Managing people with bullying and coercion is a brittle and fragile tool
When it starts to break, it collapses.
Adam Mill: Why They’re So Afraid of the Truckers
In 1981, the Soviets seemed invincible. Yet their power was fragile, vulnerable to a single fissure of courage that started in Poland. That crack lengthened and spread until the entire system crumbled. It must have seemed impossible to defeat an ideology that controlled every institution—the press, the education system, the military, etc. Yet, without firing a shot, a courageous protest in Poland did just that.
In September of 1981, the Soviet Union seemed an uncrackable monolith. On its frontiers stood a NATO force that would last only a few weeks were a conventional war to break out. The Soviets could rely upon apologists in Western academia and the media to amplify their propaganda and stifle voices demanding freedom. Yet the opposition of a labor union to Soviet Communism powerfully undermined its claim to legitimacy
The Soviet Union, like modern leftism today, appropriates and exploits the struggle of ordinary people while simultaneously making things worse for them. Their soft hands and arrogance set them apart from their supposed clients in the “real world.” Their only skill is to feast upon the fruits of other people’s labor. When real labor awakens to the true parasitic nature of the Left, the whole system comes crashing down.
No wonder they’re so afraid.
Families are being torn apart
This is a revealing write up by a former CBC reporter who feels like the protests are dividing the country and is dismayed and searching for answers. What she has missed is that the divisions were there and growing for years. The peaceful flag-waving Truckers have arrived to fill the hole where healthy national pride and a sense of community had been exterminated with fashionable vanity-guilt competitions of hate and disdain.
If Trudeau orders the police to drag away the Freedom Convoy he’ll tear Canada apart
TARA HENLEY (former CBC reporter) from Toronto, DailyMail
The use of the Emergencies Act has poured gasoline on what was already a raging fire.
I fear that Canadians are headed for the sort of volatile, drawn-out, intractable conflict that tears societies apart.
The act replaces the War Measures Act, last invoked by Trudeau’s father, Prime Minster Pierre Elliott Trudeau, in 1970, and it is widely known as the nuclear option. As a journalist, I have never seen a news event this polarizing. And as a citizen, I have never seen my country this divided. For the past two weeks, most conversations have revolved around the protests in the capital.
Families are being pulled apart, including the Premier of Ontario’s own. Ford said Monday at a news conference that ‘all of this has polarized us in a way that we could never have imagined.’ One of his daughters has publicly supported the protests.
This is a large part of why I left legacy media in January, working as a current affairs radio producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. (In fact, it was our coverage of the vaccine mandates that proved a tipping point.)
She does understand there is something very unfair fueling this:
During the pandemic, Canada has become a less equal country. Billionaire wealth has increased a staggering 68 percent. Many, many people are struggling to make ends meet.
She doesn’t realize how close to the mark she is:
If one is to take the threat of the extremist far-right seriously, as I certainly do, then the Emergencies Act is the worst possible way of handling this crisis. It risks radicalizing peaceful protestors and confirming their worst fears about government.
Trudeau has indeed confirmed that the far right — who fear big Government will misuse and abuse power — are really the sensible center, who were correct all along. She fears the “extremists” but in today’s non-debate, the “far right” is anyone who just wants to be left alone.
Trudeau is so good at achieving the exact opposite of everything he supposedly wants because he relies on censorship and character assassination instead of free speech and well mannered debate. If Trudeau thinks he’s a God, thank the sycophantic media, and patsy academia.
All he had to do to be a good democratic leader was meet the people, instead of hiding amongst his status-climbing friends. If he’d spent time with the workers in the last two years, he could have seen all this coming and averted it so easily.
On the Ottawa front-line Police send in SWAT teams to Stop the Mischief
Ottawa Police March On Freedom Convoy: It’s ‘Starting To Feel Like The Beginning Of The End’.
According to the protesters, tow trucks are stationed nearby and are believed to be waiting to clear the area of trucks.
“The tow trucks are not labeled, they’ve had their plates removed and their companies covered so they are hiding their identities from the world,” one of protesters on the livestream said.
So police are arresting those who “hold the line” as they move forward. I watched about a dozen people get arrested like this. #cdnpoli #freedomconvoy22 pic.twitter.com/8c6869dCBe
— Steve Scherer (@SchererSteve) February 18, 2022
19th February: Things are on a knife-edge unfolding. The two protest leaders Chris Barber and Tamara Lich have been arrested and charged with “Mischief”. All up 15 people have been arrested, and four vehicles have been removed. On the legal front Trudeau already faces more than one court case already. Two agencies concerned with Civil Liberties and the Constitution have both started applications for judicial reviews. Interest is so large that both websites crashed. Meanwhile yet another Canadian province announced an end to mandates. Newfoundland and Labrador join Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
Police say the “media risks arrests if caught behind lines in ‘Red Zone’”. Thus, history is being made in a peaceful “emergency” and the media are banned? Where are the screams from the real journalists around the world…
They may evict the protesters but unless Trudeau ends the mandates, the protests will just find another outlet.
Police are cracking open the door on this locked RV. Someone appeared to be inside. pic.twitter.com/AyktvgNuf5
— Marieke Walsh (@MariekeWalsh) February 18, 2022
Marieke Walsh appears to be there watching things unfold.
Ottawa now has armed checkpoints like East Berlin did. Who is imposing more of a blockade on Ottawans, the protestors dancing in the centre or the man that fenced Parliament and added 100 checkpoints?
“The secured area includes almost 100 checkpoints that will have police presence to ensure that those seeking entry to that secure area for a unlawful reason, such as joining a protest, cannot enter the downtown core,” acting Ottawa Police Chief Steve Bell said Thursday.
But truckers are not worried.
“It’s all smoke and mirrors,” said Niagara-area trucker Harold Jonker, who drove the first truck in to the protest and plans to be the last truck to leave. “We are not doing anything wrong and they know that.”
Canada’s capital, operating under the Emergencies Act, now has ‘no go zones” similar to a police state.
The real crackdown is happening where you can’t see it — financial institutions
Tristan Hopper, National Post
One of the most far-reaching implications of the Emergencies Act is what it prescribes for the Canadian financial system. According to the government’s new Emergency Economic Measures Order, every single bank, credit union, investment broker and insurance provider in the country has been deputized to figure out if they have a blockader as a client, and to immediately freeze their accounts if so.
Under normal circumstances, private companies arbitrarily seizing the assets of their clients is a great way to get sued. But the order makes clear that “no civil proceedings lie against an entity for complying with this Order.”
Trudeau is giving every Canadian a reason not to use the banks. What could possibly go wrong?
He has overreached so far, even the Greens are warning this could backfire:
In a widely circulated essay for the socialist magazine Canadian Dimension, former Green Party leadership candidate Dimitri Lascaris warned that leftist support of measures to crush the truckers could end up biting them in the end. “If we Canadian leftists endorse this government’s use of emergency powers to quell this protest, we may well be dooming our prospects of successfully mounting and sustaining the far more disruptive protests that will be necessary to preserve Mother Earth,” he wrote.
But rather than anger, this protest thrives on camaraderie and goodwill:
Lyndsay Kruisselbrink, who was on her third trip to the Ottawa protest on and planned to stay until Monday, said the feeling among participants was “very calm,” adding everybody was happy with “lots of love.”
“You have to be here to know the feeling,” she said. “You just don’t want to leave. You just love the cause and all the people. It’s like your family.”
No wonder the Truckers are willing to be so brave, and stay so strong.

Just like that: In Austria, Germany and Switzerland — most restrictions will be gone in March
The Austrian situation is the most incredible turnaround. They had one of the most brutal mandatory vaccination programs in the world only a few weeks ago and now even laws made a few weeks ago look like they will never be enacted.
AUSTRIA – Will lift Covid restrictions including the banning of the unacceptable from society and is unlikely to now go ahead with compulsory vaccination.
Only you can set yourselves free. And they did 🔥#Austria #FreedomConvoy2022 pic.twitter.com/UqTewSluJi
— Bernie’s Tweets (@BernieSpofforth) February 18, 2022
With terrible timing the Austrian government only approved the draconian mandatory vaccination laws on Jan 20th, just in time for everyone to realize that the vaccines didn’t work, and Omicron wasn’t an emergency. Strangely the all new monster mandatory vaccination rule technically still exists, but may be scrapped before it even starts. How can it be justified to let unvaccinated people into pubs and clubs where superspreading events occur but then also fine them €1000 ea month for being unvaccinated? The absurdity of it destroys itself.
So perhaps to avoid the look of a complete nearly instant backflip Austria has established a commission to decide on mandatory Covid jabs.
Just weeks after the nationwide Covid vaccine mandate was signed into law, the controversial measure is in jeopardy. Austria’s compulsory vaccination law – the first in Europe – is set to come into effect on March 16th, when “phase two” will mean police can also check vaccination certificates and report violations to the district administration authorities. The commission will make its first report the week before, on March 8th.
Germany announces end to most COVID restrictions on March 20
Feb 17th. BERLIN — Germany’s leaders on Wednesday announced plans to end most of the country’s coronavirus restrictions by March 20, a decision that coincided with moves by neighboring Austria and Switzerland to drop many of their curbs sooner.
A three-step plan was endorsed by Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the country’s 16 state governors as official figures show Germany’s COVID-19 infection rate beginning to drift downward.
Switzerland lifts most Covid-19 restrictions
The Swiss government has decided to drop most coronavirus restrictions from Thursday as the record levels of infections triggered by the Omicron variant have not translated into a peak of hospitalisations.
It’s amazing how fast a psychological state can unravel. If the mandates had real benefits, they would not evaporate so fast.
Collecting stories of the ending of mandatory restrictions helps all of us still living under them. Good news in Western Australia today — the Great Unvaccinated will now be allowed to buy beer at drive through bottleshops. They can’t visit pubs, restaurants, clubs or gyms. The pandemic has barely arrived here — hopefully, it all shall pass.
The Canadians Truckers give us all hope.

Where are the Governors-General of N.Z. Australia, and Canada?
Sold out?
351
The Australian “Governor General” deserted his residence
on January the 27th, two days after being served with a “Just Cause.”
190
I’ve heard about this in a number of places. Where can one find the details of this about the Governor General?
90
The Governor Generals office is under administration.

I stopped reading the first link upon reaching the solecism “reigns” where “reins” was intended and then quickly perused the other two and remain none the wiser; these people are adornments to the ship of state with little functionality beyond that of bowsprit carvings or cathedral gargoyles.
160
You stoped reading… “reigns of the administrator?” 3 words from the end. Says a lot.
Expert in constitutional law?
Replying to the person asking for info.
What you think, could not care any less.
010
” adornments to the ship of state with little functionality beyond that of bowsprit carvings or cathedral gargoyles.”
Do you mean that a Governor-General in Australia can no longer sack the government?
When did that happen?
60
Shortly after Labor got back into government.
30
Contrary to the ABC story “The Dismissal” the Whitlam Labor Government was not dismissed by the Governor General, there was a constitutional crisis brought on firstly by the Government being caught attempting to illegally borrow a huge amount of money without seeking approval required at that time from the Loans Council. Secret negotiations in a Melbourne hotel room were recorded and transcript published in what became known as The Age (newspaper) Tapes. As a result of those revelations the Opposition demanded that the Government come clean and the Goverbnent refused, so the Opposition used their superior numbers in the Senate and blocked money supply, so the Government could not function as there was no money available to pay public service wages and other government operating expenses.
So the Governor General sought advice from constitutional lawyers and was advised to shut down the Parliament, make the Government a caretaker government with no power to govern and require them to organise and call a new election as soon as possible. Prime Minister Whitlam refused to cooperate. So the Opposition Leader was asked and agreed to act as caretaker government and call an election.
We the people, we the voters effectively dismissed the Whitlam Labor Government in a landslide defeat that shocked Labor and their supporters, who turned on and blamed the Governor General who was only doing what he was required to do, his role in the Constitution.
190
To Dennis:
That is very interesting as my family lived in the ACT at that time and all we heard or read was that Whitlam had been “illegally” sacked with no details. As the ABC was then trusted in our home no one looked any further.
So, a hearty “Thank You!” for that as it always irked me, and vaguely knowing Whitlam’s son just made me even more suspicious even as a child as he was as bad as his father.
10
Will a close relative of mine, a lawyer, worked for the Opposition at the time investigating The Age Tapes and constitutional law applying. I was also part of a hotel group breakfast discussion between Opposition MPs before the Governor General made his position public, none of them had prior notice of course but their was considerable speculation about how the constitutional crisis would be resolved.

And absolutely nothing about the Canadian situation in The Australian this morning. Does not one think that the lack of coverage of perhaps the greatest threat to democracy within a supposedly democratic country would be front page news in a supposedly right leaning news provider?
530
Spot on. Crickets.
130
In recent years, even the once-conservative The Australian has taken a significant turn to the Left.
270
turn to the left was long time ago:
In the final prophecy of Alexis de Tocqueville in Democracy in America the possibility, nay, the probability of the democratic state’s totalitarian evolution toward the Provident State has been foretold with great accuracy. Here again two wishes of the leftist find their fulfillment, the extension of government and the dependence of the person upon the state which controls his destiny from the cradle to the grave. Every movement of the citizen, his birth and his death, his marriage and his income, his illness and his education, his military training and his transportation, his real estate and his travels abroad-everything is to be a matter of knowledge to the state.
260
Brilliant expose about smart phones don’t you think?
10
“In recent years, even the once-conservative The Australian has taken a significant turn to the Left.”
Really???
Your obsession with the Left seems to have no boundaries The majority of The Australian’s journalists/regular writers are from the Right not the Left.
Those from the Left and the not very far Left either, are Peter Van Onselen, Graham Richardson, Troy Bramston and Katrina Grace Kelly. Niki Savva who was further to the Left, now writes for The Guardian
Right wing journos and writers, in no particular order, are Chris Kenny, Peta Credlin, Denis Shanahan, Greg Sheridan, Jennifer Oriel, Adam Creighton, Rachel Baxendale, Gerard Henderson, Sharri Markson, Alan Jones, Angela Shanahan, Janet Albrechtsen, Simon Benson, Henry Ergas, Nick Cater, Judith Sloan, Nick Tabakoff and scads more.
You only need look at the readers’ comments to see that most are from the Right. I’ve been reading the Australian since 1972 and consider it is now planted firmly to the Right,.
But the real power is with Rupert Murdoch who, as I’m sure you know, is a firm supporter of the Right and does not tolerate much input from Left leaning journos and writers
023
It definitely follows the narrative parroted by the rest of the corporate media, and that is why I stopped subscribing some time ago. I look in at the headlines, express my general derision at their slant, shrug at the loss of reading articles by Henry Ergas, and move elsewhere. It isn’t so much left v right any more; its the globalists, the elites, the billionaires, the celebrities vs the working and middle class. Their stories, their policies are all designed to malign our way of life.
130
I’m loath to stop subscribing as, despite what I see as a significant move to the Right, most articles are well written and informative I also subscribe to the Guardian and the Australian Financial Review to get a broad Left-Centre-Right perspective rather than confining my reading to a single source that has a particular political stance
120
Just read the newspaper.
Like Sky TV it has been slowly moving away from the Right, even if incrementally very minutely but slowly.
I heard that “vaccines”(sic!) and their numerous side effects were verboten on Sky.
As I do not watch television, I could not verify this.
But I guess, that with your leftist vision anything to the right of Mao or Stalin is right wing trash and you don’t even know how blind you really are. None as blind as those who cannot look let alone see. You are just like the rest of the brainwashed kids flooding out from our schools and universities and only the waving of the Little Red Book is missing.

@Ian, as someone who has subscribed to the Oz for maybe 10 years I could not disagree more. The Oz is far more balanced than Ninemedia (The Sydney Morning Herald and Age) let alone the ABC or Guardian. Many regular commenters there are obviously from the left.
I am an ex Sydney Morning Herald subscriber who gave up on that place when I’d had my intelligence insulted far too often.
10
We still subscribe because of a handful of writers we like. Mostly I have a quick look at The Australian and then turn it off in irritation and turn to Jo. You are worth your weight in gold Jo.

Annie,
From the USSR days.
A man goes every morning to Red Square to buy his daily Pravda from News paper seller kiosk #23.
He looks at the front page and turfs it in the bin.
This goes on a for many a year and the seller eventually lets his curiosity get the better of him.
“Why do you just look at the front page and throw the paper away?”
The buyer says, “I am looking for a death notice.”
“But death notices are not on the front page ” says the seller.
The man replies – “the death notice that I am looking for will definitely be on the front page.”

The Australian’s policy for the last year was written in large subheadings regularly. “Vax The Nation”.
Why would a newspaper that took an activist role in a policy investigate or allow commentary that suggested that that policy was reckless, dangerous, and counter productive?
310
Made a comment to The Australian yesterday regarding this and it was rejected.
310
Yes me too, and it isn’t my first time.

Two posts vanished yet again. Hopefully hythis willringthem back. I usually does
11
Ross and Terence M very encouraging to read you got rejected by the moderators at The Australian as I was coming to believe I was the only one whose comments get binned
31
Oh Strewth my comment has just been held in limbo because I inadvertently used the M word when referring to the fate of my comments to the Australian
21
Probably because it’s not particularly relevant to the +90% of Australians who are vaccinated and believe their attitude is ignorant. Just get vaccinated and the problem goes away.
116
Not in WA , get vaccinated and lock it down harder.
I’m over it so are a lot of the population. I hope this regime gets booted
131
“I hope this regime gets booted”
It isn’t going to happen till 2025 at the earliest and Labor has such a huge lead that other parties won’t get elected then. Labor has 53 of the 59 seats in the Lower House, the Libs 2 and the Nats 4. To get a one seat majority the Libs/Nats will need to win 24 seats which is unlikely.
15
Ian, if you think voters have a loyalty to “the party they voted for at the last election” I have news for you.
But the Libs in WA need policies that serve WA instead of serving Canberra. To take Clive+Palmers-and-NSW side in the border battle was suicidal.
50
Depends Neil. Only about 45% are said by Govt to have gone for a booster, which means probably far fewer than that. which also throws the 90% claimed double-vaxed into doubt too, since why would the two-wimes willing suddenly be “hesitant”.
When Novovax was approved last week, a number of CMOs etc rejoiced since that would possibly get more of the hesitant lining up (it’s NOT a gene-jab).
OK, so the claim is that there are about 1-2 million unjabbed. While there are 51 (yeah Fifty One) million Novovax doses arriving….
So either each hesitant person is getting 25-35 jabs each, or else maybe 10 million (and more) ARE NOT VAXED. Which is it Neil?
BTW: Cancellation of an advance order is very easily done, See French Subs for an example.
121
It remains to be seen just how much support Trudeau has in parliament. He governs in a coalition and the biggest single party is the opposition. If his coalition partners decide he is an embarrassment they could switch teams leaving Trudeau to flounder like a landed fish. The parliament must meet within days now (seven from the declaration) to confirm or deny his draconian measures. Should it be found without parliamentary support those arrests happening now and the police actions and the actions of the banks would be unlawful and subject to legal action. Let us hope that the Canadian parliament hang the petty tyrant out to dry. Will the rest of the Western world then see how successful the truckers were and how pathetic is the left? Will it be “SOLIDARITY” mark two? Will it be the “Great Reset” but the opposite to the one proposed by the left?
Our own media is basically silent on the Canadian truckers movement. They are scared the same could happen here. It did in Canberra last weekend when the Ray Hadleys of radio declared the many thousands “nutters”. He does not know any of the protesters but he does know they are not right in the head. He claims, as does the press, that they are all anti-vaxxers which is incorrect. They just want government out of our lives. Politicians here are still trying to keep the scare going. NSW Kerry Chant the CHO, is warning that the brakes are coming off but they could be reapplied coming into winter and the flu season. Can they tell the difference between the annual flu and Omicron symptoms? Doubtful. They have had a sniff of absolute power and are reluctant to let it go.
Panic of another kind has hit NSW politicians as Origin decides to close Munmora PS. Matt Kean scrambles for the biggest battery in the world to keep the lights on for at least two hours. They are all mad you know.

“Should it be found without parliamentary support those arrests happening now and the police actions and the actions of the banks would be unlawful and subject to legal action.”
And that is surely another hole Trudeau has dug for himself and the only ladder available to climb out (now that he has reached hole bottom) is held by Jagmeet Singh leader of the New Democratic Party.
Minority government is a corruption of our parliamentary system as is preferential voting and (pre-election) gerrymandering. Trudeau’s self-inflicted hole will now require him to shore up support with parties that have their own, perhaps conflicting, priorities/objectives.
You can imagine the horse trading currently going on particularly in the areas that Jagmeet has already previously listed as priorities to ensure his party’s ongoing support including climate change action, paid sick leave, indigenous reconciliation and a federal vaccine passport. He has also separately raised the issue of ongoing support for people transitioning from the Canada Emergency Response Benefit a covid support mechanism that has so far cost more than $72billion in benefits.
In essence the people who voted Trudeau in based on his policies are probably now, along with all Canadians, going to have to endure the policies of a party they did not vote for.
So, who is Jagmeet Sing aka Jimmy Dhaliwal. Seems he is just like Trudeau and although Canadian born he has no problem delving into another country’s politics. Black-face Trudeau meddled through the India farmers protests while heritage Jimmy Dhaliwal meddled in India’s human rights record particularly from the religious Sikh angle.
Some info on Jagmeet Sing aka Jimmy Dhaliwal including his wife’s misstep – lucky it wasn’t a bottle or two of red.
And on top of all that there is the question of whether the vote on the emergency powers will now be driven by the question of whether they should be maintained on their merit based on the “emergency” they are addressing or whether revoking will give the peasants too much power, and even worse, too much money in compensation.
It is a bit like the GFC when banks were protected because they were deemed “too big to fail” with no regard, then or later, to their illegal activities. Now we have a government about to be protected because it would be “too costly to let it fail” in terms of people power, with no regard to the true question of whether the enactment was even required.

It didn’t need to be this way.
Our politicians chose this not us.
Now your going to see the RATS scurrying to save their own asses!

Its interesting listening to Trudeau and his lackies speak. This is all supposed to be about Covid mandates and restrictions, yet they dont talk about that at all. All they talk about is how people must comply with whatever they demand and shut up.
Just like Dan Andrews in Australia their lust for power and control could not be more obvious. The only surprise is the level to which they are prepared to be punitive. Now the seem prepared to crush both the protestors and the Canadian financial system to salve their egos.
How citizens, the investment community and foreign banks now look at sovereign risk in Canada is yet to be seen. Interesting times for their banks.

Look at how Trudeau and others like him were raised and trained through programs like Schwabs young global leaders, they are a new improved version of the H!#ler youth but with the same bloody minded ideology, Trudeau’s masters have given him a mission and he accepted it with the promise of a top place in the NWO, his disdain for fellow Canadians is normal for someone that truly believes in what they have implemented and history shows us there’s only one way to stop it.

I am of the opinion (and I hope) they will drop whatever they can before this, because the government knows how sick and tired people are of it all, and they know the impact of lifting these measures just before the elections.
After the elections, well, maybe it will all be back on again, because someone will start coughing somewhere, and it’s all for our own protection, of course…

For anyone having trouble persuading friends and family that the Canadian truckers are the good guys, I recommend the Dimension link given in the article above.
https://canadiandimension.com/articles/view/leftists-must-oppose-the-suppression-of-dissent-even-when-we-disagree-with-the-dissenters
It’s by a green-left writer in a green-left publication. It explains why Trudeau is dangerously wrong. If your friends and family refuse to read anything from Jo Nova or the ‘far right’ then give them the Dimension article to read.
120
It’s getting bad when the Greens say you’ve gone to far.
For those of us old enough to have seen the full cycle. There is a certain irony in watching ‘The Left’ become, ‘The Man’.

Thanks; and the writer having inserted a “g” into “rein” didn’t stop me reading the entire piece –I’ve widened my horizon since the beating I received from farmerbraun upthread at https://joannenova.com.au/2022/02/truckers-threaten-to-blow-up-the-narrative-that-the-socialists-care-for-the-workers/#comment-2520683

Trudeau seems like an even more personally insecure and extreme version of Australia’s most totalitarian and incompetent Marxist “leader”, Dictator Daniel Andrews of Vicdanistan.
The similarities are remarkable.
Both are similar in that they have little to no work experience in the real world, both are arrogant, incompetent, insecure, have a high propensity to use state violence via a paramilitary police force, non-achievers of anything worthwhile, are “true believers” in UN decrees, are misogynist, hypocrites, narcissists who love being the centre of attention, liars, say when women claim mistreatment they must be believed except when it involves them, happy to waste vast amounts of taxpayers’ money, both promoted to present positions at relatively young ages, both misuse state resources for personal political gain, both heavily encourage and embrace transgenderism via policies they have implemented, promote extreme “green” policies like random solar and wind power, both are opposed to fracking and oil drilling, both promote extreme positions on covid restrictions, etc..
380
Another similarity is that, defying all logic and understanding, Trudeau has been elected three times, Andrews twice and will likely win a third time because the dumbed-down masses regard him as a “saviour”.
160
I’m afraid that, for the average Leftist, it is far more important that ‘their side’ wins than the country or state is well governed.
90
The Canadian truckers have done a great job for so many people around the world, forcing politicians to recognize the situation has changed with Omicron and innoculations and to wind down the restrictions.
For that many people in many countries are very grateful. The list of freed countries is long. And a testament to the power of any people to protest peacefully against an unthinking autocratic government. We thank all the Canadian Truckers and their families and accept their great sacrifices to make politicians around the world see the obvious. It’s over.
As for Trudeau himself, his arrogance and intransigence have put on display the instinctive reach for emergency powers by socialist (would be communist) leaders including our own Daniel Andrews. Andrews’ problem was that he did not control the army, which cost a thousand lives when he used students hired on the internet as hotel security guards in quarantine because he refused the army. Trudeau’s problem is that the army will not act against Canadian citizens on political matters and if he asked such a question, he has every right to be afraid of future repercussions. Daniel Andrews even signed up the state to an illegal belt and road deal with the Chinese Communists, something which he is explicitly not empowered to do by the constitution. And even managed to expand the emergency act to allow himself the right of arbitrary indefinite police arrest without judicial oversight.
The use and abuse of emergency powers to act without judicial or parliamentary oversight has been a revelation in Democracies and must be reexamined. This was a political crisis, not an actual emergency.
These deadly games have not gone unnoticed around the world. The Wuhan Flu has empowered would be dictators in many countries, which was the idea. And disrupted the US and Europe, costing nearly 6 million lives. And it was not mentioned because no one wanted to offend President Xi? Or at least that is the story from Dr. Fauci who secretly funded the development.
Australia is being punished severely economically for even asking if the virus was created in China, which actually confirms it. And while the world backs off massive restrictions on personal freedoms, Trudeau is still using every part of his emergency powers to locate, dox and punish his own people within and likely beyond the limit of the law. And assure companies who fire donors that they will not suffer repercussions from unjust behavior. But the PM does not write the law. He is certainly not the law. And the independent courts will punish companies who go along with such blatant injustice and they can wave their get out of jail free papers, uselessly.
In fact Trudeau embodies everything wrong with so many woke socialists. As was written on the Berlin wall, socialist is what totalitarians call themselves. Trudeau’s powers were conferred by parliament. And they will be taken away. You can just see him fuming in his bunker, planning his vengeance. On the Truckers first. The Canadian people were just not up to his standards and did not deserve him. In that he is right.
Trudeau will be gone in a week. A useless, ultimately very nasty and vengeful Prince who presumed his divine right of rule was unassailable.
501
I hope your last paragraph is correct. This cannot continue.
310
His emergency declaration has to be certified by parliament, like every other decision. He is only Prime Minister, not an absolute ruler. Democracy is rule by the people, not by the Trudeau family. And if the uproar in his last inept outing is an indication, he will not and should not survive. The arrogance he has, based on success in an early election, does not insulate him from having to answer to parliament. His insulting stonewall defence that laws were broken is fatuous when he presumes to decide the law, not parliament or the courts. He is not the law. He is only the Prime Minister and he will be called to justify his declaration of an emergency. If his minority government even survives a motion of no confidence, it will be because he has resigned.
231
And if it is shown that he tried to get the Canadian Armed Forces to attack the peaceful unarmed protesters, wives, children, pets and outdoor jacuzzis, he will be condemned for life.
The police were invented in England and they are still unarmed because an army cannot police. Other than medical emergencies and natural disasters, intervention means attack with weapons, not public relations counsellers or politicians. How else are they going to move trucks except by threat of armed violence? And how long before people fought back?
And world history is full of tragedies where autocrats sent armies against unarmed protesters. St. Petersburg Alexander place, Tientamin Square, the massacre at Peterloo in Lancashire in 1819. The list is long.
If any employer dared to fire someone for donating $100, they should hire them back immediately. Prince Trudeau’s ridiculous letter of immunity will not protect them because it was obviously unlawful and wrong. The courts will be busy for years. And one man is to blame.
270
A long prison term would a just reward for his anarchy.
30
You are that confident that his party will not back him? Why not?
30
Good Prime Ministers have been removed from being party leader for much less than alienating most of the population and becoming an object of ridicule around the world, the most egregious example of what not to do. And few Canadian voters who voted Liberal would see the word meant absolute dictator, or that the Liberals were actually all socialists. Liberal used to mean free thinking, fair, generous, not totalitarian dictatorship.
The same transition happened in Australia under pretend Liberal Malcolm Turnbull who stole Tony Abbott’s job and is exactly the same as Trudeau. Privileged self justifying arrogant dictator who set out to destroy the party which elected him and join forces with the Greens. Or in short, the traditional Liberals were closer to conservative and like the Democrats in the US, they have been dragged extreme left to Woke and absolutism and nihilism. By rich nincompoops. Trudeau has showed his real colour and ran away and then doubled down on being wrong.
Would you think his own party is happy and party leader is decided by his own party? Do you think his partners want him as PM in a minority governemnt?
His performance in parliament to justify his actions were childish, petulant and arrogant and without explanation. And in every top position, when you get everything wrong, your job is forfeit. No, his position is untenable. Not just that, his career is over and he will be tied up in retributive court actions for a decade. Who wants a leader in the courts as a villain?
180
And Fascism, Mussolini’s invention, was the welding of the ultra rich to the extreme left. The Krupp family funded Hitler and did very well out of the war, until it was lost. They were the world’s biggest company.
In the US now, the Dotcom trillionaires are aligned with all the devastation of woke policies and BLM and Critical Race Theory and making more billions out of Wu Flu and lockdowns.
Perhaps the most amazing false flag are the violent anonymous thugs dressed all in black and attacking government buildings get away with calling themselves AntiFascist when they are obviously fascists. Even Mussolini’s blackshirts did not wear masks.
Now the US army has gone full woke under General Milley, so who is left on the right except people who are against big government? Everyone else seems to have gone Marxist, dragging traditional Liberal and Democrat voters with them.
160
Re Turnbull and Abbott, I agree with your comment of course, but want to add that eventually all politicians become scared about their own position as an electorate representative and party influences pale into insignificance.
40
The vote was supposed to happen Friday but the government closed parliament down due to ‘the ongoing situation’ so it couldn’t be voted on. He obviously doesn’t plan to wait for the go-ahead, having started his Kristallnacht already. He now has till Monday to get the ringleaders rounded up, all under cover of a media blackout.
120
As protesters have known for all time, it’s very hard to remove passive protesters without violence. And whoever resorts to violence loses. This will be over soon and no one wants to be the instigator of violence. That makes it hard to Trudeau to go out as a victor, which is what he wants. And as mandates crash down all over the world, he would now be aware of the political and social and criminal cost of defending the indefensible. As would any half intelligent police chief.
110
Don’t underestimate Trudy’s lack of intelligence which, added to his God complex, makes him very dangerous.

The life insurance numbers are not looking good: https://meaninginhistory.substack.com/p/major-update-on-the-covid-regime?utm_source=url
In the U.S., as I understand it, the primary source of unfunded liabilities is from public health insurance (Medicare and Medicaid). As a practical matter, the U.S. can’t pay these future insurance claims and will be forced to reduce actual medical costs dramatically. Pensions are also a significant liability, but not on the scale of healthcare liabilities. The basic reason why U.S. healthcare costs are so high (some 18% of GDP) is that monopoly interests (notably Big Pharma) have a stranglehold on healthcare and are extracting massive rents from the government, companies, and the public.
So there seems to be a game of chicken going on between the bond market’s willingness to fund this and the medical monopoly’s continued rent extraction.
How that plays out, I don’t know, but I’ve got my popcorn.
130
It isn’t simply unfunded liabilities. It is unfunded incurred liabilities paid to illegal immigrants and lavish subsidy of many on the dole.
Democrat politicians in the US have granted full retirement pension and health benefits (Medicare/Medicaid) to illegal immigrants in hopes of future dependent constituencies who will vote Democrat. Some 2 Million of them in one year. Some 30 million over the last few decades. They receive subsidized or free housing, free medical care, free retirement benefits, free education, free dental care, etc, that other citizens have to pay for themselves as well as pay for the freeloaders.
The costs are staggering. Some USD 116 Billion / yr.

The public services around the world are a lost cause. They have been for many years.
Politicians have been almost a complete dead loss for many years as well as the uniparty approach has advanced almost completely unchecked. No opposition has seriously challenged the injections only approach.
The truckers have shone a light on the problems. In the near future the sound of an air horn will terrify a whole range of people who richly deserve to be terrified.
As Jo says in her article keep an eye out for little cracks in the authoritarian facade.

I woke this morning with the meme running through my mind – the reason for the almighty pushback to the truckers, is they have challenged the narrative. The nitty gritty facts are irrelevant, and trudeau must succeed. The WEF players are standing behind him. I’ve heard it mentioned that the pushback kicked in when trade was effected, but I reckon it is the attack on the narrative that pushes up their blood pressure. There are too many regimes out on a limb, and if one is taken down, the pressure racks up on the others. So it is sort of nice to be in the zeitgeist, unfortunately this message is an ugly one. And 60+% of Canadians think they should bring in the military. The media is still doing it’s job.
And I think short of a tsunami of metoos, trudeau will not go, even though he has shown himself to be an absolute jackass, not even counting for threatening the Canadian banking system. I base this opinion on fauci, andrews, newsome. (potential presidential candidate!) It took metoo to bring down cuomo. I was thinking about boris, and how amazing it is that he found an extinction rebellion wife. Coincidinkly.

To think that Canadian truckers worked through the pandemic “crisis” to keep that nation going, especially through that early time when most people knew so little about COVID, were hysterical, and most simply hid at home, the smearing of them as violent extremists, and to try to crush them with this emergency powers legislation is the most despiccable act of ingratitude that I can think of at present. If one is to take the threat of the extremist far-right seriously …
There is only one way to understand a statement as idiotic as this – the psychological defence mechanism known as “Projection”, whereby the negative feelings and ideas of a person, being utterly unacceptable to admit to full consciousness, are dealt with by being projected onto innocent others.
The Leftist insistence that “Hitler was right wing” is an example – even though the Nazi Party was clearly a Social enterprise they seek to pin it on their “Right Wing” opposition rather than own the Socialist connection.
The massive “threat” the Left sees from the “right wing” (Conservatives who want smaller government) is driven by their own inner fascism which can only find expression by denying it in oneself and pinning it on others.
It is no accident that so many see the Left “doing what they accuse others of doing” – that is Projection in action.
In short, being of the Left is a de facto admission of one’s psychological immaturity.

National Socialism is indeed a form of socialism and is of the Left, as are all rights-violating ideologies.
To achieve the spectacular coup of being able to call National Socialism as being of the “Right” (and therefore anything of the Right being bad), it was necessary for the Left to erase from history the socialist philosopher of fascism, Giovanni Gentile.
In fact Giovanni Gentile was probably the first person the Left successfully erased from history.
Dinesh D’Souza explains in this short under six minute video:
https://youtu.be/m6bSsaVL6gA
160
Thanks. I did not know about Giacomo Gentile. Fascism was put into practice by Mussolini, journalist and son of a socialist. And there was a lot of anger in poverty stuck Italy which had lost a million men in the first world war, so the appeal of a benevolent state was matched with grief from a war which started with a fight over royalty in Serbia. Who needed Royalty?
Communism and socialism have a problem, lack of cash. Fascism solves that by making the ultra rich partners in enslaving the people. And we are seeing it again in Silicon valley.
130
Interesting stuff turns up from Giovanni Gentile.

There you go: take over the schools and science can be whatever you want it to be … sounds like a plan!
He carries on about the need to unify education, and avoid any specialist subjects, which sounds nutty, but not so different to the nuttiness you hear around today. I have come to conclude these things are not intended to make any real sense, they merely string together some likely sounding buzzwords and tuck in a bit of a hidden eye wink to socialist solidarity and then see who gets fooled by it. If that doesn’t work, string together different stuff and keep going … eventually something gets a response.
100
I was listening to Jordan Petersen and a discussion about universities trying to get respect for their chosen and even invented disciplines. And they suffered from ‘physics envy’.
So they decided to come up with at the very least, Post Modernism and more. Even Climate Change. And shroud it with impenetrable verbage and bury it in papers of great depth and postulate conclusions and reasoning so that they would get respect. You can tell. When someone talks about ‘The Science’ they are talking about this new ‘Science’, not real fact based Rational science using mathematics or built on absolutes in the way of Rene Descartes but the new Science. And the more obscure and complex the better.
And now I read on the front page, even in the travel advertising, we have to reduce our ‘Carbon Footprint’. Why? Or ‘nett zero’ is admirable? It’s nuts. There is no science behind these statements, just The Science which is all wrong.
While all science is based on a philosophy, we have the leftists pretending they have a vision of a fairer, more equal society based on socialist, even Marxist principles. When almost without exception, the people at the top want to get power and then money and success. And then who gives a damn about the common man. He is subject to the whims of the people at the top.
Then who needs the truckers? Unfortunately for Trudeau and friends, everyone. And the truckers know it. And most people agree.
100
Yeah sure.
130
The Opposition in the Canadian Parliament should now say that at the next election their policy will be to reimburse all those whose accounts were frozen, reimburse all truckers for 4 years of lost income and capital value of the truck, and restore their licenses.

Good article.
The entire strategy of capitalist->Marxist overthrow is based on creating division and when you have enough division and the majority of the people are on your side, you make your move. This strategy of division is what we see all western democracies today, with far left ideology being pushed in our education and government institutions to divide us by race, religion and gender, with the aim of creating large scale civil unrest.
Canada is now the litmus test to see if they can pull off the final move to Marxism. Trudeau must think he has the public support to control the police and military and he will absolutely need to use all of the available forces against a large percentage of his population who are still clinging onto the ideology of freedom and democracy. The clearest sign that democracy has ended is when large numbers of people get arrested for supporting the wrong side and it certainly looks like we are almost at this point. Elections will then be put on hold and the age-old excuse will be rolled out that democracy will resume when the enemy is squashed, which of course never happens and all future elections are controlled to ensure the right outcome.
I’m sure the Democrats are watching very closely and they will be looking to make the same move in the USA if Trudeau is successful. It’s also possible that Trudeau is making this move under instructions from the Democrats, to allow them to go soon after and before the mid-terms. What we do know is that the US military has been purging all conservatives under the guise of vaccine mandates and others have left due to the oppressive woke propaganda. The stage is certainly set for the transition, with schools, government institutions and big business already indoctrinated to support the new order. The scary part is that the stage is so well set and even down here it’s marching fast in that direction. The one thing missing here is the woke takeover of the military and I’m guessing that will be fast tracked under a Labor government (if that happens in May).

Some years ago Gene Sharp wrote a thesis on peaceable resistance movements in the modern era worldwide that achieved their end. From it he distilled a how-to manual called “From dictatorship to democracy”. It is free to read/download online here:
https://www.aeinstein.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/FDTD.pdf
Sharp points out that violence is the State’s strongest suit, which is why it should be avoided, and sets out a multitude of alternatives. The truckers’ action is straight out of this playbook, and if it fails then you can read of a multitude of others. Download this book now before it goes offline! It forced out more than one dictator in the Near/Middle East in the Islamic spring; that the demonstrators had nothing better to replace them with is not Sharp’s responsibility.

Australian officials, particularly at State level, seem very keen to order or effect the most Covid vaccinations they can, almost as it they are getting a dollar a shot back into some pocket. Here in Vic, IIRC, Premier Dan signed an agreement to build a vaccine production centre for the future and has placed forward orders for hundreds of billions of vaccine doses.
There is a lot of taxpayer money now invested in projects that have become redundant now that we have Omicron, “the vaccine that experts failed to make”.
More puzzling, at Federal level, is the failure to recognise that vaccination by jabs has both dangers and now, safer alternatives. Like, for children aged under 12, it is probably best to avoid jabs for Covid and to rely upon natural immunity gained from catching Omicron. Yet we have a slow process to recognise this, with actions typically being delayed until weeks ahead of now.
I have been rather cynical of stories that there is a global master plan to essentially use Covid as a weapon to subjugate populations under emergency powers that morph into everyday powers. Yet, many actions like those in the responsibility of Fed health Minister Greg Hunt give a plausible set of evidence that he is acting on instructions from a higher authority, presumably one capable of later benefits after he leaves this political post. As for the Socialist caring for the workers, they don’t. At least not since 1968 in Paris. There Marxism was reinterpreted because it was obvious that workers in capitalist societies were happy, rich and free. And those in the communist world died in their tens of millions or were destitute and starving. That was the lesson of the entire of the 20th century, from Russia, Eastern Europe to Cambodia and North Korea. So the French philosophers abandoned the workers and came up with Post Modernism.
To stay Marxists thought the quest was to find the new oppressed to replace the workers. Women of course, half the population. A good start. All Black people, 13% of America. Transvestites, LGBTIQWTF. Not many of them but colourful. And to do this they cast everyone into a group with group identity and told them they were oppressed and their identity was more important than their country. And that white people had invented slavery and that slavery was only of black people. Which is odd because that’s where you get the name Slav.
And now Daniel Andrews and Trudeau see Unionists as the enemy, but expect their vote. Half the population is made of workers, Hillary’s deplorables. As they expect blacks all vote for Democrats even though it was the party of slavery and the Republicans were the liberators. And of course all the uninvited migrants who expect cradle to grave socialism while they work for minimal wages. To do this, they change history. And the NAZIs become extreme right.
The appalling irony of all this is that the dispossesed, starved, enslaved and expelled Irishmen are now in the group of White Supremacist. And the country which ended slavery which was endemic in all human society is now the home of the ultimate white supremacists and imperialists. Certainly not the Spanish, Portuguese or Arab countries because they are not classed as white. And only America, white dominated countries are racist. Certainly not India, China, all of Africa, Japan, Korea. In fact what non white country is not outrageously racist, even in law?
It’s all upside down. And as a newly appointed White Supremacist, I want to know what super powers I now have? As for the workers, automation has eliminated most of them as on the docks, so ignore them. They were an embarrassment to the new Marxists anyway. And they keep voting Democrat and Labor, so why give them anything?
80
There is a corollary to this imperialist racism story. If a country is very poor and all they have is unskilled labor, they would welcome jobs. Any job, any money is better than subsistence living.
So a shoe company like Nike with a labor intensive product moves there for the cheap labor and are immediately accused of exploiting the people who should be paid US wages, which defeats the whole point of going there. Which means the entire population has to migrate to the US to get a job they could have had at home, so they can undermine the wages of US workers in the US.
For the fascist left of America, exploiting the workers and migrants is standard practice while claiming moral superiority. Far better than setting up Nike factories in poor countries and actually helping people where they live. And amazingly, they then vote for their liberators who are exploiting them.

Try Hungary, 1956.
The Red Army ruthlessly put down people complaining about life under Soviet-led communism.
To make sure NOBODY “noticed” regiments of tanks and motorized infantry shooting their way through Budapest, etc., the soviets jacked up the Suez crisis and set their global LSM hacks to hounding western governments and misreporting events in Aden and the region.
It worked as intended; An almost perfect, multi-level and “all arms” operation. That almost the entire British spook service was composed of soviet agents, and had been since the early 1930’s, contributed somewhat.
They almost got away with it again in South-West Africa / Namibia. There, they used Cuban “volunteers” (because they “blended in”), with an impressive array of very modern toys from the Soviet union itself. The ultimate goal was to bring down the Republic of South Africa, in the full knowledge that said country had been heavily demonized and hit with all manner of sanctions for decades and regardless of reality, the western LSM could be relied on the run with the :standard true view” as required in the script..
See also Mozambique, where a newly-elected hard-socialist government initiated instant “decolonization on places like Mozambique and East Timor. (Remember East Timor?) Politically, not much happens in s vacuum.

How did that work out for the US? Pol Pot learned to hate cities at the Sorbonne and hold the record for slaughter of a domestic population at least in percentage.
Osama Bin Laden was supported by the US in their clandestine war in Afghanistan against Russia. And they just left themselves, for no good reason.
Remember the assassination of the democratically elected communist President Victor Allende in Argentina by the CIA. I thought that was illegal under US law? Or the landing in the Bay of Pigs by former Cuban military and supported by President Kennedy, an adventure which ended in disaster.
Then the big one, the British incited Greek war on Turkey after WW1 in 1919-22 and bombarding of Istanbul, a long nasty war which displaced millions of peaceful Turks from Greece and Greeks from Turkey. And then you get the punitive war on Russia in Crimea in 1855, which had no point at all. That is still going on and Crimea is Russian again and the Americans are using it to pretend Russia is a dangerous aggressor, a game which has been played for two centuries.
And as for the siege of Budapest, Hungary was a willing participant in WW2 as the fourth ally of Germany and the last great tank battle was going on in the horrific siege of Budapest even as the war ended in Berlin. Neither side forgot that, but the Hungarians and Romanians were not innocent victims, nor the Czechs, even if that is the current rewriting of history.
The big player at present is communist capitalist China, buying favor with all sides with trillions to spent. Perhaps they can think of compensating their 6 million victims of Chinese made and deliberately released Wuhan Flu instead? That is really what the Truckers protest is about. Freedom from fear and punishment for the villains. But no one wants to offend China. Certainly not Trudeau who openly admires the Chinese Communist Party.

Interesting “nuances, there:
Ho Chi Minh (Real name Nguyen Ai Quoc) picked up his “politics” from several sources. He spent quite some time in the soviet union, but it was the Chinese who provided him and master tactician, Vo Nguyen Giap, with the hardware and logistics do grind down the French fort complex at Dien Bien Phu. Just for giggles, look up a phase in their “civil” campaign, called “feeding the crabs”. China built the North’s munitions manufacturing capability, as well
Ho changed horses in the 1960’s because he really ras quite an astute player. China had held and lost the region of Viet Nam several times over the preceding millennia. it was a multi-faceted “struggle”.
Osama was ALWAYS a wild card, coming from one of the richest families in the Meddle East and able to play off his “western” experience anhis deep islaminds “manifest destiny” for quite a while. Lots of lessons learned frm the group NOBODY wnats to mention, The Muslim Brotherhood. Ultra-oerthodox, by the “Book”, head-loppong loonies.
Allende? That was a dodgy call. Allende was not exactkly a shrinking violet, either. I recall that there is an Arlo Guthri song about one of ASllende’s henchmen, Victor Jara.
The conflict between Greece and Turkey was not exactly “unprecedented” as the churnalists would have you believe.. They have been invading and counter-invading each other for Millennia. During WW2, the ‘Adriatic” branch of the British SOE was essentially run out of Moscow.
1956 is a few years after 1945. NOT the same Hungary. I understand the obsession with “multi-generational sin” in certain political “philosophies”, but it is not exactly good reasoning.
Regarding China; you are correct in noting the institutionalized reticence e to criticize the country that has heavily invested in influencers and useful idiots. They don’t have to try too hard, raw venality and closet megalomania are to be found in abundance in many of the “chattering” / political class. Simultaneously, they have been globally buying up entire industries, especially food production, in huge, vertically integrated swathes. I’ve seen it happen to the beef industry here in Oz.
They are not historically and officially named, “The Central (Pivotal) Kingdom” for nothing.

While the world is watching Ottawa’s “terrorists” being arrested, did anyone hear about a REAL terrorist event in northern BC yesterday?

This is an anti pipeline ‘protest’.
“RCMP Chief Supt. Warren Brown, commander for the north district, called the attack a “calculated and organized violent attack that left its victims shaken and a multi-million dollar path of destruction.”
Coastal GasLink said in a statement the attackers surrounded some of its workers in a “highly planned” and “unprovoked” assault near the Morice River drill pad site off the forest service road.
“In one of the most concerning acts, an attempt was made to set a vehicle on fire while workers were inside,” said the company in a statement. “The attackers also wielded axes, swinging them at vehicles and through a truck’s window. Flare guns were also fired at workers.”

After tonight’s festivities, Trudeau has the political life expectancy of a mosquito.
Truckies might consider halting deliveries to Ottowa after this.
It might take a week, and less than 3 weeks, but Ottawa will think very differently.

A new development I think that needs monitoring. Some weeks back I mentioned how the advertising push on Australian TV re shingles had gone up a gear with the ad being amended to include a comment that some people might experience severe outbreaks. Previously the ad had just identified that 1 in 3 people would experience shingles in their lifetime and should consult their doctor. As we know Israel was first to report increased shingles outbreaks following covid inoculations but (and as I previously acknowledged) “expert” comment was that the inoculations were NOT the cause and instead effectively it was normal for people to get shingles ie a sort of coincidence.
My concern was if the coincidental reactivation of chicken pox virus – which we vaccinate against – coincidentally manifested into shingles then what other childhood vaccination agents were maybe in danger of a similar, but totally coincidentally and unrelated re-emergence. The horror thought of course was polio.
Now, PLEASE, not a conspiracy theory but a desperate plea for the experts to at least comment on Malawi’s new outbreak of polio with full disclosure and honesty. The claim is the young girl got infected on a trip to Pakistan last November. Pakistan and Afghanistan are the 2 remaining countries where polio is an issue so the claim seems reasonable. The worry is that Pakistan only came to the covid party 1 year after the first case was reported so IF we have a shingles/polio scenario the timing of this Malawi infection would be the tip of the iceberg that we may be now heading towards.
Hey, but not to worry, Bill Gates was in Pakistan reassuring everyone that polio is on the way out just this last week. What a reassuring coincidence.
[“now please not a conspiracy” but then on with conspiracy theories! .]ED

Is there any good paper on shingles and vaccination? My searches found ones with small numbers and an increase but 5 to 7 per million cases. There are others with comorbitities like RA or inflammatory conditions. I’m not saying it isn’t a problem, but I cant see them doing a national ad campaign if the numbers are that rare. Other vaccines do lead to shingles increases.
We need to keep in mind that there have been periodic outbreaks of polio since long before Covid or vaccines arrived. That doesn’t mean it isn’t related, but it doesn’t mean it is.
I’m interested, tho I need more information.
Polio and Shingles are very different diseases, different viruses. Different mechanisms. Be a little wary of blending them. Polio causes damage that may cause trouble many years later. Chicken pox is a herpes virus, like cold sores, it can sit dormant in nerves and return years later as shingles.
20
Shingles was listed in the Pfizer papers as an adverse reaction.
00
Hard to read clearly but the “fine print”at the bottom of the TV and Drs. surgery warnings about shingles gives validation references as reports dated 2008 and 2010.

I think it is time that opposition conservative parties and leaders, especially in Canada, stopped simply telling Trudeau he is a naughty boy and got off their r-sends to stand side-by-side with the protesters. Talking isn’t working. This is teetering on a knife-edge and could go either way so, if Bergen’s conservatives meekly allow Trudeau to walk all over parliament and just wag their fingers, they are part of the problem.
110
Yes, but I would guess most of the people in the convoy are conservatives, deplorables, which is why they are ignored. Standing on the frontlines achieves publicity, but there is plenty of that.
The Conservatives members need to be in parliament working deals to bring down this dictatorship. It’s their job. There are two knife edges. Getting people to cross the floor on a no confidence vote. Then the executive government falls, Trudeau and his ministers. Even the threat of this would bring Trudeau’s partners to their senses.
70
But they are working deals!
That is the purpose of being in parliament.
Remember the deals you want are not the deals that they will come out with.
Those in power have bargaining strength in having access to other people’s money, that is more powerful than election platforms.
The solution is not better politicians, it is in reducing the powers of governments.
00
Wikipedia is up to date!
This happened in “2020 (which Trudeau was able to hang onto) 2022 there will be another Non Confidence vote and he won’t win this time with a minority government”.
20
And this obviously current comment is odd if Wikipedia is to accurately report (historical) facts. It talks not about the past but about the future. And predicts his failure.
So whoever put in this comment is a likely accurate prediction, but no supporter of Trudeau. And Wikipedia in my experience is always making excuses for the left of politics, so it’s a bit of a surprise.

Another Russian Joke.
A man is caught trying to leave the USSR illegally and dragged back to KGB head quarters.
He is grilled “Why are you trying to leave the USSR?”.
“Two reasons” says the man.
“So what is reason #1?”
“I am afraid that the USSR will collapse and there will be chaos and disorder and I will lose everything.”
“Rubbish” says the KGB, “the USSR is so strong and powerful it can never ever collapse and it has total power and total control of everything.”
The KGB guy then says, “and so what is the second reason”.
“You have just given it.”
50
Around that area a story I read and retell somewhat IIRC
A Jewish man headed to Israel explaining the statue of Stalin to Russian customs
“So I can remember the man who created the worker’s paradise”
To Israeli customs
“So I can curse that bastard every time I see it”
At a family gathering
“That is 10 kg of gold on which I paid no tax or duty”

The Ottawa Police used horses to charge into a protesting crowd earlier today. An elderly disabled woman (identified by red jacket) was standing with her mobility walker as the mounted police charged. She was crushed by the horses and Fox News journalist Sara Carter {LINK} is reporting she died from her injuries.

[ The elderly woman is not “confirmed under law” to have died of her injuries, to my knowledge. That said, a 700 kg horse is quite deadly. ]

It is not “amazing”; it is simply responding to the unfolding situation. Omicron has made any mandates superfluous. The mandates were highly effective in keeping people out of hospitals when the delta variant was dominant. A comparison of the situations in Australia as high vax versus low vax Russia provides the contrast during the period that vaccinations were available:

And it is likely that the vaccinations are still useful in lowering the fatality rate as indicated by a comparison of low vax South Africa and high vax Australia:

Leaders are being hunted down and arrested. Trucks are being removed. It appears Trudeau is not letting up one iota and is going to do whatever it takes to shut down the freedom fighters. I hope I’m wrong but I think we’ve lost.
30
Many rightly are saying the truckers must stay calm and peaceful. The problem of course is the Canadian government is not and has already turned violent on their own citizens. There are only two paths. One, the freedom fighters give up and lose the battle, regroup and try another day. Two, things escalate and we have a major civil uprising if not civil war. If the first path, then what? Same issue; there are the same two paths on offer again. Eventually one side has to surrender completely.
50
He who remains calm and turns away,
Will live to fight another day.
I am quite sure that the Truckers will regroup and exert pressure in other areas and forms. Perhaps refusing to transport certain materials to certain addresses.
80
The draconian government will then use others or even the military to transport the materials. We have to understand Trudeau is ruthless and will not back down so easily.

If that’s true, it was a huge success. Three weeks is enough. And the whole world is grateful.
Many countries and Federated states like the US and Australia and Canada have decided that while Wuhan Flu will never be gone, we have to seize the most benign virus before a worse one appears.
What is different to 1920 is that the viral manipulation science which produced this horror has also produced vaccines. This has never happened before and the world has learned a great
deal about viruses. And we will continue to learn Hopefully herd immunity is a broken rationalization consigned to the dustbin of history.
Meanwhile Tedros Adhomen is asking for more power when he and President Xi should be on trial for Crimes against humanity. And China should be paying compensation, or they will just do it again.
And a new, potentially more dangerous and even more infectious variant has appeared.
As for Trudeau, words fail. Even Jordan Peterson, a famous liberal thinker, has not a good word to say about him. And a lot of Liberals are wondering openly if the world’s Liberal parties are at all Liberal. Certainly not the Canadian Liberals or the US Democrats or the moderate UK Labor under Jeremy Corbyn. They have all been dragged hard left by the universities, the public service and outrageous hard left people like Corbyn, Saunders and in the US AOC and the squad who hate everything about America. Trump was pilloried for suggesting these first generation migrants could go home and fix their own countries.
We may see a fragmentation of real Liberals from the world’s former Liberal parties and the working class from Labor parties, while Trudeau wonders why the Canadian military told him where to go.

While all this is going on, what is happening in the rest of Canada?
Is food and fuel etc being delivered to stores and gas stations?
Are the truckers involved in the protests and convoy able to work, or have they had their insurances revoked so they are not able to drive their trucks legally?
OR, will Trudeau’s next move have to be to force the truckers back to work?
The truckers have worked their socks off for the past two years and kept the country going, so it seems very ungrateful of the government to treat them this way, without even offering to have a discussion with them to attempt to resolve the issues.

The so called ‘anti-vaxers’ are concerned that the first release RNA vaccines are causing complex problems in some people. The first release RNA vaccines were not adequately tasted and dangerous. Forced vaccination and uniformed vaccination (general population is clueless as to how dangerous the first release RNA vaccines are) should be stopped immediately. Omicron is as deadly as the flu. There is now no need to force people to be vaccinated with an experimental RNA ‘vaccines’ that provide less than 6 months protection.
This is an interview of 22 year old, UK young man who had the metal taste in his mouth with in seconds of receiving his first Pfizer vaccination. The metal taste lasted for a day. He then started to have neurological problems.
The metal taste is caused by the RNA vaccine inappropriately being injected into a vein. The vaccine causes the body to produce first release covid spike which causes neurological damage. There is data that the RNA vaccines are causing some patients to continue to produce deadly first release covid spikes for months.

Trudeau’s risk (reality) is a Canadian lawsuit challenging, Canada’s mandatory RNA vaccination mandates vs RNA vaccine side effects and the risk/dangers of getting Omicron.
Based on the data/biochemistry, the covid crisis will be over by the end of April in the US, Canada, UK, and so on. When we are no longer frighten of getting covid and no longer wear masks in public spaces, mandatory vaccinations with dangerous RNA vaccines, will not be accepted.
Why is the covid crises suddenly ending now? What has changed? Why is the mainstream media not covering this sudden ‘miracle’? The UK death rate for Omicron was over estimated by a factor of 10.
http://engineerbiology.org/w/images/8/8e/We%E2%80%99ll_Have_Herd_Immunity_by_April_-_WSJ.pdf
“Amid the dire Covid warnings, one crucial fact has been largely ignored: Cases are down 77% over the past six weeks. If a medication slashed cases by 77%, we’d call it a miracle pill. Why is the number of cases plummeting much faster than experts predicted?”
“We’ll Have Herd Immunity by April Covid cases have dropped 77% in six weeks. Experts should level with the public about the good news.”
It is estimated that 2/3 of the US have had covid. Omicron is so contagious it cannot be stopped by masks and for those who are Vit D normal and do not have cormorbidities, the Omicron symptoms are similar to a cold. The UK, US, and Canada have given up counting covid cases and tracking covid cases. School age children in many states and provinces have stopped wearing masks.
The vaccines do not stop Omicron and New Zealand has proven that Omicron cannot be stopped by isolation. The majority of the people in these countries will have long term immunity to covid.
http://engineerbiology.org/w/images/8/8e/We%E2%80%99ll_Have_Herd_Immunity_by_April_-_WSJ.pdf
20
“The majority of people .. will have long term immunity” coupled with 99.7% Omicron is a much better explanation than what should the discredited idea of “herd immunity”. Sweden’s pursuit of herd immunity meant 16,000 dead from a population 40% that of Australia which has only 5,000 dead, not 40,000. And hopefully the world is far more awake to the need for constant vigilance at the borders and to quickly test incoming passengers in a time of ultra rapid travel and limit flu deaths worldwide. It is no less than we used to do before the 1990s.
And it’s time to review the value of the entire UN, whose WHO and IPCC in particular have caused so much havoc in the world. In the hands of communists states like China and friends, these very political panels have lost their original purpose and have led the attack on Western democracies. China is exempt from complying with either.

And it’s time to review the value of the entire UN,
The UN was meant to prevent wars and settle differences between countries peacefully.

The Canadian protests are moving to the courts and to legislation. There are two separate court challenges to Trudeau’s emergency act. Omicron is 1/10 as deadly as Delta. The pressure to drop mandatory vaccination and covid restrictions is growing world-wide.
Covid natural infection based on US data provides more than 1 year of protection with no sign of reduction in protection/immunity. Based on other viruses (SARS) the covid protection from natural infection will last for many years. If everyone has or will have natural immunity to covid because of Omicron that lasts for years, what is the justification to use and mandate the dangerous first release RNA vaccines that provide less than 6 months protection?
The vaccine passports have been or will be dropped in four provinces. In the province of Alberta (first province to drop vaccine passports), people now eat in restaurants/work out in gyms/sit in coffee shops without masks and without showing vaccine passports. Obviously, everyone was gotten or will get Omicron. Most people are not afraid of getting Omicron. There is no covid tracking.
