The BRICS nations (in red, below) have just accepted six new members — Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Argentina, Iran, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates (green). The block now includes 46% of the population of Earth. They make 43% of the worlds oil, and about a quarter of the traded goods. The BRICS are going to abandon the US dollar and another 20 nations have expressed a desire to join. The India Narrative, called it “a new world order”.
In other news, the BRICS groups said they’d quite like the West to keep giving them money and free climate technologies to save the world from climate change, (while the West battles the climate demons and hobbles its own economies). The BRICS promise they will absolutely, definitely, maybe get serious too in a few decades.
While they’re busy burning record amounts of coal, they oppose any trade barriers done by the developed world in the name of climate change. We wouldn’t want things like pollution, child labor or slavery to get in the way of a good trade would we?

The UN is “very important” because it helps BRICS nations get free things from the West, slows the developed world, and almost never demands anything in return. It is a one way siphon:

As Alexandra Wexler noted in the WSJ, five of the six new members rank very low in the Freedom stakes.
India and Brazil want to stay on good terms with The West and only a few days ago were calling for “clarity”, and it looked like the expansion might not go through. But the West’s gravitas has shrunk (with its carbon emissions) and evidently India decided the QUAD defense pact would survive any bad feelings arising from them approving, eww, Iran. (The QUAD being Japan, USA, Australia and India).
Brazil and India had advocated for a more gradual expansion of Brics amid concerns that the group could become too far aligned against the West, morphing into an autocratic version of the Group of Seven major economies.
It appears that Brics is headed in that direction, with just one of the six newly-admitted nations—Argentina—ranked as “free” in Freedom House’s widely used global freedom index, with a score of 85 out of 100. The other five countries are all designated “not free,” with scores ranging from eight to 21.
Still, Brazil and India voiced their support for the expansion …
Who knows — the block may struggle with internal tensions as Iran and Saudi Arabia are not exactly on the best of terms, and nor are Egypt and Ethiopia. China’s economy is said to be in trouble. South Africa is suffering long rolling blackouts, violence and corruption. India joined the Quad for fear of China’s aggression.

If it’s not competing with the US dollar I don’t see a problem with it working. I don’t know if a fiat currency would be in play or not but a tender that is useful to all members could work. China is no longer a developing country and has the characteristics of a fully developed country with a space program, nuclear power, nuclear weapons, world’s largest military, building two coal power stations per week, burns over 11 million tonnes of coal per day, has high speed rail, a bioweapons and genetic engineering program, manufactures steel and cars etc..
It is also the world’s largest CO2 producer by far, more than twice as large as the United States (not that it matters, but according to the Official Narrative CO2 is causing the oceans to boil).
If the West have to destroy their economies by shutting down coal amd gas power stations and other measures to stop CO2, (with Australia being an especially fanatical follower of that belief) then China should also be required to shut down their coal and gas power stations.
Better yet, abandon the whole hypothesis that fossil fuels are destroying the planet. If the Elites really believed that to be true, China would be stopped producing CO2 as the West is expected to do.

The problem with climate change believers is that there is always another way to “prove” that CO2 emissions in the developed countries are the cause of climate change. So now it’s per person instead of total emissions per country.
Then there’s the world average temperature. We are told that if the world average temperature increases by 1.5°C the world will be destroyed or something like that. But what does average mean? A couple of weeks ago the big news was that the Southern European and North African countries were experiencing record high temperatures, as if climate change was the cause. If the record high temperatures caused an increase in the world average temperature no doubt we would have heard about that too. So the world average temperature did not increase, probably because there was also record low temperatures elsewhere, of which there was no mention.

This means that the USA need only print dollars to get oil while eveybody else has to produce goods to equivalent value. I see this as the first part of a move by Labor governments to nationalise all residential rental property. Excessive taxes will also eventually be applied to the properties people own and live in, which will rule out private home ownership except for the Elites.

It’s all irrelevant because leftist governments in the West will have introduced programmable central bank digital currencies and won’t allow their CBDCs to be exchanged for cash, ‘bricks’, gold or anything else. The best that people in the West can hope for is that a few hold-outs will keep cash in circulation within their own countries. But you can be certain that countries with leftist governments and oppositions, (ahem!), will eagerly embrace digital currencies and will abandon cash, because it will give them absolute power over their proles. BRICS is composed of some unsavoury characters, however its written in the rules that member states cannot criticise fellow members on their political behaviour. So we won’t be joining anytime soon.
They are attempting to weaken the dollar as a Reserve currency by withdrawing from the US bond market. Its a house of cards and will almost certainly flounder with the return of the gold standard.

Our Western governments defy economic logic. In Australia we have a treasurer convinced his job is to fund socialism, not the economy. He even wants to mold the two together, with socialism his prime concern. Unbelievable! No real job experience, tutored by Wayne, his report for 2063 was all about funding socialist ideas from a moribund economy coming from his hands and Albo’s. Reading Paul Kelly, it’s all about getting poor nationally and sharing the decreasing GDP by large increases in taxation; we all go down together.
He’s confused. Booming economies produce high GDPs. Current or lower rates of taxation with minimalist government interference in businesses about which it is totally unfamiliar, except to screw over, will provide sufficient government incomes with which to social services. Chalmers’ rationale is irrational; just worry about forcing the funding and don’t worry about the productive side of the economy that produces it. His mad idea is to produce our coming poverty. Social disruption will be managed by government power enhanced by the breakdown of the separation of powers principle displayed during COVID-19.
The BRICS, with those nations wanting to join the bloc, are spectators to the West eating itself as politicians seek to stay in power forever. They’ve experienced where that leads. Take over, economic and political, by the marxists with its destitution. The West has spent 70years warning them to resist marxism. They see the Democratic West doing just that. The USA is the lesson of the loss of separation of powers. BRICS are logical. Who wants to join the mad West as it destroys itself.
