I read just now that, during the protes in Ottawa, a small bunch of people staged a counter protest, yelling at the truckers.
This isn’t surprising. it’s what ‘they’ do. The vegan latte-sipping and purple-haired uni student sets have fondly and enthusiastically embraced protest as a means to push the leftist agenda for many years, yet seem less than happy about protests when it’s conservatives and/or working class people doing the protesting.
But back to the bewildering trans rights protest. The writer seemed bemused by it, as were the truckers apparently. Much head-scratching was devoted to figuring out their motives. Maybe they just wanted a little of the limelight? Maybe, but I don’t think so. I think it was much more dangerous. I think it was a provocation. The counter protesters were there in hopes of getting a response that could be dressed-up by the media as evidence of the truckers’ far-right nature. They chose an issue which, they thought, was most likely to provoke a response that would feed Trudeau’s false narrative. Thankfully, it failed. All they got from the truckers was, “What?”
Funny, maybe, but also deeply disturbing. The lengths these people are prepared to go to in order to maintain their lies and further their leftist agenda, even crushing ordinary workers who have the ‘wrong’ opinions, is appalling.

Standard tests for biomarker changes would have proved that the vaccines are inappropriately causing complex problems in the body. This fact should stop all first release RNA vaccination now.
The first release covid vaccines are obsolete because everyone in every country has had or will get exposed to Omicron. Omicron is 1/10 as deadly as the Delta variation because it has 32 mutations on the covid spike. Exposure to Omicron, unlike the first release RNA vaccines, provides long term (years of protection) for covid.

You are correct. Canadians have been drifting this way for at least 2.5 decades. I lived not far from the border for a decade in the mid 1990s on and knew a few Canadians, personally, plus talking to Canadians when I visted Victoria or Vancouver. I was often surprised by their views on economics, government, and the U.S. itself.
One of their persistent grips when talking economics was why the Canadian dollar purchased so much less than the U.S. dollar at the time. I tried to explain that this was almost entirely explained by welfare/social policy in Canada, which would probably lower expected returns compared to equivalent investments in the U.S., ceteris paribus.

Keith. This is off topic, could you please read my posts on it, and take it to unthreaded. The physics hasn’t changed in ten years. If people want to debate you there, they can. Even you give up the thermodynamic assertions and fall back immediately to the logarithmic effect of CO2 being largely saturated, which I agree with, but which has nothing to do with the second law of thermodynamics. The big effect of CO2 comes through kinetic collisions. Is there any mechanism where CO2 molecules can roam the sky but somehow avoid hitting an N2 or O2 molecule? How could that be — Molecules that can steer? Obviously through random collisions they give up the extra energy and thus create a tiny bit of local and temporary warming. Skeptics need to get their science right.
In my world atoms fire off photons in all directions randomly. They don’t ask where they are headed.
