As the bad news piles up about vaccines, the people who pushed them relentlessly are preparing their exit route. If and when the moment comes to throw the saintly-vaccines under a bus, the side effects and high risk injections will be all Trump’s fault. He rushed them, and pressured them. Distorted the science.
The FDA needs excuses to cover their appalling misjudgment and corruption and Trump is the perfect “get-out-of-jail” card. (Apart from 300 million people who remember Biden saying the vaccines were safe.)
Good-vaccine was Biden’s work. Bad-vaccine is Trump’s failure.
Here it comes:
Trump White House exerted pressure on FDA for Covid-19 emergency use authorizations, House report finds
Somebody at Politico
The Trump administration pressured the Food and Drug Administration, including former FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn, to authorize unproven treatments for Covid-19 and the first Covid-19 vaccines on an accelerated timeline, according to a report released Wednesday by Democrats on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis.
Senior Trump administration officials fought for the reauthorization of hydroxychloroquine…
“The Select Subcommittee’s findings that Trump White House officials deliberately and repeatedly sought to bend FDA’s scientific work on coronavirus treatments and vaccines to the White House’s political will are yet another example of how the prior Administration prioritized politics over public health,” House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), who also chairs the subcommittee, said in a statement.
This narrative is used as another reminder that all cheap antivirals are bad, bad, bad, and early treatment only works with custom designer drugs that also happen to be protected by patents. I’m sure Big Pfizer is happy with this angle. The old vaccines would have been good if only Trump had not rushed them, but repeat after me girls and boys, the new vaccine is 100% safe and effective.

These people have no shame.
Igor Chudov has a fairly objective analysis of the Vaccine vs Trump dynamic.

Democrats had more influence than Trump, even before 2021, delaying the roll out until Biden was POTUS.
It wasn’t up to Trump to decide if it was safe and effective. 1000 s of lives could have been saved if it wasn’t delayed so Biden could look good instead, if they really were safe and effective.
81
Mostly millions of lives could have been saved if they hadn’t banned ivermectin and ignored other safe cheap effective early treatments.
Vaccines, especially ones with a radically new delivery mechanism — mRNA — needed a decade of testing. They were never the solution.
411
Dr Blaylock called it mass murder, of 80% of the 800,000 who had died in the US at the time of his writing.
There is evidence to support this call.

Ted1….and many others: I’m not clear on what these endless discussions about the failure of the gene-jabs is meant to achieve, since in Oz the federal govt has already admitted that they negligently and deliberately set out to kill and harm the entire population…
Here’s their compensation website for those they killed: for those they injured; for those whose lives they’ve ruined….https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/covid-19-vaccine-claims-scheme….
In there you’ll find….What costs you can claim
lost earnings
out of pocket expenses
paid attendant care services
gratuitous attendant care
loss of capacity to provide domestic services
pain and suffering costs
deceased covid-19 vaccine recipient payments and funeral costs.
That’s it isn’t it? The manufacturers are not liable, but the govt is since they forced, cajoled, co-erced (etc etc) the population into being injected with the killer products.
Think Ratsak. If a govt decrees that all teachers must eat Ratsak to keep their jobs, it is not Ratsak’s manufacturer’s problem is it? And there ends the argument about what the gene-jabs are about.
BTW: if some do not get it, also think asbestos. The govt did not set up a website to pay everyone’s compensation, did they? It was the manufacturers of the killer poisons who paid FFS!

It’s the poor old/young Taxpayer that always pays. Guv’ments have no money unless they steal it (Tax) or borrow it.
10
I agree with most of what you write and certainly that the cheap options for covid prevention were reliable, safe and proven. The worldometer indirectly showed that malaria coutries and ivermectin both with zinc had great results. The vaccines were not needed. Mandatary use has to be illegal.
Zealot antivax is as bad and often as dishonest as provax.
Everything is poisonous and references to poisonous injections is emotive. Poison is always about dosage.
Development time is also misleading. It is decades. MRNA was a theory in 1960 and defined in 1962.
MRNA was developed in the 1990s and experimented with in 1996. They have been used since 2005 particularly with HIV AIDS.
To use them for covid was a logical process. This Antivax is is emotive and extreme reactions are unhelpful.
I won’t use them but that is personal choice because I find them unnecessary, expensive, profiteering and short term.
To not recognise the 1960 theory is bad practice. Better balance please as ignoring 6 decades of consideraion arms the provax lobby.

I think on reflection that the Don is quite smart. He may well have been a bit naive as to the Politics of being in DC and being President of the USA. But as Sun Tzu wrote – ‘To win without fighting is best”.
They have still not stopped him and hats of from me to the Don. And as Sir Winston Churchill said – “Never, ever give up”.
111
Yes. Everything bad that is happening is ALL Trump’s fault. Big Pharma never pressured and ‘bought’ the FDA………NO of course not. NO WAY.
620
Pfizer is being sued…no they’re suing…no, Moderna is safe and effective…no Johnson & Johnson…particles in solutions…not safe anymore…
But people were injected anyways…
Can’t sue as it’s an emergency order…
I’m getting confused here.
331
Moderna is suing Pfizer!
I rather doubt that this was in anybody’s playbook.
Who knows, the truth might find itself.
150
There’s too much money involved in vaccines- its no surprise.
70
Why would you want to take credit for the vaccine debacle?
10
Democrats will use every bit of nonsense they can find to redirect the public’s attention from the many miserable failures of the Brandon Maladministration.
Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a serious consequence of the fear “swamp” denizens have of exposure of the damage they have done and continue toward destroying the American Dream.
How this resolves will be the greatest history-defining activity of the next 15 years.
440
The greatest? It has competition. But how much further can this deception go? This started small, but after initial success advanced in leaps and bounds. Always founded in public ignorance of science.
Like many here, I am of advanced age .I spent my whole life in farming. As far back as I can remember we used a chemical called 2,4,5-T to kill eucalyptus trees so that we could grow grass instead. Eucalyptus do not feed civilised society. Various grasses do.
There were always “tree huggers”, who campaigned against all killing of trees. By and by the Marxists (i.e. the people who believe there should be no private management of industry) joined their campaign.
There was never any evidence that 2,4,5-T injured anybody, but these Greens declared it did. In the 1970s “the chemical companies”, I don’t know just how, paid $800 million “compensation” to Vietnam veterans who claimed to have beeen affected by 2,4,5-T on service in Vietnam. 2,4,5-T was subsequently banned. We were forced to use a new chemical instead.
2,4,5-T was long “off patent”. It had been costing us $9 a litre for the concentrate. The replacement chemical cost us $140 a litre.
In this pricing regime it would not have taken long for the “chemical companies” to recoup their $800 million.
That was example 1. Next came the breathtaking Hole in the Ozone Layer. There were many rats to be smelt when in the mid 1980s it was announced to us, so as to make me suspect that somebody may have been seeking a monopoly on the world market for refrigerants. I have since read that this was indeed so.
I offer just one of those many rats. Why was this hole in the South when 90% of the people supposedly causing it reside in the North?
That was example 2. And, really, the third example, the AGW scam, flowed straight on from that. And it is the AGW scam that here rivals the COVID19 scam.
The question now is, where can the scamming possibly go next? Perhaps if China invades Taiwan it will all become irrelevant.
320
Well said Ted1.
Now that Glyphosate is out of patent, watch the attempts to ban it grow.
150
The biggest lurk in business comes in three grades.
Persuade a government to:
1. Mandate the use of your product, or
2. Prohibit the use of your competitor’s product, or
3. Prohibit the use of your less profitable product, thereby mandating the use of your more profitable product.
All three are at play here.
150
Glyphosate has been out of patent for about twenty years
10
Yes, that was Dupont who had produced a new and more expensive refrigerant. They pushed the hole in the ozone layer narrative long and hard.
120
I doubt that it was more expensive. Just protected from competition by an “evergreened” patent.
They told us at the time that it was still a hydrofluorocarbon, but not as bad as the original.
Now 30 years on they tell us it’s real bad, and we have to abolish HFCs altogether.
70
Without the aid of memory enhancing drugs, I vividly remember Biden and his devoted followers in the MSM and many news sites, tell the world there was no vaccine before Biden. That he and he alone was the savory of all mankind. Was he yet again lying? Do they really believe we don’t remember?
400
Quite so! Tucker Carlson satirised this move yesterday. We look forward to all those who were sacked for not taking the Trump Vaccine being reinstated and compensated.

“The American political establishment — leading Democrats and Republican never-Trumpers alike — is desperately afraid of a Trump political comeback in 2024. They fabricated a Russia collusion hoax, spent two years on a special counsel investigation, impeached Trump twice, jailed Trump supporters for trespassing at the Capitol, held partisan Congressional hearings to broadcast hearsay evidence against the former President without the opportunity for cross-examination, and weaponised the entire federal law enforcement bureaucracy (and some state ones, too) against this one man. And if they can do it to him, they can do it to anyone.”
So now the American political establishment will try to get him and him alone for the Virus Crisis gene therapy drugs (alleged vaccines).
What next? Blame him for the Weather I guess.
440
The list is so long that you omitted the Mar-a-Lago raid…
You know, the raid that will show Trump to be secretly developing a nuclear weapon in his basement…
A nuclear weapon that he will then give to his handler, Vlad…
Oh wait… Vlad already has thousands of them.

Hydroxychloroquine proved to be useless in the treatment of COVID. More precisely, ‘Available evidence based on the results of blinded, placebo-controlled RCTs showed no clinical benefits of HCQ as pre-and post-exposure prophylaxis and treatment of non-hospitalized and hospitalized patients with COVID-19.
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanam/article/PIIS2667-193X(21)00058-2/fulltext
Why were senior Trump administration officials fighting for the reauthorization of hydroxychloroquine? None were health experts, they should have been leaving these decisions to the FDA.
181
Very funny Simon. Why are you writing about pharmaceuticals — are you a health expert?
Or do Argument-from-Authority fallacies only work for you and not against you?
What area of science did you train in?
771
The Comparative Phrenology of Identity-Based information sources. It remains obscure because folks usually think the acronym CPI refers to something else.
120
The Argument from Authority fallacy is where a person appeals to a false authority as evidence for a claim. Most people do not consider the Lancelet to be a false authority.
364
Real science is not decided by “most people” Simon.
That’s not how science works.
Individuals and institutions do make mistakes or even worse become corrupt or incompetent.
And no real scientist ever says “the science is settled” like Leftists who have no knowledge of science like saying. Real scientists are always open to new ideas or evidence, or accept the possibility of mistakes or corruption in existing evidence and therefore review it.
A book called 200 authors against Einstein was published in 1931 denouncing Einstein’s theory of relativity. When asked to comment Einstein said “to defeat relativity one did not need the word of 100 scientists, just one fact”.
All of the above is a lesson that the anti-science Left need to learn. Tragically, the Left corrupt everything they touch, including science itself.
601
Simon, now you believe a false fallacy… cute excuse, but no banana. An authority is an authority. There is no “false” or “True” authority except in religions. The only authority in science is the data.
So you decide to wave your magic wand and label your favorite authorities as real, and mine as false. You are kidding right?
And you avoided my question. What science area are you expert in?
PS: “Most people” is Argumentum Ad Populum — appeal to popularity. Two fallacies now?
271
Citing evidence from a scientific peer reviewed paper in one of the premier medical journals is not ‘Argument from Authority’. Your refusal to accept scientific evidence indicates cognitive bias.
08
Why is it that some people still think science is a popularity contest… you know, like the Miss World contest
Peer review says absolutely nothing about scientific accuracy or truth.. period.
It is journal based gateway, with only papers that meet the editors/reviewers ideology getting through
Science .. it is NOT !!
So yes, you are basing your empty argument PURELY on a call to authority.. NOT to science.
80
The cited paper is a meta-study, a study of all known high quality studies. The balanced conclusion was that HCQ had no measurable benefit, but at least it was harmless bar a few relatively minor side effects.
There is no rational alternative to peer review; no single individual has perfect knowledge or information. Occasionally a paradigm shift does occur which renders the previous understanding invalid, but this ain’t one of them.
02
Simon,
There will be a once in a 1000-year flood, in China this fall. The AI will make an adamant recommendation for early mass evacuation which will be accepted and which will save hundreds of thousands of lives. The saving of lives will change the AI’s and China’s future.
10
Again, so that maybe you will comprehend.
Peer-review is about journal publication. It is at the whims of the biased reviewers and editors.
I suppose final Miss World entrant is decides by a small panel of “judges” though…. but …
SCIENCE IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST !
10
The Lancet was marched through a long time ago, Simon. It has been weighed in the balance and found wanting, just like your anti-anti-viral treatment stance.
620
I have no qualifications, but can confidently state that the trial of HCQ that was cited by authorities as published in the Lancet was set up to fail.
It was confined by authority to hospital cases. The benefits claimed for HCQ were in early use. No benefits were claimed for late application.
That is why those authorities must be called to account.
470
“The Lancet was marched through a long time ago, Simon. It has been weighed in the balance and found wanting,”
The facts do not bear out that claim.

Argument from Authority. Still a fallacy 2,000 years and counting…
141
If “Argument from Authority” is still a fallacy I wonder why it is that many climate sceptics often refer to “authorities” such as Roy Spencer and Jennifer Marohasy and Judith Curry and Anthony Watts and even Ian Plimer to bolster their case. Or is that not classed as “Argument from Authority”
018
Maybe because they are genuinely experts Ian.
60
Ferrgoodnesssake Ian. Get a grip. If a skeptic said it’s true because Spencer says so, that’s argument from authority, and if you only knew how to reason you could criticize skeptics if they ever said that.
But we skeptics refer to UAH data, that’s what’s science is. Learn to tell the difference.
BTW, Do you have the honesty to admit that the citation index is a fallacy and proves nothing in science? IF hypothetically Big-Government paid teams at uni’s to find one solution, and were also the “publishing houses” largest single customer, isn’t it self-evident that most of the papers would find the crisis (with models) they were paid to find, and the publishing houses would print the papers they were paid to print? Citations of human opinions tell us nothing about whether the solar wind changes jet streams and climate models that ignore the solar wind are 100% stupid.
270
“But we skeptics refer to UAH data, that’s what’s science is. Learn to tell the difference.”
Get a grip yourself Jo. Suggest you listen to this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29QDGEJC1fg. Y
You will find your referring to UAH data as the science is clutching at straws as UAH results now largely agree with most of those from others in the field and Roy Spencer has changed his opinion quite considerably during the past 25 years. Here are his relatively re cent statements.
“I believe the climate system has warmed (we produce one of the global datasets that shows just that, which is widely used in the climate community), and that CO2 emissions from fossil fuel burning contributes to that warming. I’ve said this for many years.
I believe future warming from a doubling of atmospheric CO2 would be somewhere in the range of 1.5 to 2 deg. C, which is actually within the range of expected warming the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has advanced for 30 years now. (It could be less than this, but we simply don’t know)”
https://www.drroyspencer.com/2021/01/no-roy-spencer-is-not-a-climate-denier/
As for your views on the Science Citation Index fair enough so I look forward to the absence of references to such articles in your future threads.
BTW your comments on my time at Curtin are offensive. My PhD was from UWA. Where was yours from?
08
Still missing my point?
““But we skeptics refer to UAH data, that’s what’s science is. Learn to tell the difference.””
Try this: “we skeptics refer to data. That’s what science is.” Get it?
UAH in that sentence was only an example of data. So why do you even mention Roy? Perhaps you still don’t understand that Roy is a person, and not a dataset? Just asking?
PS: UAH results agree with radiosondes but not with RSS/HadCrut/NCDC/BEST/Climate-models (a point I have made 5 million times).
BTW I critized my own Unis for not teaching me Aristotelian reasoning either four days ago. All Australian Uni’s are terrible.
60
” UAH results now largely agree with most of those from others”
That is just an out and out LIE from a rabid climate zealot (called PotHolder)
Reality is far different
Show me in any of the other homogenised urban temperature fabrications where there is no warming from 1980-1997 and no warming from 2000-2015 (as in UAH whole world data).
We can wait.
Roy is actually what is called a “lukewarmer”..
.. but like you, is unable to present one single paper where warming by atmospheric CO2 is observed or measured.
Be very glad of the slight warming (far less than FAKE climate models predict) and the enhanced atmospheric CO2..
.. it is what has kept the world fed for the last 100+ years.
——
“I believe future warming..”. blah..
…. based on what .. certainly not science !!
40
“Try this: “we skeptics refer to data. That’s what science is.” Get it?”
Of course I get it. So why did you not state that initially? And it is insulting to suggest I thought Roy Spencer was a data set’ I mentioned Roy Spencer as he provides the UAH data as is shown below.
UAH Global Temperature Update for April, 2022: +0.26 deg. C
May 2nd, 2022 by Roy W. Spencer, Ph. D.
The Version 6.0 global average lower tropospheric temperature (LT) anomaly for April, 2022 was +0.26 deg. C, up from the March, 2022 value of +0.15 deg. C.
If “we sceptics refer to data etc` why do you not accept data with which you disagree?
It has become a popular defence of science deniers to yell “argument from authority” when someone quotes an expert’s opinion. An “argument from authority” is a conclusion drawn not by evaluating the evidence itself, but by evaluating an opinion about that
evidence. It is also sometimes called an “appeal to authority”.
The person who doesn’t want to accept the opinion of scientific experts implicitly claims that their own knowledge is more trustworthy. Without explicitly saying so, they claim that science doesn’t work, or that certain experts cannot be trusted – and that they themselves can do better. To use an argument from authority correctly, you have to explain why the authority’s knowledge is not trustworthy on the question under consideration.
I don’t think that happens very often as contrarian views are rarely published in the blogosphere
12
I look forward to the day when you start reading my actual blog posts. If you did, you’d know that when I disagree with an interpretation of a dataset I explain why — EG See five reasons why UAH is better than RSS
Feel free to try to find a dataset we “don’t accept”. Usually you’ll find we accept all datasets that are raw, but we criticize the magical secret adjustments. But before you quote, do a search on the blog. I’m not here to do one on one tutorials for readers who don’t read the site.
PS: Keep working on your understanding of Argument from Authority. You appear to be arguing from authority to claim that argument from authority is not a fallacy.
I kinda suspect that some human brains are just not able to avoid following authority. I hope that isn’t the case. Prove me wrong…

Lancet has been proven wrong on many issues and many articles they have published have been based on little more than junk science or junk statistics.
They are not as reputable as the gullible leftist thinks they are.
430
“Lancet has been proven wrong on many issues and many articles they have published have been based on little more than junk science or junk statistics.”
Got any evidence to support those claims? If not, they’re just your opinion which, as you’re not medically qualified, carries little weight.
02
Oh dear.. still the argument from authority.
There have been many articles that have been withdrawn later… found wanting.
https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn7915-most-scientific-papers-are-probably-wrong/
Seems you also have very little comprehension what journal publication is all about !
10
https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200605/lancet-retracts-hydroxychloroquine-study
Lancet retract article. OOPS! there goes your appeal to authority !
600
You fail to state that it was the authors of the paper that requested the study be withdrawn. The reasons are given below.
June 4, 2020 – The online medical journal The Lancet has apologized to readers after retracting a study that said the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine did not help to curb COVID-19 and might cause death in patients.
The study was withdrawn because the company that provided data would not provide full access to the information for a third-party peer review, saying to do so would violate client agreements and confidentiality requirements, The Lancet said in a statement.
“Based on this development, we can no longer vouch for the veracity of the primary data sources. Due to this unfortunate development, the authors request that the paper be retracted,” The Lancet said in a statement”.
And as for the Lancet not being reputable check out the journal’s science citation index. You will be surprised.
015
So Ian, it’s just like a lot of climate science. The BOM won’t tell us their methods, or give us the raw comparison data from side-by-side thermometers and Hadley lost the entire global raw original dataset circa 2009. But that’s OK and this is different right?
290
“But that’s OK and this is different right?”
No it isn’t OK the way the BOM works and yes it is different as the Lancet behaved perfectly correctly
014
So what? The Lancet is not God. It does not control the clouds, the T-cells, or anything that matters. You seem to think if the Lancet says something it must be true. You are in a cult, not science.
Shame, all those years at Curtin and they didn’t teach you how to reason?
192
Cited by people who “believe” what they want to see.
As you say, there was no evidence given….. or available.
“we can no longer vouch for the veracity of the primary data sources”
So arguing on number of citations is total nonsense, and not based on any science what so ever.
[typo fixed]ED
20
“So arguing on number of citations is total nonsense, and not based on any science what so ever.”
You clearly have no understanding what the Science Citation Index is
01
And you have no understanding what journal publication is all about…
… nor, apparently, what real science is all about
Science is NOT a popularity contest or an opinion poll. !
00
LOL, you’re talking about a different and completely unrelated paper. The retraction is indicative of how difficult is to get a paper accepted in The Lancelet.
02
LOL.. Many Lancet papers have been withdrawn.
You seem not to understand the purpose of journal publication or the editor and reviewer bias that gate-keeps publication..
Just because its journal published.. doesn’t make it true..
00
“The Argument from Authority fallacy is where a person appeals to a false authority as evidence for a claim.”
Ah, now we moved to consensus logic.
180
Simon, and yet argumentum ab auctoritate is constantly used by the Left when they regulary claim as “experts” anyone who claims to be a “climate scientist” or “expert” including politicians and people who are or stand to make staggering amounts of money from the anthropogenic global warming fraud and even former child actor, Greta Thunberg.
310
(1) the appeal to authority is the weakest kind of argument in terms of logical force or weight (“The argument from authority is the weakest of all arguments”: St Thomas Aquinas).
(2) It is not enough to simply look at the conclusions: “If one is appealing to an authority, it is more adequate to look not only at the authority’s conclusions but also at his reasons and arguments”. (Finnocchiaro 1980)
(3) as an appeal to authority is in effect an appeal to a consensus of opinions (see Aristotle, Rhetoric, ii.139812-1399a5) the existence of conflicting opinions amongst authorities in the field must also be considered (Walton, Appeal to Expert Opinion, p223). If the field is significantly conflicted then no appeal to authority can hold.
(4) “Meta analysis using the most serious outcome reported shows 62% [52‑70%] improvement for the 36 early treatment studies. Results are similar after exclusion based sensitivity analysis and after restriction to peer-reviewed studies. The 15 mortality results shows 72% [57‑81%] lower mortality, and the 15 hospitalization results shows 41% [28‑52%] improvement”: see HCQ for COVID-19: real-time meta analysis of 354 studies
(5) “The Lancet” per se is not an appealable authority (an appeal to authority in this instance is an appeal to are persons with relevant expertise).
In conclusion:
-the use of HCQ as a treatment is not settled. citing one paper that proffers a preferred view does not ground a persuasive or logical appeal.
-dogmatic appeals to authority “where ‘it is looked upon as insolence’ to set one’s own opinion up against that of some ‘learned doctor’ or ‘approved writer'” are indicative of a fallacy (Walton, p242).
160
DLK,
I would point out that HCQ should have been used with Zinc and azithromycin . Most of the studies overdosed and didn’t use HCQ until it was too late as it was a viral inhibitor . Most of the studies were designed to fail. Same with Ivermectin .I have read “the real Anthony Fauci” by Ted Kennedy and that’s a modern horror story .
70
I think Carl Sagan put it quite succinctly:
“Arguments from authority carry little weight – authorities have made mistakes in the past. They will do so again in the future. Perhaps a better way to say it is that in science there are no authorities; at most, there are experts.”
150
Looks like you have a good score there Simon. 1 goal and 42 own goals at the last count when I posted this cheeky comment. And the answer/question is 42 as per Douglas Adams. Nice work Simon.
41
What about the need to retact a highly liked study because of missing and wrong data against an earky treatment drug ?
30
Not a popular post 😀 but an Argument from Authority is a false argument ipso facto.
40
Maybe Simon identifies as an immunologist, so it’s all OK!
110
Who gave you a negative tick there Jo? Maybe the WHO………………….
51
The chemical in question has been used for years without serious complications – and a study saying otherwise, in The Lancet, was retracted. There were indications it might be helpful. Officials hoping to provide immediate help to sufferers can be excused for advocating for RE-authorization of hydroxychloroquine.
The “Climate Cult” argues for the “Precautionary Principle” to support massive changes to the modern world despite compelling evidence the proposed solutions will devastate most societies, especially the poor ones.
It boggles that someone can support the “Precautionary Principle” in a dubious situation and not in a fundamentally sound situation.
350
It’s important to remember that it was proposed as a cure by those doing the science. Trump did not come across it from amateurs.
Before the paper that Simon refers to was published, another claiming that HCQ was ineffective and dangerous was published and retracted by the Lancet (almost a year earlier). That paper was published in the UK in the early hours of a Saturday morning, Australia Eastern time, and a propagandist, like Simon, was posting a link to an SMH article on the paper by 6 am Saturday, on a popular conservative blog site.
There was a concerted effort to stop any use of HCQ well before a decent study to show that it was ineffective despite showing promise in the lab.
130
G’day R.B.,
You seem to unaware of the excellent results obtained by Dr Zelenko (now deceased) before the invalid banning of HCQ.
In my view, those excellent results triggered the ban.
Cheers
Dave B

HCQ never attacked the virus. What it attacked was our own immune response killing us…the exact same way we kill ourselves in reaction to malaria.
32
It’s my understanding that HCQ is a zinc ionophore, amongst other things, as explained by Dr Sehault. That means that people who were also given zinc (or who already had sufficient zinc) were able to defeat the virus by stopping it from replicating.
And I’ve not heard of any adverse effects from HCQ when adequately advised. Do you have a link which claims otherwise?
Cheers

TUCKER CARLSON: Democrats are trying to shift blame about the COVID-19 vaccine to Trump

They can’t have it both ways.

Seriously though, it is difficult to know where the most serious retrospectives. and possible accountability, will fall. History is awfully hard to guess at when one is living it, like predictions are hard, especially the future. That being said, there is science that can be done:
Sweden provided a control group of one type, poor and mostly African nations unvaccinated but taking anti-malarials another. This is pretty unusual. There will be people doing science and finding real answers. They will mostly be ignored. You can likely find links to them here, one hopes.
The early search for a vaccine, and its apparent efficacy in protecting the elderly from the initial strain of virus, and the effort to protect and vaccinate that population, was likely done by many in good faith. MNRA vaccines were not a unique Covid thing, the risk/reward of extending them was discussed for a time, briefly.
The concentration on vaccines over treatments echoes the AIDS response; they may well be merged and considered in common when assigniing credit or blame.
The excess deaths, not from the virus, probably exceeding the from-virus (as opposed to with-virus) deaths, once tallied accurately, will probably
change how real time statistics are kept and published. They will probably be a sobering number. There will be one indisputable measure; the insurance actuarial tables will change to reflect reality (if the fiduciary requirements of life insurance companies are changed, you know something really really bad is being covered up).
The awful effects to a cohort of masked, medicated children who had both their education and socialization unnecessarily interrupted may yet prove the most damaging outcome and cause the most social retribution.
Loss of faith in government/medical advice is obvious; as governments aren’t good at humility a lot of authoritarianism may be our lot for the next generation or so, under the “like Covid” tag line. The moral equivalent of Covid can stand beside the moral equivalent of war to justify bureaucratic stupidity.
Over time, Covid will be added in to our perception of China; as a general negative they are reinforcing in other ways. The contrast between our bought and paid for pols and the public’s impression of the dynasty may lead to domestic tensions in a number of countries…the US is already seeing demonstrations against Chinese land purchases and it is significant the there are “Remember Covid” signs in the crowd.
The defining event for my generation was the Viet Nam War; will Covid fill that role for a generation? Think of all the threads the Viet Nam war influenced; how will the tendrils of Covid proceed?
We live in interesting times.

Anyone who had even a glancing knowledge of previous attempts to produce a vaccine for corona viruses would have been skeptical about all of the vaccines, not just the mRNA ones. The most obvious problems were antibody dependent enhancement and rapid evolution of RNA viruses. I, for one, resisted the pressure.

There is no limit to the treachery the Left will sink to destroy our world.
They know that Donald Trump is the only one right now capable of saving both the United States and the West in general (or at least having a chance of doing so).
The Left also know that due to the dumbing down of the world ever since the Left infiltrated the education system in the late 1960’s or early 1970’s turning every real school into an indoctrination centre (Rudy Dutschke’s “long march through the institutions”) most people are indoctrinated and also incapable of critical thinking.
The Sheeple will believe everything told to them by Big Brother and in addition they have VERY SHORT MENORIES. So they cannot recall what really happened two years ago and the demands for Trump to get a vaccine developed and in any case, Biden took credit for rolling out the vaccine.
Recall what also happened when President Trump advocated for hydroxychloroquine as per the Zelenko Protocol. The Left viciously attacked him and there was a worldwide ban on that drug for covid treatment or prophylaxis and millions died as a result.
Now they are trying to blame Trump for defective vaccines, something conservatives have known about for a long time.
But it is the Left that denied people freedom of choice and made covid vaccines effectively compulsory as in Australia and which banned alternative treatments such as HCQ and IVM used according to published protocols.
The Left have a nasty habit of reversing cause and effect but due to a totally compliant uncritical media and a dumbed-down population, keep getting away with it.

.. if they tested positive to CV-19.. it was put down as “death with Covid” for deep-state/big-pharma purposes.

Jan 21st 2021 USA was 11th country in list of “Deaths per million”. You, Sir Know-it-all, have merely proved that the US is a big country. It’s the largest nation in the world which can afford lots of Covid tests and publishes the results. “Congrats”.
Countries with higher tallies on Jan 21st 2021 per capita include Italy, UK, Czechia. And countries with almost the same death rate were Spain, France, Peru, Mexico, Sweden.
Reality, eh?
If only Fauci and Birx, and WHO had not lied and advised him so badly and told him not shut the borders, which he wanted, the USA would have done better than almost all of them. If the USA had stopped the flights from Bioweapon-Central, so would most of the world, and the last two years would have been quite different.

Truth exists and has been found. The ‘Authorities’ have been found to be corrupt, liars, and fascists. The fake media was payed by the government and Pfizer to support and enable the lies. ‘Authorities’ are not a group of unbiased scientists or unbiased doctors.

We were told that the first release RNA vaccine produced covid spikes, do not leave the injection arm. We know now that the RNA vaccine produced covid spike leaves the injections site and causes long immune system damage, changes in menstrual cycles, heart damage, and so on. The covid spike was designed to be deadly. The covid vaccines produce first release covid spikes.
The CDC no longer differentiates between vaccinated and unvaccinated. This was done to hide the fact that those patients who have had the first release RNA vaccination are more likely to get the new Omicron variations (because the RNA vaccines weaken the patient’s immune system) than those who have been infected by Omicron. Why then are countries still forcing their citizens to be vaccinated?
A recent Thailand covid first release RNA vaccine test found 2.3% of the young RNA vaccine test patients had heart cell damage which released biomarkers from the heart cells.

Covid-19 Vaccines” for Children in the UK: A Tale of Establishment Corruption
How and why has it come to pass that children as young as 12 in the UK are being injected with a novel form of mRNA technology that is unlicensed, has no long-term safety data, and remains in clinical trials until May 2023?
“Evidence of actual and potential injuries to children has accumulated from before the beginning of the rollout, in spite of repeated attempts to cover it up, and yet, the under-12s are now also in the crosshairs and children are being targeted for “booster shots.” …system in the image of central bank digital currencies and biometric IDs.
…In pursuit of that agenda, the transnational ruling class has revealed that it is willing to maim and kill children knowingly, creating enormous potential for a backlash as the public becomes aware of what is being done.”

I assume Fauci’s announcement of voluntary retirement soon after the mid-terms is to do with him expecting the GOP will dominate both Houses and the Republicans will be asking some difficult questions, especially under interrogation by people who have a clue like Senator Dr Rand Paul.
Psychopaths like Fauci don’t relinquish power and money for no reason. And he is still fit and mentally healthy enough to keep working despite being 81. (Mentally healthy in a clinical sense as in being “high functioning”, unlike his boss Biden. Fauci is obviously a psychopath and not a nice person.)
If Fauci can’t be interrogated, then the truth will not get out and the malicious lies about President Trump will stick.
It’s all part of the plan.
171
If he was a nice person he would have retired and be enjoying the fruits of his labour among his many friends and family. Instead he gets his kicks from killing people by licensing many, many dangerous medicines while he collects patent and other payments that he will never spend and his children do not need. Work-life balance appears to be absent in these people.

The Senate can interview anyone it wants, whether a government employee or not, and several Senators have said that Fauci will be turning up for a roasting.

“The FDA and Pfizer were so concerned that soon as Biden was elected, they rushed to tell him of Trump’s actions. Biden immediately put a halt to the vaccine rollout until it was properly tested?” Oh wait … that never happened.

The Trump blame game will work with the majority of the meat that makes up society. In my case, Trump did not force me to do anything, I know who tried to force me, but they failed. Of course, the person who tried to force me was answering to someone more powerful, but that doesn’t bother me: the police are not innocent just because they were following orders, we all have brains to help us make choices.
130
The ‘Authorities’, the fake news, and the internet giants, have been hiding: The number of people who have had, life changing permanent injuries or have been died; after receiving the first release, ‘experimental’ RNA covid vaccines. The deaths and tragic life changing injuries have a biological cause. It is not possible to fake getting life changing injuries or death. This is happening in every country that forced people to be vaccinated with an experimental RNA ‘vaccine’. What happened was evil.

Daughter-in-law is a long term HCQ user for other medical reasons. Her household has seen many waves of various covid flavours pass through but has never been infected. I wonder how many other “coincidences” like this have occurred. It was my understanding that HCQ could work if taken weeks out from possible infection – similar to malaria treatments that need to be given time to get to the right place to be effective.
150
When used in accordance with appropriate published protocols such as Zelenko, HCQ works fine.
In the designed-to-fail trial published in the retracted Lancet article (always cited by the Left), very sick patients were given an essentially lethal dose of HCQ very late in their illness when it is ineffective when given so late and should be given in the first few days or before as a prophylactic, as is incidentally happening with your daughter in law.
221
The Zelenko, FLCC and other variations of those protocols were masterful in their design. First you use already approved dose rates of all the components of the cocktail so there’s low chance of toxicity. When combined with the other components ( Vitamin D, Zinc, Antibiotics, Vitamin C) you get a cocktail that has efficacy more than the sum of its individuals. Plus you attack the virus itself with many modes of action, delaying possible resistance. Finally, you use it early in the progress of COVID before exponential growth of the virus. I know you know all that, but I still find it incredible that the population was denied these simple solutions. Solutions that could still be used today as the vaccines are largely impotent towards COVID in the more vulnerable demographic.
210
Mother in law is the same. Long term user, all the Covids past her by. Which is good, she is fragile.

Politics were clearly at play across the whole topic of this coronavirus and still are. Dems and their TDS simply oppose anything he says and switch to polar opposites when it suits them. Remember Pelosi telling people to go to China Town and hug a Chinese person ? I remember people in Italy doing just that.
Trump gave into the Dem’s pressure calling him racist for suggesting travel from China should stop, and I was very disappointed when he chose to rely on rapid development of a vaccine as the silver bullet. It’s true, he did push for its quick development. No denying it. That’s the American way, a pill to fix all ailments. Well it’s the human way really. The Dems wanted lockdowns as it would result in the destruction of the booming Trump economy.
It was odd when Trump’s supporters started being skeptical of a vaccine but their leader was doing election rallies telling everyone we will have a vaccine soon to solve the problem.
The Dems noticed this and began to switch from the skeptical attitude in that video in the blog, to the polar opposite and we were left with Republican voters being labelled as science deniers and all Dem voters lining up for the vaccine, not skeptical at all anymore.
If you wrote this as a fictional script for a movie it would be thrown out as unbelievable. Reality is more absurd than fiction. Thank goodness I’m largely outside of society and don’t partake in the real world.
60
Let’s face it – nearly all the politicians and heath bureaucrats worldwide were fooled by the pharmaceutical companies and their supporters. This was the opportunity to use the great vaccine solution that the industry had been itching to implement for decades. mRNA technology with some tweaking, provided the logistical ability to manufacture huge numbers of vaccines quickly. Big pharma also conned Trump, even though he did his best to implement some common sense policies.

Time to “ground oneself”.
A Vaccine is: ” a suspension of attenuated or killed microorganisms (viruses, bacteria, or rickettsiae), administered for prevention, amelioration, or treatment of infectious diseases.” https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Vaccines
The US CDC, NIH, and the UK , AU, EU, have changed that definition to include: “: a preparation of genetic material (such as a strand of synthesized messenger RNA) that is used by the cells of the body to produce an antigenic substance (such as a fragment of virus spike protein) … Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine … works by injecting a small piece of mRNA from the coronavirus that codes for the virus’ spike protein. … mRNA vaccine spurs the body to produce the spike protein internally. That, in turn, triggers an immune response.— Susie Neilson et al. The revolutionary messenger RNA vaccines that are now available have been over a decade in development. … Messenger RNA enters the cell cytoplasm and produces protein from the spike of the Covid-19 virus.— Thomas F. Cozza”
Propaganda is an amazing thing. It permeates all prior truths and replaces them with politically expedient dogma.
100

A friend’s response to the new CDC definitions of a vaccine was
“Got it. Means it is a strong as cough medicine”
40
I have no problem with people having the right to try risky, and experimental treatments. That part has never been the problem.
The issue is only one thing: informed consent. People were misinformed about the risks, told that this was proven “safe and effective” when in fact the very brief trial was poorly conducted and Fisa sat tight on a lot of reports of vax reactions.
At the same time, alternative options were repressed and people were pushed to take the experimental treatment against their will … don’t blame that on Trump. That was 100% leftist medical tyrants.
270
Then, there was also the vax mandates that virtually overwhelmed any informed consent. I cant remember “word for word” the blurb the nurse recited prior to me ,prior to the 2 COVID jabs. She could have said my arm was going to fall off and I would still have agreed. Why? Because without my 2 jabs I would have missed my son’s wedding.
80
My doctor, whom I haven’t seen since, told me that Covid would kill me.
Since then I was unable to even make an appointment (until recently) and enter the reception area, even to get further prescriptions.
And to enter a pharmacist you need a mask. I am thinking of buying one of those Scott Morrison (or Donald Duck) masks.
40
“People were misinformed about the risks”
At least here in the US, prescription drugs are packaged with an insert, usually a very thin 11×17 piece of paper filled with 5 point type ‘informing’ the consumer of ‘side effect’ risks.
For COVID ‘vaccines’ this sheet was included, but blank.
So you can say that people weren’t informed at all.
(I find myself compelled to use ‘xxxx’ because we have so many BS revolving definitions nowadays.)
80
Tel – yours is a really good comment, but I would like to question your last sentence: “That was 100% leftist medical tyrants.”. Actually, they weren’t medical tyrants, they were bureaucratic tyrants. Nothing is run by actual experts any more, everything is run by bureaucrats. Sometimes they trot out ‘expert’s in support, but nowadays they are almost always fake ‘expert’s not real ones. The medical profession is fighting back (https://amps.redunion.com.au/) but it will be a long uphill battle.
60
We can only hope that by 2030 the Net Zero fiasco will be blamed on Trump.
Germany can blame Merkel for the Energiewande and Boris can take the blame for the energy mess in the UK and flushing the UK economy down the toilet.

So far Albo has fixed the coral bleaching and Australian electricity prices.; most States trading in negative prices for electricity lunchtime today. He also got rid of that power hungry tyrant ScoMo.
Propoganda relies on short memories and captive media. Who pays ABC journalists? Who do ABC journalists vote for?
70
Donald has charismatic qualities which terrify and disgust those on the ‘left’.
Albo is going after ScoMo for vindictive reasons, the electorate at large doesn’t have any interest in these political games.
70
Trump terrifies the Left and the elites/globalists simply because he (1) goes against their objectives and – more importantly – he is extremely good at megaphone politics. In other words, he’s effective. This is totally unlike the usual go-along to get-along conservative politician who is all talk and no trousers, bought and paid for.
Other conservative politicians who have either actually proved effective at thwarting the Left, or showed promise, were attacked in exactly the same way, the subject of totally unhinged, relentless, OTT and merciless attacks. Tony Abbott springs to mind, his leadership brought to an early and ingnominious end by a raging, screeching campaign which, like with Trump, got itself in gear as soon as he looked like gaining the leadership and did not give up till he was ousted. I’m 100% certain that, should he even hint at another run, he would be nuked immediately.
90
I should add that, if you are in any doubt as to which pollies are real conservatives and which aren’t, just measure them by the forces deployed against them. As soon as you see the Left mount a huge, ad hom and strangely deranged attack, pay attention. The person in question is probably worth keeping an eye on. OTOH, those ‘conservatives’ who receive only the usual ‘politics as a sport’ attacks should be disregarded.
81
An exception to that might (and I say might) be Jacinta Namatijimpa Price. She is conservative, aboriginal (as well as Scottish !) and piling on to her might be seen as racist. However, nothing will surprise me.
70
…and those who were standing at the edge of the abyss all along screaming at the lemmings to go back can now be smug.

The story will totally collapse.
The proponents will turn on each other.
The lies will be exposed albeit too late.

What does Trumps vaccine have to do with a warrant?
Trump was very vocal and proud of the suggestions he made about research.
There was nothing secret, political or sinister in him asking abut testing.
Firstly he asked for new drugs to be optional for dying patients if they were prepared to try them.
Many did and came on to personally thank Trump for their full recovery and that started long before covid.
Trump asked why vaccine trials took so long and how they could be sped up.
The four check list aspects were given to him and the order. Trump very publicly asked if they could be done concurrently.
This was done and testing time was dramatically reduced. No payments, no politics, no secrets in testing results. No need for a warrant!
A warrant to prove he said he did what he said he did in speeches.
Only time can prove duration and that has been the biggest problem.
Top of the check list is safety.
All drugs are always provisionally approved and are continuously under survey.
My master of pharmacy granddaughtr is currently employed by a research company checking medications, She has about 100 people with her in Melbourne.
Any complaint or suspician is investigated independantly. Notice how some substances vanish.. This should not be mixed with…. etc. We are aways learning.

[…] As the bad news on vaccines reaches a tipping point, they get ready to blame Donald Trump […]

I don’t think blaming Trump can work. Under Biden the bar kept getting lowered. Covid vaccines approved 6 months to 2 years. Vaccine approved 2 years to 5 years. Vaccine approved 5 years to 11 years. Vaccine approved 11 years to 15 years. This all happened under Biden. On 17 June 2021, Trump was even labelled a human parasite for telling people NOT to have their children vaccinated.

And here we go again!
“Pharmacological Madness”
“Madness, I tell you.
Aug 22 (Reuters) – Pfizer Inc (PFE.N) and German partner BioNTech said on Monday they had sought U.S. authorization for a COVID-19 vaccine booster retooled to target the Omicron variant, and would have doses available to ship immediately after regulatory clearance.
Note that the FDA has said they will not require separate studies on this formulation, much as is the case for annual flu shots.
That’s nuts.
We already know the existing formulation is dangerous and damages immune response generally, meaning it is likely more harmful than protective, particularly given its rapid waning of effectiveness — and this is giving the data the best slant available for the jabs.
There is plenty of data out in the public, which the CDC is trying like Hell to obfuscate, that as many as 300,000 excess, non-Covid deaths have occurred over the last 15 or so months with most of these being cancers and circulatory problems.
That’s a roughly 10% increase in the expected all-cause mortality in the United States and to make it worse a large percentage of these deaths are occurring in people who historically do not get hit by these types of mortality — specifically, those who are in younger age brackets. When one looks at age-adjusted cohorts the data appears to show an utterly stunning several-sigma event in several categories which, in any sane world would lead every single person in the epidemiological world to be jumping up and down screaming at the top of their lungs since the only actual change that occurred concurrent with the initiation of this mortality was the widespread roll-out of the original version of the jabs.
Yet, with few exceptions, there is silence.”
