But healthy unvaccinated people “will need to be tested at the airport and again eight days after arrival, and isolate for 14 days.” Righto.
The Australian PM Scott Morrison keeps telling us he opposes mandates, yet he hasn’t said “boo” about this international treaty. Indeed, if the Australian government was set up as a subsidiary wing of Pfizer and Moderna, they could hardly have done more to lift profits

The fact that I advocate that we shouldn’t by default follow the UN does leave the door open for a UN vaccination program to be circumvented by a nation or nations not wanting to impose that program on its citizens. But my advice isn’t to never follow the UN so that also means that a vaccination program like smallpox could still be achieved. The fact that our view is to be heard by the UN implies our view might be different to other nations’ views and therefore any UN decision might be contrary to our view. Hence why we need to consider each UN direction on its merits.

It was around about that time I realized we are facing outright sabotage. Not only did they encourage open borders, but soon afterwards they also went for the Chinese “zero covid” strategy and governments around the world started locking down cities in unison … even closing small shops and hairdressers while keeping the international airports open! I know because I live under a flight path and the jets were flying in and out every evening. This strategy is massively failing in China and they are using it to destroy their own people. They can barely keep their cities operating with the basic essentials right now.
We are facing worldwide food shortages … entirely deliberate and man made … which no doubt will be blamed on Climate Change or something ridiculous like that. The shortage of fertilizer was caused by high gas prices which in turn were caused by intentional government shutdown of much of the gas production.
They screwed up global shipping, partly with additional environmental regulations (forcing them to use diesel in 2020, and stupid mixed fuels based on animal fat) and partly with covid regulations (crews get stuck on the ship for many months at a time and end up overtired). Then California started also imposing restrictions on trucks, and of course the dumbarse vax mandates, which do nothing other than disrupt the transport industry.
The war in Ukraine could have easily been avoided … Russia repeatedly requested that Ukraine simply not install NATO medium range missile launchers, and stop the persecution of Russian-speaking Ukrainians in the East. The NATO generals wanted this war, because it gives their lives a purpose and a bigger budget. Putin probably also benefits by securing his own position of power and giving him a pretext for internal repression.
The US military brass have done their best to undermine morale, get rid of anyone capable of critical thought, and discourage new enlistments. Maybe in the big picture that could turn out a good thing if it genuinely reduces the defense spending, but in the short term it’s very destabilizing and it might be the first step towards martial law in the USA.
Central banks across the world indulged in massive money printing, and now we have the obvious consequence which is terrible price inflation and they just come up with excuses, tell people “Look over there!” This is essentially a form of looting, because whoever gets to print the money also has a huge advantage over everyone else forced to accept the freshly printed money. In the long run it’s also economic sabotage and as destruction of fiat currencies. We are living through something very close to the Weimar Republic but this time around people should know better. You’d think they would know better … except when you talk to most people about this, they actually know nothing.
Now we have fires breaking out: a factory in Melbourne, and then a power station in Puerto Rico. IMHO … the organizations such as Tyre Extinguishers, and Extinction Rebellion are training grounds for more serious saboteurs. They find the radical people willing to do small acts of vandalism and then winnow out the real crazies and give them tools to go start dangerous fires. The real purpose is to make ordinary people afraid, and clamoring for bigger government and more restrictions. That was BLM’s modus operandi also: go around starting fires all around the place. There’s too much similarity in the behavior of these groups for it to be random chance.
I predict we will have more fires breaking out, with the objective of general chaos and disruption.

Regarding the Federal CHO’s. I think they are largely responsible for our crazy COVID response of the last 2 years. This is just another example. During those early National Cabinet meetings (proceedings never revealed) in 2020, I think Kelly or Murphy advised the meeting that Australia’s best chance was to isolate from the rest of the world. The state premiers have copped most of the blame for the local COVID policies- and some of that criticism is fair. But, it was the feds who set the scene. Take hotel quarantine for example. We are a population of just 25 million. Which brainiac thought that having different hotel quarantine setups in each state was a good idea? Should have been only 1 entry point with 1 standard level of conditions. In the US, a population of 330 m, they have only 2 major international entry points. (apart from the Mexican border!!). The system was bound to fail.

There are major airports and sea ports in most capital cities, therefore the logistics are easier if you have a quarantine station somewhere close to those ports.
The real problem is that COVID easily spreads through the air … and none of the hotels were designed to isolate airflow to each room … therefore they were not properly functioning as quarantine. Besides that, the overall security and management of these facilities was haphazard at best.
One of the many blunders along the way was insistence that coronavirus would not spread as an aerosol and only got carried by big droplets and on people’s hands. Although it’s a fine thing to wash your hands now and then, it has no effect on respiratory virus transmission, and this was already well documented in the literature at the time but Australia dumbly followed the WHO and took almost a year to figure it out.

The fact that our view is to be heard by the UN implies our view might be different to other nations’ views and therefore any UN decision might be contrary to our view. Hence why we need to consider each UN direction on its merits.
Did you support the extended lockdowns like we had in Vic & NSW Peter? If so, you went against the UN’s recommendation. Careful. You could create a smallpox revival with such thoughts 😉

Article 13 is quite clear:
I am not clear on the legal standing of this document in Australia. However it was an Australian who chaired the drafting process and pledged Australia to follow the articles.
I expect all the unvaccinated people who have been cowered and treated as outcasts would be able to mount a solid class action against the Australian and State governments for abuse of human rights.
I would support crowd funding for such a case. There may be a law firm willing to take it on with a juicy settlement as the carrot.
There should be a few politicians and public administrators in fear of losing their own freedom for the abuses of human rights over Covid.
I doubt Clive Palmer will get enough support to change the situation. Maybe enough of the LNP can be convinced to put freedom on their agenda.

Clearly uses the word “may” instead of “shall” from April 18th.

Despite Senator Rennick’s great work, I think he missed a golden opportunity here and I, for one, will be following through with letters, calls and enails.
Here’s the thing: The WHO state categorically that the vaccine does NOT stop transmission.
Therefore Dr (of what?) Paul Kelly’s advice to the government is incompetent.

@Roy I agree that your scepticism is warranted. The date could be changed, or the “exemption” removed, with a casual flick of the pen at any time. The language is slightly murky too, as you point out. I’ll believe it when I see it.
At the same time, let’s recognise that Senator Renwick’s effort on this issue (and maybe some others’ including Joanne’s article) may have yielded a little result here. I’m almost 100% certain that this 18 April sunset date on unvaccinated travel restrictions has been added to the homeaffairs page since I checked it out 5 days ago.

After re-watching Senator Renwick’s video, I’m now confused as to when the extension till the 18th was announced, whether Kelly is saying the biosecurity act will kick in after the 18th to the same end, and when homeaffairs updated their webpage (maybe I missed the post-April 18 bullet point last time).
