Infrastructure Bill Includes Capitol Building Expansion To Hold All The Pfizer Lobbyists

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senate leaders revealed today that Biden’s “Build Back Better” infrastructure plan will include $86 Billion for a brand-new Capitol Building construction project. The Capitol will be expanded to hold 100 Senators, 435 Representatives, and 1,423 Pfizer lobbyists.

Not satire:

There’s plenty more lobbying where that came from:

Pfizer’s full FDA approval could lead to even greater profits

      • By Melissa Holzberg and Tara Suter, Open Secrets

Pfizer reported $5.6 billion in net income during the second quarter of 2021 — that’s up more than $2 billion (from $3.5 billion) from its second quarter of 2020 report to the Securities and Exchange Commission. In the first half of 2021, Pfizer reported nearly $10.5 billion in net income. The company brought in $6.9 billion in the first six months of 2020.

In 2020, Pfizer spent $13.2 million on its lobbying efforts — that’s up from $11 million in 2019 and the most the company has spent on lobbying since 2009 during the debate over the Affordable Care Act.

Speaking of profiteering:

Merck’s 4,000% Markup of Taxpayer-Funded COVID Drug Is ‘Extortion,’ Critics Say

Pharma giant Merck is facing accusations of price gouging after it charged the U.S. more than $700 per patient for a taxpayer-funded coronavirus treatment that, according to research, costs just $17.74 to produce.

And plenty of ways to potentially lobby:

Political staffers and top bureaucrats score good Pfizer jobs. Nice career path if you can get it:

REVEALED: Pfizer Lobbying Hits Decade High as DOZENS of High-Profile Political Appointees Become Big Pharma Reps

by Natalie Winters and Raheem Kassam October 6, 2021, RightsFreedoms

Many of the new Big Pharma hires have come from consulting firms with deep and historical links to the current White House, and President Joe Biden himself. In October alone Pfizer tapped Sudafi Henry, Joe Biden’s former legislative affairs director from his days as Vice President.

David Schiappa, a longtime Republican staff member of the Senate holding the role of Secretary for Leader Mitch McConnell, is also lobbying for Pfizer.

It might be all legal. What would stop this trainwreck? An investigative media.

I would also like to point out that there is no evidence for this being satire.
As no less than the Speaker of the House proclaimed, “we have to pass bills to know what’s in the them.”
Jo, your satire label is unsupported by evidence.
To verify this ‘satire’ label will require years of sifting through 1000s of pages of bureaucratic coded documentation.

American Fascism may actually go back 200 years to the birth of the Democratic party itself. Andrew Jackson tore the native Americans from their homelands and put them on the trail of tears. Democrats first hundred years also includes the fight to maintain slavery, the KKK, Wilsons segregation of the Federal workforce, and jailing objectors to WWI who weren’t let out of prison until Warren Harding did so in 1921. You’ve gotta’ admit, it was a pretty good start.

Another cost of business are the billion dollar fines Big Pharma has reportedly had to pay in recent times, for all their ethical breaches. They just set their prices a bit higher to cover those expenses.

Big Business pays for lobbying. Lobbyists target crooked politicians. Those politicians give Big Business what it wants… and it’s understood they’ll get a job with Big Business, after they retire from politics, either (a) in the boardroom or (b) as a lobbyist.

It weird. You are correct. And it is Nazi evil.

The manmade ‘drugs’ to treat let say schizophrenia or depression, do not cure schizophrenia or depression. The antipsychotic drugs suppress brain cell activity (they are major tranquillizers) which is not a cure. Long term this causes the brain to shrink, organ damage, early death, and dementia. The brain suppressing/altering drugs, long term, are not safe or useful. The pharmaceutical ‘tests’ of new brain altering chemicals Vs ‘Mental’ illness is for six weeks, against a placebo.

80% of Schizophrenia patients and 80% of the clinically depressed patients (Clinical depression use to be rare) prior to drug use … Recovered and did not require treatment and lived normal lives. Most of these people are now on public support.

Schizophrenia and clinical depression are chronic conditions which destroy lives and those suffering end up on public support, because of the long term side effects of the drugs. This fact, how the drugs damage the brain and cause suicides, has found a Boston reporter who wrote a book that summarized the scam.

            https://www.amazon.com/Anatomy-Epidemic-Bullets-Psychiatric-Astonishing/dp/1491513217
Anatomy of an Epidemic: Magic Bullets, Psychiatric Drugs, and the Astonishing Rise of Mental Illness in America
“This plague of disabling mental illness has now spread to our children, too. In 1987, there were 16,200 children under eighteen years of age (William: In the US) who received an SSI (William: SSI social security disability insurance) payment because they were disabled by a serious mental illness.

But starting in 1990, the number of mentally ill children began to rise dramatically, and by the end of 2007, there were 561,569 such children on the SSI disability rolls. In the short span of twenty years, the number of disabled mentally ill children rose thirty-five fold (William: and the prescriptions of psychoactive drugs to children has also risen by 35 times). Mental illness is now the leading cause of disability in children, with the mentally ill group comprising 50 percent of the total number of children on the SSI rolls in 2007.”

Same statics for depression. ‘Treatment’ for ‘Depression’ in the US has increased by a factor ten. The chemicals prescribed for ‘depression’ cause long term chemical damage to the brain.

The Cochrane Center had made it clear that there was a great deal of duplicate publication. The four initial trials of Zypexa in schizophrenia for instance had given rise to 234 publications – of one sort or another – almost entirely company written.

Not one publication hinted that patients in these trails had the highest suicide rate in clinical trials history; suicide was in fact rare in schizophrenia before the advent of antipsychotics (22). Not one publication mentioned that the patients in these trails went on to develop diabetes at a rate triple the background rate in the general population, when diabetes was almost unheard of in schizophrenia before antipsychotics (23). The publications concealed the extent of weight gain in the patients given Zypexa, whose weight often ballooned by anything from 20 to 140 pounds.

These and subsequent publications also failed to reveal that, regardless of diagnosis, Zypexa raised cholesterol levels more than almost any other drug in medicine – although Zypexa had received a patent in part based on company claims that it would be less likely than other antipsychotics to raise cholesterol levels.

In January 2007, Eli Lilly agreed to pay $500 million to settle 18,000 Zyprexa lawsuits from people who claim they developed diabetes or other health problems. Including earlier settlements, the company paid about $1.2 billion to resolve lawsuits involving 28,500 people.

Eli Lilly Pays $1.42 Billion to Settle Investigation Over Zyprexa Marketing
In January 2009, the Justice Department accepted a $1.42 billion settlement after Eli Lilly agreed to plead guilty for promoting Zyprexa for “off-label” uses that were not approved by the FDA.
Investigators say Eli Lilly promoted Zyprexa for elderly adults with dementia — including patients with Alzheimer’s — which are unapproved uses. The label now has a “Black Box” warning that Zyprexa increases the risk of death for elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis.

In 2007, the FDA issued a black box warning for Prozac about the increased risks of suicidal thoughts and behavior during initial treatment. The FDA considered initial treatment to be the first one to two months of taking Prozac.
What are the dangers of taking Prozac during pregnancy?

SSRI’s have been classified a Category C safety for pregnant women.
In July 2011, a case study revealed that the use of SSRI’s during the first trimester of pregnancy are linked with an increased risk of autism in a child.

            Prozac Lawsuits
Thousands of people have filed claims against Eli Lilly & Co., the makers of Prozac. Although the FDA approved the drug in 1987, there were links to side effects like suicidal thoughts and violent behavior by 1990. The FDA has forced that Prozac’s labels be adjusted to warn users of the dangers; it has not been recalled from the market. In addition, Prozac carries a black box warning from the FDA.

I thought the US govt poured billions into the Covid vaccine R&D and it wasn’t left to just the drug companies to fund it.

Sure, drug companies do take financial risks on trying to develop drugs and the investment and risk needs to be recouped plus more.
But another example. Between 2000 – 2019 there was $15.3b spent on HIV research. 80% govt funded and 11% donations. Ony 9% drug company.

      >”Pharmaceuticals have a very high upfront R&D cost”

Malaria vaccine development time – 30 years.

Corona “vaccine” development time – 10 months to Phase III starting January 2020 (Pfizer).

What was the upfront R&D + Development cost to Pfizer over 10 months (see below)?

It would be a fraction of $10.5 billion first half 2021 NET income alone. I’m not buying the “very high upfront R&D cost” idea for this particular “vaccine”.

      Also,

      Operation Warp Speed

The first news report of Operation Warp Speed was on April 29, 2020,[3][4][5] and the program was officially announced on May 15, 2020

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Warp_Speed

Pfizer didn’t take US funding, those that did:

      Johnson & Johnson
      AstraZeneca–University of Oxford
      Moderna
      Novavax
      Merck and IAVI
      Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline

As of October 2020, Operation Warp Speed had spent less than $1 billion to support the development and manufacturing of three monoclonal antibody treatments, versus almost $10 billion on six vaccines.

      Meanwhile,

      Pfizer–BioNTech
The BioNtech project to develop a novel mRNA technology for a COVID-19 vaccine was called “Project Lightspeed”, which started in mid-January 2020 at BioNTech’s laboratories in Mainz, Germany, just days after the SARS-Cov-2 genetic sequence was first made public.[52] In September 2020, BioNTech received €375 million (US$445 million) from the government of Germany to accelerate the development and production capacity of the Pfizer–BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

So US and German taxpayers footed much of the “vaccine” development bill – NOT Big Pharma.

Problem is, there’s been an unfortunate aftermath to these “vaccines”:

‘Nearly all “covid” deaths in September occurred in the fully vaccinated [UK]’

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) in the United Kingdom has released a new dataset showing that 81 percent of everyone who died in the month of September after testing “positive” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) was “fully vaccinated” in accordance with government guidelines.

In the U.K. alone during the month of September, some 30,305 people died within 21 days of getting injected for the Chinese Flu. This was an inadvertent admission by the ONS, which had previously told inquiring minds that “they do not hold this information.”

        https://www.naturalnews.com/2021-10-10-nearly-all-covid-deaths-september-fully-vaccinated.html

Status of those injected in the US is unvaccinated within 14 days of injection – so a vaccine induced death within 14 days is an “unvaccinated” statistic (lies, damn lies…).

Heart attacks up 25% in Scotland which started “vaccinating” in Dec 2020. Diabolical accounts of vax injuries in the US which also started in Dec.

Australia is lagged 2 months, New Zealand 4 months. So what is turning up now in the North, Australia can expect in 2 months time and New Zealand in 4 months time.

          >”Heart attacks up 25% in Scotland”

          The crux is this:

“Vaccine” spike protein binds to ACE-2 receptor. ACE-2 normally releases blood thinner but that ability is now compromised.

ACE-2 function is balanced by ACE-1 which releases blood coagulant. But that balance is now compromised.

          Result – Hypercoagulation

In the U.K. alone during the month of September, some 30,305 people died within 21 days of getting injected for the Chinese Flu.

30,000 people usually die every 21 days in the UK. That figure is pretty consistent each year 2015 to 2019 as an annual total deaths averaged for each 21 day period. I don’t know about the average for the month of Sept specifically though.
The UK had 73,000 covid deaths in 2020 and the total deaths in the UK for 2020 was 608,000. 76,000 above the average for the previous 5 year average. Very similar to the covid death total.

Will be interesting to see if the 2021 total deaths depart from the typical average plus covid death total by much. If it doesn’t depart much it would seem most likely the 30K who died within 21 days of the vaccine were going to die in that timeframe anyway. If there’s an unexplained jump in total deaths then maybe people were killed by the jab.

81 percent of everyone who died in the month of September after testing “positive” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) was “fully vaccinated”

Of course the majority of those who die will be the vaccinated. Nearly 90% of those aged over 70 are vaccinated. I bet if you look into the stats you quote the cause of death isn’t necessarily covid. It’s simply a death where the person tested positive to covid within 21 days prior to their death, but the cause of death isn’t necessarily a covid death.

It’s funny that many people were claiming covid isn’t a really bad virus because deaths attributed to covid were false in many cases. That the death was with covid and not because of covid. Now we have people saying the vaccine isn’t effective because of people dying with covid and not because of covid.

Heart attacks up 25% in Scotland

Sounds like it might be a jab problem but is the increase due to a lack of doctor consultation during covid restrictions. Is it a consequence of getting covid. Or is it jab related.

“”A hallucination is a fact, not an error; what is erroneous is a judgment based upon it.” -Bertrand Russell

“Debates over causality in biomedical data are poorly framed. The fact of the matter is, causality cannot ever rise above the level of opinion (until such time at which all the mysteries of the universe are unraveled, which seems exceedingly unlikely in the age of “Trust the Science”). Criteria such as Bradford-Hill are not what guides most doctors and scientists who often form opinions based on some subset of those or other criteria because any evidence is better than no evidence. But weaker opinions turn to stronger ones when the evidence suggests a mechanistic picture, however we check the criteria boxes.

            “The Evidence Comes Together

“We already have plenty of evidence painting a picture of a great deal of COVID-19 and vaccine-associated injury caused by the spike protein (here and here). Recent research (Patterson et al, 2021) suggests long haulers have a hard time exercising until spike protein filters from the body, which dovetails into evidence we discuss below. In this article, we discuss the addition of both dose dependence and delivery dependence of damage associated with mRNA inoculations (Pfizer and Moderna) to the evidence pool. As we continue, ask yourself what evidence would move your needle [of judgment] toward a likelihood of substantial vaccine-induced mortality if all of this does not.

Seems to me, given the life expectancies, this is something of a Pascal’s Gamble.

            Voluntary choices, either:

            1. No “vaccine”, no vax injury risk (including death), normal life expectancy but risk of virus mitigated by protective measures.

            2. “Vaccine”, vax injury risk (including death), normal life expectancy compromised by dual virus/vax risk (“breakthrough” of former).

            1 risk vs 3 risks.

Why voluntarily choose 3 risks over 1 given the vax injuries and death that can ensue?

400 people per shift, 2 shifts a day. People from all over the world. Being food we were already washing hands around 6 – 9 times a shift and lots of mask wearing because kiwifruit dust.

Social distancing and plexiglass screens introduced (although neither proven to prevent transmission). This for “compliance”.

No cases over entire season except one manager of a our Vanuatu seasonal workers hostel. Probably brought in by a backpacker from Rotorua but manager evicted half the Vanuatuans anyway.

There were no vaccines at this time to force mutation (ADE). Point being that vaccines of any type (even real conventional attenuated virus type) should NOT be introduced DURING an epi/pandemic because then a virus has no reason to mutate and natural immunity can develop.

Meanwhile construction sites were closed down where workers were distanced by the nature of work e.g. individual enclosed vehicles. I thought at the time this was insane because I was driving to/from work on a closed down roadworks bypass where I was one of the very few roadusers.

It would have been the ideal time to complete the work.

          Worse worldwide:

‘Over 2.1 million vaccine injuries reported to WHO over just the last nine months’

The database [VigiAccess] contains an Adverse Drug Reactions tab that allows the public to understand the type of medical issues associated with a specific vaccine. The covid-19 vaccines are causing blood and lymphatic system disorders, vaginal hemorrhaging, endometrial cancers, myocarditis, blood clots, stillbirth, renal failure and cardiac disorders. There are over 10,000 anaphylactic reactions, over 75,000 cases of chest pain and discomfort. Cases of arrhythmia (5774), atrial fibrillation (5450), myocardial infarction (4035) , angina pectoris (3098), and cardiac arrest (2719) are just beginning of the cardiac disorders observed post vaccination.

‘New Zealand woman dies of ‘very rare side-effect’ after Pfizer jab’

Director-general of health Ashley Bloomfield said myocarditis is a “very rare side-effect” and vaccination was much safer than the risk of being infected with Covid-19.

National Political Propagandist Anthony Fauci Expresses His Sadness as COVID Cases Drop Rapidly

Positive COVID-19 cases have plummeted nationally. Symptomatic cases as well severe illness, hospitalizations and death have also collapsed. Given the scientific discussion surrounding variant strength and transmissibility, my own belief is that the number of non-vaccinated Americans has stabilized; and the hardcore unvaxxed group, with strong natural antibody immunity – or strong immune systems writ large, is now defeating virus pop-ups in significant enough population scale/strength to drop the infection rate.

However, as the infection rate declines, and the number of severe illness cases drops dramatically, Dr. Anthony Fauci is reduced to the position of a hammer looking for a nation of diminishing nails. Fauci appears very sad today on CNN, as the little shred of his expertise that remains is increasingly useless.

Regulatory Capture is where the industry expands its reach to have laws favourable to the industry enacted by lawmakers who depend on that industry for funding. This is a feature of the system, and is particularly advanced in America’s Health Care (the most expensive in the world) sector, America’s Financial (too big to fail) or the American tech sector (lets ban better technology from china), or lets self regulate like Boing and its 737 Max

I blame the green leftists, despite the fact that they have never been in positions of power, that is just an example of how cleaver they are

    166

    • #
      David Maddison

Peter is actually mostly correct on this except that he blames Greens when in fact it is all Leftists in general, including those Leftists who falsely label themselves conservatives, Malcolm Turnbull and Matt Kean being two notable examples.

For those that don’t know what “regulatory capture” is, Wikipedia has a surprisingly honest definition (See my quote at bottom).

It is a powerful method by which the Left are destroying free enterprise and Western Civilisation in general. It is essentially the system that the National Socialists used. Yes, they did allow private companies but they had to do exactly what the state wanted, as directed. The state did not have the resources to do as they wanted so they had to allow these private companies to exist.

This is how both Big Green and Big Pharma make their money. It is NOT by free enterprise in free markets.

And a reminder, the leadership of the
firms, I.G. Farben and Krupp were charged with war crimes at Nuremberg.

Even civilian contractors to evil regimes don’t get to claim “they were just following orders”.

In politics, regulatory capture (also client politics) is a form of corruption of authority that occurs when a political entity, policymaker, or regulator is co-opted to serve the commercial, ideological, or political interests of a minor constituency, such as a particular geographic area, industry, profession, or ideological group.

When regulatory capture occurs, a special interest is prioritized over the general interests of the public, leading to a net loss for society. The theory of client politics is related to that of rent-seeking and political failure; client politics “occurs when most or all of the benefits of a program go to some single, reasonably small interest (e.g., industry, profession, or locality) but most or all of the costs will be borne by a large number of people (for example, all taxpayers)”.

If the demand for Australia’s iron ore, coal and gas keeps going the way it is, the government will be able to supply free power to residents.

As long as the developed world keeps chasing the unsustainable then there will be ever rising demand. The developed world keeps doubling down. Spend money and it does nothing. Spend more money and it does nothing. Spend even more money and guess what – yep, it does nothing. As long as Australia is a prime beneficiary of all that money then it is good news for Australia.

But in the meantime we have completely lost the net zero argument.

Only if you view it as an argument.

For me it has been an income provider – pragmatic use of subsidies. I do not have household energy bills.

The unsustainablity of grid scale random energy generators means that they can never reduce CO2 globally. The UK claims a 70% reduction in CO2 but they are using the goods made from fossil fuelled manufacturers elsewhere.

Australian exports have benefitted greatly from this mindless waste of resources. Lets keep the party going for as long as the simpletons consider random energy sustainable.

It might take some resolve this year as the northern hemisphere freezes through winter so ScoMo must do his best to keep the belief alive. I read today that China has given up on limiting coal and ordered more coal fired power stations and more mines.
      https://edition.cnn.com/2021/10/08/business/china-coal-power-shortage-climate-intl-hnk/index.html

China has ordered its coal mines to ramp up production in a bid to ease a power crisis, as the country struggles to balance its need for electricity with efforts to tackle the climate crisis.

Even the CCP recognises it is doomed if the population are literally freezing to death. Europeans are not so smart. And Biden is as thick as two planks.

The gas price in the UK has achieved lift-off and now going vertical.

This is an argument that Australians do not want to win. Australia is best placed to benefit from the insanity – Australians need to keep the circus going.

I think we hit a perfect storm with COVID 19. The lobbying of US senators etc by Big pharma has been going on for decades. The tactics used by Pharmaceutical industry to influence the marketing of their products have become much more refined over the years. Also, more concentrated with the consolidation of the pharmaceutical industry in general. Once, there were many companies originating in different countries. Now, fewer bigger companies ( via mergers etc) in many less countries. With COVID all the lobbying machinery just went into overdrive. The problem with the FDA is they have such big influence over the regulatory authorities worldwide. If a drug or vaccines is approved by the FDA in the US it would be a very brave regulatory authority in a country to then not approve the product. That would apply to our TGA. With a population of just 25m do you think our regulatory body would have the courage to question the registration package for the COVID vaccines? Of course not. Maybe point out a missing comma in the 2nd paragraph. Then you have the conflict of interest situation. When you have relatively small industries (total personnel not $) it is very difficult to have people in regulatory authorities with expertise WITHOUT having a conflict of interest. More than likely their expertise has been gained by working in commercial fields. Sure, you can employ academics but their practical experience is generally very limited. Hence, there is this interchange of personnel between eg FDA and pharmaceutical companies. Probably the same with FAA and airline companies.

    140

Wherever there are subsidies you find professional subsidy collectors. Everywhere the two go together. But there’s more, relevant here.

In the 1980 drought the price of lucerne hay was $3 a bale. Production was at full capacity.

Supposedly to save starving livestock, the NSW government applied a dollar for dollar subsidy to lucerne hay.

The price immediately went to $6 a bale. With production already flat out, this did not bring an immediate lift in supply. No more livestock were saved.

Some smart producers borrowed money to tool up and increase production, which takes a year or more.

At the end of the year the drought broke, the subsidy was withdrawn, and the price returned to $3 a bale.

Producers who had borrowed against $6 a bale went broke.

The tip of a very large corruption iceberg! The Marxist social engineers who ensure they are well fed are never the ones, in pseudo democracies, who have to pay the debt. There is no denying that the US is now a democracy in name only. The taxpayers are irritatingly necessary third class citizens to the salivating elites who barely waited for the inauguration podium to be put away, before they started fighting over the spoils and pushing their social agenda executive order to the top of the pile. Then comes the new voter, sorry destitute immigrant, ferried over the border to hopefully take many of the jobs the unvaccinated vacate, so the rampant unemployment has a positive spin.

All Australians should be squarely behind this madness. It is not sustainable so make hay while the sun shines. It appears it will be a loooong time before the fruit loops in charge of the vaults stop the money supply. Make the most of it. It is fabulous for the Australian economy. It will fuel commodity demand until the fruit loops realise it does not work. At least in places that make stuff like China. Other places can pretend it works at least until the lights go out.

Happy Freedom Day NSW, or lockdown day for regional NSW, where the non double dosed are now locked down from society – but it’s still called freedom day. Just yesterday they had no restrictions on them at all. Even me Missus who has one shot is locked down too.

I actually don’t mind, though it is a pain I need a hair cut badly. I’m thinking of the clippers, as I look quite jewish mind 1940’s with feshly no hair, which is kind of artistic given my new outcast status in society.

Today I dont call Freedom Day, but Invasion Day. I’d say that virus is travelling up the Pacific Hwy right now, probably about 2 hrs away. So I’m hitting the bunker as much as is possible.

By December 1, which is only 6 weeks, those restrictions are coming off. Apparently. I find that amazing. That’s not long.

    Hello Jo,

Yes, lobbying (especially secretive lobbying) is one of the major curses undermining our so-called liberal democracies. See for example:-

    1. Tamasin Cave & Andy Rowell, “A Quiet Word – lobbying, crony capitalism and broken politics in Britain”, Vintage, 2015.
    2. L. Cockcroft & A-C Wegener, “Unmasked – corruption in the West”, I.B. Taurus, 2017.

When I wrote to my MP here in the UK about this problem in about 2015 I received the reply that the government was currently not minded to do anything about it.

    Regards,
    John.
