate wrong doing, it will continue.

Look at Europe as an example. Europeans obviously behaved in a reasonably disciplined way, worked hard and lived frugally, in the main, post world war two.

They deserved to be able to pass on that rebuilt world to their children and grandchildren.

Instead, their work has been “shared” by politicians seeking to ride above the pain of the masses.

Non contributors have been given undeserved access to the benefits built by others; all they had to do was be grateful and vote appropriately.

          Sick stuff.

            John asks:
Did anything your government actually did, help the citizens deal with The Dread Covid?”

John, things are very different in Australia, and perhaps through accident, perhaps because our swamp is less mature than yours, our government absolutely did get it right.

You may not realize but in most states of Australia (not so much Vic) we have lived the last year like the virus did not even exist.

We gave up our trips to Bali and there is pain because we can’t visit relatives overseas without great hardship. But we have stadiums full of people here in WA, we hold big parties, we visit our relatives in aged care without a thought and our kids have attended school as normal nearly the whole time.

Basically life is normal here except for travel across borders. And the voters love it.

The scandal is that Canada and The US could have done the same. Not as easily, but we wish our friends lived like we do.

Yes, this virus is absolutely pandemic grade. With good medical care we can keep the deaths very low, but in it’s wild state the hospitalization rate is in the order of 14%, for everyone to catch this the death rates rise x 5 as hospitals basically become unavailable for most people, and for many other normal things too for much of a year.

The Crime we need to focus on is getting cheap drugs into care, and shutting the borders until we achieve that.

      John,

That’s a work of art; and I’m thinking a very, very useful piece of art.

      Absolutely, totally completely brilliant.

      Action!

      They dismiss words, so action.

You inspire me to think of a local example to begin.
Our local Council, charged with maintaining footpaths and roads and garbage collection can’t even fix potholes but has sent a representative of our city to several United Bloody Nations conferences overseas.

Local ratepayers could stage a ten minute “moment of silence” outside the new beatiful Taj Mahal style council offices and call the Media. We want council to “do their jobs” not isolate themselves in wokerey and willful self indulgence.

A public display of disgust done weekly with media attention might see big groups of disgusted ratepayers show up.

      Thanks for the post, brilliant.

We do not get good news coverage of events in Australia, especially if it runs counter to the narrative.
Congratulations on having a functioning civil service.
Of course do not say that too loudly or you will be overrun with refugees from North America.

“Yes, this virus is absolutely pandemic grade. Is this not the whole point?
That “good medical care”,using available drugs has been very slow.
Hindered not helped by the weapons grade incompetence and fear from our “helpers”.

That Covids claim to “Pandemic Status” hinges on the promotion of fearmongers.

I have been using Brazil as my “control natural”
With a pop of 212 million and a barely functioning govt their death toll of 473 000 is my standard for what Covid can do,unchecked.
So Covid kills 2&1/4 per 1000?Gets out calculator..mumbles.close enough.
so 997.75 of each 1000 afflicted survive.
    Is Brazil a bad example?
    Canada 26 000 dead in 34 million,so 3/4 of a person per 1000 meaning 999.25 of each 1000 survive?
And that is with our current treatment advice of stay home and isolate until you feel really sick or recover..

    Is this Pandemic Grade?
    Truly?

I got those numbers from the Covid update charts on Google, supposedly all current numbers.
Of course what has taken my cynicism to new heights is a comparison of “Deaths in Government Care versus deaths in private homes, using Government of Canada Numbers.
Will go off to seek that link.
Blood curdling stuff,if you have loved ones in Government “care”.

      John,
I believe that Jo’s comments above primarily relate to her home state of Western Australia which is ideally situated to weather the CV19 storm.

The lockdowns here on the East coast have been little more than a useful political tool to give the appearance of action on the COVID19 front. In reality there’s been little or no medical justification or benefit for the complete shutdown of society and the human damage that followed.

Schools and universities “working from home” and online might look good in newspaper headlines but in reality, isn’t that a bad joke?

Here in NovoCastria we have a main street that’s over a mile long and in the past year I’ve walked up and back several times. Literally every second shop/office/business is closed or empty/unused.

Closure rates in suburban centres is also high.

The story of human suffering behind that has been hidden from public view, but I’m sure that there’s a gigantic human tragedy.

Will governments be as eager to publish “data” on pandemic inspired suicides and drug abuse over the next few years? Don’t think so.

Overall I would sum up by saying that the skills learnt in “fighting” the dangerous issue of Climate change have been adapted and put to good use by our governments and political class.

      Where has reality gone to?

But as time has dragged on,I have not seen acceptable proof of a medical emergency.Does Covid even qualify as Pandemic Grade and if so where does it rate against the Spanish Flu?
        The Swine Flu?
        Or The Black Death?

Can the behaviour of our “helpers” be justified?

Your summary post has been very much appreciated.

One of the big issues for me has been the acceptance of data from many very different countries as being equivalent.

The biological environment is critical in the life of the CV19 virus, and yet countries with vastly different backgrounds are lumped together.

New York, Italy, Brazil and Australia, for example, are compared with each other in CV19 development and progression.

As mentioned many times previously the “environment” for CV19 in each of those places is significantly different.

When such a simple issue is ignored by “analysts” it doesn’t give much hope that governments are leading us in the right direction with covid.

            That’s twice I’ve left off the main point;

I cancelled my flight via China to Thailand on ~29Jan2020 and started then to investigate Covid-19. As recently posted elsewhere:

There was no increase in total deaths in Alberta or Canada up to 30June2020 – no increase in total deaths means no deadly pandemic. The lockdowns etc were never justified.

I knew about the Dr Fauci involvement about one year ago – he originated the gain-of-function virus research and offshored it to Wuhan when it was declared illegal in the USA.

A year ago I concluded that the Covid-19 virus originated from the Wuhan lab and not at the wet market. The only question then was “did the virus jump (escape), or was it pushed?”

Based on all the dystopian events since then, I conclude the virus was pushed out of the lab – deliberately released for political and financial gain.

The gross mismanagement of this false pandemic since Day 1 cannot be simply ascribed to incompetence – there was never any justification for the lockdown of under-65’s – all we needed to do was over-protect the very elderly and infirm. I published that conclusion with confidence on 21March2020 and that was correct.

The lockdowns have cost society about one hundred times more harm than the Covid-19 illness – it was never a close call. A criminal case is being prepared in Canada to pursue our government leaders for criminal negligence.
