Some imperial colonization is fine after all. China exploits Africa and nobody cares

While Western cultural warriors are bravely destroying statues of dead colonialists, one kind of modern colonialist gets a free pass.

China gets away with nearly everything: climate crimes, bioweapons accidents, IP theft, and slave labor camps. Maybe  spending $100,000 a month on New York Times ads is all it takes to bury unfavourable stories in Western media outlets. But then there are also friends like Mitch McConnell in the US Senate, two million communist party members spread throughout the West,  all the universities dependent on Chinese students, and Western academics with jobs for China on-the-side. The West might be quite cheap to buy off really.

Bolsonaro from Brazil warns that China has re-colonized nearly all of Africa

Tucker Carlson:

Here in the United States, we’ve been so deeply engrossed in our own debates over whether men should be allowed to compete on girls swim teams or whether it’s immoral to carry our groceries in plastic bags that we’ve missed the fact that the government of China has been busy with its own agenda — taking over the world.

In the space of just 15 years, for example, the Chinese have succeeded in re-colonizing the entire continent of Africa. Didn’t think that could happen? Well, it is happening. In Africa, China now calls the shots and takes the natural resources for itself. Period. As of tonight, there is only one remaining African country that dares to recognize Taiwan, and it happens to be among the smallest countries in Africa, Swaziland. Everyone else on the continent obeys Beijing.

But wait a second. How can this be happening? Isn’t colonialism racist and bad? Yes, it is and no one’s worse and more racist than the Chinese. Go on Chinese social media sometime and see how they describe the Africans they’ve subjugated. It’s horrifying. So, why isn’t the New York Times writing stories about any of this? You know why – because the New York Times is on China’s side. That’s why they all but ignore the brutal Chinese colonization of Latin America, which is also in full swing right now.

Colonialism violates everything the New York Times once claimed to believe in, but that’s okay, because they never really believed any of it anyway. It was always about power. …

Bolsonaro!

One person who is emphatically not in favor of it is the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro. So, of course, the American media hate him. … These are people whose research consists of three minutes on Wikipedia on the way to the studio. “He’s a racist. Of course, he is.” He “doesn’t want lockdowns.” There’s your proof.

But it is the last clip from plagiarist Fareed Zakaria that explains why they’re so mad at Bolsonaro. Bolsonaro … represents a “growing global threat to the ideas of liberalism” –– liberalism, meaning neoliberalism, meaning globalism.

And in fact, that is true. Bolsonaro is no Justin Trudeau. He’s not a low-IQ fascist who would be working as an Instagram influencer if he didn’t have his own army. He’s not the president of Ukraine who shuts down television stations that dare to criticize him and outlaws opposition parties and arms Nazis.

In conventional terms, Bolsonaro is, in fact, liberal. He has done nothing to stop civil liberties in Brazil. But at the same time, he is a nationalist. He cares about his country. He resists China. Therefore, he must be stopped. George Soros hates him and so does Joe Biden. He’s not with the program.

So naturally, we wanted to meet him. Yesterday we did. We sat with Bolsonaro for more than an hour and the first thing we learn is that the left in Brazil hates him very much. They tried to kill him when he first ran for president four years ago. With very little money in the backing of no party, he came out of nowhere to get 57 million votes.

But he almost didn’t survive to be elected. He was stabbed by a leftist almost to death at a rally, at which point the left funded lawyers to come in and rescue his attempted murderer — an amazing story that hasn’t gotten a ton of coverage in the United States.

Another bit of news the ABC, BBC, CBC etc forgot to mention.

Besides, Tedros Adhonom the China appointed head of the WHO, the first non medical doctor and communist revolutionary of the Tigray LIberation Front dictators of Ethiopia, stated officially on behalf of WHO around 28th January 2020 that the Wuhan Flu was not infectious, person to person. The WHO is a division of the United Nations charged with preventing and controlling pandemics where the UN exists to prevent wars like Ukraine and Climate Change.

After at least ten million people dead from his non infectious COVID disease, a curse which will be with humans forever and definitely not from the Wuhan laboratory studying making bat viruses infectious to humans by inserting part of the AIDS virus, he has been reappointed to the position.

Apparently the man made bioweapon came on an American frozen chicken deliberately introduced by the US Armed forces in the Military games in Wuhan in October 2019. It definitely did not come from a bioweapons laboratory built by the French for the CCP army in Wuhan and partly funded indirectly by America and the same Dr. Fauci who is still the Chief medical Adviser to the President of the United States. At least the WHO has renamed the virus to COVID to eliminate its racist label. They are now currently renaming Monkey Pox to eliminate slurs on the gay community and bathhouses in Nigeria. Under Tedros Adhonom, the WHO now avoids stopping pandemics and concentrates on eliminating prejudice and defeating white male supremacy.

It’s only fair. China is an historic victim of US carbon dioxide and needs assistance and carbon credit cash after three US led wars with Japan, Korea and Vietnam and US colonization of the Phillipines.

I totally agree. China is up to something. China is building and staffing hundreds of thousands of permanent virus testing station to enable China to test their entire population a couple of times a week.

China has installed and requires face recognition for all purchases in the China. The face recognition cameras monitor all transportation systems, in addition to all purchases. The face recognition data is monitored by a Chinese AI. The AI controlled system can track their entire population to stop the outbreak of the next designer deadly virus.

The ordinary person who bothered to read a bit has known about the colonisation of Africa for a decade. By a series of deals china has also acquired European ports including Piraeus. We have known about their ill treatment of the uighurs for the same time. Yet still our elite have traded with them and invited them into our power stations and communication networks. And sent our jobs and industry to them.

All the while letting them trade unfairly and to ignore the co2 rules the west are so keen on.

Unfortunately our elite are nowhere near as clever as they think they are but unfortunately they remain our elite.

Our elites are not by any stretch clever…they can’t work out simple processes like asking what causes A ? And when they get to an answer of B they then fail to ask what causes B. And so on …..it’s pretty basic stuff but like my young infant grandchildren, they are happy to know that if they press a button a light and song will turn on…and that’s all they want to know…

From what I can see, the political “right” has been successfully tagged as evil and wrong in almost all countries claiming to have some form of democracy and some level of free press. What is acceptable for a “left-wing” politician is a grave violation of human rights when done by a “right-wing” politician

The oil and gas industry in many African counties is underpinned by China, or more precisely, the Chinese Communist Party and has been for a very long time. As soon as political unrest in a country drove away the usual big O&G players, China moved in – from CCP funded drilling rigs to CCP funded O&G companies.

They are often the epitome of “colonial”, bringing in their own workforce, not hiring locals, only hiring non-Chinese companies when they have no alternative…and, to make matters worse, treating their own people like slaves with shocking accommodation and working conditions, as well as ridiculous amounts of time away from home.

I imagine it is not this bad in 100% of cases, but I have heard enough independent first hand stories about CCP O&G in Africa to think that well run and humane operations are the exception, not the norm.

    ” China controls Africa ”

Can someone point to a document that is a summary of what the headline means?
    Further, what does “colonization” mean?
The source of all knowledge (Wikipedia) says: “Colonization, or colonisation refers to large-scale population movements where the migrants maintain strong links with their—or their ancestors’—former country, gaining significant privileges over other inhabitants of the territory by such links.

Is this meant to mean “economic control”?

    ——————————–
[A fair question. I’ve changed it to “exploits” rather than “controls” and it’s better than it was. It was Bolsonaro that used the term “colonisation” so I’ll leave that. – Jo]

      https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-truth-about-china-s-investment-in-africa
What [the Chinese] have done [in Africa] for the past 30 years is to systematically rape and pillage the continent.

China has insidiously worked its way into Africa by establishing ‘private’ contractors who then bid for building work and underbid all local opposition by being state-funded. Many local firms were thus put out of business.

Their ‘aid’ projects — starting with the ill-fated TanZam railway — were funded not by grants but by loans accepted by weak and venal governments. One more recent such project was the complete relaying of the railway through Botswana. This was carried out using Chinese designs, Chinese engineers, Chinese machinery, Chinese labour and Chinese materials. Even the stone ballast was brought in from China. When it was completed, it was found that the lines had been laid some 100mm too high for the full 600+km length. The Botswana government then had to relay every level crossing at their own expense. The costs of these ‘aid’ projects remain as loans to be repaid by the governments, who thus become trapped in debt to China.

In Sudan, the Chinese government bought hundreds of square kilometres of arable land — a scarce resource. The Chinese then used the land to grow food using Chinese farmers, seed, fertiliser and machinery. All the produce was exported to China. None of the above provides any benefits to the general African population — only to a few corrupt leaders.

I was in Botswana in 2005. There were Chinese shops in competition with every local shop of any type. Eventually, every non-chinese shop was “displaced”. It was like watching termites. The chinese shops undercut everyone by just enough to bankrupt the opposition.

A “controlled domination” of every local business. Guessing the chinese shops were subsidized.

Xi’s intention was to uplift the world’s poor and make money.

For thousands of years they have been merchants, its in the culture, but unfortunately in our present geopolitical situation Beijing is misunderstood. What seemed like a good idea in theory, is now backfiring.

Number’s differ between different sources. Russia argues the cultural revolution cost 80,000,000 lives. Others argue for 50 or 60 million. I have never heard a figure as low as 30 million. That’s close to the annual birth rate for 1,400 million people.
It’s a real concern for nuclear or biological warfare when a country does not miss 80 million people. That’s more than the population of all but 20 countries. The bean counters of Beijing may consider a biological war is worth the losses for world domination.

Fascism is an ideology of the Left not the Right.

A problem with this statement is the vague and variable meaning assigned to the terms “Left” and “Right”.
Modern usage generally refers to an ad hoc grouping of several social hierarchical orders into a binary division in the government of France up to the time of the Revolution (ie the French “Estate” System) but has much earlier origins, probably preceding the Greek “Classical Period”.
My view is that our perceptions of Fascism and Marxism are based on historical instances of degenerate Corporatism.
US style Liberal Corporatism was travelling well until its recent shift into genocidal progressivism.

Alternatively Left = Big Government (“positive” group rights) and Left = Small Government (“negative” individual rights)
By “negative” rights I mean specific rights, recognised by government, for individuals to be free of arbitrary interference by government.
The recent US Supreme Court decision in Roe v Wade appears to have corrected an earlier decision which asserted a woman’s absolute positive right to abort a foetus with the current decision affirming more fundamental negative rights of the woman and the foetus- in the case of the foetus, the right not to be subject to arbitrary termination of life based solely on a mother’s prerogative.

Fascism, properly understood, is not a phenomenon of the right at all.

Instead, it is, and always has been, a phenomenon of the left.

This fact – an inconvenient truth if ever there was one – is obscured in our time by the equally mistaken belief that fascism and communism are opposites.

In reality, they are closely related, historical competitors for the same constituents, seeking to dominate and control the same social space.

“The Left” are the fascists – using the protection of the state and big business to violently suppress anyone daring to speak out of turn.

chinese corporations are run by the chinese government: “No such thing as a private company in China”

they can therefore use their corporate power (social, political, economic) to influence the decision making in foreign countries where they operate, for the benefit of the ccp.

this means that the influence of the chinese fascist dictatorship (fascism being the union of state and corporate power) extends beyond its own national boundaries.

In 2015 Chinese Military Scientists said Third World War would be fought with biological weapons

Yes. Coronavirus was the exercise they needed to test Western responses and look at dispersal techniques etc..

It worked better than they could possibly imagine. Sun Yat-sen and Chairman Mao would be most pleased.

    1) It proved the loyalty to the Chicomms of their Slave Army of Useful Idiots of the Left embedded in the West for their support of draconian policies of the West.

    2) It proved the willingness of Western Governments and people to throw away values such as individual rights and freedoms like freedom of speech and movement. Draconian legislation was introduced in most Western countries to further enable this, most of which will never be removed, including in Australia.

    3) The lockdowns caused tremendous economic damage to Western countries, further weakening them. The damage was possibly as great as WW1 and WW2, or at least approaching that in magnitude if you include the massive debts incurred.

    4) Big Pharma, and the useful idiots who supported them convinced governments to ban the use of safe, effective drugs or vitamin supplements such as D (in the deficient) to treat or confer resistance to ‘rona, even in the absence of “vaccines” which initially were not initially available. This caused thr unnecessary loss of many lives.

    5) Tremendous social damage was also done, demoralising and weakening populations and social networks and cohesiveness.

The preparatory weakening of the West was done without firing a shot. The next phase will be even easier.

“Chinese colonists good. European colonists bad.”

Africa (in general) was far better under European colonisation than it ever will be under the Chicomms.

Obviously there were some bad colonisers of the West such as the Belgians but in general colonisation was beneficial to Africa who previously had no advanced systems of government or organisation and planning, law, medicine, engineering, literacy, numeracy, human rights etc..

From what I saw in Africa none of the colonisers did any good for the locals. Every one of them treated the place like a playground for their rich, to be exploited on the harshest terms for economic gain and to subvert their fellow-colonising enemies.

China is no different- I’m sure all their “aid” is just like the West’s, “Here’s $150million, $20million in bribes for the top politicians and $130mil for you to spend on our products..”

Those locals sent overseas for education became spies for the colonisers and their education led to a safe Govt sinecure somewhere so their medical/science/engineering degree was never used.

          ‘China is no different-‘

This is the 21st century and socialism with Chinese characteristics is a long way from European colonialism.

Premier Xi imagined a smooth roll out of infrastructure, while ignoring the political cultures of the democratic African states. This was mistake and no doubt the cadres are studying political science.

“Africa (in general) was far better under European colonisation than it ever will be under the Chicomms.”

Suggest you bone up on reality. Here’s a start that might change your rosy opinion of European colonisation

      “Effects of Imperialism in Africa
Colonialism had a huge impact on the lives of Africans. Economic policies were adopted by Europeans who destroyed the colonies, rather than help them. Africa was damaged economically, politically, and culturally. Africa’s traditional lifestyles and culture were destroyed. The Europeans had no interest in traditional African culture and had no concern for the Africans. There were several negative effects of colonialism that became evident after many African nations became independent.

First of all, colonial governments took over much of Africa’s land for their own personal or commercial use, like mining or commercial farms. They were selective in choosing land and took only the best and called it their own. Belgium and Britain were mostly responsible for taking the land. The Belgians took land in the Congo and the British conquered land in Kenya and South Africa. Central, East, and South Africa had nice climates and fertile soil, encouraging the British and Belgians to settle these areas.

Once European nations began creating farms and mining companies in Africa, they needed people to work on them so they started using Africans as cheap labor. Africans who lived in this area either lost their land to Europeans or were unable to live off their land. They moved to the towns, farms, or mines started by Europeans. Working conditions were terrible, with corporal punishment and low wages. They were paid in cash and food rations.

Their biggest failing was to draw lines on a map and say “This is our country..” In almost all instances they cut tribes in half, filled their new country with mixtures of poeples and favoured one tribe over another.

After their independence nearly all colonies fell into civil war as those tribes fought for power.

            Yep. You’re right on that.

Gaza should never have been left outside the borders of Israel – nor the Left Bank.

The inhabitants would then have been granted the same rights as those granted in Israel – if they stayed – with no right of return if they departed.

Thus Israel became the only democratic and free country in the Middle-east. Multi-party parliamentary democracy. Universal suffrage. Rule of Law. Freedom of the press. Human rights enshrined in the Constitution. Basic Law: Human Dignity and Liberty, with Supreme Court having overriding authority.

            Yep.

What I see there Ian sounds pretty good to me. The world is not always a pretty place, as the West is about to find out.

But what you are saying is quite correct. The Africans often had little interest in western man’s way, his society, work ethic, laws and systems. And as Ian Smith said he wasn’t sure their idea or concept of society was wrong, but it was certainly different.

That’s why Smith was implementing a genuine multicultural society, the infrastructure laws and integration for the blacks in it. A black could have become PM under Smith’s plan, but he would have been trained, educated about such things so as to be capable. It could have quite possibly worked well. Reportedly most blacks were quite content with the Rhodesians, they had land they were happy to exist on. But a minority caused trouble spurred on by marxist agitators.

OF course you take best land as a colonizer, you are there to survive and thrive, and surviving wasn’t easy those days.

Hey True Blue, don’t say you’ve gone
Say you’ve knocked off for a smoko
And you’ll be back la-ater on
Hey True Blue, Hey True Blue
Give it to me straight, face to face
    Are you really disappearing
    Just another dying race
    Hey True Blue
True Blue, is it me and you
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a cockatoo
Is it standin’ by your mate when he’s in a fight
    Or just Vegemi-ite
    True Blue, I’m a-asking you
Hey True Blue, can you bear the load
Will you tie it up with wire
Just to keep the show on the road
    Hey True Blue
Hey True Blue, now be Fair Dinkum
    Is your heart still there
If they sell us out like sponge cake
    Do you really care
    Hey True Blue

I know that African data doesn’t seem to interest many people but even Matt Ridley recently shared a personal interest in Kenya and Tanzania since 1968 and he also used the population and life expectancy data then compared to the same data today.
But African countries have shown rapid improvement since 1952 despite the curse of HIV AIDs since the 1980s and Malaria deaths have always been a problem.
AGAIN here’s what I wrote about Africa a couple of days ago and I used the UN data from Macrotrends site.
BTW I’m sure China will continue to help themselves to the resources of Africa and will always put Chinese interests first and Africans last.
But do we have to spend endless trillions $ around the world because we somehow have a looming Climate CRISIS / EMERGENCY/ or even an EXISTENTIAL threat?
And apparently we now have to WASTE trillions $ on TOXIC S & W globally to fix this very dangerous problem?
But who really thinks about their delusional claims?
Can we easily prove they are wrong about the looming threat to the Human race?
Here’s the African data for population and life expectancy since 1950.
1950 population 232 million, life expectancy 36 years.

1970 pop 363 million, life exp 46 yrs.

2000 pop 810 mill, life exp 53 yrs.

2022 pop 1400 million, life exp 63.8 yrs.

The combined 53 African countries are poor and should be our worst example, but the past 72 years years have seen the highest population increase in Human history, plus today we also have the highest life expectancy as well.
How is this possible if we’re facing a Climate CRISIS?
In fact since 1950 we’ve seen record improvement and a very BENIGN climate.
AGAIN here’s the UN African data from Macrotrends site.

Yep, another way to look at the ‘Liberal vs. Conservative/Left vs. Right’ divide.
        Narrative vs. Reality
        Aspiration vs. Ability
        Control vs. Freedom
        Fragility vs. Strength
        State vs. God
        Equity vs. Equality
        Global vs. National
        Consensus vs. Science
Feminism vs. ‘toxic’ masculinity (but we can’t define a woman)
        Advancing glaciers vs. receding glaziers
(enlightened global government policy will make them stand still, faith is all the is required, and the New Faith must be enforced without debate)

Almost seems like Light vs. Dark (or rolling blackouts).
In America, the ‘right’ to terminate a birthing person’s emerging fully gestated offspring for convenience is bringing some to riotous condition.
(Even though in ‘reality’ this ‘right’ will remain uninfringed in 30 States.)
These same people will protest the killing of chickens.

Good vs. Evil is pretty much it.

The Chinese are exempt or not detected by the leftist radar because Chinese are not white, they can’t possibly be bad. Everything for the leftist comes from their core self loathing of their western culture, which comes from their love, a theoretical love, of others over themselves, an out of control sense of compassion.

A sense of compassion at odds with their reality which is they are actually quite selfish people – my personal experience – displayed by their desire for equity, because is benefits them.

A point that always seems to be ignored and/or maybe not understood is the UN Lima Protocol 1975 agreement between developed nations to support developing nations to take over manufacturing industry over time. China has greatly benefited from this and now has an economy and military to rival the United States of America as a result.

Consider other UN agreements and treaties following the Lima Protocol including Agenda 21, Kyoto and Paris Agreements, etc. All effectively undermining or locking up the strengths of developed nations, gradually.

The list for consideration is long, but add the history of now deceased Maurice Strong, former UN employee who became a billionaire and is said to have been the architect of using natural climate and weather to create a hoax scare campaign of political agendas. He was granted asylum in Communist China, his cousin was a girlfriend of Chairman Mao Zedong of China and Strong advocated an end to the capitalist (free enterprise) system as the world knows it replaced by a controlled and managed system much like the CCP operates for selected trustworthy comrades.

So gradually Communist China is gaining economic and military strength, “China Associates” in developed nations are taking advantage of investment opportunities and benefiting from donations to their political parties.

Meanwhile social engineering in developed nations weakens the people of the developed nations.

China wouldn’t be such a problem if western nations could accept the judicious use of TARIFFS.

The Trump-era tariffs have either disappeared, or are about to, under the Manchurian Candidate known by the code-name Jao Bai Den.

Because of trade deficits, the world’s wealth is piling up in China.
And when the money comes back to the west, a lot of times, they’re not buying Goods & Services, instead they’re buying “big assets” — land, buildings, companies, etc.
That increases their power & influence in our countries.

The way tariffs are NOT being set to counter this, is playing into China’s hands.

We’re led by fools, and the Golden Dragon is laughing behind its hand.

It was inevitable that sub-Saharan Africa was colonised by some more technological advanced power, whether it be Europe or China.

Sub-Saharan Africa never developed a written language or a counting system much beyond three nor did they develop two story dwellings or the wheel.

Whatever the reasons, they were among the least technologically advanced people on earth, along with Australian Aboriginies.

There are indeed some examples of ancient iron smelting, and copper and brass in some parts of Africa but it’s use seems to have been confined to jewellery and some tools and weapons but didn’t seem to contribute greatly to African civilisation or technology as a whole.

An Indigenous Australian in the Northern Territory explained to me that the rivers and creeks are not really dry, they flow upside down he said with a smile.

            Some say less than that.
Was Mungo Man of the same lineage?

Supposedly (maybe) 40,000 years old BUT…the ‘ancient’ Bradshaw painting (originally 40,000 years old)…

Certainly aborigines must have arrived before ocean rise across Torres Strait (less than 18,000 years ago). But Mungo Man doesn’t seem to have been of modern build. We aren’t allowed to speculate about successive waves of migration nor why early explorers saw differing types – It will soon be called The Pascoe Effect on the ABC. You know, how they learnt about farming salty land by growing crops on the dried up Arafura sea bed before they decided to migrate to Australia over 80,000 years ago (or 8,000 years before modern man left Africa).

The latest estimate of 65-70,000 years was based on excavation of caves in Kakadu National Park Northern Territory which suggests that the people probably migrated via Papua New Guinea area, I understand that during the last Ice Age the Gulf of Carpentaria was a lake, Torres Strait Islands one segment of the shoreline and PNG another.

Cape York The Savage Frontier is an interesting book on this subject.

I think that there is another group of people who are eyeing “modern” Australia now and are thinking the exact same thing as the Europeans a few centuries ago.

The Incas didn’t have (or at least didnt use) the wheel either.
I once heard an interesting theory about cultures without the wheel, or which never developed as quickly as others. some of it is due to the environment. if one lives in a densely vegetated rainforest in mountainous/muddy terrain, the wheel is maybe not that useful. Some of it is due to population size being just high enough to have everyone slowly starving to death, some is due to lack of influence or pressure to innovate, and some is malnutrition resulting in lower than optimal intelligence.

We have a lot of people against progress today – maybe the same mentality existed tens of thousands of years ago. we shouldn’t adopt new ways of doing things because change is bad… the person who invented the wheel is actually a devil, and the person who said “let’s start cultivating land and herding animals” is a heretic.

I dont think China is alone in its “colonisation” of Africa. The West appears to have sublet the colonisation project to private interests … like the Gates Foundation for example.

Does Gates represent the West? Seems to me he represents himself and works against many of the ideals of the Free West…

But there would be other vested interests at work in Africa — fair point.

Antarctica is said to have large deposits of coal. Interestingly China maintains various bases in Antarctica, both within and outside the Australian Antarctic Territory. These bases are never inspected. But I’m sure there’s nothing untoward going on there. Chinese researchers are likely just very intrigued by the mating habits of the southern penguin. 😃

Timor to the north, Pacific Islands to the east, Antarctica to the south and Africa to the west. I’m starting to get the feeling that the noose is tightening.

Reminds one of the joke regarding the Chinese tourist facing court charged with killing and eating a penguin on Phillip Island. After being castigated by the judge, the defendant expressed remorse and stated in his defence, that he had never done anything similar in the past, and would not re-offend. On leaving the courtroom, he was summoned by the judge, who whispered; ‘Out of curiosity, I can’t help wondering – what did the penguin taste like?’ The Chinaman replied – Oh, I dunno, sort of like a cross between a koala and an echidna.’

Kind of a different slant, but it’s down thread. This phrase caught my eye:

The West might be quite cheap to buy off really.

The $31 million taken by the bidens, that is known about so far, might seem like a lot of money, but when we consider it’s about 1/2 the cost of a modern jet fighter, the Chinese are getting quite a return on their investment.

I’ve been boring my friends and family for years about how the Chinese are the new ‘colonialists’ who are taking over Africa – the continent that we Brits have been accused so much for having abused it.
    And so the world turns…
