ATLANTA, GA—The CDC has cautioned Americans against taking the red pill, as it can lead to severe side effects such as “realizing the truth about the way our society is manipulated by the elites” and “spending all your time on YouTube watching Jordan Peterson videos.”
“We’ve seen a lot of people recommend taking the red pill,” said CDC Director Rochelle Walensky. “And we just have to remind everyone that the pill is not approved by the FDA or any other governing body. It could spread ideas like that freedom is a good thing and that thinking for yourself is a healthy American value. People might start getting the wrong idea.”
Meanwhile, the FDA is rushing out an emergency approval process on a new, stronger blue pill to counteract the red pill crisis.
Jo says read the rest at The BabylonBee. See the BluePill in the proto-Beta version at the TGA site, where the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration warns that Doctors are no longer allowed to prescribe the Red Pill because people on social media are getting the doses wrong.
Informed consent means being told that if you don’t take the Blue Pill, you may get sacked.

Love this. A good supply of red pills is needed!
320
As taking the Red Pill is a willingness to learn a potentially unsettling or life-changing truth I’d have thought the last thing needed here is a good supply as Conservativer sure ain’t keein on learning any unsettling or life-changing truth as they’re still stuck in the 1950s living in ignorance. Most of the progressive legislation in Australia has emanated from the ALP not the LNP. Examples are Floating of the Australian dollar. Deregulation of the financial system. Diismantled the tariff system. Family Allowance. Medicare. Free tertiary education, NDIS. APEC. Childcare support for all children.
147
” unsettling or life-changing truth”
Lol… keep taking the blue pills!
Reality and truth.. you don’t need that!
“Dismantled the tariff system”... Leading to exportation of manufacturing and productive jobs to China.
“Family Allowance” Leading to whole families living by creating babies.
“Free tertiary education,” Leading to a whole heap of “basket-weaving” style non-productive courses to cater for those that can’t cope with STEM.
The ignorance of leftist unintended consequences.
220
What about the legislation to allow the privatisation of assets, and the sell off of the first third of the Commonwealth bank, except that the it was done to save the Victorian ALP Government at the time from the State Bank disaster.
160
Ian,
Floating of the Australian dollar, Deregulation of the financial system and Dismantling the tariff system were all ideas of the LNP but they could never get them through parliament without support from the ALP, who refused like they always did for political reasons. When the ALP took government, the Conservatives supported what they thought to be good policy. You were wrong again, just like always.
180
Mmmm free tertiary education, that worked out well

They’ve woken up to the fact that protests are symbolic but don’t actually change anything.
As we’ve seen with Dan Andrews Booster-shot/temporary passport, things are NEVER going back to normal.
There will be full blown riots and major violence. Ramping up in dozens of countries now.

He is a strong supporter of the mRNA covid vaccination without criticism and self-censors so Leftist YouTube doesn’t cancel him but even he regards the IVM ban as bizarre and proceeds to destroy the three reasons for banning given by the Thugs and Goons Administration. Interestingly, the TGA never stated it wasn’t effective as one of their reasons.

Vox explains where IVM Mania came from, and how it has become yet another battle in the culture war.
The furor has also ensnared the researchers studying ivermectin. Ed Mills, a researcher at McMaster University in Canada, told me he’d been flooded with abusive emails when his study (“larger than all the other ivermectin trials put together,” he told me) found that ivermectin’s purported benefits were too small to be detectable. That study (not yet published) is part of a several-thousand-person randomized controlled trial, the gold standard for evaluating Covid-19 treatments.
But it’s not clear those results — or the many other results in the pipeline from high-quality research — will end the public debate about ivermectin. The mania feels beyond the reach of reason at this point.

The two zinc ionophores looked at, HCQ and Ivermectin, strangely neglected to incorporate zinc. No one who has honestly investigated either of those drugs for C-19 has neglected to use this essential co-factor, it is the whole basis for zinc ionophore therapy.
Who exactly is it who has ever promoted HCQ or IVM for C-19 treatment has ever excluded zinc?
How odd.
162
As I understand, ivermectin is not a zinc ionophore.
It must be given with food to have effect as an anti-viral. A condition easy to fake in an otherwise “high-quality research “gold standard trial.
Among other failures of that Vox hit piece is the absence of mention of India.
The medication is describe as ineffective but harmless. If they really believed that description then the cost of a few dollars for treatment would not be worth the invective used. There is another motive.

Hi Ian,
You’re probably just spitballing to get a reaction. But in case you do believe what you wrote.
On what basis do you assert that most “Conservatives” are not rational thinkers?
Do you think that also applies to “Liberals”? i.e. That most people are not rational regardless of their liberal or conservative categories. Or centrist if a third group required.
I’m assuming that most to you means more than 50%, as it does to me.
140
“On what basis do you assert that most “Conservatives” are not rational thinkers?”
An example is that Conservatives believe in capitalism which you may or may not know is defined as an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state but are slamming Big Pharma for doing just that. How rational is that?
Conservatives subscribe to individualistic and hierarchical values and are more likely than others to value elites, free enterprise and the status quo and are inclined to favour ‘big business’. But Conservatives are forever excoriating Universities which they consider are hotbeds of elitism. How rational is that? I should not have used the quantifying adjective.
Conservatives are more likely than liberals to endorse conspiracy thinking. This effect was explained by a distrust in officials and paranoid tendencies. Studies have found consistent and compelling evidence that conservatives were more likely than liberals to endorse a general conspiracy mentality and belief in a global warming conspiracy.
https://www.psypost.org/2020/11/conservatives-propensity-toward-conspiracy-thinking-can-be-explained-by-a-distrust-in-officials-and-paranoid-thinking-58459
122
” but are slamming Big Pharma for doing just that. How rational is that?”
Actually for deliberately implementing a policy that sacrifices human lives as a part of a process of financial exploitation.
30
Your first two examples of irrational thinking can be easily dismissed.
Support for capitalism and a dislike for someone’s approach to capitalism are not necessarily inconsistent or irrational. Conservatives generally do think ethics are an important part of business and capitalism.
The criticism of universities is based on conservatives generally supporting individuals rights, academic freedom, and free speech. Universities are now quelling those ideals. The criticism of university liberal “elites” is their not practicing what they preach.
Neither of those criticisms are irrational or inconsistent.
How does “more likely” definitively translate to “most”? It doesn’t unless the less likely group is “most” of an equal or greater sized group.
Does this mean you concede your original claim of “most” was wrong?
From the link you posted.
It seems you’re referring to a portion of people in the US and not a broad group of conservatives.
Is distrust of groups who have been shown to regularly lie actually an irrational reaction?
The liberals claim Donald Trump lied a lot and that he couldn’t be trusted. Are they therefore irrational on that basis?
I think your original claim has been shown to be irrational.
There are studies that indicate liberals are more emotion driven in their thinking and ideology than conservatives. I could cite these studies as showing liberals are more irrational that conservatives. But given I’m a conservative must have an inherent distrust of the study and think it’s just a conspiracy to divide people. So I dismiss it and won’t make the claim.
70
Strop, thanks for taking the time to attempt to debase Ian of his piss poor reasoning. Don’t expect it to help him. He labors under the illusion that the dark side of human nature is limited to free enterprise and individual liberty. Despite 140 million plus dead by their own government over the past century, he can’t imagine why removing individual rights and freedoms for the “greater good” could possibly end in brutal tyranny.
70
Ian, capitalism over communism has always been about accepting that power corrupts people. if you limit the power to the individual, the corruption will be contained and isolated in a normal society, but if you centralise power to the few (elites, dictators, communist casts etc), then the corruption will be complete.
the example of big pharma is that these companies have become too large, sure, but they would have been contained had it not been for the desire of corrupt governments and agencies with social engineering goals in mind to enable them. this brings it back to the will of the society to either control corruption or extend it (capitalism v communism). unfortunately, there have been many actively pushing society to the left for the last 50 years by example taking over universities etc and the will to control corruption by law has been replaced by the desire to extend government controls/regulation or centralise power to control it. controlling corruption is the job of the law, not the government. governments may have guidelines, but further involvement is a theft of power of the individual into the hands of government.
conspiracy is the domain of the left. when the whole global warming thing started, the websites covering the subject were few, but the majority were sites like desmog etc, where they delve into conspiracy of the fossil fuel syndicates etc. there has been no change on that front. questioning global warming is saying you are in the pay of big oil. how can anyone possibly say that the ‘right’ are more conspiratorial, what trash.
70
Yes, “ power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely “ Is not, IMV, correct on two fronts. First it does not necessarily corrupt, but it reveals corruption. ( as it amplifies the ability of the innately corrupt personality to manifest or demonstrate that corruption) And if it does not necessarily corrupt, it cannot “absolutely” corrupt. A more accurate expression is perhaps that “ Power reveals corruption “
There are many noble historical examples of powerful individuals who are not corrupt, but lived Nobel inspirations lives.
But what is the corruption that power can reveal. It is vey simply, “ Power over Others, the basis of all crimes. Government is inherently Power over others, backed by the rule of law, backed by violence; thus the phrase “Government is a necessary evil”. Government therefore attracts folk that love “Power over Others “. And God given inalienable individual rights are the best protection method from that evil. Those rights are being destroyed around the world at this time.
Thanks for your fine post.
40

Typical behaviour observed in a dictatorship. They are spraying her as if she were an insect. They have already pushed this lady on the ground, she has smashed her head and now they are spraying her with pepper spray to “vaccinate” her. These “police” must be so proud of themselves (they really would be, there is now a culture of brutality in the Vicdanistan and certain other Australian police forces). In fact they are no longer a people’s police force but Supreme Leader Andrews’ private army. We have no Bill of Rights in Auschtralia so we will see much more such brutality as Australia’s dictatorship is consolidated.
It will only get worse, there is little chance of it getting better. This is how a virus is now treated – not with science but with extreme violence and social disruption from the government and their agents. I can’t wait for the next influenza outbreak.
Of course, it is not really about a virus and the global warming scam wasn’t about the climate. It is just an excuse to implement totalitarian control by the Leftist Elites.

Andrew Bolt: Daniel Andrews turns Victoria into police state
Daniel Andrews claims his way is right and everyone else is wrong and sends out an army of troops to quash any resistance. He has turned our beloved Victoria into a police state.
I am disgusted, frightened and ashamed by what I saw on Saturday. Premier Daniel Andrews has turned my beloved Victoria into a police state.
I watched as a line of police rushed up to a woman who seemed well into her 70s and had an Australian flag tied around her neck as she calmly stood in a Richmond street.
But – go see the video – a burly police officer, towering over her, gave her a huge shove. She fell backwards, hitting her head on the road. As she lay stunned and helpless, two police leaned over and sprayed her full in the face with pepper spray, and walked off.
The woman rolled onto her side, and was still, but a line of police – some of the 2000 sent to crush any demonstration – walked right by her, not checking whether she’d been seriously hurt.
Note: This violence was done in the name of “public safety”. Your safety.
But that is a lie. This elderly woman was assaulted by police not because she was a health hazard – she wasn’t – but because the Premier is furious that people won’t follow his insane commands to follow “The Rules”.
But why should they? Andrews will this week break a world record that will make us an international horror story.
On October 4 he will make Melbourne the city locked down the longest – a total of 246 days.
And Andrews on Sunday made clear he won’t just break the record but smash it.
His new “road map” to freedom is a fraud – a promise to keep Melbourne locked down for a least a month more.
This woman posed no threat to a living soul.
She was certainly not a virus threat. She and others at Saturday’s anti-lockdown protest were in the open air, and an Irish study suggests just one in a 1000 infected people catch Covid outdoors.
Nor was she a physical threat, certainly not to police. A woman that age? Of that slight build? Just standing there?
And don’t buy the spin of his tame police commanders.
They said they had to stop the protest to prevent a potential “super-spreader” event, but that’s another lie: Andrews still can’t point to a single person getting infected at any protest in Australia.
Saturday’s protesters obviously knew it was a lie, too.
They also thought it was worth protesting for their freedom despite the risk of fines, arrest, assault and a face full of pepper spray.
I know, a few were violent, and I hate that.
It’s very wrong that they hurt police, but I fear we’ll see more violence unless Andrews stops turning this virus panic into a civil war.
Consider: He’s locked these protesters in their homes for months, and when they dare protest he’s sent police to block them, spray them, and fine them $5000 if police can catch them. You’re surprised things turned physical?
How ludicrous. Just let the protesters march – just let the police serve the people, not the Premier – and the only hurt will be to Andrews’ pride
530
Terry McCrann: Only certainty in Victoria’s lockdown roadmap is despair
Businesses finally have certainty after Victoria’s lockdown exit plan was released — but it’s not a roadmap to freedom.
The Andrews government road map promises at the very least a further six to seven weeks of despair and devastation for tens of thousands of businesses and hundreds of thousands of workers – and then only possible limited relief after that.
At its core, nothing really substantial changes until Victoria is 80 per cent fully vaccinated, supposedly reached around Melbourne Cup Day.
Until then, we remain as imprisoned in our homes as we are now, and the businesses across the economy that are now closed – or all but closed – remain closed.
Until then, it’s only tokens, captured by the way the travel limit goes from our new-found freedom this weekend to travel 10km, to 15km probably next weekend, and then we have to wait another month to go 25km.
We can go outside a few hours a day, we can go further, but we can’t actually do anything.
That’s to say, most retail, entertainment, hospitality, leisure, tourism, restaurants and pubs remain banned.
Further, and in some ways even more depressingly and devastatingly, even after we get to the 80 per cent fully vaccinated state, the conditions under which everything supposedly “opens up”, will render it still uneconomic or marginal for many businesses.
This is not a road map to freedom, and certainly not a road map for a return to a pre-Covid 2019 future.
330
Perhaps there is another certainty in Victoria. In 12 months time, if the same COVID issues are are still around, there will be no lockdowns or restrictions, since Victoria is due for an election in November 2022, unless the Andrews Government manages to give, or has given themselves, some emergency power to suspend the election

The younguns are clueless generally, even in their 20s, and it still has its novelty factor.
As the old revolutionaries use to say “Never trust anyone older than 30 ” – yeah because older people who have seen life, would call out the corrosive pinkos for what they are, and rightly suggest they be imprisoned.
Some history lessons for the youngsters are the order of the day.
The list is quite long to chose from – Mussolini, Hitler, Mao, Stalin

Rita Panahi: Daniel Andrews delivers a roadmap to misery
The slavish adherence to health advice that is never released and modelling that has been wildly wrong sees Australia isolated and trapped in a Covid hellscape of its own making.
After being shamed into releasing a roadmap the Dan Andrews government has delivered a document of misery and malpractice.
Not so much a roadmap to freedom but a plan to inflict further crippling restrictions even once we reach 80 per cent double vaccinated.
Lockdown Six, sold as a seven-day short, sharp lockdown will in fact last more than 80 days.
At Monday’s press conference the premier was again blaming vaccine supply and the virus being imported from Sydney for Victoria’s woes.
Nobody with an IQ above room temperature accepts that self-serving nonsense and I don’t recall the NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian blaming Victoria for the Covid outbreaks we exported.
NSW’s plan is imperfect and overly cautious, particularly when it comes to schools, but their citizens will be living relatively freely when the 70 per cent double jabbed target is met while Victorians will still be under sweeping restrictions.
The harm being inflicted in the name of “Covid safety” now far exceeds the benefit.
Throughout this pandemic the modelling, both here and overseas, has been wildly wrong and always wrong in the one direction.
The Burnet Institute is no different and as late as August 2021 released absurd, scaremongering predictions about Sydney’s outbreak topping 7,000 plus cases a day.
“Furthermore, unless new controls introduced on 28 and 30 July or in the future (eg. LGAs that develop large case numbers are included in the tighter controls) have a major impact, our model projects that Sydney will have about 7700 cases per day 4 weeks from now,” the Burnet Institute claimed in an August 2 report authored by a quartet of their top experts including the director and deputy director.
Well the new controls didn’t have much of an impact and yet NSW never got anywhere near the doomsday predictions.
On Monday NSW had 935 cases from 124,650 tests while Victoria reported 567 cases from just 50,915 tests.
The disparity in the daily test numbers between Victoria and NSW is not improving; one wonders what case numbers Victoria would record if the state’s testing numbers were in line with NSW.
More than 85 per cent of Victoria’s cases are concentrated in the west and northern suburbs and yet more than five million Melburnians remain under curfew with draconian restrictions that the rest of the world has long abandoned regardless of their vaccination rate.
The slavish adherence to health advice that is never released and modelling that has been consistently wrong sees Australia isolated from the rest of the world and trapped in a Covid hellscape of its own making.
We don’t need to wait for Sydney to reopen to recalibrate the modelling as premier Andrews claimed during Monday’s press conference.
The rest of the advanced world, with the exception of Australia and New Zealand, is open and they opened with vaccination rates well below Australian targets.
We can look at their figures and how their hospital systems have coped rather than rely on flawed models designed by lockdown enthusiasts.

Woman pepper sprayed in face urged to help police probe
A woman sprayed in the face with pepper spray during Melbourne’s wild weekend protest is being urged to come forward as police probe the incident.
Police have urged a woman allegedly knocked to the ground and capsicum sprayed in the face by officers during a wild weekend protest to come forward.
The incident, along with the spraying of a press photographer, is now the subject of an internal investigation.
There has been some fierce criticism of the treatment of the woman, which came as police moved towards a group of anti-lockdown demonstrators in Richmond.
A complaint about what happened to her has been received from a third-party but she has not come forward.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said investigators wanted to hear from the woman, who was wearing a red top and was draped in what appeared to be an Australian flag.
“We’re reviewing it, regardless. We urge her to come forward,” the spokeswoman said.
It is unclear why the woman, who appeared shaken by the experience, has not contacted police.
One possibility is that she is concerned about being fined for breaching chief health officer directives by being at the rally.
200
Possibly she is too badly injured to be able to come forward. I read somewhere that not only did she have concussion from the push onto the hard surface but also burns on her face from the pepper spray, a broken hip and abroken wrist. Absolutely disgusting the way she was attacked. Perhaps she is also scared. She should sue the pants off the two pepper sprayers and all those police who callously ignored her plight and left ber lying on the ground alone.

Victoria to enter a new highly monitored normal
Cafes, pub, and retail workers will be forced to become vaccine police when the state starts to wake to it’s new highly monitored normal.
Cafes, pub, and retail workers will become vaccine police when the state hits its 70 per cent double-dose target.
Victoria will be divided into the jab and the jab-nots from October 26 when parts of the economy open up.
Britain scrapped plans for a vaccination passport last week, with the scheme there labelled as “divisive, unworkable and expensive.”
But Victoria is pushing ahead with the scheme as a key plank of reopening.
The new de facto Covid-19 police will have to demand evidence of vaccination through the Services Victoria app.
There are questions about how the system will work, with government IT boffins trialling how to link the Victorian app with the federal government’s vaccine data.
The Victorian government IT track record has been far from glorious — police are still using the LEAP database they first tried, and failed, to update in 2006. They eventually abandoned a new program after spending $45m on the project to simply put it in the bin.
The tough vaccine check-in rules also comes as teachers will top a yet-to-be finalised laundry list of industries where vaccinations will be mandatory.
Premier Daniel Andrews said work was underway to link the programs, and those without smartphones would have to provide a paper vaccine passport.
“The trials are in fact to test the Commonwealth database of who’s been vaccinated, Australian immunisation registry, the AIR Database, with our Services Victoria app so they can talk to each other,” Mr Andrews said.
“Not to retain any information, there’s no privacy issues here, we’re not going to keep a record of who’s vaccinated, we don’t have that.”
The vaccine passport, will be in force until at least until the middle of next year, as Victoria enters a new, highly monitored, normal.
160
That is, in no way, shape or form, ‘normal”.
I’d better invest in a handbell and a sign saying “Unclean”. It’s bullying.

It is almost unbelievable that an Australian police force would behave like that, but there it is, in real time. What has become of this wonderful country that I was so pleased to call my home in 1966?

Americans who fought in American Revolutionary wars against British understood that standing army and police ( we call them professional –another name is mercenary) are tools of oppression.
Early Americans did not have police –they have sheriff elected for one year and process repeated, every year.

Interestingly the police capsicum spraying of an Age journalist has apparently caught the attention of the police standards hierarchy. It briefly cracked a mention on their ABC news pages this morning but was gone when I went back now to check the details.
The police standards hierarchy really needs to look at the whole fraccas from police demanding that the CBD be shut down through to acting as a road block and human battering ram through to individual acts of grossly excessive force.
The police response to the next protest will provide greater insights.

Like all dictators, Andrews has massively expanded the police force and has added an extra 3000.

LIVE now – will police back the CFMEU in Melbourne streets?
CFMEU boss John Setka has been verbally abused and accosted by a massive group of workers, mostly men without masks, outside the union’s headquarters in Melbourne.
The Victorian state secretary tried to address the crowd, who mostly donned high vis jumpers, to address their concerns about mandatory vaccination and passports in construction.
But he could hardly get a word in, and the mob turned violent – pushing and shoving – as he attempted to retreat within the Carlton headquarters.
As he tried to leave, members of the group lobbed bottles and trays at him and other union representatives.
Mr Setka could be seen holding his hands up as the group surged forward near the entrance and appeared to break out in a scuffle.
Earlier, Mr Setka said : “Please let me have a say”.
“I have never… said I support mandatory vaccination,” he said through a loudspeaker.
“I will address the concerns of CFMEU members,” he added. “Are you going to let me talk or shout over the top of me.”
The group shouted “F**k the jab” at Mr Setka. They also shouted: “Stand up or stand down”.
Mr Setka said: “I can’t even hear myself think.
No Police

Construction workers’ anti-vaccine protest turns violent at CFMEU Melbourne
A violent brawl has erupted outside CFMEU headquarters as furious anti-vaccination tradies faced off with union boss John Setka, forcing him to retreat inside.
Union boss John Setka came out of the building and attempted to control the protesters by megaphone.
The group retaliated by throwing crates and water bottles at Setka before his security guards pulled him inside to safety.
Tradies smashed the glass on the front door of the building while chanting “my body, my choice”.
Staff inside the building locked themselves in after a scuffle broke out and the tense situation escalated.
Tradies could also be seen chanting “Dan Andrews’ b—-” as Mr Setka attempted to calm them down.
Protesters, most of whom are maskless, are not being controlled by police.
Officers remain on the outskirts of the protest blocking off two surrounding lanes on Elizabeth St.
200
It’s interesting how Leftists always scream “my body my choice” in reference to abortions or at-birth infanticide but then it is deemed appropriate to force an experimental vaccine on everyone.
Also, this will get interesting. One union leader, the leader of Dictator Andrews favourite and most radical union, against a bunch of the his followers.
In this one instance this gang of union thugs might do something useful for once in their lives if they can stop the vax mandates.

Vindictive S.O.B Dictator Dan – Tools down, dukes up: union in Covid revolt
The Andrews government has ordered an immediate shutdown of Victoria’s $22bn construction industry following violent protests in which union members joined forces with anti-vaxxers, smashing the windows of the CFMEU’s headquarters, throwing flares and projectiles, and hurling abuse at union boss John Setka.
The decision came after more than a week of threats from the government to close worksites, after the industry was linked to hundreds of Covid-19 cases and the seeding of the virus into ¬regional local government areas.
It also followed the issuing of a strongly worded joint statement from building industry unions ¬including the CFMEU, ETU, Plumbers Union and AMWU, which accused the government of introducing “heavy-handed” health directions that had “only served to drive many people towards the anti-vax movement”.
The Australian understands cabinet had made the closure decision on Monday morning — ostensibly on advice from chief health officer Brett Sutton — but rushed to announce it earlier than planned in response to the protest.
At least 500 protesters swarmed the CFMEU headquarters in Elizabeth Street, just north of the city, for much of Monday. The crowd included mostly men without masks who donned high-vis jumpers.
A daily industry engagement call set to take place between the government and stakeholders at 7pm was cancelled at the last minute, and they were instead told of the shutdown in an online meeting some described as “very heated”.
The closure will affect all sites in metropolitan Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Mitchell Shire, with the exception of 11 critical infrastructure projects, and emergency repairs. It was due to start at 11.59pm on Monday.
Industry sources estimated the closure would cost $450m a week, in a sector that employs 300,000 Victorians and has thus far been protected from closures by a government that has shut down many other key industries.
Monday’s violent clashes followed the government’s announcement last Thursday that construction workers would no longer be permitted to cross ¬between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria for work, after cases seeded from Melbourne to regional LGAs including Ballarat, Geelong, Surf Coast, Bass Coast and Mitchell Shire.
All construction sites were required to close tea rooms and introduce worker shift bubbles and Covid-19 marshals from Friday. All workers are required to have received or booked at least one dose of vaccine before midnight this Friday, unless they have a medical exemption.
In their joint statement, the coalition of building unions said they had “strongly conveyed to the highest levels of government that mandatory vaccination requirements and the removal of amenities such as tearooms would be “unworkable and too heavy handed”.
“We have pointed out that these hastily written restrictions will lead to discontent, anger, and division within the industry, and we will continue to campaign against them,” the unions said.
“As we have done privately through industry forums and directly with the government, we call on the Andrews government, chief health officer, and the Department of Health to come to a sensible return-to-work scenario that accommodates the reality of our industry and respects the workers who have built this city.
The unions said they had “never supported mandatory vaccination”. “This heavy-handed mandate by the chief health officer, which was implemented with no notice, has only served to drive many people towards the anti-vax movement,” the statement read.
Mr Andrews described the CFMEU headquarters as an “illegal gathering” but downplayed the extent to which the workers were representative of their industry, citing examples of hundreds of tradies getting vaccinated over the weekend.
“Protests don‘t work. Getting vaccinated works; following the rules works,” Mr Andrews said.
“That‘s how you stay open, that’s how you get open if you’re not open now. None of those decisions are made lightly about the rules that apply on a building site.”

Someone here said she was sprayed like a c*ckroach. How apt.

Police today are acting like the fireman in the movie Fahrenheit 451 where firemen cause fires not put them out. Today some, not all cause violence not prevent it. What the police should be doing is allowing the protests to continue and only react if it becomes violent, such as smashing cars, buildings, etc.. What the police are now doing is only adding fuel to the fire. One could say they are just following orders but in reality that’s not going to hold up in any future Nuremberg trials.
100
Actually that’s exactly what the police did with the construction workers clashing at CFMEU headquarters against mandatory vaccinations. I didn’t hear any arrests or violent actions by the police. We all know why. If they did we would have a full scale riot. One law for the plebs and another for special people. Is it any wonder people are getting fed up with the hypocrisy of it all?
90
No little old ladies in that crowd, so the big brave bullies had to stay away..
90
I’m interested in the ones giving the orders. Shameful and utterly clueless.
70
The red pill also comes in a Gummy version. It maybe soft but is 100% strength.
180
I don’t think we’ve seen anything yet regarding the protests. If the politicians go back on their pathway-to-freedom plan when the nation is 80% double vax, our civilians will start bringing real weapons to the protests and lives on both sides will be lost as a result. I cannot imagine for one moment, that those officers on the ground, are happy being used as punching bags by their political masters.
231
Eventually, the police will need to decide which side they are on…..
“I was just following orders” doesnt cut it.
381
“Just following orders” or the plea of “superior orders” hasn’t been acceptable since the trials of Peter von Hagenbach (1474), the trial of Australian Breaker Morant (controversial) in the Boer War, Lieutenant Karl Neumann, U boat captain in WW1, and most famously Nazis in the Nuremberg trials.
Victorian and other Australian public serpents tasked with doing things contrary to Australian tradition would do well to remember that.

Newspoll: Scott Morrison and Albanese lose support to minor parties
Popular support for federal Labor has fallen amid a decline in personal approval for Anthony Albanese, who has slipped to his lowest net satisfaction ratings since becoming Opposition Leader more than two years ago.
An exclusive Newspoll conducted for The Australian shows Scott Morrison also losing ground, with his own personal support dropping to its lowest net levels since the 2020 bushfires.
The significant falls in satisfaction in the performances of both federal leaders came as voters increasingly looked to park their support with minor parties as lockdowns continue in the two most populous states, NSW and Victoria.
This three-point turnaround in primary support for the major parties has marginally improved the two-party-preferred contest for the Coalition, which has gone from being behind 46-54 per cent in the previous poll to 47-53 per cent in the latest survey.
There has been no movement in support for the Greens party, which remains on 10 per cent, and Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, which has 3 per cent.
Votes for minor parties continued to rise, lifting another point to 12 per cent.

Gandhi way is better way — a non-violent disobedience
Two Kinds of Resistance to Tyranny
Gary North – August 16, 2021
Would you rather wind up like David Koresh or Barack Obama?
Does this sound like a silly question? It isn’t.
Koresh thought he could kill federal officers and get away with it. He got killed, taking a lot of naive, trusting, and armed adults with him . . . and unarmed children.
Obama decided to follow the tactics of Saul Alinsky, a non-violent revolutionary who adopted the tactics of resistance used by Gandhi. A successful revolution avoids violence.
Who has been more successful in pursuing his agenda?
better tactics would be to block major roads — lay on the ground and chain themselves…

Saul Alinsky and Gandhi and the principle of Ahimsa have nothing in common.

You mean Obama had objectives beyond self promotion?

I was wondering about that too!

They don’t want the majority to know the truth for the simple reason that they want to avoid a panic if the public did happen to know the truth. So, the lies keep coming on and on as the pressure increases from the few who do know the truth and manage to trickle it to the public. So it becomes a viscous circle as officialdom becoming more and more draconian. The scaremongering is already off the scale both in terms of CAGW and COVID-19 plandemic. So, they have resorted to police state tactics only on a limited scale at the moment but will only get much more frequent and harsher if and when more and more people do happen to know the truth.
Whether that does eventuate depends on the conviction and persistence of those leading the charge for the truth. Jo’s blog is just one of many. So as long as they remain there is some hope the truth will prevail and avoid a nightmare scenario. The trouble the social media companies know this and are making it harder and harder for such truth seekers. I can’t see it going well as long as governments keep pretending it’s not a serious issue. After all they have allowed so much indoctrination to prevail in our public schools and through our own ABC funded by the government, so what hope is their they will do something about the obvious propaganda tactics from social media companies? None because they refuse to clean up their own acts and thus they won’t even bother to clean up others.
The banning of the prescription of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 is just the start. If they manage to deploy the vaccine passports and they become permanent then look forward to a lot of the people actually helping the police to put the screws on those who refuse to stop trying to spread the truth. It’s typical of what happens when totalitarian regimes develop and become mature. It will be the last step towards an uprising of more civil violence and possibly even civil war.
Our governments are playing with fire. They know they have to keep the lid on the truth as much as possible otherwise their own lives are at stake. It’s too late for them to say sorry and go back to the old ways. So, they have no choice but to stand their ground and if necessary expand their draconian tactics to whatever it takes, and that might eventually include Naz1 style tactics. Only time will tell. It all depends really on how much the people want to know the truth. Many don’t actually for a number of reasons. For some it hurts them to know the truth so they avoid pain by pretending it doesn’t matter and go along with the governments’ edicts and lies. For others they like seeing what is happening as they are evil themselves and like seeing governments becoming more evil. For yet others it’s a matter of denial and they are scared of knowing the truth. Then there are the lazy and the brainless who can’t be bothered or even refuse to open their eyes to the truth.
That is the reality of the situation. There will come a time though where a breaking point will be reached as the nation treads ever closer to thinner and thinner ice. How and when are anyone’s guesses.
440
Watching the Victorian police being literally run down by angry Victoristanis who successfully charged and broke a police line, should serve as a clear reminder the next step could and involve deaths on both sides, based a knowledge of history and of human nature.
I abhor violence, and I do know quite a few victorians and I know that they appear to be well beyond ticked off.
Stairman D knows the dam is about to break, hence the white flag of a “roadmap” is being offered.
280
Although you, I and many others abhor violence, it will happen anyway because people in general can only take so much draconian BS. I won’t be partaking in it but many others will – it;s human nature. I’m not really looking forward to that stage but it will come. I am sure of it. As you say history is proof enough and we are witnessing the same old signs.
170
Yep, Victoria has had some nasty reprisals against overt police actions over many decades. Two young constables murdered at close range after turning up to a call. Russel St Police headquarters bombing. More recently a mentally distressed young man drove his car into Melbourne city, did donuts at an intersection and then drove along a busy city footpath killing and injuring a lot of people. You could say all those incidents were as a response to police actions. How can we have relatively peaceful demos in both Brisbane and Perth and have these scenes in Melbourne? Something is seriously amiss.
140
Following Peter’s Train of thought…
“That is the reality of the situation. There will come a time though where a breaking point will be reached as the nation treads ever closer to thinner and thinner ice. How and when are anyone’s guesses.”
Reality is all in.
This is like an evil game where the evil side is going to be forced to ‘discover’ ivermectin. Isolation is not working in North America, UK, or Europe. The public will not accept it and the countries are going broke. It is clear and clear every day that based on the economic news… … that we must restart the economies and fix problems to avoid collapse. We have reached the end of isolation and shut-downing small independent companies/businesses.
It is dangerous/not possible to vaccinate over and over and over again. Because Covid is a WMD and the spike was designed to cause biological problems, damage, and death for tactical reasons.
The reality is covid spike was designed using biological advance science and knowledge of the human immune response to hurt us and to cause long term damage, like damage to the heart and nerve cells.
The vaccines currently are the only official, and allowed option, to protect against covid, in North America, UK, Europe, and they are working in North America, UK, Europe… not so bad…. for the not so severely Vit D portion of the population.
The Vaccines do not work and will never work, for the severely Vit D deficient portion of the population. The human immune response is proportional to the blood serum Vit D level in the patient. Makes sense.
Vit D is required by our cells to access our cell’s copy of our DNA each and every time during the day the cell needs to do something and requires new biochemical apparatus, to do the something. Vit D the molecule is only used once, by our cell, and is then destroyed in the cell. The Vit D deficiency ‘theory’ explains why dark skin Americans have three times the death rate from covid than white skin people.
10,000 Genes are known to be activated by Vit D. We know what about 200 do. All of the research money has gone to finding manmade chemicals to treat the chronic ‘diseases’ that are caused by the Vit D deficiency.
Ivermectin will suddenly be discovered by the Medical Industry because they do not want the Vit D lie to be found out. … When there is panic about the vaccines failing for some people and when the third and fourth vaccinations start to have more side effects. It is amazing how long the Vit D lie has lasted.
Comment: The medical industry has created genetically altered mice that cannot produce Vit D. These mice have no immune system response and are used for experiments where vaccine like entities are injected into to genetically modify the mice’s cell’s without an immune system interference.
Our system is so corrupt and ‘institutionalized’ stupid that our system is not correcting the general population’s Vit D deficiency. People who are not deficient, in both Vit D and Zinc, are naturally protected, from covid and all other viruses that must connect to the ACE-2 connect. Evolution would and did pick a simple biochemical way to protect the cells and organs from all viruses that must connect to the ACE-2 connector to replicate. If covid cannot replicate it cannot hurt us.
310
You are correct in your line of thought in that other events will come into play, such as a complete collapse in our financial system, sky rocketing food prices due to massive food shortages leading to mass starvation, civil violence uprising leading to more restrictions, etc. These and more are going to come together and create the perfect storm, which doesn’t happen too often throughout history. Governments will retaliate in the only way they can; by extreme force.
Yes, the systems of government, health, education, MSM and social media companies are all so corrupted it’s not possible for the typical person on the street to know the truth. Lies have become the norm now and it’s becoming more widespread. Even some doctors are now lying to us about ivermectin and other treatments to combat successfully COVID-19.
I take the view that when I see a main stream politician open his or her mouth and speaks, I only hear lies. Even the recent announcement about the dumping of the French subs and taking on board nuclear powered subs is a lie. We will never get those subs unless and until we have our own nuclear industry including nuclear power plants. Perhaps we will eventually but it will require bipartisan support. That’s not going to happen with the likes of the ALP and Greens still around.
170
Thanks W A,
Great summary of the importance and functions of vitamin D.
Just the other day I saw someone saying that a blood level of 80 ng/ml was recommended for security against COVID. The number I’d previously been working towards was just 60 ng/ml. And that speaker also emphasised that it’s a one use substance, so needs constant replacement.
Even Fauci was taking 9,000 IU per day at one point earlier this year.
Cheers

Most people like likely only survive 4 shots at which point thier immune systems will be gone….and at that point they release designer pathogen 2.0 and it will finish the job…
160
Yes, that’s one likely scenario but perhaps they won’t need to release another designer pathogen. One could come about naturally. After all, super viruses do happen on occasion. We haven’t had one recently but if we ever do then billions will die, and the COVID-19 vaccinated ones possibly will suffer the most deaths due to their “broken” immune system.

Why would I take a pill, red or otherwise, without knowing what it has in it. After all, many on this site are using that as a reason not to get vaccinated.

Use of the Anti-Parasitic Drug Ivermectin to Treat Breast Cancer
Oncology Times: May 5, 2021 – Volume 43 – Issue 9 – p 10
https://journals.lww.com/oncology-times/fulltext/2021/05050/use_of_the_anti_parasitic_drug_ivermectin_to_treat.4.aspx
Amazing ivermectin.
240
Travis…
This is unbelievable and evil. Based on animal studies Ivermectin might be super effective against breast cancer. The current breast cancer drugs are not effective. This stinks and I would like to know more.
It appears, Pfizer purchased the rights to Ivermectin,…. …. and then ensured Ivermectin was used primarily (did not test for other applications) in third world countries and animals to hide Ivermectin’s super effectiveness at stopping viruses from replicating and possibly for breast cancer treatment.
When Pfizer had the rights to Ivermectin… … Pfizer did not do the basic engineering to find a work around to the fact that Ivermectin is not water soluble. That property of the chemical is likely the reason why it so bio effective. Insolubility severely (factor of 8 theoretically) limits a drug’s maximum bio effectiveness and it forces higher dosages. There is a version of Ivermectin which a company has been trying to sell to the majors that is roughly 8 times more bio-effective that standard Ivermectin because of its packaging. In the drug industry the Ivermectin insolubility problem and solution has been know for at least five years. This is not even new technology or high tech. This drug packaging that considers safety and effective of the drug delivered.
Ivermectin is not being used now because Ivermectin is too good. i.e. Ivermectin would if it was optimized and used now reduce health care costs. It so unfair.
“Our team then tested the combination across a spectrum of clinically relevant settings. We found that the therapeutic combination also worked in neoadjuvant models (before surgery) and adjuvant models (after surgery). Most importantly, the combination worked against metastatic breast cancer, potentially curing 50 percent of animals.”
150
Hold everyone’s horses…….
Could it be the reason Ivermectin works is there is an introduced parasite within the “virus” itself? like a chimera virus/parasite?
Has anyone looked at that?
60
Perhaps it’s because COVID-19 patients have more pathogenic bacteria in their noses as it was recently discovered. Su much is unknown.

Ivermectin works to stop both parasites and covid because it binds to viruses that must connect to our cell’s ACE-2 connector to replicate. Ivermectin is super effective at stopping viruses likely because of it chemical properties.
Covid cannot ‘evolve’/change the biochemical part of the virus that connects to the ACE-2 cell because covid must connect to our ACE-2 connector to replicate. If covid cannot replicate it cannot hurt us.
This is a link to a company that has paid to have a third party independent level 4 lab to test a version of Ivermectin that has been modified to work around the fact that Ivermectin is not water soluble. This modified version of Ivermectin is roughly 8 times more bioeffective than the standard non-soluble version of Covid.

TORONTO, ON – May 18, 2021 – Mountain Valley MD Holdings Inc. (the “Company” or “MVMD”) (CSE: MVMD) (FRA:20MP) is pleased to announce it has received its thirdparty Bio Safety Level 4 (“BSL-4”) lab study results from its recent COVID-19 viral clearance study conducted with its solubilized Ivermectin technology – Ivectosol™. Study Results
• A single dose of 2.5 milligrams per kilogram of Ivectosol™ was effective at interfering with viral replication and driving viral clearance of the B.1.1.7 COVID19 variant.
• Tests done in vitro showed the same antiviral effect at 5uM Ivectosol™ concentration after 24 hours and again after 48 hours against all three COVID-19 variants tested – the original B.1.1.7 variant, the South African B.1.351 variant, and the P.1 Brazil variant.
“This is the validation of our Ivectosol™ technology that we were looking for in its direct application to stop the replication of the targeted COVID-19 variants,” stated Dennis Hancock, President and CEO of Mountain Valley MD. “Knowing that Ivectosol™ has viral clearance effect on the three targeted variants we tested in the strictest lab environment in the world provides us with the confidence to pursue immediate human applications.
We plan to progress quickly into phase one human trials to support our vision for broad adoption and to also provide necessary and urgent support for the most disadvantaged communities globally.” The BSL-4 study was the first of its kind ever conducted with human grade solubilized Ivermectin anywhere in the world.
This was also the world’s first to study to conduct in vitro replication on all three COVID-19 variants studied. The study was conducted in a Bio Safety Level 4 facility where laboratories are designed for diagnostic work and research on easily acquired respiratory viruses that can often cause severe or fatal disease.

As you say redress, if that is true along with the disgraceful behaviour of the police with the lady at the rally, it could very well be “the straw that breaks the camels back”.
Some journalist has just been presented with a “Watergate” opportunity to make their career. Prove what that nurse is saying as correct and they will become a hero overnight.

I agree RossP. These rumours are popping up more frequently but I suspect the story would be spiked and the ambitious journalist told to sling his hook, after all Greg Hunt who’d mailed every practising GP a reminder ivermectin could be prescribed, has been brought to heel. What a dismal nation we’ve become. And all this under the shadow of looming war.

Redress, these rumors are popping up in a number of places. Sadly they are not easy to dismiss.
Would people stoop so low? Answer: the same people support “vaccine passports” despite the [vaccines, please use english] being unable to prevent transmission. People like that could stoop to anything.
In Florida, over 50% of people seeking Monoclonal Antibody treatment for the Fauci Flu are “fully vaccinated”. Clearly the “fully vaccinated” can get very ill when infected.
So if we see an unusually high survival rate for the “fully vaccinated” being hospitalized compared to the unjabbed, out of line with other nations, then there is the strong possibility that Ivermectin is being selectivly used to prop up the failing [vaccines].
90
So far in 2021, there has been 300k Covid deaths in the USA. A total of 3,040 of those deaths had at least 1 jab. On those numbers, the vaccinations are 99 times more effective in preventing death than no vaccination.
Florida how has an infection rate under 1 but deaths among younger, unvaccinated people is still quite high:

Consider this…….The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these Men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy… but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the Men who just wanted to be left alone.” – Author Unknown

BREAKING: FDA Panel Overwhelmingly Rejects Pfizer Booster for Healthy People 16 and Older
The 16 – 2 vote came after a sharp debate in which many of the panel’s independent experts, including infectious disease doctors and statisticians, challenged whether the data justified a broad rollout of extra shots when the vaccines appear to still offer robust protection against severe COVID-19 disease and hospitalization.

TWO AMERICAS: “On Saturday in New York City you needed a vaccine passport to eat in a restaurant or grab a drink in a bar, work out in a gym, go to a movie, or attend any sporting event. Just four hours to the west nearly 110,000 maskless Penn State Nittany Lion fans who had to provide no health records to anyone to attend the game reveled in their school’s biggest football game in two years, packed as close together as possible all clad in white in one of the great football cathedrals of this country. Watch this video and tell me which America you want to live in, the one where you have freedom and embrace life or the one where you either bow down to the authoritarian whims of a group of leaders who don’t even follow their own rules or have no ability to do anything.”
Related: A Defense of ‘Barstool’ Conservatives. “At college football games across the country the past two weekends, student sections erupted in ‘F— Joe Biden’ chants. Thousands of unruly fans expressing their discontent with the president packed Alabama, Tennessee, Indiana, and dozens of other football stadiums. Many conservatives I know found it impossibly crude. Others found it amusing. They all missed the point: The chanting did more to break the progressive narrative on campus than God and Man at Yale ever did.”
Like Jimmy Carter, Joe Biden is proving to be a brilliant salesman for limited government.

In Open Sunday (post before this) RickWill says “My eldest son had bouts of shingles after each Moderna jab – lives in the UK.” And then on last night’s MSM news there was a doctor here in Australia talking about the increase in Shingles since Covid, which he attributed to the stress caused by the pandemic. Hmmmm stress or “vaccine”? Could be both, but good that it was on the news. ToM

Definitely a side effect of the vaccine.

Saw something the other day about research at the Francis Crick Institute showing the mrna shot suppressing the CD8+ T cells and weakening immune responses to other viruses.

I have read or heard videos indicar=ting that but I don’t know the details. I think Dr Ryan Cole has alluded to that, as has Geertvan den Boschh. But, hey they just experts in their fields. What would they know / ////
80
Shingles and chicken pox are the product of a particular herpes virus. Kids get chicken pox. The virus can then remain inactive for years in the body . When the immune system has been “disturbed” the virus reactivates and presents its self as shingles in adults.
90
There is a shinkles vaccine now that my wife has taken because her mother had bouts of shingles in her latter years. My oldest son no shingles vaccination and has suffered chicken pox as a child.
13
Shingles is a vaccine side effect. You mentioned a bout of it after each shot.
Please don’t let him get a booster
10
Shingles is one of the numerous identified side effects of the various vaccines. The Moderna and Pfizer seem more likely to produce shingles.
33
I’ve also seen mentioned the people with shingles have it wiped out, as collateral damage, from taking IVM.

Love the Babylon Bee and all the other satirical tweeters and bloggers. Titania McGrath is another- it’s amazing how many people will read them and think they are serious. Even on this blog. I now have the rule, which is similar to the military. Totally disbelieve first reports. Yesterday was another example. There’s been lots of media coverage of people on beaches in Sydney lately. You know – how dare they go to the beach without a mask – etc, etc, etc? Even. to the point of calling them all selfish eastern suburbs types. ( vs Western suburbs). Not to be outdone someone yesterday posted a very crowded photo of Brighton beach in Victoria- with similar comments. For example – why haven’t the police done something about this -etc etc. Clearly the photo was taken in summer and if anyone knows Melbourne , Brighton is one of the more well – to- do type suburbs.

Dan assures us that its “simple” to do database lookups from diverse State based apps to the Medicare system to get accurate and timely responses (assuming the Medicare system is updated in an accurate and timely way)
I am sure the Medicare system is well set up to handle million of extra transactions everyday as people check into everyday activities mandated for vaccination checking.
It will be fine.
80
Yes – this thought crossed my mind when Premier Andrews was describing this marriage between the federal health database and the state vaccine passport app, on Sunday. Would it not be simpler to have a once-only download of a vaccine tick to your device(s), or something similar to that?
16
Or none at all. And just get back to letting patients have choice of treatments with their doctors instead of setting up a polarising and medically unjustifiable invasive system.

Another problem is that in Victoria you can sign in as Humphrey Bear with phone number 0123456789.

Newspoll: Gap closes on lifting coronavirus restrictions
A slim majority of Australians still backs state government-imposed restrictions to stop the spread of Covid-19 amid a narrowing of the gap with those who say they should be lifted for the sake of preserving jobs, the economy and mental health.
Support for NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s handling of the pandemic has fallen dramatically, while Victorians still strongly back Premier Daniel Andrews’s management of the Delta crisis.
An exclusive Newspoll for The Australian shows 53 per cent of voters remain concerned about governments moving too quickly to lift restrictions at the risk of spreading the virus through the community.
But as the country moves to reaching full vaccination among those eligible by November, 42 per cent of voters now say they are more concerned about moving too slowly to lift restrictions and the impacts that will have on jobs, the economy and people’s mental wellbeing.
Opinion over Covid-19 restrictions has shifted markedly since the height of the pandemic in May last year when 72 per cent of voters claimed to be more concerned about moving too quickly to open up compared to 24 per cent who maintained an opposing view.
Voters in NSW, Victoria and Queensland still broadly support the actions of their premiers in managing the pandemic but at lower levels than those at the height of the first wave last year.
Confidence in Scott Morrison’s handling of the pandemic has also fallen sharply, with the community now deeply divided over his management of the crisis.
Ms Berejiklian, who was accused of moving too slowly to impose lockdowns at the start of the NSW Delta outbreak, has suffered the most significant fall in support among the east coast premiers in the handling of the crisis.

Nothing has been extinguished. There will be properly run state elections and a federal one in the next year or so, and the robustness of our democracy will be demonstrated yet again.
And the mass of people (a) will be fully vaccinated, and (b) will happily show their vaccine passport in order to get back to a close version of “normality”. I expect most people will grab the passport with both hands – they will recognise it is their ticket to freedom, not to enslavement.
It has been (and continues to be) a public health emergency that have caused governments to work very hard – and interact with bureaucrats and other elected people much more than they used to.
It’s quite possible that very good things will come out of this, going forward. Plus human decency and reason remain in good shape.
024
Yes, and if Australians were given access to a real conversation instead of a heavily filtered one, and they had choice of medication, how many would have willing consented?
If the vaccines were so good, they wouldnt need to go nuclear on doctors or on great medical influences like… seriously… Guy Sebastian for saying something so banal.
Their behaviour says so much more than their words.
170
Yeah … I think about the effectiveness and longevity of my AZ vaccination, and how well it deals with variants, but I don’t think it’s going to kill me in the next year or two – that is just anti-vax porn without substance.
I also wonder whether IVM might have some benefit – but despite being involved and interested, and a big reader, none of the evidence stacks up very well so far. In fact it’s the reverse – the more credible writing tends to debunk IVM effectiveness.
But the data is in – being vaccinated and over 60 – your chances of catching a serious bout of Covid-19 drops close to zero – good enough for me.
But my broader point is – dealing with a public health emergency is not a ruse for stripping the people of their freedoms, and enslaving them under The Great Reset … that meme is getting really old and tired – and wasn’t ever very credible to begin with.

FDA Committee Discussion Opines Men Under 40 at Greater Risk of Vaccine-Related Myocarditis than COVID Itself.
In a stark admission which has been drowned out by attempts to make the panels decision reflect well upon the Biden administration, an FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research advisory panel discussion declared that the risk of myocarditis being higher than COVID-19 in males under the age of 40. The assertion was predicated upon public health claims data cited by Dr. Doran Fink of the FDA, who implored Pfizer to take a greater initiative to examine this very issue. Given this profound point of demarcation, this topic of discussion during the FDA advisory panel’s meeting offers greater insight into the limited scope of the authorization of booster shots.
Though the determination of the risk of vaccine-associated myocarditis being greater than COVID-19 itself applied to men under 40, publicly available data from the CDC released in June reflects that young men between 16 and 30 years old accounted for the highest volume of preliminary reports citing this side effect.
Along with pericarditis, myocarditis has been one of the more glaring side effects of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved by the FDA to be produced under the brand-name Comirnaty. This cause for concern was motive enough for the FDA to add a warning to the vaccines regarding these side effects in June, well-after its initial emergency use declaring them “safe and effective” was issued. As of September 10, cases of myocarditis and pericarditis made up 5,765 of the 701,559 reports of adverse events made to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). Additionally, heart attacks account for another 6,637 adverse events made to VAERS.
According to Pfizer, potential side effects from potential booster shots are likely to occur at a rate similar to those following the second dose of their vaccine. When referring to the aforementioned CDC data set, instances of pericarditis and myocarditis were more exponentially more prominent following the second dose of the vaccine than the first. The mounting evidence of the risk of heart-related severe adverse events from all COVID-19 vaccines seems to have been a clear influence of the panels 16-3 against authorizing booster shots for those under the age of 65, given the context of the committee discussion on this very issue.

Meanwhile – WILL “GREEN” ENERGY DESTROY EUROPE?
One of today’s most important, and weirdly under-reported, news stories is the economic crisis that threatens Great Britain and, more broadly, Europe. Its most striking current manifestation is a food shortage in the U.K.
Acute food shortages were feared last night after high gas prices forced most of Britain’s commercial production of carbon dioxide to shut down.
Emergency talks were being held between government officials and food producers, retailers and the energy industry….
The closure of two fertiliser plants in northern England and others in Europe has left the food and drink industry facing a shortage of carbon dioxide, which is a byproduct of fertiliser manufacturing. The gas is critical to the production and transport of a range of products, from meat to bread, beer and fizzy drinks.
The fertilizer plants shut down because of sky-high energy costs:
Gas prices in Britain hit record highs this week on fears of energy supply shortages in the winter.
The CO2 shortage piles further pressure on a food sector already struggling with a shortage of haulers. Companies have warned they may have to cut back the range of products on supermarket shelves in the run-up to Christmas.
Nick Allen, chief executive of the British Meat Processors Association, said the CO2 shortage spelled a mounting animal welfare crisis, warning that more than 200,000 pigs would soon be crammed onto farms because farmers had been unable to send them to slaughter.
“It’s the most awful situation to find yourself in,” Allen said. “For these plants to be allowed to close overnight and land us with this problem, I find that a little bit shocking.”

Thinking of my mother yesterday who lived in London all through the war including, of course, the Blitz (my father was away in the Navy), she experienced all the horrors that wartime brings. My father apparently said that he thought my mother may well have seen more action than he did. Ever-present danger, severe rationing, escape to shelters at a moment’s notice, fear for family and friends, very limited freedom, but being pre-children it reduced her anxiety somewhat, and I thought that this is similar to what we’re experiencing now, BUT, in wartime Britain they were all pulling together. We’re not.
We’re not even sure who our enemy is. Certainly a large proportion of the medical profession and Medical Authorities appear to be working against our greater good and definitely the Governments on all levels. I thought they kept telling us “we’re all in this together”. Where is that being shown? When police push an older lady to the ground and spray her like a cockroach? When employers tell you that if you want to keep your job you have to have an experimental biological agent injected into you? When people are encouraged by Government to turn on each other because of the choices they’ve made when we’ve been told to make an informed choice? Where’s the full information? When one feels that full information is not forthcoming, one resists. When we’re locked down in our homes for weeks on end, where being outside in the fresh air is a far safer place to be? Where our children’s education is taking a hammering? Where businesses are going to the wall due to lockdown lack of patronage? Are they kidding? As Doctor Zelenko has said, “there are two main problems that we experience with Covid, the Government we live under and the doctor we choose”. ToM

One aspect of the CMFEU attacks on the union office today in Melbourne is that they proved they were not wimps as they made out last week when it was suggested they should not hide in nice warm tea rooms for smoko.

Hollywood tells America: WEAR THE MASK. Meanwhile, tonight at the #Emmys2021
The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards were held in downtown Los Angeles Sunday evening and, from the way TV’s liberal elite acted, the Wuhan coronavirus is apparently over.
In a crowded room, there wasn’t a mask in sight as TV’s alleged greatest packed around dinner tables with inches between them in the “outdoor” ballroom that definitely had four walls and some sort of roof. Dancing together, singing, shaking hands, and kissing cheeks made it seem like a replay of the 2019 Emmys when no one knew what a Wuhan was.
190
I thought it was pretty bad optics myself. Even with the attendees having to be vaccinated and have a negative test. But I’m not surprised – the industry has been hit hard by the pandemic and they see it as their role to tell “America” it’s all over!
It might not have worked – at least according to twitter reports. A lot of regular punters out there are not happy that they and their kids have mandated masks, but the “liberal elites” are exempt.
California is still reporting ~4000 new cases per day.

California’s infection rate is now hovering around 1 but was under 1 for the first two weeks of September. The last thing they need is a major spreader event. Death rate is still climbing: in the post vaccination wave:

California will rely on natural immunity to get to herd immunity with full mobility given that well under 80% of the population has been fully vaccinated.
06
Two choices for California
“One path has led one of the wealthiest nations in the world with an alleged “excellent” health care system taking a huge spike in infections in the middle of the summer when, according to JAMA, we should have enough immunity among the population (83% as of May) that said spike was impossible. But it happened and that it did is extremely strong evidence that the jabs are at best worthless and might, in some cases, be making the infection worse.
The other path led a state (of a larger nation) with a per-capita GDP one-sixtieth of the United States, a nation where the median annual per-capita income is approximately $1,000 US, where more than forty percent of all city dwellers live in poverty — a state of 241 million people all packed together with no money, and no resources — Satan’s Kitchen for a pandemic virus where in May the media was lamenting that they literally had nothing available in the way of hospital resources — today sitting with fewer than 200 active cases of Covid-19.“

Viewers Rage at Maskless Emmys: ‘But Kids Have to Wear a Mask to School. What the F**k’
Hollywood celebrities went maskless Sunday at the 73rd annual Emmy Awards as millions of children are being forced to wear masks in school.
Stars were packed close together into an enclosed space at the Event Deck at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, with other celebrities congregating at an indoor venue in London.
The site of maskless celebrities socializing in close proximity indoors provoked social media outrage, with some noting that children across the country are being forced to wear masks in schools despite millions being vaccinated.

Sharri Markson of SKY Australia is due to air a one hour expose on Fauci’s direct involvement in gain-of-function research in cooperation with the Chinese military at Wuhan, funding at least 60 projects via the back door to circumvent the US ban on GOF research.
She states that in 2012 Fauci wrote a paper wherein he argued that GOF research on Coronaviruses was “worth the risk of a pandemic”. This is the man who is still directing US health policy. Criminal.
She interviews Trump and Pompeo regarding their knowledge of Fauci’s independent activities which he kept secret from his bosses, the Secretary of Health and the President.

Why the Huge Illegal Alien Camp Formed in Del Rio
A surprising explanation from the migrants
To find the answer, this writer came to Ciudad Acuna, the city through which the migrants had passed to form the encampment and asked several dozen of them what happened.
The surprising answer, which the migrants provided independently in different places and at different times, was universal: on Sunday, September 12, the Mexican government effectively sent a mass of migrants it had bottled up for months in its southern states up to the American border. This move, which appears to have been done under the cover of Mexico’s independence week of celebration known as El Grito, essentially foisted a humanitarian problem onto the Americans in a single week.
A quick background is necessary to understand what the migrants were saying. In short, when it was newly installed in January, the Biden administration began to pressure Mexico to maintain and use its National Guard and immigration bureaucracy to slow the flow of expected caravans and of tens of thousands of Haitians and other migrants coming in from all over the world. This was a fairly quiet diplomatic campaign, and it coincided with billions in promised U.S. aid and other benefits such as covid vaccines. It was a different approach from the Trump style of threatening to damage the Mexican economy with tariffs unless the leadership slowed U.S.-bound illegal immigration coming through Guatemala.
In response to Biden’s softer approach with gifts, Mexico apparently responded with a lighter version of a Trump-era tactic, which was to require that migrants entering from Guatemala be held in the southern state of Chiapas, in the border city of Tapachula, until they applied for and obtained temporary legal permits. National Guard roadblocks reinforced the policy.
Another Haitian who wrote his name as Donley Vainqueur, said he and his family were forced to wait in Tapachula for months, applying for what he termed “passports” to the rest of Mexico. He said every day he would go to immigration to check on the status of his application.
Then, all of a sudden one day last week when he went to check, “They [Mexican immigration officials in Tapachula] said, ‘okay, you can cross for three days because of the days of festivities.’”
Why Del Rio and not other, more trammeled parts of the Texas-Mexico border?
Cheap and safe with no heavy cartel oppression or smuggling fees
The reason, according to the migrants CIS interviewed, the Mexican cartels in this city do not involve themselves in human smuggling as they do in other parts of northern Mexico. Migrants who get to Acuna are free to cross themselves over the river without paying a tax or smuggling fee to ruthless Mexican cartels, with no fear of violent retribution for doing so on their own.
These accounts square with prior CIS reporting from the area in the spring of 2021, which found that immigrants who were increasingly arriving in Del Rio had already probed other areas from California to Texas but that fear and price-sensitivity led them to Del Rio. Word obviously has spread.
The migrants CIS spoke to all said they had heard from friends, relatives, and acquaintances on social media and by word of mouth that they didn’t have to pay anything to cross the Rio Grande here.

So basically Trump was right again. The whole US/Mexican border issue is obviously a very complicated problem. Trump’s solution was simple and effective because at the end of the day he had to attempt to guard his nation’s sovereignty. Hence, to the Mexican govt – get your act together or you will be punished. Also, build a damn wall. Same thing said to Taliban regarding Afghan withdrawal. Under his terms , you mess up we (the US) will punish you big time. In comes Biden with a nuanced approach to both situations and guess what? It all gets ignored. But we don’t get any mean tweets.

I am staggered that people who have had the virus and survived, even one entire Melbourne family with the mother in hospital for 3 days and father for 5 days are being told they must be vaccinated? Can anyone explain why? What greater immunity can you get than surviving the real thing?
And they are told they have to wait 6 months so they can be vaccinated? This isn’t immunology. This is a cult.
It’s getting really silly too in Europe. A young Russian couple I know travel widely and have had the virus. Now they have had to get vaccinated to get a vaccine passport so they can travel. Getting the real virus is no longer good enough protection against the virus?
200
Just lazy public servants. They have one system, and dont want to have to think about another approach that would just add complexity and work.

You mean VicStasi Public servants might have to do a day’s work and go back into an Office – “Quelle Horreur”

This is what you get when you submit to the mask mandates from the beginning. Frogs in a warming pan. Truth is outlawed, because outlaws are in charge.
You are being told what to do by outlaws, pure and simple.

As far as I can see Australia has again outdone itself in the stupid stakes.
It is the only country insane enough to have banned medical practitioners from prescribing Ivermectin for Covid-19.
As TdeF said above, this is a cult. It is no longer enough science.
Australia has and will pay a very heavy price for its utter subservience to the UN and WHO. Whether it be economic destruction due to following the anthropogenic global warming fraud or economic and social destruction and death due to covid mismanagement.
130
Perhaps it reveals the real underlying Australian culture that we haven’t as yet lost the jailer mentality of the old colonial days. I’ve worked in the US a couple of decades ago and even back then I found most managers there very friendly and helpful. Here it’s the opposite – they tend to be little hitlers and act like prison wardens. There was one exception and she was South African.

“Can anyone explain why? What greater immunity can you get than surviving the real thing?”
The first thing to realise is that the entire governmental response to Covid has nothing to do with the health of the people.
Lengthy lockdowns, for instance, while having no real impact on the eventual spread of the virus, have a strong destructive impact on the health and well-being of the people.
The complete lack of government advice on maintaining a strong immune system is another sign that health is not the aim.
Get out of the parks and off the virus-free beaches and lock yourself inside where the virus loves to play is the very inversion of healthy advice.
And so having had Covid and recovered, giving one a strong immunity, is of no interest to the authorities who insist on the vaccination.
If health were the aim, of course post-Covid vaccination would be discouraged, but the vaccination appears to be a desired end in itself.
You simply MUST get the jab – nothing less will suffice.
You are right about this being a “cult” – you chose the title – far left Globalism, Communism, totalitarianism, Fascism.
140
The complete lack of government advice on maintaining a strong immune system is another sign that health is not the aim.
That is one of the things that has enraged me most. Those with “positive” results are sent home with nil advice on treatment to help themselves. Not even a suggestion for anti-histamines, aspirin et al to combat possible inflammatory responses and/or blood clotting. Let alone protocol of VitD, Vit C, Quercetin, & Zinc. And NONE of these are forbidden as is the “terrible” Ivermectin!
If one was writing a script for a movie or a novel…. this would definitely indicate the “Conspiracy” theories they all think we are conjuring up. The truth is stranger than fiction!

“The complete lack of government advice on maintaining a strong immune system is another sign that health is not the aim.”
It’s all about getting the dose into your arm, nothing at all matters.

I can assure you that “globalism” is very much the exclusive child of capitalism – in fact unions around the world have tried to resist the destruction of jobs in higher-wage countries, as they have been off-shored to the Third World. In fact, total production capacity has been off-shored to China, Mexico, Bangladesh, and many similar places.
I don’t think car-makers, clothing companies, white goods, TV, and equipment companies can be described as “far left”. Under capitalism, investment, plant, and labour go where the profits are best, and regulation is the weakest.
And we live in a liberal parliamentary democracy – we have regular elections, and governing parties change reasonably frequently. If that is a “cult”, I’m good with it. the leaders and public servants trying to manage the pandemic aren’t perfect, but they do live or die ultimately via the ballot box.
The “cult” is claiming it’s totalitarianism – couldn’t be further from the truth.
00
I still haven’t been able to get to the truth about people who are reported as dead due to the COVID-19 as mostly unvaccinated. It is common practice in other areas that a person isn’t considered fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after the second shot, or partially vaccinated until 2 weeks after the first shot. So how do we know the people reported as unvaccinated are not in fact vaccinated recently?
140
Peter more importantly what are the Vitamin D levels of people admitted to Hospital in Australia with Covid
90
USA has recorded 300k deaths in 2021. Among those deaths, 3040 had been vaccinated:
https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/health-departments/breakthrough-cases.html
Your risk of dying from Covid is roughly 99:1 unvaccinated to vaccinated. The risk of dying from Covid is 1 in 99. So having the vaccination lowers the risk of dying to something like 1/10,000 on average. Are you average? There is tremendous merit in getting vaccinated.

Anybody notice that Sky News reported a non violent rally at the CFMEU headquarters of construction workers opposed to a vaccine mandate? Credlin was keen to point out that this contrasted with the weekend contest between protesters and the police. The ABC, however, showed what actually happened (amazingly): a violent protest against the CFMEU with rocks hurled at the windows.
Can we trust Right or Left with the facts these days? Apparently not.
However, I am pleased to find out, via the ABC, that “the workers” (unlike the meek and mild in white collar jobs) are not about to tolerate blatant discrimination regarding personal medical procedures. Good for them.

l had not much to do today as we are locked down again so l actually watched the whole event
it was mostly a quiet day except for two incidences at the front of the office
the first being when the union leaders, John Sedka came out to talk to the crowd of protesters and were told what the protesters were unhappy with, they went inside the building to address the problems,
the guys came back after a while asking the crowd to take their grievances to parliament to protest but the crowd wanted to be led by their union leader John Sedka who was a no show
the second incident and worst was after the agreed to a one hour wait for the union representatives who did not come back as agreed but it was found out that there leader John SetKa was on local radio saying he did not know what the protesters wanted and that the protesters were not union members but agitators and extremists, you can tell these guys are very frustrated tradie’s, union members who do not want the jab,
most are wearing union jumpers ect…
its all in the link below if you want to flick through you will see the protesters were in good spirits but wanted the backing of their union and to be heard, it got very ugly because of a no response and betrayal in the end
l think the response from the police was fair although l do not agree with our police shooting at the public for any reason, even with rubber bullets
the bad incident starts to happen at before 3:40

FDA experts have unexpectedly voted against approving Covid-19 vaccination boosters for anyone over the age of 16 in the USA, citing a lack of long term data and stating that the risks do not outweigh any benefits because the Covid-19 vaccines are killing at least 2 people for every 1 life saved.
