    Seen a few people that claim to be refusing to wear masks also, announce that a Christian faith is holding them together during the pandemic. Am wondering how these people interpret Leviticus 13:45 in general for infectious disease. Not just Skin diseases. Am wondering what type of faith encourages them to do the opposite of the bit i bolded below.

          It is very obvious from places like Singapore where people rebelled against both the WHO and their own government instruction not to wear masks that things went better. Then when the situation reversed and the WHO and Singapore government directed masks should be worn that things went even better again.

          It can also be seen from Israel that when the mask mandate was dropped for ten days the cases began a very rapid climb. Then after they were reintroduced the doubling rate though still strong was reduced from then on.

            Yeah heres the thing…I have long suspected that the “figures” have been altered to suit the agenda of the day. There appears there is no chain of custody especially in the Chinese Protectorate of Victoria, the end result being that the figures are likely complete fabrications with little or no transparency.

            But there is this elephant in the room of the reality that covid itself has a 99.x % recovery rate , so why the lockdowns etc?

            Siliggy: Everything you noted may be true. But it is all based on the assumption one variable is responsible for the effect. Are there possibly other factors at play? The late Rush Limbaugh used to say, “Almost everyone who dies has eaten green peas in the last six month.” I understand this virus is 0.1 microns and an N-95 mask will filter 0.3 microns; the masks people are being told they must wear will filter 10 to 20 microns and that does not consider the bandanas people like to wear. You do the math. Even at that, if they are not perfectly sealed on the face they are useless. I ask people wearing masks how big this killer virus is, they don’t know what I’m talking about, but they will fight you to the death defending the need to wear one.

              The math at the individual level is all about wind velocity on the exhale. Not particle size on the inhale. The mask as a strategy for the community spread reduction is not for the individual protection of the wearer at all. So the math needs to show assistance to the overall aim of getting Re or as i prefer to use λ below 1. Both Re and λ asmyptote at 1.

              The aim of “flattening the curve” at 1 or just above is pure evil designed to fail by perpetuating the endless struggle for longer than forever. The result of aiming for “flattening the curve” is failure after battle fatigue.

              The aim that can quickly bring freedom from endless lockdowns and mask wearing etc is
              to get Re or λ well below 1 and keep it there until incoming quarantine from failed states takes over. The time it takes to reach freedom exponentially shortens as λ goes down toward zero.

              1000 infected people becomes only 900 after one time iteration at λ = 0.9. Then that 900 becomes 810 etc for many iterations until contact tracing and quarantine turn the exponential decline into a more rapid stop.

              Lowering the λ to say 0.362 with 1000 infected will result in 362 being infected after just one time iteration. After the next time iteration it is down fast to 132 people. at which point the contact tracing and isolation etc are having a dramatic effect on steepening the exponential decline. It is all over quickly.

              If wearing a mask did not slow the exhale wind velocity from unknowingly infected people then how could sail boats ever work with cloth sails? While they may not prevent infection they only need to delay the average rate a few days to assist the larger aim.

              More math. A wise government that was truly seeking to get Re or λ down might encourage ivermectin or neem as prophylaxis and teach the public to get some limited midday UV on their skin etc. They might get the seasonal peak of variable λ down to 1.1 but that would fail. With the addition of mask wearing for the temporary elimination exercise λ and or Re could go below 1. But getting it down further ends it all sooner. From there incoming quarantine from states of failure is still required unless methods to keep λ below 1 without inconvenience or risk are used. Vaccines, aka experimental micro clot shots are not required. We just need to learn to live without it.

                Good morning Siliggy, read your comments last night (twice) and must say I had never thought of “wind velocity on the exhale” or comparing that to a function of a sailboat. You obviously are a deep thinker, much deeper than I. However, I will dance with you on this topic for a few words.
                If I understand your point, a person at rest would emit fewer viruses than a person who just came up a flight of stairs or was jogging. As a sailboat would be stationary in the doldrums and moving swiftly in a Cat5. And wearing a mask does nothing for the wearer but protests persons around the wearer. And inhaling through a porous mask will protest you because the velocity is low. Must admit this is something to consider.
                I had a business associate, many years ago, who’s favorite saying was, “IF you can’t dazzle them with your brilliance, dazzle them with your BS.” Considering you are not a BS’er, I will yield to your brilliance. Reading your comment reminded me of a seminar I attended given by Westinghouse Electric on the design of very large electric motors. The PhD that made the presentation spent hours discussing impedance curves, magnetic centers and other involved design concepts. Everyone’s eyes glazed over, and he spent the afternoon talking to himself, which he was very content to do.
                Your math is your math. How many projects have look great on paper, only to turn out less than expected? Paralysis by analyses!
                But I enjoy reading your work and will watch for you in the future. Now, it is time for me to move on to Monday. Take care.

                The analysis from Sliggy has some merit.
                Not mentioned but adding to the argument would be proper use of the equations which quantify fluid flows.

                Note, there are non-linear relationships. At the quite small dimensions of concern here some aspects change in importance. In particular, surface tension and electrostatic forces. Both of these would when properly considered make fluid flow slower than if human scale dimensions were simply linearly extrapolated.

                Nevertheless, I prefer to rely on the ‘macro’ studies which indicate no discernible effect from mask wearing.

                So the mask won’t reduce the amount virus, but it will slow it down. Interesting, but how does that help? If I am (unknowningly) shedding virus at the supermarket, the same number of particles end up in the air. They are denser than air, but they won’t just drop to the floor like so many tennis balls. There is a huge buoyancy effect and they will linger, going both upwards and downwards on air currents. Whatever velocity I may have given them will be irrelevant in less than a second.

                Indeed, won’t slowing them down tend to leave them all in a smaller bundle leaving a more concentrated dose for the person pushing the trolley behind mine?

        How much faith does it take to protect the elderly and vulnerable from spraying your own coughs and sneezes onto them?
        I think it requires a whole lot less than praying for their healing after the damage is done.

            Covid-19 is very different to the flu. People with flu are generally feeling wretched straight away, and there is a lot of social pressure to not go your workplace, on public transport, or any situation with crowds.

            However with the coronavirus, you might be highly infectious despite having only tiny symptoms, and none at all … that is the point of testing and contact-tracing.

            And masks work.

              Just so you understand, I wasn’t anti-mask when CoVid effects were unknown and quite deadly. Now that we have treatments for CoVid (ivermectin etc.) and it has hopefully mutated down to something like the flu in terms of fatality rates, I worry about a precedent being set. If masks continue to be mandated for CoVid, then the same would apply to the flu. Except that means masks for 4 months of the year indefinitely.

              Not a viable solution.

          Siliggy, you still haven’t said what you know about faith. Most people have faith in something but don’t call it faith. If you trust your decisions about your health on the governments directives, you are putting your faith in their judgement. I’m not sure mcgowans pronouncements are an improvement on The New Testament.

      Some Christians tend to use the Bible to justify their predetermined opinions. This stems from the practice of having to justify religious teachings from passages in the Bible. The original practice was meant to generate debate and stop brainfarts. You are allowed to have your opinion on how successful it was, but most Christians would be happy to stick to justifying health advice with scientific data and knowledge.

I don’t understand this compulsion to denigrate Christians over there position on being injected with a DNA modifying drug. There are members of other religions that don’t want to take this, untested, experimental vaccine. I heard it has pig amino-acids incorporated in the RNA messenger molecule. Are Muslims going to be attacked if they won’t take it?

          Perhaps it is because vaccines do not modify the DNA. That is just spurious BS. DNA is double stranded and is contained in the cell nucleus. mRNA is single stranded and does not enter into the nucleus so it cannot be incorporated into the DNA.

          Then you heard a very great deal of BS. First, all mammals use the same 20 amino acids. Second, amino acids are not incorporated into messenger RNA (mRNA). mRNA codes for specific amino acids by using codons consisting of three nucleotides. These codons are decoded by transfer RNA (tRNA). tRNA molecules transfer amino acids to the ribosomes for protein synthesis. There are different tRNAs for each amino acid.

            Well done Ian. But my comment achieved my goal. Everyone that reads this began to wonder (with the exception of yourself maybe). While you understand basic biology well enough to know that what I said cannot be, the average reader does not. (And I will admit it’s been 50 years since I studied it in depth.) Meaning they are dependent on others to provide accurate information, and that is not happening. A different story each day, often contradicting the previous days story. While you have great knowledge of how a cell functions you have no idea how this experimental drug functions, unless you were personally involve with its development. Assuming you were not, even you are completely dependent on what someone else is telling you about how this drug works and what it does to the human cell. And no one knows the long-term effects. This is not a vaccine…under the classical definition of vaccine. It reprograms the cell to perform a task the cell was not intended to perform. What else does this drug tell the cell to do? Bill Gates was part of its development. Your trust may be misplaced. Not looking for a word fight or who is the smartest guy in the room (you can have that title. I want to provoke thought about what we are doing and why.

              Vaccines stimulate lymphocytes, white blood cells that are part of the immune system, to synthesise antibodies and to destroy infected cells . There are two types of these lymphocytes, B cells and T cells. These are specialised cells and are the only cells in the body that are able to recognise and specifically respond to antigens such as viruses and bacteria. B cells interact with and destroy antigens that are freely circulating outside infected cells. This is called Humoral Immunity. T lymphocytes bind to infected cells and via cytokines, destroy infected cells. This is called Cellular Immunity.

                My understanding is that the mRNA “vaccines” encode for spike proteins which the human body (cells) then manufacture, which in turn is supposed to stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies. If this is not reprogramming I’m not sure what is? These artificial spike proteins were not supposed to be there and we don’t know what they will do in the body short or long term.

                OLOzzie, This came to mind with your question about white blood cells. Not sure if this is were you were going.

                Leukemia usually involves the white blood cells. Your white blood cells are potent infection fighters — they normally grow and divide in an orderly way, as your body needs them. But in people with leukemia, the bone marrow produces an excessive amount of abnormal white blood cells, which don’t function properly.

                This entire vaccine push by governments all over the world reminds me of the fast-talking salesperson who implies that only smart people will see this great deal for what it is, and if you do not sign the contract right now it will not be available tomorrow, as they slide the contract across the table accompanied by an ink pen. They are far too desperate to have you sign up.
                Sixteen out of eighteen members of the CDC advisory panel voted not to endorse the third shot of “vaccine.” The once college professor now appointed director of the CDC overrides this vote and says the third shot is necessary.
                Bill Gates has proudly talked about “If we had a vaccine that would change the way people think…” and Mr. Gates heavily funded mRNA research.
                I see elites all over the world being injected with…? I do not know what they are being injected with. I know what I am being told they are being injected with, but normal saline looks similar the “vaccine.” Far too many people that have been vaccinated are coming down with the virus. Officials say ICU overflowing with unvaccinated, while ICU employees say that is not true and there are beds available
                This whole thing comes across, to me anyway, as a traveling snake oil show. Step right up.

                I have had CLL for over 20 years and WBC went up dramatically when I had Legionnaires’ disease well over 100 and I was supposed to start Chemo a year later but Lungs became full of fluid and damaged heart – Specialists had absolutely know idea what happened, and heart healed with treatment over 4 years

                Head & Neck Cancer has taken over, but I recover quickly from Minor & Major Ops and keep bouncing along feeling healthy – with blood tests every 3 weeks, able to keep close eye on WBC – varying 17-19 at the moment, which for me is pretty good.

                Following antiviral approach for well over a year and look the healthiest person in the Cancer Clinic

          The mask question should not ever be mixed up with the vax question. They are working against each other. The mask is helpful to eliminate and then proceed later without masks and without vaccines.

        As an Engineer and Christian , yes science and facts are important however science and faith are not mutually exclusive.

        One reason I wont touch the mRNA vaxes is they used aborted foetel cells during testing which I have a moral issue with. And the science also says they cause micro clotting and kill people. So either side of the discussion one would do it for “no”, but faith is way more powerful and will come into play as the Mark appears ( likely soon ).

          Both are good reasons. Very happy to agree with you on this. But the choice not to wear masks could also be causing abortions and killing people. It is important to see masks and vaccines as very different.

      Hmm. You overlooked the previous verse Sliggy, wonder if that was intentional. That verse begins with “He is a leperous man, he is unclean….”. A clear reference to someone with leprosy in that era with no opportunity to be treated for that disease.

      In the Hebrew Bible “tzaraath” (Hebrew צרעת) referred to a variety of unspecified skin diseases (which we can only guess at because precise modern diagnostic criteria weren’t provided, but they were not the commonly mistranslated leprosy or Hansen’s disease). An afflicted person was expected to isolate from the community until the condition resolved.

      Tzaraath could also apply to clothing and houses. If the tzaraath didn’t disappear the clothing or house had to be destroyed. A modern interpretation is mould or fungal growth on the clothing or house.

      Today, one of the moulds that can afflict houses is Stachybotrys chartarum. A pest controller expert (PhD) recently told me he had encountered some severe infestations of this mould in rural properties and the only practical way to get rid of it entirely and prevent infestation of surrounding properties was to burn them.

          Our eleven years in Darwin involved fighting mould constantly. Bad infestation had a distinct unpleasant smell.

          Louvres open permanently, big tropical fans revolving on the slowest speed constantly, and hardly any textile-fabric surfaces anywhere – certainly no carpets or voluminous curtains.

          Paths and pavers went black – a container of HCl and a high-pressure washer were standard equipment.

        You think maybe all your deniers may be that way because they know of nobody who has caught your pandemic, can read the stats on the ABS, have figured out the MSM fear porn industry is exactly that. The governments banning medication that is virtually harmless is a tad suspect. The 2 year marketing campaign to push funding to the most corrupt industries, media and the pharmaceutical companies maybe being influenced by outside interests.

        A government that shoots its own citizens in the back, may not be that concerned about their health.

        Nobody is asking you to make decisions on their behalf, you are not capable of making of informed decisions for yourself.

        Maybe the deniers have learnt to turn the TV off, as the virus does not exist outside the screens. Maybe they are much smarter then you.

        Mind your own business or man up and you come and stick me. I suspect manning up up is a term you spent your entire life avoiding.

            Really, I’m apparently selfish.
            I live on a farm, I have not been effected by this scamdemic. ​I do not have children, yet every week I stand in the park, every rally I drive for many hours to attend and have done so from the start, I do this for the youth, other peoples kids/grand kids, so they have the same opportunities I had.
            I find that entire rhetoric offensive, I am sick of trying to hug people to their senses, sometimes ya just got to slap them.

            Some of us just want to be left alone, make our of decisions, as we have always done. People now insist I do as they want, not now, not ever.

            You have found my bridge and I will die defending it.

            Well actually I have been effected, I lost my work as a self employed consultant, my father was murdered due to the lockdowns.
            My mother, now living by herself in NSW and slowly dying of cancer. I cannot see her because you got to have the vaxx to “pass freely between states”.

            So yeah I got a bone to chew with those who think they can comply the way out of this, for my good.

                I worked in between construction and production in mineral processing, a bit in design but I do commissioning of processing plants, then train the locals how to operate the equipment, I move into plant met rolls and try and squeeze a couple more bucks out of the rock. Very broad range. Playing with mud.

                Its a broad field with lots of employment opportunities, but before the pandemic ends you could take the time to reinvent yourself.

                My small business in hospitality collapsed, but fortunately high property prices saved my neck. Sorry to hear of your other woes.

              Compliance won’t get very far atm.
              BTW, I haven’t seen my 99 year old mother for 2 years now; she is very frail and the way things are I am very unlikely to see her alive again. I am deeply angry about this. My siblings are all now quite old and two are pretty ill. We have yet to meet our great grandson who is now a year old. Our family life has been very badly affected and the situation is not in any way helped by all the compliant sheep. I am deeply suspicious of something being pushed to such a bullying, coercive extent and certainly think a ‘wait and see’ attitude is reasonable.

                There’s a lot of excess mortality around March 2020 and also the regular Winter season was worse around Christmas 2020 than the comparable years such as Christmas 2018 or 2017.

                How much worse? By my estimate perhaps around 2x worse, perhaps a little bit more. Covid is worse than a typical flu but nowhere near as bad as the historic bad flus like 1918 or 1957 or 1968.

                In Australia there was no excess mortality because we get around 3000 pneumonia and 1000 flu deaths in a normal year, and in comparison Covid has been significantly less than that.

        1. This is still experimental technology, trials do not finish until 2023. This vaccine is unlike anything we have taken previously.
        2. Never in history have doctors said ‘I cannot treat you, you must wait for a vaccine – go home isolate and if your lips turn blue call an ambulance’.
        3. No one has been tested for antibodies before receiving the vaccine.
        4. Natural immunity has been deliberately ignored.
        5. The definition of the words, pandemic, vaccination and cases have been changed- why?
        6. Bullying and coercion have taken place to force people to take the vaccine – why? Is it because the vaccine don’t work?

Are you aware that Pfizer trialed a meningitis vaccine on children in Nigeria about 20 years ago? Those that survived were blind, deaf, paralysed and sometimes all three. The courts awarded huge payouts to the families. However Pfizer blackmailed the Nigerian government and there was plenty to blackmail them with . Basically it was if we have to pay up then we will expose what the Nigerian government has been up to.

                Consequently families were never paid.

The Bible clearly states we’re not under the Mosaic Law today: Hebrews 9:10, NLT, says: “For that old system deals only with food and drink and various cleansing ceremonies–physical regulations that were in effect only until a better system could be established”. Siliggy, these laws have no application to the modern, better hygiene situations of today. As to mask wearing, many scientific studies show that masks are largely unfit for the purpose of stopping aerosolized respiratory viral particles. In which case it could be postulated that mask wearing mandates relate to the theatre of the absurd or perhaps mandatory virtue signalling. A bible scholar might even conclude that mandatory mask wearing is a futile re-application of archaic Levitical law to modern times.

      Like Greg Craven, I take Catholicism seriously and hope to be “my best self” in ways that are pleasing to God. I’m less convinced than Craven that the church has unique expertise in public life (as opposed to faith and morals) and doubt that Catholic social teaching can give definitive and compelling answers to contentious political issues.

      There’s no doubt the church has an immense contribution to make to building a better world, but I suspect this lies much more in the “formation” of the individuals who participate in public life than in providing specific “Catholic ­answers” to the issues it throws up.

      Although Catholic social teaching is supposed to be based on reason rather than revelation, and therefore to be accessible to “all men of goodwill”, I doubt anyone reading an encyclical could mistake it for anything other than a church document. I agree with Craven that public policy should indeed respect the dignity of the human person, strive to realise the common good, be formulated and implemented as close to the people impacted as possible, and appreciate the diminution of any person impacts on everyone (as Catholic social teaching holds). But although these principles should certainly rule out some policies, I’m not sure how far they can take us in ruling in any particular policy.

      In my view, it’s impossible to be virtuous using someone else’s money, hence my discomfort with the “social justice” (or indeed “social gospel”) advocacy that seeks punitive rates of taxation in order (say) to alleviate poverty. All we can demand of government is that it be just, not that it be charitable; and much that might be worthy in an individual, if made mandatory by government, could become positively oppressive. For instance, why should a price set by a tribunal be more morally compelling than a price arrived at through the operation of markets – especially as the lived experience of price control has generally been more authoritarian governments and fewer prosperous economies? Hence my caution with the “distributism” that’s so frequently associated with Catholic social teaching.

      In Centesimus annus, Pope John Paul II calls for a free and virtuous society composed of three interlocking parts: a democratic political community, a free economy, and a robust moral culture. This teaching on the need for a free economy is still frequently lost in what George Weigel calls “the quixotic search for a “Catholic third way” somewhere ‘beyond’ capitalism and socialism”.

      Yet however refined and elaborated, I’m still sceptical of the ­extent to which Catholic social teaching can take us from worthy principles to practical policy. Some things may be off limits for a serious Catholic in public life: such as even more permissive abortion laws or the legalisation of assisted suicide (based, it should be said, on a universally accessible conception of human dignity rather than any church diktat). Even so, the presence of serious Catholics at all points of the political compass, at least those falling between complete libertarianism and green absolutism, should be grounds for caution against any attempt to distil compelling “Catholic” positions.

      Craven is on much stronger grounds, in my judgment, lamenting the “disconnected pragmatism” and “transactional politics” that he thinks have come to dominate our public life, where “some crisis or loss in an opinion poll” drives decision-making rather than a framework of principles. I suspect that what most changes in our public life is less the subject matter of the arguments than the human factor. If our public life is now as diminished as Craven suggests, that may have more to do with the quantum of character, conviction, and courage in our current crop of leaders than the ubiquity or otherwise of Catholic social teaching. If politics is downstream of culture, the best way to improve it may be to rekindle an appreciation of the best that’s been thought and said and to encourage men and women who see public life more as a calling than a career.

      This, in my view, is the true vocation of the church in the world: it’s less to preach politics than to encourage all men and women of goodwill, especially those labouring in the vineyard of public life, more of whom might, to our general advantage, be steeped in the ideals of duty and service – indeed, the humility that faith helps to engender. The mission of the church is not to make us perfect but to make us better. Catholic social teaching has an important role to shape our thinking and our characters but not to direct our policies.

      After all, can anyone point to a moral theologian who has also been an effective statesman?

      Hi, Just jumped on here and I see the Bible being used incorrectly. As a minister that is always frustrating. None of us have exclusive interpretation rights over what was intended by the words of Scripture but we try to get it right as much as we can.

      Leviticus 13:45 does say, “Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face and cry out. ‘Unclean, Unclean!” Sounds like a biblical reason to wear a mask. BUT what about the verse that follows….

      Leviticus 13:46 “As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp.”

      So there is no advocation for everyone to be masked. Only those deemed to have the disease should be wearing a mask AND they are required to isolate. IF you wanted to push the biblical position further, which I do not believe is necessary anymore due to medical breakthroughs, both vaccines and prophylaxis, the diseased need to place themselves outside the ‘camps’.

      A common problem in sharing the Bible is using only part of verses or passages that suit one’s narrative.

    We have now a low level bureaucracy that was modestly functional and service oriented; now managed by a political layer that is at best incoherant and at worst hostile.

    I have a very small fruit grove. Used to cooperate with my county agent to trap bugs and test for pathogens because I have a wider variety growing than most commercial operations, and am a bit standalone. Won’t let them come this year; the risk of being singled out for enforcement is higher than the benefits of cooperation; I’ll jut send in a “no longer growing” note. Is there a more trivial kind of civil disobediance? No, of course not. But I think this is an allegory.

    I think a lot of us will stop following laws and rules we see as arbitrary and capricious, as revenue and power grabs rather than public services.

    At the moment, the irredeemable deplorable are mostly being ignored. Eventually, it will be decided that we have to be disciplined.
    I hope we can fully segregate geographically; the only option I can see to violence.

    We are already a second rate nation, here in the US. This may not be a permanent condition. Although our children have learned absolute drivel in school. They are probably not incabable of being taught by experience; the social cohesion created by world wars or great depressions was not book learning. The federation model with tripartite government offers opportunities to regain freedom that a a single unified national regime does not; The significant migrations from California and New York to Tennessee, Texas and Florida represent moves unavailable in most of the world. The ability of States and Cities to go functionally bankrupt and restructure may not be taken advantage of, but is at least possible.

    So we’ll face the final question; if an authoriatrian minority in a nominal democracy orders the police and the military to enforce a social order based on something other than a universally applied law, will they obey?

      As expected there are a variety of way out theories being proposed as to the origin of the virus, including one that is literally way out – it came down from outer space on a meteor! Of course it’s possible but I consider it for the time being as highly unlikely unless real evidence is provided to substantiate such a wild theory.

      The Wuhan lab leak appears to be far more likely than any other idea. The question that still remains unanswered of course is whether it was accidental or deliberate. We will never know unless someone provides evidence to substantiate more clearly which one is correct. Given the secrecy of the CCP, I don’t see it ever happening. It can only happen if and when we have a war with China and provided they lose, then we have Nuremberg trials to uncover the truth. If they win well it will very likely forever remain a secret.

In Australia, ask most high school students a basic science question (EG: What are the four states of matter), and they wouldn’t have a clue.       I totally agree. The general population is overwhelmed with fake stories, propaganda. Too many issues and some are too complicate for the general population to understand. The problem is not however ‘conspiracy’ ‘theories’. There is sufficient evidence/scientific knowledge to understand what happened and why. We need to use our knowledge of reality and how the general population will react, to our advantage.

      Covid is a WMD. The Wuhan World military games was forced to happen by the CCP over objections of all the Western countries to provide a cover for the official CCP story (which the majority of Chinese, now believe) that covid ‘leaked’ out of a US military lab and then was carried to China by US soldiers who attended the world Wuhan military ‘games’. The Wuhan military game participants officially complained that the games were held in rooms that were too small for the number of participants and that there was no ventilation in the rooms. The participants knew that something was wrong and it was planned. The Wuhan military game participants also noted that there were no Chinese people on the streets outside the buildings where military ‘games’ where held.

      This is a cold war and we are busing fighting among ourselves. Covid is a very effective attack on our citizens and our countries because China/Democratic party of US has able to hide covid origins.

The lifetime Vit D deficiency explains why some people get dementia and others do not. This explains why the majority of people in their 80s have lost 80% of their brains, have difficulty walking and moving, have lost their hearing, and eye sight, and end up in long term facilities. Our old people look scared, uncertain, and sad. Losing 80% of the brain is part of the reason, as is organ failure.

      In the US and in Africa, ‘Black’ Americans do not trust vaccines. In the state of New York… 85% of the dark skin Americans have not had their first covid vaccine dosage (see link below).

        Mounting evidence suggests that vitamin D deficiency could be linked to several chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease and cancer. The purpose of this study was to examine the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and its correlates to test the hypothesis that vitamin D deficiency was common in the US population, especially in certain minority groups. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005 to 2006 data were analyzed for vitamin D levels in adult participants (N = 4495). Vitamin D deficiency was defined as a serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentrations ≤20 ng/mL (50 nmol/L). The overall prevalence rate of vitamin D deficiency was 41.6%, with the highest rate seen in blacks (82.1%), followed by Hispanics (69.2%). Vitamin D deficiency was significantly more common among those who had no college education, were obese, with a poor health status, hypertension, low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level, or not consuming milk daily (all P < .001). Multivariate analyses showed that being from a non-white race, not college educated, obese, having low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, poor health, and no daily milk consumption were all significantly, independently associated with vitamin D deficiency (all P < .05). In summary, vitamin D deficiency was common in the US population, especially among blacks and Hispanics. Given that vitamin D deficiency is linked to some of the important risk factors of leading causes of death in the United States, it is important that health professionals are aware of this connection and offer dietary and other intervention strategies to correct vitamin D deficiency, especially in minority groups.

      Cetrizine is otherwise known as Zyrtec. Loratadine is otherwise known as Claritin. Dexchlorpheniramine is not often-used in the US anymore, but it used to be. The other two core drugs were Azithromycin and Levofloxacin, both common antibiotics with the first being the infamous “Zpak” from the HCQ+Zinc+Zpak combination that a fraudulent study was used to discredit.

      Both of the first two antihistamines are available over the counter in most nations including the United States. The dosing they used is twice that on the label. The two antibiotics are both available anywhere for little money.

      Before they started treating people three residents died. The entire group of them had the common maladies of old age — hypertension, diabetes, COPD, cardiovascular disease. Most were using a huge range of existing drugs for their conditions (5 or more.)

      As soon as they started treating people the following happened:

      I didn’t even realize this study existed; had I known of it guess what I would have added to my protocol when I got Covid-19 the first week of August of this year, since it happens to be in my medicine cabinet already for seasonal allergies? Uh huh. Two 60ct bottles of generic Claritin equivalent costs about $12 at WalMart.

      Folks, think about this long and hard: In the worst-case scenario for those who this virus should have killed — it killed nobody. It should be killing statistically nobody today — right here, right now. How to prevent it from doing so was discovered in March and April of 2020 and intentionally ignored worldwide.

      It is still being ignored today.

      With these numbers there is no reason to fear a Covid-19 infection. There is no reason to take a vaccine. There was never a reason to develop a vaccine, especially the ones we have today; infection that does not produce severe disease is sterilizing and thus wildly superior to vaccinated immunity which is now proved to be failing worldwide. There is no reason to wear a mask.

      Every single one of these residents seroconverted and became immune with mild or moderate symptoms consistent with seasonal colds and flus and not one of them was put into the hospital or killed. The treatment is so ******ned cheap and available there’s no excuse to not use it instantly on suspicion of infection and prophylactically among everyone else in your household at first sign of trouble.

      You think the entire load of BS around HCQ and Ivermectin is bad? This is a thousand times worse.

        Dexchlorpheniramine AKA polaramine is one of the older antihistamines that makes you drowsy. Used to be available in 8 mg now only 2 mg so you will need to take a few and then not drive.

        The Polaramine brand name has been discontinued in the U.S.

                OG I have to get a report for VicRoads from my doc about me using this medicine and driving and yes the side effects can include things like confusion etc.
                One medication I was on Toprimate from memory had a peculiar warning not to take anti histamines while using this medicine , apparently if you take both there is a danger your body will be incapable of sweating .

        The support for this is to treat symptoms. I suspect that the elderly were on so many drugs that precluded the use of things in cold medicines like pseudephedrine, they went for the antihistamine component of such drugs. The message is, treat the symptoms as best you can. Don’t just go home and wait in fear.

        Take the doctor’s standard message: if you are coughing, you need to cough to rid your lungs of gunk. However, there comes a point where coughing is just like rubbing an inflamed area of skin, which reliably makes it worse. The sensible thing is to suppress the cough with a low dose of codeine and allow the lungs to heal. Or one can use an anti-asthamatic to reduce the tickle – very effective for persisting cough after an upper respiratory infection. Here treating the symptoms is actually therapeutic.

      This speaks to the instructions to go home and wait for your lips to turn blue rather than treating the symptoms. A lot of over the counter cold/flu mixtures contain antihistamines. And they do help with symptoms. The question of whether they improve recovery has only been answered by drug company studies. Since all of the agents in OTC cold/flu medications are long off patent, testing is not required.

      Government actions have for some time shocked people. Brief moments excepted, that was part and parcel of the twentieth century. Now liberal democracies have themselves succumbed to the totalitarian temptation, that is, the prohibition of questioning.

      For myself, I have begun to wonder if governments of developed countries (the term is from the TGA) which have denied a possible prophylactic and medicine to their own peoples, now intend very deliberately to realise Thomas Malthus’ argument of impoverisation and starvation on a global scale by their own fiat in the name of “the planet”.

      By the way, tom, have you noticed the complete lack of irony in reports of CO2 shortages for industry in the UK and elsewhere? Hilarious. But the results may prove very much otherwise in coming months.

    Yesterday I referred to this video by Jørgen Peder Steffensen and it occurred to me that his graph (after 1.30) shows that we are just pulling out of the coldest period in 10,000 years and if the feared warming occurs, we will still be cooler than Roman times. This is his entire point. And his data compares well with all other data. And his graph flatly contradicts the latest IPCC’s graph for COP26, the graph on which COP26 is based.

    Either Steffensen’s graph is a lie or the IPCC graph is a lie.

    On Steffensen’s graph, the feared rapid, tipping point, armageddon, end of days warming is not only ridiculously small and welcome, the Romans had it far better two thousand years ago without internal combustion engines. And they thought it was great. Few Romans drowned in their beds.

    No wonder the IPCC just republished the utterly discredited hockey stick. And how is all the ice going to melt when Steffensen can demonstrate with thermometers that the ice has been there, untouched through thousands of years of much warmer weather? How is this great sea rise going to happen? Why is ancient Rome under 15 metres of dirt and not under water?

    Perhaps politicians should watch this video and ask why the UN/IPCC has openly lied for 33 years? And now the UN/WHO as well.

    Whatever dream Franklin D. Roosevelt had for the United Nations, it has become massively funded world government in waiting, 40,000 overpaid unelected bureaucrats dreaming of domination, like the EU.         Curiously sea levels were falling in Roman times – the original port of Rome Ostia Antiqua is now well inland and being excavated.
        See also Ephesus, in the bible as a port and now 6 km from the sea. Or recent discoveries of phonecian trading/ports/wharves in SW England.

        The south east of England is supposedly sinking, but Pevensey castle was built on a headland by the Romans and surrounded by water on 3 sides. The harbour was used by William the Conqueror for his fleet. There was an aerial film on youtube of the castle and the amount of land that has appeared (incl. the road around castle) but it seems to be no longer available.

          The lack of inflow to the Mediterranean is likely the problem. To get more rain, you need more heat and we are told the heating is the problem? Europe was uninhabitable 10,000 years ago in the last ice age when agriculture was discovered in the Fertile Crescent.

          Historically the straits from Gibraltar to Africa have even closed completely and the entire sea has evaporated, lacking water replacement from the Atlantic and leaving an enormous salt pan with 60C temperatures.

          And North Africa used to have monsoons from the heat, creating a lush jungle landscape, all gone now as the people fled to the Nile valley. Plus Libya was the breadbasket of Carthage and then Rome. Unimaginable now. The heat was wonderful as it crated the rain and the rain and CO2 gave life to what is now lifeless drifting sands.

          The idea that everything stays the same and any changes are the fault of man and the invention of petrol is absolutely amazing. No geologist or paleontologist would agree with this crazy idea. Everything keeps changing. And the speed of change is not great on a human time scale.

          You would think after 33 years of total failure of their silly predictions, the Chicken Little warmists would give up but they are backed by the massive resources of the socialist/communist United Nations. And the idea that a 50% increase in Carbon Dioxide is a global disaster has no basis in any science.

            It is interesting that heating, Global Warming, was blamed for the recent devastating late summer rains in Europe. Despite the early warning systems which worked, we had a repeat across Europe of the flooding of 20 years ago. The point is that not only was it a regular, predictable event, but that warming is recognized as producing more rain.

            Now you only need three ingredients to make food, hydrated carbon dioxide by photosynthesis. Sun, water and CO2. Given that Sun is certain for the next few billion years. CO2 allegedly means more warming and thus more water, which means more food. What on earth is the problem?

            But then the same Profiteers of Doom demand you do not build dams, store the water and so prevent floods. It’s a conspiracy against humanity. The Greens are the enemies of humanity and as Dr. Patrick Moore claims “The enemies of the Earth”

          I have been to Ephesus but it appears to service a man made inland Harbour with a long canal to the ocean, not a deep water port at all but inland and man made. These vessels were low draft. And like all such long shallow canals, it silted up. And most of the city was destroyed by earthquakes which luckily preserved a lot of the old town from stone robbing, as happened to so many cities. There is still a marble walkway from the old city to the harbour, still a long way inland.

          It reminds me of medieval Bruges which was another long canal which silted up, trapping a harbour city with canals in a time warp for us to enjoy. Finding deep water ports along that Agean and Western Mediterranean coastline is tricky and often the Greeks had to build breakwaters far into the ocean as at Alexandria and Rhodes and as later at Caesarea under Herod. The same shallow canal system was adopted for trading cities Venice and Amsterdam. Except the bottom 1 metre of the Amsterdam canals are alleged to be filled with bicycles.

            Consider the similar situation at Thermopylae. The battle was fought on a narrow pass between a cliff and the sea. The coast is now several kilometres away.

              About 6 km. when in WW2 the classicaly trained British politicians wanted the army to stop the German panzers there. The army had other ideas about the whole Greek expedition, as they set up 2 units to plan, one for getting troops into the Greek mess and the other planning the retreat out.

              And TdeF, Chester was a Roman port for the west coast of the Midlands, but it was on a river which silted up owing to reduced water flow. Indeed most known Roman ports in England are no longer in use. On the otherhand I can, on personal observation, say that the Water Gate in the Tower of London (known as Traitor’s Gate in the popular tales) was built in 1285 and at low tide has little water in it but becomes usable at high tide (the tidal range at that point is 4 metres – Julius Caesar commented on it).
              It’s even higher in Brittany where 12-16 metres difference is observed. Even in the Channel islands boats can be grounded at low tide (inconvenient for all those millionaires).
              But Ostia Antiqua had to be excavated. Obviously from soil build-up.

    Do Vaccinated Pregnant Women in Their First or Second Trimester have an 81.8% Chance of Miscarriage?

    It appears the answer is actually an emphatic yes!

    They have manipulated the numbers like everything else. This means that all 700 women who received the vaccine in the third trimester must be excluded from the calculation because they were already past being able to have a technical miscarriage. Therefore, looking closely at the study suggests that 104 out of 127 women experienced a miscarriage since they were under the 20-week definition. This obviously means the miscarriage rate of women who received the vaccine in the first or second trimester is actually 81.8% or 8 out of 10 women. This is far beyond the normal 12.6% range.

    This leads us to ask once again: What is the truth here? I can attest from personal knowledge that even taking aspirin during the first trimester can cause birth defects!

      The problem with the study was that the study only looked at 3 months of data. Of those that were in the first trimester, the pregnancy loss within that time window was within “normal” limits. However, the paper was very badly written. In fact there is still no valid data on completed pregnancies for women vaccinated during the first trimester. A Youtube Doc goes over this.

      Personally I would be very reluctant to gt vaccinated during pregnancy, but the BC CHO has stated that 40 pregnant women were admitted for covid. This suggests that pregnancy is a serious risk factor. On the other hand, she has been known to lie in the past about the death of an infant – the baby was already very sick and in hospital, and seems they managed a +PCR on it.

After reading the transcript linked below, it appears to me the people in the US now have the absolute right to declare war on the US government for a second time, the first time of course was when the their government was British but back then they actually didn’t have such a right as the Declaration was not yet produced. Let’s hope cool heads prevail but that can only be possible if Biden is replaced with someone who doesn’t have such a hatred of the freedoms the US citizens had to fight for in the first place.

        Their US Constitutional right to bear arms is just a formalisation of what they already could do from the start. When they colonised America they armed themselves for a variety of reasons. Then as each state was formed they copied each other’s Constitution to have the right to bear arms. Eventually it was formalised by the 2nd amendment to be consistent. That is why it would be extremely hard to get rid of it. It’s in their culture. Perhaps in time they can but their culture will need to change a lot more, assuming they can survive as a nation, which I doubt.

      The Declaration of Independence is a noble document but not law. It does however state the general principle that “the people” have a fundamental natural right to alter or abolish a government destructive of the stated rights.

      Looking at the writings of the founding fathers of the US they saw “the people” and not “the Government” as the ultimate power in the United States and gave the people military power via the Second Amendment to alter or abolish a destructive government that violates the Constitution and other laws.

      If Donald Trump doesn’t get re-elected in 2024 and there is another fraudulent election or a Democrat government is reinstalled and continues to violate laws and the Constitution then many Americans will seek to alter or abolish the illegal government using their Second Amendment rights, perhaps lead by General Trump.

      Note that it’s estimated that only about 3% of the population participated in the First American Revolution.

        That’s the problem I see. As with any revolution the victor ends up re-writing the law and gets away with it. So, if there is going to be a serious uprising in the US then they better make sure they have a significant advantage in numbers who are prepared to sacrifice themselves for what they truly believe, exactly what they did to win their independence from the British. The alternative is for the union to break apart amicably but that’s difficult too as it’s against the Constitution.

    The sickness afflicting Australia is not so much the ‘Rona but the absolute incompetence of the authorities to deal with it.

    The only solution they have on offer is extreme isolation and lock up, extreme removal of individual rights, extreme destruction of the economy and essentially only a single approved treatment regime outside of which no deviation is possible or even legal.

    The current methodology has already caused massive economic and social destruction and very likely unnecessary deaths (because of a refusal to even try otherwise harmless therapeutic protocols such as IVM, HCQ, with zinc, Vit D etc as specified).

    At the current progress Australia as we know it will be utterly destroyed and will become more of a dystopian nightmare and dictatorship than it already is.

    Of course, the Left are oblivious to the harm being done, this is the society they have always wanted, hence you never hear them complain about lock up, inability to work or trade or huge fines etc.).

    And you are kidding yourself that much will change when and if the double vax targets are met. There will always be new strains of the ‘Rona and other respiratory diseases evolving for which the current vaccines are ineffective so we’ll be in a permanent state of lock up and Australian society as we know it will collapse and there’ll be massive civil unrest. The Authorities will also then progress from shooting people with “less lethal” munitions as they have been doing in Melbdanistan to lead bullets. Sooner or later I have no doubt they’ll commit a massacre of a large number of protectors, and the guilty officers will claim “just following orders” (which of course is inexcusable).

    I don’t think anyone ever thought that Australian society could degenerate like this with Australian against Australian, friend against friend, sibling against sibling etc as regards to thoughts about the vax, virus or lock ups etc.. Especially with respect to the extreme and violent measures taken by authorities.

    Australia started as a free range prison. That’s how it will finish, but without the free range part.

      I too am surprised as to speed at which all this is happening. What surprised me even more is how much of Australia is actually accepting it all. That might change once mandatory vaccinations and passports are enforced but we will just have to wait and see how Australians in general react. If they accept such draconian measures and they become permanent, then the Australia we knew will have fallen. Next step after that will likely be the expansion of the vaccine passport to include social credit system being considered elsewhere and already in use in China. It will be the death knell of our freedoms. Too early to tell if we will get that far as quickly as we have gone this far with what’s been happening lately. If it doesn’t then I expect it well be postponed to a later time after more people have been indoctrinated as people go through the school system for the next generation. It’s all so clear what’s happening, only the exact timing is unknown.

          My thoughts too for some time. It’s hard to know the exact details but something is most definitely amiss. We will know soon enough if we are getting very close to the tribulation spoken of in the Scriptures. If we are then expect two very powerful and charismatic people to come to the scene, who will be easily noticed by those who are awake. These two are of course the antichrist and the false prophet, the latter will head a world church that will convince a lot of Christians to believe in the two only to find themselves to have fallen away if they don’t wake up early enough before the great tribulation is over.

          As for the police, I expect there are some who are full of hatred and will bash people almost to the death, as a few already have, while there are others who don’t agree with what they are told to do but have no choice but to follow orders to keep their jobs. How long that will last before many break ranks is anyone’s guess.

          Ten years ago we did not have a pandemic – a serious respiratory disease that is spread by aerosol means, and is incredibly infectious. I don’t support mandatory vaccination either – but it is essential in some industries (health, aged care, education).

          The vaccine requirement in construction is based on the medical data – that a large percentage of the spreading has come from that sector, certainly in Melbourne.

          Our acceptance of the vaccination rollout reflects a sensible understanding of the position we are in, and that we cannot stay hidden in our homes forever, with great economic and social cost. There is nothing else to it.

                On the whole WA is a happy place and a whole lot of people want it to stay this way.

                People are still getting vaccinated in WA – now at about 46% fully vaccinated, and they are also aiming to reach the 80% required under the National Plan.

                There are two other issues: (a) it’s not a one-way street, so Victoria is not going to let Western Australians in forever, if Victorians can’t travel to WA, and what happens to those who go east – can they come back? and (b) even with closed borders it’s inevitable that the virus will get in at some time.

                It might well be a happy place, but it can’t stay locked out forever, notwithstanding the isolationist tendencies of many of its citizens.

                When I lived in Perth, I met quite a few people who were rather proud of the fact they had never been “over east”.

      My wife works one the counter of a business, the workers are getting stuck so they can go to the gym. One young lad got stuck last Monday, came back to work, ended the day and has not been to work since, these lads are casual and no work no pay.

      Locally a medical centre was doing nothing but vaccinations, a very close friend of mine was there when a young man came out after the jab and fell off the chair having a seizure on the floor, the doctors couldn’t stabilize him and an ambulance took him to hospital.

      My friend overheard the receptionist say to the doctor “that’s the third one today” to which my friend promptly walked out without getting a vaccination, they were getting it to keep their job but said “I’d rather be alive and broke than employed and dead”, my work hasn’t mandated vaccinations yet and no way in hell am I getting one, my body my choice!

    I have a question about the mRNA “vaccines”.

    Suppose you survive both injections without obvious side-effects such as death or blood clots, after a time will your body eventually return to a pristine state as it was before the vax? In other words, after a time (how long?) would your body become indistinguishable biochemically and in every other way to what it was before?

    Nothing seems to have been discussed about this.

      I think that would an academic question unless the person gets booster shots with a different vaccine. People in many countries are now being told they must get booster shots with mRNA types. To answer your question though, I haven’t seen any short term studies. Long terms ones of course will have to wait.

      Most formerly healthy cells that later express the spike protein due to mRNA are killed by one’s immune system. Other cells where the spike protein bind will also be killed.

      Many cells are regenerated, some are not. It remains to be seen what is in store long term. Presumably, the anti-bodies provide protection from CV, though there is risk of detrimental effects from these, autoimmune disease, ADE, etc.

      Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky has overridden the recommendations of the FDA vaccine advisory committee and authorized booster shots for individuals who took the Pfizer vaccine. The boosters are for anyone who took the Pfizer vaccine six months ago or more, in addition to all those with underlying medical health conditions that make them susceptible to the COVID-19 variants.

      The unilateral booster declaration does not include authorization for Moderna or Johnson and Johnson, only Pfizer. Apparently, the Pfizer lobbying group has deeper pockets and is more politically connected. The Moderna and J&J decision will be made at a later date.

    Dr. Leana Wen admits the vaccines are not yet officially fully approved and so she questions why the FDA is still not fully approving them given that so many people have been vaccinated. In other words, it proves the trials are still being conducted on the masses. The point being neglected by the idiotic doctor is that the reason the FDA won’t fully approve the vaccines is because they are still undergoing trials and full approval won’t happen for a long time yet to come. This revelation is proof why those who have some apprehension of being vaccinated like myself are correct in doing so. That is the truth of the situation and is the legitimate reason why vaccination can’t be enforced under any circumstances, and in fact could be illegal under our existing laws but that hasn’t been tested as yet. The correct approach is to give everyone the choice to be vaccinated or not and leave it at that. No coercion, no restriction for employment, no passports, etc.. I am now completely satisfied I have done the right thing not to get vaccinated until the vaccines are fully approved, and even then it might not be necessary depending on the circumstances. In any case I have a greater chance of dying from other serious diseases that the vast majority of people will never get vaccinated for – the statistics speak for themselves.

    An FDA advisory panel recommended emergency use authorization (EUA) of a booster dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine (Comirnaty) for individuals 65 and older, and those judged to be at high risk of severe COVID-19.

    On Friday, the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) voted 18-0 that the known and potential benefits of a booster dose outweighed the known and potential risks for older adults, and for individuals 16 and up at high risk of severe disease.

    The committee also agreed that healthcare workers and others at high risk for occupational exposure should be included in the EUA, which Peter Marks, MD, PhD, of FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), said could include frontline workers, such as teachers, and certain infrastructure workers.

    However, full approval of a booster dose was not recommended for all individuals ages 16 and older, by a vote of 2-16, with the committee mainly citing lack of safety data for the general population, including the risk for myocarditis in younger men.

    Not only that, but VRBPAC did not buy manufacturer Pfizer’s argument about “waning vaccine efficacy” as a significant driver of transmission, as CDC staff noted that transmission in the U.S. was mainly driven by the unvaccinated population.

    “I have major concerns with regards to the extrapolation of the much older population to 16- and 17-year-olds,” said Archana Chatterjee, MD, PhD, of Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago. “There is no data on this population at all and the safety database presented was too small.”

    Pfizer presented safety and immunogenicity data from a cohort of about 300 adults ages 18 and older from the phase I/II/III trials who received booster doses, including only 12 adults ages 65 and older. This was the only data the committee was allowed to consider in its first voting question on approval, though Marks said committee members could consider the “totality of the evidence.”

    Committee members were most struck by real-world data from Israel, published this week in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), that showed a benefit for a booster dose for adults ages 60 and older.

    “The safety data we have reflects 60-year-olds,” said Eric Rubin, MD, PhD, of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, and NEJM editor-in-chief. “That’s quite different from ‘people should get a third dose,'” which he described as “closer to being written as a mandate that everyone should get it.”

    Mark Sawyer, MD, of the University of California San Diego, was one of the only two “yes” votes on the first question, saying he thought approval for the general population was the “quickest, most efficient way for providers” to target certain high-risk populations who needed booster doses.

    Sawyer also voted yes to the EUA question.

    “I think this is a really amazing vote” for older adults and healthcare workers, who were vaccinated earlier and needed more protection, said Amanda Cohn, MD, of the CDC. She also said she was hopeful that once more data were available, they would reconvene to vote on a third dose for the general population.

    Marks seemed to be leaning toward nudging the VRBPAC members to vote on the approval, taking time to show a slide from the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) that showed that half of currently recommended vaccines require an additional dose 6 months after the primary series.

    He added that the idea of preventing severe disease and hospitalization was only part of the job of a vaccine, as they are “indicated for various severities of disease prevention,” including preventing continued spread of COVID-19 to vulnerable populations, such as children too young to be vaccinated.

    Ultimately, the committee had no appetite for approval for a host of reasons. In addition to safety data, committee members said they wanted to see vaccines based on the circulating variant, studies of longer time between primary series and even a longer follow-up period following the booster dose to determine durability of immunity.

    CDC staff also noted that they are currently evaluating data on the 1 million individuals who received a third dose of vaccine, and expect to make them available shortly.

      l am just a bystander looking for some truth,
      what l could see from the second link as a problem in the theory is that for a start the guy is not understanding or hearing what the experts such as Dr Borody have said about the use of Ivermectin as a treatment for covid to be used in the early stages of illness from the virus, Dr Borody said that Ivermectin used in later stages was not as effective but could still be beneficial to the patients, then you have Dr Zelenco who has treated over 6000 cases with not one early treatment patient going to hospital or dying from the virus, l am pretty sure Dr Zelenco stated he had three patients that were very ill in ICU that did die with the virus from comorbidities but the treatment was at a late stage of illness when the patients were already very sick in the ICU

      these studies are flawed especially when all you need to see is the graphs used in places like India for example that show clearly the effect of when using Ivermectin and when not using Ivermectin but then using the Ivermectin again

      An earlier version has already been posted. Haven’t seen this one before. It’s interesting that any in the police force are resisting mandatory vaccination (along with nurses and construction workers) yet they are being used to stop protesters who are being outspokenly rejecting mandatory vaccinations. If that isn’t a reality check to wake people up then nothing is – excepts perhaps a civil uprising, which appears unlikely here.

      We shall see what happens after the deadline for police, nurses and construction workers. Teachers have all given in to the vaccinations (apart form those who reigned of course). My gut feeling is most will cave in just like the teachers. It’s their livelihoods at stake, and the politicians and commissioners know it, so officialdom will win this round towards tyranny. Next step will be interesting though – mandatory vaccine passports for everyone. That will be a somewhat harder one for them to get away with at this stage. Let’s see how far that goes.

    What might be a surprise to some, not least Arizona conservatives … the Arizona “audit” shows that Joe Biden won the state, and in fact the Biden vote was the one under-counted.

    This outcome does not “confirm” Joe Biden’s win, because (a) the exercise was fraudulent and incompetent, and (b) Biden’s win was confirmed in November 2020 and January 2021 … there was nothing to prove.

    I trust that Donald Trump and all those who claim the election was stolen now accept the result, and move on … but I expect they won’t, and will double down in other states. The real lose is democracy in the US.

Judging from your comment probably not but both are Trump supporters and were heavily involved in the audit.       So, let’s look into what the audit actually says.

      “What has been found is both encouraging and alarming,” the report summary reads. “On the positive side there were no substantial differences between the hand count of the ballots provided and the official canvass results for the County.”

      The summary continues:

      However, while it is encouraging for voters, it does not allay all of the concerns:

      . None of the various systems related to elections had numbers that would balance and agree with each other. In some cases, these differences were significant.
      . There appears to be many ballots cast from individuals who had moved prior to the election.
      . Files were missing from the Election Management System (EMS) Server.
      . Ballot images on the EMS were corrupt or missing.
      . Logs appeared to be intentionally rolled over, and all the data in the database related to the 2020 General Election had been fully cleared.
      . On the ballot side, batches were not always clearly delineated, duplicated ballots were missing the required serial numbers, originals were duplicated more than once, and the Auditors were never provided Chain‐of‐ Custody documentation for the ballots for the time‐period prior to the ballot’s movement into the Auditors’ care. This all increased the complexity and difficulty in properly auditing the results; and added ambiguity into the final conclusions.

      The audit team faults Maricopa County officials for not cooperating with the audit, which would have resolved many of these obstacles. “By the County withholding subpoena items, their unwillingness to answer questions as is normal between auditor and auditee, and in some cases actively interfering with audit research, the County prevented a complete audit,” the summary explains. “This did not stop the primary goal of offering recommendations for legislative reform to the Arizona Senate, but it did leave many questions open as to the way and manner that the 2020 General Election was conducted. As a result, while many areas of concern were specifically identified, our full audit results validating the 2020 General Election are necessarily inconclusive.”

      While the media is claiming that the audit report confirms Biden’s victory, it does not. “There are sufficient discrepancies among the different systems that, in conjunction with some of our findings, suggest that the delta between the Presidential candidates is very close to the potential margin‐of‐error for the election,” the audit summary explains.

      Why do these matter? Because, according to the state-certified results, Joe Biden barely won the state by a 10,457-vote margin. The tiny margin of victory in the state-certified results means that these discrepancies are very troubling. There were 42,727 impacted ballots ranked as “high” or “critical” severity—that’s four times the certified margin of victory. If you include “medium” severity discrepancies, there were 53,214 impacted ballots—more than five times the certified margin of victory. Overall, there were 57,734 impacted ballots.

      These findings don’t prove fraud, but certainly demonstrate the potential for fraud. And these impacted ballots have not been vetted.

      So, has Joe Biden’s victory been proven? Not in the least. The truth is, we’ll never know the truth about how many ballots were impacted. Of course, the mainstream media knows this, which is why, deep down in CNN’s report about the audit, it laments that the draft report “shows that Cyber Ninjas and their subcontractors are still seeking ways to cast doubt on the election,” pointing to the thousands of ballots flagged.

      The bottom line: The number of ballots impacted by discrepancies far exceeds Biden’s margin of victory in the state. Both sides of this debate will claim the report validates their position, but in truth, without proper vetting of the impacted ballots, we’ll never know if the election results were legitimate.

      It did no such thing. Like the hand recounts before it, the hand recount conducted by the audit team found few discrepancies in the vote tallies of the ballots. The forensic audit, however, did uncover 57,734 ballots impacted by irregularities—which is 5.5 times Biden’s state-certified margin of victory of 10,457 votes. The audit team acknowledged that “in many cases there could be legitimate and legal votes within the Ballots Impact amount,” but without vetting these votes, we’ll never know. The results of the election can’t be changed at this point, but the audit team did make a number of suggestions for legislative fixes to make Arizona’s elections more secure.

      Sadly, the mainstream media used the hand recount results to declare that Biden was confirmed the winner, even though the audit identified over 57,000 votes impacted by irregularities, and stated unequivocally that “full audit results validating the 2020 General Election are necessarily inconclusive.”

      I am under no illusions. We’ll never get a proper vetting of these questionable ballots. But one thing is clear: There were a lot of irregularities, and those irregularities impacted enough votes that they could have altered the results of the election. Below, I will explain the findings of the medium, high, and critical ballots—which account for 53,214 of the 57,734 ballots impacted, so you can understand why they were flagged by the audit team, and why a significant number of these ballots could be fraudulent.

This includes modalities that can readily be used by the public to reduce disease spread and severity. Suchpreventive measures and early-stage treatments may temper the immediacy of demand for advanced anti-COVID measures
      (drugs, antibodies, vaccines) and help relieve strain also on other health system resources.
      Design and Participants. We present results of a clinical study with a multi-component OTC “core formulation” regimen used in a multiply exposed adult population. Analysis of clinical outcome data from our sample of over 100 subjects comprised of roughly equal sized regimen-compliant(test) and non-compliant (control) groups meeting equivalent inclusion criteria demonstrates a strong statistical significance in favor of use of the core formulations. Results. While both groups were moderate in size, the difference between them in outcomes over the 20-week study period was large and stark: Just under 4% of the compliant test group presented flu-like symptoms, but none of the test group was COVID-positive; whereas 20% of the non-compliant control group presented flu-like symptoms,
      three-quarters of whom (15% overall of the control group) were COVID-positive. Conclusions. Offering a low cost, readily
      implemented anti-viral approach, the study regimen may serve, at the least, as a stopgap modality and, perhaps, as a useful tool in

            Australia has acquired near zero natural immunity. ALL the heavy lifting in Australia will need to be done by vaccination or there will be a high cost in unvaccinated clogging up hospitals while they acquire natural immunity or depart life.

            No location has achieved an infection rate under 1 with the delta strain with less than 80% of the population carrying anti-bodies. That includes all the children. That means something like 85% of over 12yo to be fully vaccinated before mobility can approach normal level.

            NSW has around 70% of their population with one jab; still low mobility and are just holding case numbers. NSW needs a lot more vaccinations before they can restore any reasonable mobility without hospitalisations skyrocketing.

      One of the most common reasons given for mass COVID vaccinations is the idea that if we reach herd immunity through vaccination, we can starve the virus out of existence and get our lives back. It’s the COVID-Zero strategy or some variant of it.

      By now it is abundantly clear from the epidemiological data that the vaccinated are able to both catch and spread the disease.

      Clearly vaccination isn’t going to make this virus disappear. Only a mind that has lost its grasp on reality can fail to see how ridiculous all this has become.

        A combination of high vaccination rates plus natural or acquired immunity could well make the virus disappear, since the vaccinated are less likely to contract the disease and re-transmit. Herd immunity is the objective.

        And further, high rates of vaccination will mean less serious cases and fewer deaths. Almost all deaths these days are among the unvaccinated and/or the seriously unwell.

    Similarly for Vitamin D. Vitamin D has already been discussed on this blog. What better way to improve serum Vitamin D levels than by locking them inside heh?

    At the very least everyone in the population should be supplementing with zinc and Vitamin D since deficiencies of both are common, especially in susceptible groups like the elderly and obese.

    I know informed people know about zinc (and Vit D) and both are in the Zelenko and ivermectin protocols but it should be common knowledge and supplementation should be common practice.

    Highlights

    -Patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) had significantly low zinc levels in comparison to healthy controls.

    -Zinc deficient patients developed more complications (70.4% vs 30.0%, p = 0.009).

    -Zinc deficient COVID-19 patients had a prolonged hospital stay (7.9 vs 5.7 days, p = 0.048).

    -In vitro studies have shown that reduced zinc levels favour the interaction of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike protein and likewise that increased zinc levels inhibit ACE2 expression resulting in reduced viral interaction.

    Results

    COVID-19 patients (n = 47) showed significantly lower zinc levels when compared to healthy controls (n = 45): median 74.5 (interquartile range 53.4–94.6) μg/dl vs 105.8 (interquartile range 95.65–120.90) μg/dl (p < 0.001). Amongst the COVID-19 patients, 27 (57.4%) were found to be zinc deficient. These patients were found to have higher rates of complications (p = 0.009), acute respiratory distress syndrome (18.5% vs 0%, p = 0.06), corticosteroid therapy (p = 0.02), prolonged hospital stay (p = 0.05), and increased mortality (18.5% vs 0%, p = 0.06). The odds ratio (OR) of developing complications was 5.54 for zinc deficient COVID-19 patients.

    Conclusions

    The study data clearly show that a significant number of COVID-19 patients were zinc deficient. These zinc deficient patients developed more complications, and the deficiency was associated with a prolonged hospital stay and increased mortality.

    It is interesting to put yourself in the role of a health care worker in a hospital when an unvaccinated person presents with Covid. Clearly these individuals have made a choice. They have probably taken their medical advice from the web rather than a medical professional.

    People have a right to reject vaccination against COVID-19; no question.

    The question is how much responsibility does society have to prioritize health care for people who’ve made that risky personal decision.

    That question will become more and more relevant if more and more people become seriously ill and demand more and more of limited health services.

    Australia has made triage decisions based on the ability of Covid victims to handle intrusive procedures. No triage decision has been made on the basis of limited resources. As Australia opens up, the unvaccinated will present in increasing numbers at hospitals. There is a good chance that resources will be stretched. The question is – should triage be based on the probability of surviving or on your personal choice not to get vaccinated?

    The USA is coming out the other side now but excess Covid deaths in 2021 now tallies 600k and some States far worse than others. Some hospitals have suffered staff shortages:

    OK So I’m 50, play golf most weeks and mow the lawn every weekend and only see the doc when my wife nags me. I go to the supermarket and a rona +ve person breaths out while I’m breathing in while passing, I get a low dose of the virus. I never know I was infected.

    The question is: Do I now have natural immunity? The sceptic in me says: More than the scaremongers would have me believe.

      but to answer your question and l am not a doctor so l am repeating what experts have said, yes you would have antibodies now after having the virus that would help protect you better than anything else
      as l said though, there have been papers done apparently on this that prove you already have the antibodies needed to fight the virus

    Greetings to you and yours, Hanrahan:

    It is entirely possible you have a ‘natural’ or ‘stronger’ immune response than most. If memory serves, you’ve been an advocate of the Vitamin D/zinc/quercetin/or others protocol, so if you’ve been in contact with someone who is positive, and did not develop symptoms or full-blown “bug”, then you very likely have an immune response that is overwhelming anything the ‘bug’ might try to do.

    True story: I relented to my Nurse Practitioner daughter (who, at the moment, is working in an on-line environment to obtain a Ph. D. in Nursing, thereby making her eligible to teach Nursing in a University/Hospital environment) and did the jab, back in April. That was when the Transient Ischemic Attacks began (four in total), which my Primary Care Physician tied directly to the vaccine. I’m now on a 325 mg per day aspirin, and going into 14 weeks since the last T.I.A.

    Whether I will have to stay on the aspirin protocol the rest of my life is an open question at present.

    OK, all that to say: we know the ‘vaccines’ do not really do any protection of the injectee from the ‘bug’. This past summer (N. Hemisphere) one of my two granddaughters came up with full-blown “bug” (sidebar: my wife and I are raising our four grandchildren; they live with us 24/7/365, and their mom, our daughter, the soon-to-be Ph. D., helps out financially and other ways while we raise them). So, the granddaughter would have had the infection before she showed symptoms, and then obviously we were in close contact during convalescence.

    Neither my wife or I have even come up with a sniffle, having been on the Vit D/zinc, with occasional Vit C, for almost 18 months, ever since I learned about it from Jo’s wonderful website. Anytime I did come up with any sniffle, I popped extra D, and extra zinc, and usually downed a litre or so of Great Value (WalMart brand) tonic water, which says right on the outside that it has quinine.

    No, I left the gin out of the tonic water. My wife does not do the tonic water; I’m just trying to cover every base. Oh, and as a sidebar to all that, this past winter, here in Wyoming, I had my first ever winter that I did not have ANY colds (you know, the garden-variety common cold). My usual is to have three, and sometimes four colds in a season, but last winter, ZIP ZERO NADA NICHTS and NOT EVEN!!!!!

    I’m staying on the protocol, even if the ‘bug’ manages to exit the scene.

    Moral of the story: your protocol is likely doing more than any ‘vaccine’ ever thought of doing. Consider that if you get exposed, and your immune response kicks in, aided and abetted by the protocol, you’ve likely achieved a level of immunity the ‘vaccines’ can only dream of.

      Great story, Vlad. Awful about the ischemic episodes but great to hear the vitamin protocol has had such a great effect.

      My husband & I are the same. We started a healthy eating regime in 2020 when the virus first appeared globally. Every morning we have a vitamised drink of blueberries/apples/ carrot/ banana/strawberries & orange juice & mint for flavour.

      When the virus finally arrived seriously in Oz I added the vitamin protocol of Zinc/ Vits D, C & flavonoids. I have the hard to get Quercetin in reserve in case of positive Covid encounter.

      The moral of the story is that we have never felt so healthy. No colds ( admittedly we have rarely had the flu, ever) or other ailments. Like you, we intend to stay on this regime. It just makes a lot of sense.

Yet here we are in Australia with mandates to vaccinate 80% or more of the population. A few of the extreme element of the politicians want near 100%.       One of the significant effects of this vendetta against the unvaccinated, for me, is the understanding of what it feels like to be marginalised in society. It is heartbreaking & somewhat frightening, although I am not normally a fearful person. But to feel like a leper, a person to be shunned, is an awful experience.

      There are many things I will take away from this dreadful time. This is one of them & I hope it will make me a better and more sympathetic person. It has also made me more critically aware of the techniques of control and coercion that authorities and governments will probably use in the future – since they have been so successful in respect to their politicisation of this virus. The Climate Change fiasco should have been a warning – though the personal nature of this crisis has made the effects on the individual more immediate.

    China’s announcement that it will no longer fund foreign coal plants stands in stark contrast to its plans to build 43 new coal-fired power stations at home, writes Peta Credlin.

    Coal-fired power is said to be on the way out here in Australia, where the media mostly trumpeted this week China’s announcement that it would stop funding other countries’ coal plants.

    But that’s certainly not the case in China itself, which is planning to build 43 new coal-fired power stations and 18 new coal-dependent blast furnaces.

    Climate hypocrisy is exactly what we should expect from the world’s biggest emitter, in the run-up to the Glasgow climate summit.

    The Chinese know they can count on climate credulity from the gullible West, and are hoping to use cosmetic concessions on climate to extract even more strategic gains over places like Taiwan.

    Why are we weakening ourselves economically when our giant strategic challenger has no such climate scruples?

    It doesn’t matter how much countries like Australia (with just over 1 per cent of the global total) reduce our emissions. If China (with 30 per cent) won’t do likewise, our power prices go up and our heavy industries close but the planet is no better off.

    Then there’s the small problem of keeping the lights on when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining, because coal still provides almost 70 per cent of the east coast’s electricity. Last week increasingly renewable-energy-dependent Britain has reportedly faced industry shut downs because of soaring gas prices due to a largely windless September.

    Of course, if we did want to reduce emissions quickly, we’d embrace nuclear power; and if not that, we’d replace existing coal-fired power stations with the latest super-efficient versions that would cut power sector emissions by up to 40 per cent.

    Far from abandoning coal here, because Australian coal is the world’s cleanest, the more we produce and export, the better.

    As things stand, the anti-coal activism from boardrooms down is more about striking a pose than making a difference.

      Russia is not restricting the flow of gas. Gazprom also has not raised the price of the gas that it does deliver. The high prices are due to the middle man, i.e. the EU distributors. Russia could deliver more gas to the EU (and would be happy to, for the same price, i.e. $220 for 1000 cubic meters of gas) but for a bizarre EU rule, which stipulates that 50% of the gas delivered must come from countries other than Russia. It’s just that in Europe no other country delivers gas. How is that for shooting yourself in the foot?!

        Balmain, for many years, had its own coal mine.

        The surface works were on the site to the north of Birchgrove Primary School. The mine, at first
        known as the Sydney Harbour Colliery, started operations in 1897 and the last coal was mined in
        1931. The mine was the deepest ever worked in Australia and later produced methane gas, but was
        not a commercial success. It had poor working conditions and suffered several disastrous
        accidents. The property was sold in 1955 and the shafts filled in and sealed two years later.

        A second bore put down in 1892-1893, also at Cremorne, reached a good 10 foot seam at 2900 feet. The
        company, having proved the existence of coal, and with a title to mine under the waters of Sydney
        Harbour, granted in 1878, then looked for a site for its surface workings.

    Effort to spread discredited Russia collusion theory welcomed by McCain Senate panel, memos show

    Armed Services panel secretly fought court battle this summer to quash subpoena seeking records of contacts with ex-FBI official Daniel Jones and liberal-funded The Democracy Integrity Project nonprofit.

    The efforts to disseminate a now-discredited theory that the Trump campaign had secret computer communications with the Kremlin extended beyond the FBI, CIA, and State Department to the U.S. Senate.

    Under the late Sen. John McCain, the Armed Services Committee engaged a former FBI official and his progressive-funded nonprofit to produce a report on the matter, according to court records obtained by Just the News.

    The Senate committee, now under Democrats’ control, successfully waged a secret federal court battle this summer to quash a subpoena that would have forced one of its staffers, Thomas Kirk McConnell, to turn over documents and testify about his dealings with former FBI analyst Dan Jones and his nonprofit, The Democracy Integrity Project, the records show.

    A spokesman for George Soros confirms the progressive megadonor was one of the financial backers of The Democracy Integrity Project. Tax records show the group raised more than $7 million in donations in 2017 and hired Fusion GPS — the same firm that produced the debunked Steele dossier for Hillary Clinton’s campaign — to pursue allegations of foreign interference in elections.

    The episode, recounted in hundreds of pages of federal and D.C. Superior court records, provides extraordinary insight into how current and former government officials in multiple branches of government were able to sustain a Russia collusion theory on artificial life support for years after the FBI first dispelled it.

    Reuters reports on Norway:

    Norway will reopen society on Saturday, the government said, ending its coronavirus-curbing restrictions, which have limited social interaction and hobbled many businesses.

    The Nordic nation joins a small but growing number of countries, including Denmark and Britain, which have removed all domestic restrictions limiting the spread of the coronavirus.

    “It is 561 days since we introduced the toughest measures in Norway in peacetime … Now the time has come to return to a normal daily life,” Prime Minister Erna Solberg told a news conference. (snip)

    “In short, we can now live as normal,” Solberg said.

    Norway has a high level of vaccination — 76% of Norwegians have had at least one shot, and 67% have had two — and the government encourages its populace to get fully vaxxed.

    But in Croatia, President Zoran Milanović doesn’t buy into the vax frenzy, as Citizen Free Press reports:

    Croatians have been “vaccinated enough” and should be allowed to accept the risks of becoming infected with COVID on their own terms, according to President Zoran Milanović.

    President Milanović broke with the majority of his contemporaries in expressing frustration over medical authoritarianism and COVID hysteria pushed by the mainstream media and globalists.

    “Croatia is ‘not sufficiently vaccinated,’ unlike the E.U. average. We are only at 50 percent,” Milanović said in recent statements to the press. “I don’t care. We’re vaccinated enough and everyone knows it.”

    “We need to know what the goal of this frenzy is. If the goal is to completely eradicate the virus, then we have the goal. I have not heard that this is the goal. If someone tells me it’s a goal, I will tell him he’s out of his mind.”

    “I start every day with CNN and those few channels and I wonder if I am normal or are they crazy,” he said. “They spread panic. They do it from the beginning.”

    Covid NSW: Leaked emails show holes in hospital at home system

    Leaked emails from medical staff regarding the Hospital in the Home (HITH) program for Covid-positive patients reveal the system is plagued with confusion and constant changes.

    There have been 29 patients who have died of Covid in the home since June, one in 10 of the total 288 deaths, and half were being treated in the home care system.

    One email, sent on the 22nd of September to staff at a Western Sydney hospital, revealed the frustration with regards to constant changes being made to discharging patients from the in home program.

    “Sorry for yet another HITH email … unfortunately the process is constantly changing!

    Just to clarify, the EMR (electronic medical record) Clearance Discharge has changed, they no longer want us to use the letter template by (name removed), they want us to use the pre-completed document named ‘NBM Covid Clearance’ by (name removed).

    Another sent on September 8 reveals files of patients in HITH have gone missing.

    “If you do any admissions to HITH please allocate them a risk category. This will change how often they are called. Also, due to files going missing, patients requiring an admission will be on a list prepared by the team leader.”

    Every Local Health District has dedicated Covid community care teams who are to provide virtual care and daily clinical and welfare checks for patients at home and HITH and rely on a multidisciplinary workforce of doctors, nurses and allied health staff.

    “The daily clinical checks assess patient condition and there are clear escalation triggers in place for medical reviews and transfer to hospital if needed,” NSW Health said in a statement but one doctor who asked not to be named said the system was “terrifying” and “disorganised”.

    “We are not being told the numbers any more, but we have had a lot of deaths in the home. There’s been issues about who has jurisdiction of care, who can you discharge and the infectious disease department is so overwhelmed they’ve said it has to be someone else’s job,” the doctor said.

    “We are not infectious disease consultants, and we find it very hard to make a decision when the patients need to come into hospital, when they should stay at home or when they should be discharged from HITH,” the doctor said.

    Emails sighted by The Sunday Telegraph show various departments are unclear who is in charge of the system.

    One email sent to staff at the Western Sydney Hospital on the 17th of September said: “It would appear that they are devolving the responsibility to the local health authorities. It still is not clear how this directly affects our involvement. I have included the email I have sent to ID (Infectious Diseases) below for some clarification. For the time being we will continue as we have until ID responds and clarifies what has changed.

    “I just want to be clear on what my people are doing. At the moment we are admitting positive cases, dealing with medical issues, admitting patients to hospital, and discharging them from HITH.

    “If there is a question that people are not isolating or they cannot be contacted do we escalate to you or directly to public health?” the email said and another revealed staff were learning as they go.

    “Please also note that many of the nursing staff working in HITH, like us, are deployed from elsewhere and are learning how the system works as we go.”

    “We worry when they reduce restrictions we are not prepared, we are not even coping with good restrictions now,” the doctor said.

    Amex’s hypocrisy

    American Express last year announced that it finally cracked the Chinese market, going 50-50 with a Chinese firm to process credit-card transactions on the mainland. Amex billed the venture as a corporate milestone even if it will have to collaborate with a regime that crushes dissent and punishes ethnic minorities.

    Amex, of course, isn’t the only big US company conveniently overlooking Chinese oppression to make money in its markets. It may be among the most hypocritical in this pursuit if you believe the great reporting of Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, a New York-based think tank.

    According to Rufo, amid the firm’s deal-making with Communist China, it was engaging in a series of corporate woke indoctrination sessions that seemed straight out of a George Orwell novel. American Express brought in speakers to teach employees how America is an inherently racist country, dominated by white privilege, with a horrible history, and just a terrible place to live, Rufo reports.

    All this from a company that made $3.1 billion in evil profits last year.

    It takes a certain mind-bending idiocy for any US company — much less one called American Express — to embrace this buffoonery while doing business with one of the most oppressive regimes in the world. I have a call in to the p.r. people at Amex to ask them if their new Chinese employees have to sit through seminars about their country’s oppression.

    Still haven’t heard back.

    Gladys Berejiklian floundered while trying to answer a question about whether unvaccinated people would be allowed to visit public pools when restrictions lift.

    The NSW premier was announcing 961 new Covid cases on Sunday when she was blindsided by a reporter who asked about outdoor pools.

    She was told of a leaked local council email claiming staff and patrons did not need their Covid jabs to enter a public pool when they reopen on Monday.

    ‘All I know is that NSW Health has provided those guidelines to… the, the, uh… the people managing the public pools,’ she fumbled, before turning to Jeremy McAnulty from the NSW Ministry of Health.

    ‘Jeremy do you have? Do you want to? Is there anything you have? Is there anything you want?’ she asked, looking towards the doctor who stood off-screen.

    The reporter ignored her panicked stuttering and doubled down.

    Do they have to be vaccinated or not?’ he repeated. ‘It’s a simple question.’

    ‘Yeah,’ Ms Berejiklian said quietly, before she gave up and repeated information that had already been announced.

    ‘Obviously, the rules that we stated were at 70 per cent double-dosed – everybody has to be vaccinated,’ she said.

    Unsatisfied with her response, the journalist continued to demand a straight answer.

    ‘But do you need to be vaccinated to go to a public pool tomorrow?’ he asked.

    Ms Berejiklian replied: ‘Look, that was my understanding but if NSW Health has revised that – I’ve not see the email you’re talking about.’

    The reporter made the point that no one needs to be vaccinated to go to the beach or the Dawn Fraser Baths in Balmain, and asked if there would be different rules for indoor and outdoor pools.

    After almost a minute of fruitless attempts at an explanation, Dr McAnulty finally took his mask off and came to her rescue.

    ‘There are a range of other activities that can be done to keep people safe at pools – outdoor pools are outdoor, and by the nature of that there’s a much lower risk of transmission of Covid than indoors.’

    When asked whether vaccine will be mandatory for outdoor pools, Dr McAnulty said the government would make a decision.

    The sum total of the exchange was that parents and anyone else in need of a dip still have no idea if they need to be vaccinated when the pools reopen on Monday.

      There will be many situations like this. There will have to be one of two options. Enforce vaccine passports and create an apartheid like situation, or scrap the whole distinction between vaccinate an unvaccinated to get on with life. I feel she has painted herself in a corner and will find it hard to go with the second option, but if she doesn’t I suspect there will be resentment by a lot of people the likes we’ve never seen. I dare her to go with the first option – it might very well be her downfall. Same goes with other states. PM Morrison really should pull his finger out and state vaccination passports are illegal but he won’t because he supports them (he calls them certificates of vaccination) and that it’s a state responsibility. PM Morrison if you are reading this (unlikely) whether you realise it or not you are evil.

      I don’t recognise the Australia I once knew. It’s has become very much like a police state. It remains to be seen whether it will get worse or it’s just temporary. Also, it’s not just the police and the governments. It’s the MSM too as they have become the mouthpiece of the governments. The people have changed too – they have become jelly backed gullible fools lapping up the draconian measures. I’ve met people who can’t wait for the vaccination passports to be enforced so they can see those who are not vaccinated treated like dirt. We have become a sick and weak nation.

          I’ve seen similar comments some time ago. I think it says a lot about the culture of Australia. Don’t forget various state police forces have been exposed by numerous investigations to be corrupt in the past. I don’t think much has changed. There re good cops and there are bad ones. The trouble here is that it’s impossible to tell the difference since they all have the same uniform. Then there are the politicians. They just tell lies.

      We the physicians of the world, united and loyal to the Hippocratic Oath, recognizing the profession of medicine as we know it is at a crossroad, are compelled to declare the following;

      WHEREAS, it is our utmost responsibility and duty to uphold and restore the dignity, integrity, art and science of medicine;

      WHEREAS, there is an unprecedented assault on our ability to care for our patients;

      WHEREAS, public policy makers have chosen to force a “one size fits all” treatment strategy, resulting in needless illness and death, rather than upholding fundamental concepts of the individualized, personalized approach to patient care which is proven to be safe and more effective;

      WHEREAS, physicians and other health care providers working on the front lines, utilizing their knowledge of epidemiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology, are often first to identify new, potentially life saving treatments;

      WHEREAS, thousands of physicians are being prevented from providing treatment to their patients, as a result of barriers put up by pharmacies, hospitals, and public health agencies, rendering the vast majority of healthcare providers helpless to protect their patients in the face of disease. Physicians are now advising their patients to simply go home (allowing the virus to replicate) and return when their disease worsens, resulting in hundreds of thousands of unnecessary patient deaths, due to failure-to-treat;

      WHEREAS, this is not medicine. This is not care. These policies may actually constitute crimes against humanity.

      NOW THEREFORE, IT IS:

      RESOLVED, that the physician-patient relationship must be restored. The very heart of medicine is this relationship, which allows physicians to best understand their patients and their illnesses, to formulate treatments that give the best chance for success, while the patient is an active participant in their care.

      RESOLVED, that the political intrusion into the practice of medicine and the physician/patient relationship must end. Physicians, and all health care providers, must be free to practice the art and science of medicine without fear of retribution, censorship, slander, or disciplinary action, including possible loss of licensure and hospital privileges, loss of insurance contracts and interference from government entities and organizations – which further prevent us from caring for patients in need. More than ever, the right and ability to exchange objective scientific findings, which further our understanding of disease, must be protected.

      RESOLVED, that physicians must defend their right to prescribe treatment, observing the tenet FIRST, DO NO HARM. Physicians shall not be restricted from prescribing safe and effective treatments. These restrictions continue to cause unnecessary sickness and death. The rights of patients, after being fully informed about the risks and benefits of each option, must be restored to receive those treatments.

      RESOLVED, that we invite physicians of the world and all health care providers to join us in this noble cause as we endeavor to restore trust, integrity and professionalism to the practice of medicine.

      RESOLVED, that we invite the scientists of the world, who are skilled in biomedical research and uphold the highest ethical and moral standards, to insist on their ability to conduct and publish objective, empirical research without fear of reprisal upon their careers, reputations and livelihoods.

    Memories as a kid riding Manly Ferry Steamer Baragoola from Manly to Circular Quay and back watching the Stokers shovelling Coal into the Boiler

    Built by Morts Dock and Engineering Co. Ltd. in Balmain N.S.W., for the Port Jackson and Manly Steam Ship Company, S.S. Baragoola was launched on 14th February 1922, handed over on 31st August, and entered service on 3rd September 1922.

    Baragoola was converted from a steam ship to a motor vessel between December 1958 and December 1960. It had a long operational life of just over 60 years service, before retirement on 8th January 1983. After passing through a number of private owners, the ship was purchased by the Baragoola Preservation Association on 1st April 2010. It is afloat in static condition.

    The Baragoola was designed by Captain Andrew Christie of Morts Dock. It was built very similarly to the five previous Manly B-class ships constructed by this firm. However the hull was made slightly shorter and wider than the previously built “Barrenjoey type” and Baragoola’s sun deck was given distinctive rounded ends. The ship has a double-ended steel hull, with wooden superstructure, decks and wheelhouses. It has the following principal dimensions :-

    length 199.5ft (60.85 m),
    beam 34.1ft (10.4 m),
    depth 14ft (4.27m) with maximum draught of 12.3ft (3.75m)

    Note these figures are from A. Prescott’s thesis, but the ship’s dimensions vary slightly depending on the source quoted.
    The steel hull has a rudder and propeller at each end and is divided by five watertight bulkheads into six compartments. From the bow of the ship (the end with the anchors) as-built these were :-

    forward collision void and chain locker,
    forward hold and deckhands’ quarters,
    boiler room,
    (steam) engine room,
    aft hold and master’s and engineer’s quarters, and
    aft collision void.

    The lowest passenger deck is the main deck and as built the layout from the bow was :-

    gentlemens’ lavatories (under forecastle)
    gentlemens’ smoking saloon
    forward stairway
    main passenger saloon (open to the top of the steam engine behind the funnel casing)
    aft (rear) stairway
    ladies saloon with ladies lavatory at rear.

    The deck above the main deck is the promenade deck and as-built was originally open, other than wind break partitions. Passengers can move between the main and promenade decks by either the foward or aft staircases. There were two lifeboats mounted on the rear of this deck (on aftcastle).

    The deck above the promenade deck is the sun deck, which is the highest deck of the ship and was not normally accessible by passengers. The two wheelhouses were mounted at the ends of this deck with each probably originally containing Alley and McLennan steam stearing gear. Also as-built on this deck were the horn-shaped ventilation cowls for the boilers and engine room air intakes and the tall steamer funnel which was stabilised with four guy-wires.

    The ship’s original fair weather capacity was 1512 passengers. The original design for loading and unloading was by means of three gangways from the wharf to the main deck and three to the promenade deck above on each side of the ship. All saloon passenger access was by sliding doors.

    The vessel was rated at 490.03 gross tons (note this is a calculated carrying capacity not to be confused with its actual displacement mass)

    While Baragoola was locally built at the Morts Dock shipyard at Balmain.

    Baragoola’s Steam Engine and Operating Speed

    Baragoola was originally built as a coal-fired triple-expansion engined steamship.

    Steam was supplied by two “navy type” (locomotive) marine horizontal tubed boilers built by Morts Dock. Each boiler had three furnaces and a maximum steam pressure of 180 psi.

    Baragoola was fitted with a steam powered dynamo (DC generater) to provide electric lighting throughout the vessel.

    The main steam engine was also built by Morts Dock at Balmain and had three cylinders: The high pressure cylinder was 18 inches (457.2mm) diameter; the intermediate was 28 inches (711.2mm) and the low pressure was 47.5 inches (1206.5mm) diameter. The engine had a 27 inch (698.5mm) stroke. The steam engine was rated as 1300 indicated horsepower (lossless theorectical output figure) and 112 nominal horsepower (swept volumetric engine comparision figure).

    Allowing for 10% friction power loss within the steam engine, the shaft output (brake horse power) would therefore been around 870 kiloWatts. Baragoola’s measured average maximum acceptance trial (new) speed was 14.7 knots (27.2 km/h). This exceeded the contracted 14 knot minimum speed but Baragoola was slower than its two preceding sisterships; Balgowlah and Barrenjoey.

    Inexplicably the Baragoola was equipped with a less powerful engine than the design used on these two previous ships. In comparison to Baragoola, the 10.5 foot longer but 1.92 foot narrower Balgowlah, with its 1400 indicated horsepower rated engine, reached 16 knots on its acceptance trial.

    When it entered service Baragoola was faster than Binngarra and Burra Bra – the two oldest and slowest ships in the B-class fleet. However with the arrival of the faster Dee Why, Curl Curl and South Steyne, and the consequent retirement of all ships built before the Bellubera, Baragoola as a steam ship became the slowest ship in the Manly fleet.

    Like all the Manly screw steam ships, the steam engine was permanently connected by shafting to both single propellers at each end of the ship. The simultaneous turning of the fore and aft propellors by the steam engine would have reduced the transmitted propulsive power by up to 20 percent.

      They won’t be stopped simply because governments have no backbone to do anything about them. It’s the same reason why our own government refuses to do anything about the same sort of bias conducted by “our” ABC, as well as governments in other Western nations with their TV broadcasters, public or private. This might have been a good example of the quote “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” but for one thing. As been demonstrated by the action of the governments, they turned to the evil side as well. Since our governments are now on the side of evil it’s impossible to clamp down on social media platforms and broadcasters. The only real option is for people to stop using such platforms and use something else not influenced by evil people. We might not be able to change our governments to get rid of the evil but we can change which social media platforms we use and which TV channels we watch, or simply stop using them and DYOR, something that most people won’t do for a number of reasons.

      Does a good job of exposing the hypocrisy oozing out of PM Morrison. He should be ashamed of himself especially since he proclaims to be a Christian. That’s a laugh. If anything I consider him a wolf in sheep’s clothing, which is the Biblical way of describing a person who is evil, or at best a black sheep who lost his way. Too early to tell which one he is. Either way I pray one day he repents and finds his way back to our Lord’s side and not stay on the devil’s side.

    It’s all of a piece with the press conferences of the premiers whose daily scripts ignore the fact that being vaccinated does not prevent contracting the virus and does not prevent transmitting the virus. I’ve stopped blaming Brett Sutton for Daniel Andrews’s seeming ignorance as it has become all too obvious the misdirection is intentional.

      Come to Canberra. The green/labor government will not have any mandated discrimination. The ACT is one of the few jurisdictions with human rights legislation which limits government action like you fear, and an independent ombudsman to oversee it. You should drop 3AW and get on to The Saturday paper. Their editorial position aligns with yours. Funny old world aye?

      The only problem is that if you are unvaccinated and have no evidence of dispensation you wont be able to leave the state. You wont be able to visit elderly people in institutional homes (who have mandated discretion to exclude people who they think present a health risk to the residents). On the other hand if your personal freedoms are impinged by a business you are free to challenge them under the Act I just mentioned.

      Why some Australians are done with Covid vaccination rules

      If a bunch of unvaccinated people want to gather together, surely that is a matter for them, writes James Campbell.

      The mob that rampaged through the streets of Melbourne for several days last week might have been made up of the bad and sad with deluded views about vaccination which are unbacked by science.

      But on one point they are right to be angry.

      Australia’s leaders promised us the country’s vaccination program would be voluntary.

      Last month Scott Morrison was asked about this and he gave a clear and unambiguous statement which is worth quoting at length.

      “The vaccination program in Australia is free and it is not mandatory,” the Prime Minister said.

      “That is a very important principle. We are not going to seek to impose a mandatory vaccination program by the Government, by stealth. That is not what we’re going to do” before going on to say: “it is important that Australians know that we are not going to seek to impose a mandatory vaccination program in this country by some other means. There have been some isolated cases which have already been identified – quarantine workers and aged care workers. They are the only areas that any states or territories or the Commonwealth has suggested that we’re providing some statutory or a public health order enforcement of such a mandating.”

      A month later Victoria’s chief health officer Brett Sutton shut the lunchrooms on Victoria’s building sites and ordered that every worker have at least one jab before being allowed to work.

      Now you could argue that wasn’t this wasn’t the Prime Minister’s fault, after all, Sutton does what he likes barely any reference to the Victorian Government, let alone Canberra.

      But the fact is that every state and territory and leader who has sat in national cabinet has connived at creating the impression that barring a few industries that dealt with the vulnerable, the rest of us would be given a choice about whether we want to get vaccinated.

      And it turns out this is a lie.

      In NSW from next month when the double vaxxed rate hits 70 per cent of the eligible population over 16 only those who have vaccinated will be able to go to the pub, eat out, attend public events.

      These pleasures will continue to be forbidden to the unvaccinated.

      But as I said, it’s hard to square Gladys’s unvaxxed home visit ban and Dan’s no-jab no-start diktat with the statement from Scott Morrison I quoted earlier.

      You also have to ask whether it’s really wise.

      All the polling shows the overwhelming majority of us are going to get jabbed if we haven’t been already.

      But there is also a substantial minority – almost 10 per cent according to the Melbourne Institute – who have no intention of doing so.

      Are we really prepared for a society in which 10 per cent of the adult population are effectively excluded from the economy?

      What are the chances this will increase the number of them who hold other, ahem, more problematic views?

      Moreover, while according to all the polls a majority of the population backs privileges for the vaccinated, the size of the minorities ought to be giving our rulers pause for thought.

      According to the Melbourne Institute’s findings – backed up by a recent YouGov poll – it would seem around one-in-five people are against being made to provide evidence they’re vaccinated to enter bars, restaurants and sporting venues.

      After the week that we’ve just been through here in Melbourne, this strikes me as a recipe for trouble.

      Still, you can see how we got here.

      Newspoll: Morrison government trailing as key states drift away

      The decline has been led by a loss of support among part-time and blue-collar workers and low to middle-income earners, according to the quarterly analysis of Newspoll surveys conducted between July and September.

    The world’s biggest solar PV and battery storage project, Sun Cable, has been expanded up to to a mind-bending 20 gigawatts for the solar component of the Northern Territory proposal, and 36-42GWh of battery storage.

    So that is now a Solar plant 20x bigger than any currently constructed, and a battery 50 x bigger than any so far operational !
    And to top it off /make it worthwhile, a 4000km HVDC cable laid across the ocean to Singapore !
    This should be fun to watch develop !

      Meanwhile, Giles an his worshipers over at RE , are partying at the suggestion that RE sources (Wind, Solar, and Hydro) apparently achieved 61% of the total power supply…briefly… at midday last Friday.
      However, …there are a few realities they chose to ignore…
      1) 30 % of that was from ROOF TOP solar ( an estimate , since it is impossible to measure)
      2) So the RE component of GRID supplied power (17 GW), was actually only 41% (7.5 GW)
      3) at 17 GW that grid demand was one of the lowest last week, so 41% of that is no big achievement !
      4) this “record” lasted just a brief period until the noon sun passed and RE declined to its sub 20% contribution for the evening peak demand.
      5 ). And , no mention of all those other periods when RE contribution is well below 10%.

          I have two nieces whom are nurses, they got a covid allowance, and did FA as the joints were virtually closed. The aged care were dumped weeks ago, my bee mentors wife works at one, she got stuck to keep her job, she said that all aged care are desperately short of staff now.

          I just got this email from the nurse that organises our astandinthepark group. extract below.

          Hi all
          Please see attachment.

          This Thursday, all Queensland health employees (and that includes Ambulance) have the option to be jabbed or to be stood down without pay.
          Over the next few weeks this will include Teachers, Police and firefighters.It will not stop here.

          I am aware of how difficult it is to speak against those who control your profession. The lives of most of those now standing up and not complying to this mandate are filled with tears, with sadness, grief and at times despair. This group contains pregnant women, young and old, 99% of all medical exceptions are being denied.

          The courage they will require to stand in front of their place of work will be enormous. Us standing with them will strengthen their resolve that they are on the right path and know they are not alone.

          This Friday, the esplanade outside of cairns has been identified Cairns hospital has been identified as a meeting place. Atherton has also been mentioned as a few staff from this area are now without employment. If Tablelands staff want to go to Atherton. I say we go join them there. This is our main medical facility, if they are willing to let good staff go for the sake of an injection – will they be refusing our service next?

          If you want to bring signs, please let them be non-confrontational. We need to bring people towards their plight, not push them away.
          Please save the date, I will forward you the place and time as soon as it is known.

          Maybe they are imagining it, sampling the wears maybe. I may not agree entirely with their views, but I will be there Friday, standing with them.

            Sounds ludicrous because movement in to the country is limited, teachers overseas qualified to teach here probably aren’t just sitting around waiting for a job in Aus,and most of all the deadline for teachers to be double jabbed in Vic is still two months away and in NSW 6 weeks away.               That’s just copied and pasted out of the email, it was explained to me on Sunday as “leave without pay”. They won’t sack them, that would be against their conditions, they want them to quit.
              Their unions are ignoring the workers, my union days we would strike Aus wide for one unfair dismissal.

              The Kelly/Latham bit was in a twitter thread about the cops antics, I don’t do twitter so not sure how that works (it was 300 NSW), as the thread seemed a mix of many things.

              According to Gov stats 100 000 people passed through hotel quarantine in July alone, not little movements.

                I won’t even click on an ABC link, give them no views.

                A click might help their viewer stats but it doesn’t help their finances without advertising. When googling info that you know exists to refute a “lefty” comment (having read or seen the info previously on a non-ABC source), it’s handy to be able to use an ABC link to show them because:
                a) if you use a Sky News link or other Murdoch source they won’t believe it,
                b) if you use a Herald Sun or Australian or some other main daily paper link it’s often behind a paywall and they won’t be able to view it,
                c) they have to accept the info if their beloved ABC says it’s so.

    “We looked at the antibody levels in those groups and what we saw was that the people who had COVID had very highly variable levels of antibodies ranging over a very large interval and the amount of antibodies they had depended on how severe their infection was. So, someone who has a really severe infection can have antibody levels that are a thousand times higher than somebody who had a mild case of COVID, and wasn’t hospitalized. And what we found was that after vaccination people have antibody levels that are higher than people who had mild COVID by a lot, and get close to the levels, not quite as high, but almost as high as people who had severe COVID.

    Then we find that someone who had COVID and then gets vaccinated has the highest antibody levels. Higher than severe COVID-19 and higher than vaccine alone. It didn’t matter how mild or severe their COVID was, after they get vaccinated they reach a very high level regardless of what their previous antibody level was. The combination of COVID plus vaccination brings people to this a ceiling of the highest they could get.

    Yang explained that natural immunity is dependent upon the individual’s level of infection:

    The question of whether natural immunity is stronger or better than the vaccine immunity from the standpoint of antibodies is that it depends on how severe the person’s infection was. If a person had a very mild infection, then the antibody levels are going to be much less than you would achieve with vaccination. If a person had very, very severe COVID requiring hospitalization then they have antibody levels that are similar to what you get with vaccination, maybe a little bit higher than what you get with vaccination.

    And if somebody even had very mild COVID and barely had any antibodies after their COVID and they get vaccinated they have a huge amount of antibodies. That’s very high.

    He continued, saying that the vaccine provides the most protection from severe illness or death and that people ignore the role of T-cells when focusing on antibodies:

    Actually T-cells are as important, if not more important, and that’s reflected by the fact that with the delta variant escaping antibodies and antibodies declining, over time breakthrough infections are becoming very common after vaccinations.

    But protection from severe illness and death is still extremely good with the vaccines. So if you look at the data in Israel, where they put us to shame in terms of keeping better track of what’s going on, what you see is that people that have been vaccinated five months ago, the vaccine is only 16% effective in preventing an infection. But it’s still well over 90% in terms of preventing someone from getting sick enough and needing to go to the hospital.

    TGA’s admission about at-home Covid tests

    The medical regulator has pushed back responsibility for Australia’s go-slow approach to at-home Covid tests on to the federal government, suggesting the setback was a deliberate action until vaccination rates were higher.

    Health Minister Greg Hunt on Monday said rapid tests could be approved for at-home use by Christmas.

    But that direction has yet to be shared with the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

    Deputy Secretary John Skerritt said while the regulator was working to that time frame, it was still waiting for the green light to begin the approval process.

    “We can‘t formally make an approval decision until we get a signal from government,” Professor Skerritt said.

    “They have to make a decision, you know, when is it less of a big deal to start missing some positive cases, because we know these rapid antigen tests are pretty good, but they’re not as good as the gold standard PCR test.”

    The TGA boss’s admission indicates the slow adoption of at-home tests was likely engaged to lower the risk of false negatives or individuals hiding positive test results.

    “Governments still have to make a decision on… do they want a system in place where every positive rapid test is captured?

    “In other words, that the state and territories know as soon as there’s a positive test or not. And those decisions all have to still be made.”

    Currently 51.8 per cent of the population aged 16 and over is fully vaccinated.

    Huge news from the UK. The government is quietly ditching green energy to go nuclear to keep its zero-carbon commitments. A U-turn this big has to be done quietly, but the Sunday Times twigged it on yesterday’s front page. Rolls Royce will make and install at least 16 small reactors, and two or three large ones will likely be built. This will cost a lot – we should be fracking as well – but it will be much cheaper than wind plus electricity plus some form of storage that doesn’t even exist yet. The Cabinet has gazed into the abyss and seen sense (and its desire to be re-elected).

    The context is the recent precipitous rise in gas prices, plus the imminence of the COP26 climate junket that will take place in Glasgow in November, the first in this annual conference series since covid and the first since the IPCC’s 6th Assessment Report. Watch for COP26 Minister Alok Sharma’s civil servants to start accepting exhibitions and presentations by the nuclear industry at COP26; so far they have rejected a number well into double figures.

    The UK can push its present nuclear reactors a bit longer, as can France with its reactors, which provide 70% of French electricity. But Germany, which is decarbonising *and* closing its reactors, is toast – and it subsidises the rest of the EU. Interesting times ahead!

    Of course this does not upgrade the electricity grid to the extent necessary to recharge the number of cars on the road if they were all replaced by electric ones. Or electrify all railways. Both of those projects would require enormous sums of money. But soon enough this green energy insanity will be called out.
