“Shocked”: Far right climate deniers get more votes than any other party

By Jo Nova

Everywhere there are free and fair elections and a politically biased media, people will be shocked.

What does “far right” even mean when it applies to a quarter of the population?

Netherlands Flag

. ..

It means name-calling is embedded in our vocabulary. Geert Wilder’s party has won 37 seats in the Netherlands election with 24% of the vote — more than any other party. There are 150 seats in total in the Dutch Parliament, so it’s not clear what the final winning coalition will look like. What is clear is that environmentalists hate it:

‘4 years of climate change denial’: Dutch environmental groups react to far-right election swing

by Ian Smith, EuroNews

Environmental groups have expressed shock and promised climate action in response to Dutch election results. Wednesday night saw the historic victory of the far right Party for Freedom (PVV).

“We are shocked,” Extinction Rebellion Netherlands says. “This outcome will likely mean a rollback of climate measures, new fossil investments, exclusion of marginalised groups, and more.”

If far-right applies to a quarter of the population, and the Greens appeal to a much smaller slice, it’s only fair they be called the extreme-left, yes?.

How many votes is it worth when a party is gifted a “label” by the media day in and day out. How many people would have voted for a “Centre Right” party who would not even consider “the far right”? It could be a 2 – 5% advantage right there.

Left leaning players cheat and deceive with language every day, and the Right let them get away with it.

We  need to fight for our language, for consistent words.

So let’s mock the partisan reporters who keep calling the center Right, the far-right. “We know which way you vote”. Ask them to define their terms.

There’s a trend across Europe — Victor Orban (Hungary), Geiorgia Meloni (Italy), Sweden, Finland…

Geert Wilders’ shock victory in the Netherlands creates fear as Europe eyes another hard-right win

By Bruno Waterfield, The Australian

Once renowned for tolerance, stability, liberalism and its pro-European credentials, one of the EU’s wealthiest nations is now a seething hotbed of discontent.

If it were only the Netherlands that would be bad enough, but most of the discontents and political trends that have propelled Wilders to victory are writ large across the EU.

Congratulations to Geert Wilders and his team, and to Javier Milei who won 56% of the vote in Argentina this week too. In the latter’s case, he’s not just “far right” but fully anti-science, according to Nature —  the science journal that appears to think science is defined by government funding, not by evidence.

‘Extremely worrying’: Argentinian researchers reel after election of anti-science president

Martín De Ambrosio & Fermín Koop, Nature

As part of his plan to address the country’s economic crisis, Javier Milei has promised to slash research funding and shut down key science agencies.

The result brings much uncertainty for Argentina’s science community. Milei and other members of his party, La Libertad Avanza (Liberty Advances), have pledged to shut down or possibly privatize the country’s main science agency, the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), as well as to eliminate the ministries of health, science and the environment.

So 56% of Argentian voters are climate skeptics:

‘A massive setback’

Milei has also called climate change is a “socialist hoax”, comments that have stirred concern in the science community. “His position is typical of a denier,” says Matilde Rusticucci, an atmospheric scientist at the University of Buenos Aires

Good to know next time someone says a skeptic is unelectable.

Far Right to the Left means Patriotic which they, as Globalists, consider to be a derogatory term.

‘Far right’ to someone who is far left is just a description of how far to the right the person is relative to the person making the comment.

That’s how Donald Trump wins 45% of the vote and is labeled ‘far right’.

That’s how Trump’s immigration policies like ‘Remain in Mexico’ have near 70% approval and are labeled ‘far right’.

It’s also how idiotic ideas like ‘Defund the Police’ and ‘Abolish ICE’ get labeled as serious, mainstream policies despite almost nonexistent public support.

dave. Easiest way to determine if a person is a Leftist is to know if they pay any net tax on an income (which is not derived from govt).Nothing else really needs to be known or asked.

Those working directly for govt, or receiving non-age-pension benefits / allowances from govt are almost all Leftists. Those living off subsidies…or contracts…..from govt will be overwhelmingly Leftists. The age-pensioners may still think / vote like they did when they paid net tax on incomes they actually WORKED for.

Because Leftists are essentially infantile: never grew up (see how their “views” so neatly align with 12 year-olds on all manner of stupidity from CO2-phobia to a reverence for mass-rapists and baby-burners in Gaza) they “feel”, rather than think.

This is manifested in obvious Daddy / Mummy issues, where Govt plays both roles!

Seems you then fall into the same old trap of believing the propaganda MSM have fed to us for 40 plus years.
Do some research and have a good think about what you discover. Maybe start with the Balfour Declaration and see how you would feel if that had been applied to your ancestors and wherever they live?

A paper without an author is not very convincing. And it still buys into the “greenhouse effect”.

Earth’s energy balance is limited by open ocean surface temperature feedback that prevents it sustaining more than 30C. Heat loss from oceans has a step reduction once the temperature is below 15C and is close to zero once the surface is down to -1.7C. All these processes depend on the formation of ice either on the surface of the water or in the atmosphere.

The best way to invalidate climate models is to show that there are long term cooling or static trends in regions of the globe like the Southern Ocean. No climate model is able to produce a sustained cooling trend anywhere. ALL the observed surface warming away from heat islands is due to natural processes that only involve CO2 in its contribution to biomass.

The surface of the Northern Hemisphere will continue to warm and likely at an accelerating rate. At present there are new snowfall records being set but there are very few places where permanent ice is actually expanding. Permafrost is still retreating north. The increase in solar intensity that is causing the warming only bottomed 500 years ago. The change so far is very small compared to what it will be when aphelion aligns with the boreal summer solstice.

Seeing the graphic and the choice of words it can’t be an other author than Monckton, the to German translated text at EIKE confirms that.

          Konrad

Yes, certainly Viscount Monckton. I can tell, not just by the garish graphics, but by the foundation error in his calculations. He has the total solar thermal gain for surface without radiative gases as less than 260 Kelvin.

I have previously debated Viscount Monckton. He is a lukewarmer, believing in a net radiative greenhouse effect. Now most lukewarmers adopt their position out of fear and cowardice. Monckton does so because he is blinded by mathematics, his primary skill. When all you have is a hammer …

Rick is right, anyone claiming a net radiative greenhouse effect, then just arguing about to what degree, is on a road to nowhere. There is no net radiative greenhouse effect for CO2 to add to.

The net effect of radiative gases in our atmosphere is to cool our atmosphere, giving it the ability to cool the solar heated surface of our ocean planet.

What is a lukewarmer Konrad, I ask because it has been applied to many people who are foes of the stupid AGW conjecture.

It is the “far right” who is being rational about the climate and their winning means a much better policy will be in place to keep the criers of doom in check.

FACT: There is NO “hot spot” existing and after 30 years of waiting for it to show up makes clear the AGW prediction is a miserable failure.

FACT: There is NO Positive Feedback Loop existing after 30 years of waiting for it to show up makes clear the AGW prediction is a miserable failure.

It is the climate spooks who denies this reality and a lot more too since there is NO climate Crisis developing it is a manufactured lie because they are desperate to fight against the reality of climate being mostly unchanged.

AGW scaremongering is a worn-out propaganda it is BORING people boooooooring, people need to get on with life and let this colossal AGW hypothesis failure go.

    Also amazing:
CO2 Emission Rates From Natural Sources Are Up To 6 Times Larger Than From Humans

According to a new study, the claim that increases in atmospheric CO2 are driven exclusively by humans relies on a made-up, disparate accounting model, with the residence time for natural emissions 3 to 4 years (which is consistent with actual observations), but CO2 from human sources is claimed to have a residence time of 50 to over 100 years.

The 15 to 30 times longer residence time for human emissions is an imaginary conceptualization that is wholly inconsistent with (1) bomb tests (1963) and (2) seasonal CO2 variations found in real-world observations.

    From memory:

The metrics are in Carbon-equivalent of CO2

    Annual human emissions……………. ~10 Gigatons
Mass of resident atmospheric CO2…… ~800 Gigatons
Mass of resident hydrospheric CO2….. ~37,000 Gigatons

    Total mass of CO2 ……………….. ~38,000 Gigatons carbon-equivalent

    Daily global CO2 emissions 10/365 Gigatons = 0.000263158 Gigatons

So we are daily contributing 0.00026 Gigatons of Ce of CO2 into a sink containing 38,000 Gigatons.

Far right? Of what? Right and Left was devised by communists to differentiate themselves from the Fascists and Nazis. Far right is not a term that can be applied to Conservatives or Libertarians because they believe in the primacy of the individual. A concept alien to socialists of any flavour. If you are a conservative YOU CANNOT EVER BECOME A FASCIST OR NAZI BECAUSE IT MEANS BECOMING A HARD SOCIALIST FIRST. A hard conservative? Ascetic? or EFF OFF AND LEAVE ME ALONE! Get out of my life. The terms do not transfer. Socialism is like being on a beachball, keep going and eventually you end up totalitarian, be it through politics or religion. You never pass through being a conservative. There is nothing shameful about being on any part of the “right” spectrum including the so-called “far right”.

Of course, the Left try to use that “far right” slur to mean someone is a National Socialist.

In fact, the National Socialists are of the Left, as the name implies.

The Left don’t want you to know it but National Socialism is a derivative of Fascism which itself was invented by the Hegelian Marxist Giovanni Gentle.

Like all Leftist factions, they all hated each other.

    See, for example:

    Journal of Libertarian StudiesVolume 25, No. 1 (2021): XXX–XXX

How and Why Fascism and Nazism Became the “Right” Allen Gindler

ABSTRACT: The Left has been represented by various currents that have historically been very aggressive toward each other because they used different tactics and strategies to achieve socialism. Like many intellectuals, revolutionary leftists did not get along with each other very often. Since the inception of Marxism, which is the doctrine of communism—an extreme and distinctive flavor of socialism—the Far Left has portrayed adherents of less revolutionary ideologies as enemies of the working people. The followers of evolutionary socialism—the Social Democrats—were accused by the Communists of betraying the proletariat. Non-Marxist currents of socialism, such as fascism and National Socialism, were excluded from the socialist camp and put on the right wing by Marxist-Leninist propaganda. Stalinist political science became a benchmark that distinguished between the genuine Left and
the Right. This article shows the origin and historical background of the artificial shift of fascism and National Socialism to the right side of the political spectrum.

    ..

Neither the Fascists nor the (National Socialists) identified themselves with the class of entrepreneurs but positioned themselves primarily as pacifiers between labor and capital. Benito Mussolini (1933), already the prime minister and head of the Fascist Party, declared that the twentieth century “will be a century of authority, a century of the Left, a century of fascism … it may be expected that this will be the century of collectivism, and hence the century of the
    State.”

(Search for the title and you’ll fund a free downloadable copy, I can’t copy the link for some reason.)

If you look at Left-biased search engines like Goolag you will see the enormous efforts the Left still go to today to falsely claim Fascism and National Socialism is not of the Left.

And yet you see National Socialist behaviour among the Left today such as the violence, the black uniforms of Antifa, the antisemitism and the appalling treatment they give to any black person who dares be a conservative.

Dinesh D’Souza “The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left”.

Wilders has harvested votes relating to a variety of issues, of which climate change is not the largest: probably the attempt by the previous PM to do the EU’s environmental bidding in closing down the nation’s multitude of family-run dairy farms, coupled with pro-terrorist Palestinian demonstrations in the cities and knowledge that Wilders for two decades has been unique in calling Islam an enemy, are more responsible. (See his 15-minute 2008 film Fitna, doubtless pulled from YouTube but available elsewhere.)

We can now add New Zealand, the country formerly known as Aotearoa, to the list, since a 3-way coalition government – a ménage a trois if you will – was announced yesterday, the day it SNOWED on both our main islands. Green, purple, and red, heads are exploding: I’m not sure if from the COLD or the realisation they lost.

      Greg in NZ,
      Thanks. Interesting.
BBC – at https://www.bbc.com/news/world/australia – has no mention of that – at 1720z/25th November 2023.
Indeed, it still has a story – ‘News’ – about Australia winning the cricket [“Australia stun hosts India to win sixth title as Travis Head hits century” – 6 days old], and leads on a rat plague “Rat plague spreads to Australia’s fishing towns” – ‘2 days old’.

I wonder if the BBC is – well, not ‘biased’, exactly – but just a little choosy about the news it wants me [and the rest of the world] to know?
That couldn’t be true, though, could it?

Here in the antipodes, we are a day ahead of the rest of the world, or in London’s case, 12 hours – it may take the Beeb a little while to catch up with the future… besides, although we’re owned by Australian banks, we’re not ‘in’ the Land of Oz: probably classified as ‘Pacific’ or CO2, ie. Colonial Outpost 2.0

Here again is the Climate Change quiz from the co2 Coalition.
    And they ask this question……

    “Climate Quiz”

“The Great Climate Change Debate is one of the “hottest” issues before the public and policy makers today. How much do you know about the subject? Or possibly, the real question is one attributed to American humorist Will Rogers: “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble, it’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”

“Find out your Climate IQ by taking our Climate Quiz: the answers may surprise you”.

“We are shocked,” Extinction Rebellion Netherlands says. “This outcome will likely mean a rollback of climate measures, new fossil investments, exclusion of marginalised groups, and more.”

Great, when can we get some of this in Australia.

“Environmental groups have expressed shock and promised climate action in response to Dutch election results. Wednesday night saw the historic victory of the far right Party for Freedom (PVV).We are shocked,”

The only reason they would be shocked is that they were so sure they had it in the bag, a bit like Killary Klinton in 2016.

Geert Wilders is strong on national sovereignty similar to Trump:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NplV5lyhRfY

Wilders is correct in stating that countries are losing their sovereignty.

The Davos mob are setting the agenda not elected representatives.

Qatar is the current peace broker in Syria not the UN. The UN is well past its use-by date as is the EU bureaucracy. The decision makers need to be accountable to the people. There is no democracy if unelected officials are making the rules.

19th Century we had the immigration and we had the ghettos. 20th Century, particularly the latter half, we made a huge effort on integrating everyone, having a single united and peaceful country where everyone is equal. Now come the 21st Century the ghettos are back courtesy of the elites, the WEF.

This link has the Clintel article on Geert Wilders:
      https://clintel.org/a-historical-victory-also-for-climate-realism/

This is some of the commentary on climate:

The Netherlands is responsible for less than half of a percent of the total global emission of CO2. In answer to questions of the PVV, the Minister (of Climate) admitted that his climate program with 122 measures, would only lead to a reduction of global warming by 0,000036 degrees. The amount of CO2 that The Netherlands avoids emitting with these measures, is compensated by the amount that China emits in less than one day. And the cost of all this is 28 billion euros! This has nothing to do with reality, it is all about climate ideology and delusions of grandeur.

ALL those measures is the same as one day output from China.

Over the years people have criticised the use of the terms “leftie” or “right winger”. They’re too simplistic , many commentators would say, too banal. But , over and over again the term leftie just keeps being an accurate catchphrase. If I think of most people I would call a leftie, generally speaking they share socialistic / neo Marxist, climate alarmism , anti- business , YES voting, type views. They usually jump on the latest woke thing and usually have no qualms broadcasting their views. The latest woke cause is supporting the Palestinians cause and most of that is coming from “lefties”.

Good on you Geert Wilders. Yeah, ‘far right’ again. Actually the use of that phrase ‘far right’ is a litmus test for indicating a ‘far left’ or Marxist bias. But of course we never hear the term ‘far left’ being used by most of the media. The regular media’s political bias is regularly shown by its exclusive use of the term ‘far right’. Maybe Mr Wilders could consider spending half his time PM-ing Australia or at least demonstrating true leadership to our embarrassing PM.

I think the thinking community are pretty much over the standard ad hominems from the Left such as:

    -Far right
    -Racist
    -National Socialist
    -Uneducated
-Tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists
    -MAGA supporter
    -Trump supporter
    -Elitist
-Homophobe, transphobe, any other type of *phobe
    -Mysoginist
    -Xenophobic
    -Slavery supporter
    -White supremacist

Blah, blah, blah as Ms Thunberg would say. Or should I say Dr Thunberg now she has an honorary “doctorate” from the Theology Faculty of the University of Helsinki.

I’m sure you can think of more.

They use ad hominems because they’ve learned it’s an effective way to silence people without having to debate using facts and logic or even with politeness.

And they have so over-used terms like “racist” that they have been rendered meaningless.

    I’m just so over this.

Reporting of facts is not approved when dealing with far-right ideology.

Political Right and Left is more adequately understood for some in the length of time of an election cycle and what they did preparing in opposition.
The left has a clear focus of their social engineering and the bureaucracy already in place to take effect immediately they are elected, with zero interest in cost, debt or what those who didn’t vote for them see as fair and equitable.
Essentially; tell them what they want to hear to get swing voting useful idiots and don’t deviate from the plan, because we are here for the ideological ‘good of the cause!’
Hence the left being populated by activist who have never had a real job, nor care how the money appears.
The right spends opposition working how to unravel the economic mess, defending the basic tenets of capitalism and why they ‘aren’t governing for all’, winding back the policies they stood on to strengthen the economy because they are fixated on focus groups and leftwing trashmedia criticism.
If the right doesn’t break this cycle of working to a media driven Marxist agenda then the groundwork never gets dismantled and the Marxist long game rolls on!
A three year political cycle isn’t long enough for the right to repair economies and forge future prosperity.
A three year political cycle is far too long for focused and prepared leftwing economic vandals to be in control!

Leftist politicians and their media collaborators should – but won’t – stop to wonder why so many ordinary citizens are standing out in the “far right” camp. Perhaps we’re onto something. Perhaps we’re right. Perhaps there’s a learning opportunity for them.

But of course they won’t. As we saw with HiLIAR Clinton, they believe themselves so smart, and voters so dumb, that whenever we vote for the other guy it’s because we’re stupid, racist, homophobic rednecks who can’t be trusted to vote ‘correctly’.

I am Dutch so I hope I have a reasonable take on this. At least I can read Dutch news and opinions. Wilders has had a checkered past and has made firm statements regarding islam and muslims. Not all moderate, for sure. Wilders party, the PVV, has some colourful members, many of whom I much disagree.
Still, he managed to get 37 out a 150 seats in the Dutch parliament and with that he is the largest party, by far.

It’s a remarkable shift in the political landscape in the Netherlands. Post seventies, Dutch politics has been social democratic and centrist and shifting leftwards gradually. With the second period in government for Mark Rutte, the ousted prime minister, the shift towards the left has been significant. Originally, social democrats (the left) were the main representatives of the working class. But during the last decades, these parties have come to represent the elite and well-off. As we see in so many western countries, they care little for the needs of working class and their policies revealed this clearly: immigration without building the required infrastructure, heightened focus on climate change leading to huge spending of taxes, the childcare crisis, the nitrogen crisis (stikstof dossier), strong inflation, poor government response to covid, very high spending to support the war in Ukraine etc.

These are all themes known to Australia too, with the exception of the childcare and the nitrogen crises. I provide two links for further reading on these two highly disturbing yet interesting affairs.

all of this has caused a reversal in Dutch politics: the normally silent majority has spoken loudly and made it clear that they will not accept that the next Dutch government will proceed along the same lines. Another factor could well be the Israel/Gaza events, motivating more voters to vote for a party with an outspoken opinion in relation to migration.

At the moment, there appears to be a deadlock in government formation. It appears that the two main candidates (VVD, NSC) for a coalition are refusing to form government with the PVV. This could lead to the ‘other’ parties, the ones just ousted, to get an opportunity to form government. The critical press in the Netherlands suggest that this is a possibility and would possibly lead to new elections in a few month with possibly an even better outcome for the PVV. We shall see.

Wilders has much moderated his viewpoints over the last months, surely to increase his ability to form government and become prime minister. One should be critical about the ability of his party to bring forth sufficiently mature and responsible candidates. For a very long time, the PVV has been a single-topic party.

But, the voters have spoken loudly and clearly. Interesting times. We should keep our eye on what happens in the Netherlands in the months to come.
