Saturday and a million comments

The millionth comment came in this afternoon (on the Friday thread). Congratulations to Simon Thompson M.B. B.S. for the millionth comment. With Yarpos at 999,999 and Old Ozzie at one million and one.

For the record, I’ve emailed all three and offered to post them a set of books, with thanks.

Of course, this really is an achievement of all the commenters who share their thoughts and expertise on a world of absurdities, and thanks to the tireless moderators who made it possible.

And thinking of those great minds who shared so much and are no longer with us…

South Australia was the first relatively large regional grid to collapse under the weight of weather dependent generation. Texas was second with more devastating consequences than SA. There will be a third but probably not PJM.

What is guaranteed is that the grid collapse will be blamed on Climate Change™. Nothing to do with WDGs, which everyone knows are low cost and reliable.

From my observation, weather fronts are the greatest risk to a grid burdened with WDGs. Sudden changes in weather from relatively clear, calm conditions that rapidly change to overcast and strong wind gusts. This results in rapid loss of generating capacity and dispatchable plant cannot respond fast enough causing grid collapse.

Yes, the South Australian 2016 episode was very quickly memory-holed by our MSM as due to extreme storms caused by “fossil-fuelled climate change”. A complete lie.

There are accounts verified through peer-reviewed journals of very dangerous situations that arose through that black start period. None of these accounts has survived the deliberate MSM memory hole as general knowledge.

My view is that in a well-populated state such as NSW or Vic, when the inevitable first-time black start occurs, most people will not believe what will unfold. The misery and danger will need to be experienced.

So then the unfolding results of the second-time black start will be far better understood. How to control the populace when the lack of access to food, water, money, petrol …

After Broken Hill lost power because of transmission line tower failures, it was interesting to hear that the town mayor had to ask home owners to turn off their home solar so that the small emergency gas power generator could cope in holding up the grid.

Understanding left-wing authoritarianism: Relations to the dark personality traits, altruism, and social justice commitment

        Published: 20 March 2023

        Current Psychology, Volume 43, pages 2714–2730, (2024)

In two pre-registered studies, we investigated the relationship of left-wing authoritarianism with the ego-focused trait of narcissism. Based on existing research, we expected individuals with higher levels of left-wing authoritarianism to also report higher levels of narcissism. Further, as individuals with leftist political attitudes can be assumed to be striving for social equality, we expected left-wing authoritarianism to also be positively related to prosocial traits, but narcissism to remain a significant predictor of left-wing authoritarianism above and beyond those prosocial dispositions. We investigated our hypotheses in two studies using cross-sectional correlational designs. Two nearly representative US samples (Study 1: N = 391; Study 2: N = 377) completed online measures of left-wing authoritarianism, the Dark Triad personality traits, and two variables with a prosocial focus (i.e., altruism and social justice commitment). In addition, we assessed relevant covariates (i.e., age, gender, socially desirable responding, and virtue signaling). The results of multiple regression analyses showed that a strong ideological view, according to which a violent revolution against existing societal structures is legitimate (i.e., anti-hierarchical aggression), was associated with antagonistic narcissism (Study 1) and psychopathy (Study 2). However, neither dispositional altruism nor social justice commitment was related to left-wing anti-hierarchical aggression. Considering these results, we assume that some leftist political activists do not actually strive for social justice and equality but rather use political activism to endorse or exercise violence against others to satisfy their own ego-focused needs. We discuss these results in relation to the dark-ego-vehicle principle.

      Playing the Führer Card

Senate Democrats associate with a man fellow Democrats claim is like Adolf Hitler.

      By The WSJ Editorial Board

Is Sen. Bob Casey a closet fan of Adolf Hitler? How about Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin?

We ask because both Senate Democrats are running ads as part of their re-election campaigns that associate themselves with Donald Trump. And they’re doing this even as fellow Democrats and the press corps are suggesting that Mr. Trump admires Hitler and has similar dictatorial ambitions.

No doubt both Senators despise the German mass murderer. But if Mr. Trump is so horrific, how can they have any kind of political association with him? Their ads cite issues on which they agree with Mr. Trump in an attempt to burnish their bipartisan image. But surely they don’t want to do anything to promote the election of a “semi-fascist” (President Biden’s description), or a “fascist” (Kamala Harris), or a wannabe Führer of an American Reich.

Then again, maybe Democrats don’t really believe what they’re saying about Mr. Trump. If they did, they might not have worked so hard to help him win the GOP nomination by indicting him so he could get the sympathy of partisans. “They’re not after me, they are after you,” Mr. Trump liked to say during the Republican primaries, to good political effect.

There are many reasons to worry about how Mr. Trump might wield power in a second term—not least that he wouldn’t be able to govern successfully and would thus set up the progressive left for huge gains in 2026 and 2028.

But the climb up the rhetorical dictator chain in the final stages of this election looks like a last-ditch Democratic strategy to save Ms. Harris from defeat.

Trump’s Media Haters Still Don’t Get It

Martin Kaufmann October 25, 20241 comment

Editor’s note: This has been excerpted with permission from the author. To read the entire article, click here.

This is an actual headline that appeared in a “journalism” newsletter 13 days before the election: “How much coverage of Donald Trump is too much?”

The column is from Tom Jones, senior media writer at the Poynter Institute and, you’ll not be surprised to learn, a man consumed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I’ve said in the past that Jones’ daily “Poynter Report” column would be more accurately titled, “Why I Hate Donald Trump and Fox News.”

Jones also displays the blind spots of someone immersed in the leftist bubble: “Just as disturbing, (Trump) keeps talking about the enemy within this country — his political opponents whom he has seemingly threatened with punishment if he becomes elected. And he repeatedly doubts that he’ll accept the result of the election if he loses.”

There is no shortage of video of Democrats denying election results, with no end in sight. Just two weeks ago, Axios reported that Democrats would not commit to certifying Trump if he wins. That sounds kind of insurrection-y.

As for the “enemy within” theme, well, can you blame Trump? Just this year, he’s been the target of an orchestrated lawfare campaign in New York, Florida, Georgia and the District of Columbia.

He routinely is compared to Hitler (even Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin in the same column by one recent critic), and has survived two assassination attempts by nutjobs who clearly were motivated by the overheated rhetoric of the Harris campaign and the media, who have done their damnedest to memory-hole those attacks.

The reality, which eludes Jones, is that the legacy media, for which he runs cover, focuses on these peripheral matters to avoid talking about what voters say are the election’s most important issues – the economy, inflation, border security and crime. On those issues, voters favor Trump.

Ridiculous ‘Trump Groped Me’ Story Backfires, Causes #KamalaGropedMe To Trend

The left attempted to amplify a claim by an Obama activist that she hung out with Jeffrey Epstein 30 years ago and they visited Donald Trump, who then groped her.

She chose to keep this information secret for over three decades and only decided to reveal it a few days before the election.

          Funny that.

It is so ridiculous and unbelievable that it has ended up with the phrase #KamalaGropedMe trending instead.

12 days before the election, I have decided to be “unburdened by what has been” and confess that back in the day when me and Kamala were working at McDonalds together, #KamalaGropedMe.

They should keep throwing this crap at Trump, everyone sees right through it and it only helps his campaign.

I find it amazing that Trump was the head of Miss America for 20 years and still was attracted to groping random Democrat activist women. Even a random woman in a cupboard in a store, Jean Carroll. But it makes no sense. As Trump said, she’s not my type but his detractors say he doesn’t care because he is mad and sex mad in particular, an out of control monster. But Bill Clinton and friends of the late Jeffrey Epstein get a free pass. I do hope Trump releases the list of visitors to Epstein’s sex island. I have read that Hillary Clinton was one regular visitor too, according to Harvey Weistein’s laptop. Which also was stolen by the FBI.

Here’s that remarkable quote from JD Vance during the #NewsNation #VanceTownHall about civility:

“We’ve got to be better at communicating and talking to one another.

The biggest thing I worry about and we talk threats to democracy — that’s a term that you hear a lot — to me, the biggest threat to democracy is the rising tide of censorship.

The idea that we should be trying to silence our fellow Americans rather than persuade them and talk to them.

That’s always going to — that’s always going to lead to people being pissed because they don’t like being told what to think or what to say.

They like to talk to one another and that one thing that I’ll always commit to.

As your vice president for the next four years, I’ll always try to talk to people.

We’ll go out there and do events with people who disagree with us. We’ll answer questions from people who don’t always see eye to eye, but I think if we set the tone from the top, the leadership of this country is all about communicating with one another, I think that’s how we start to heal the divide, but we all have a role in it.

And one final point I’ll say about this. You know, don’t get too personal all the time, but you know, one of the things I’ve seen, especially from, you know, some of my wife’s friends and some of my friends is they disagree with us on politics sometimes they’ll get very personal about it.

And, if you’re discarding a lifelong friendship because somebody votes for the other team, then you’ve made a terrible, terrible mistake and you should do something different.

Like, don’t — don’t cast aside — like, most of my family obviously is going to vote for, you know, Donald Trump and JD Vance and if they’re not, actually, I need to talk to them.

But — but I’ve got friends who like me personally — acquaintances who aren’t necessarily going to vote for me.

That doesn’t make them bad people.

And you can’t — this is my important advice, whether you vote for me, whether you vote for — for Donald Trump, whether you vote for Kamala Harris, don’t cast aside family members and lifelong friendships.

Politics is not worth it. And I think, if we follow this principle, we heal the divide in this country.”

They have tried impeachment twice. A dozen failed criminal prosecutions. 20 armed police with written permission to use lethal force raiding his wife’s underwear drawer for state documents. A woman in a cupboard. Using his mansion including golf course on the beach fraudulently as collateral. Bankruptcy attempt with Letitia James and her half billion dollar judgement. And even allowing a real and obvious assassin to take eight shots at the President. And still he continues to fight back. Fight. Fight. Fight.

Character assasination. Criminal assassination. Business bankruptcy. And even real bullets. They must be asking themselves how they can kill Nosferatu, Donald Trump. Congratulations on your highly successful blog and making it to a million comments Jo.

It is one of the last places where science can be freely discussed, even when the ideas don’t conform to the Official Narrative. At least until if and when Australia introduces additional censorship legislation and/or gives the E Safety Kommissar more powers.

Sadly, the scientific method itself has been corrupted with Leftist ideological concepts such that “scientific fact is decided by consensus” and for certain ideas the “science is settled” and thus cannot be debated or discussed on regular fora.

    An interesting related paper:

    https://www.researchgate.net/publication/257361504_Corruption_of_the_Scientific_Method

    Abstract
The scientific method is accepted worldwide as a major group decision-making process. Countries and international organizations rely upon the scientific method in constructing laws, regulations and treaty agreements. We describe how the scientific method has been corrupted by thoughtlessly following a historical prescription that is reinforced by stakeholders with large financial interests. Finally, we conclude with some options for stemming the corruption.

    What can be Done?
The public should be educated concerning the scientific method as it is commonly employed, and the implications this construct has for their well-being.

In designing scientific studies and in reporting scientific results, the question ‘what is the null hypothesis?’ should be critically debated. Which type of error is worse? Before debating important study results, and well before accepting them, the public should debate whether the labeling of possible realities as null and alternative hy-potheses actually match society’s values, recognizing the significance of these labels.

Attention should be paid to the chances of Type 2 error in designing studies and in reporting results. If journal editors, government regulators and the media demanded an estimate of the chance of a Type 2 error, assuming the alternative hypothesis is true, along with every p-value reported, it would shed considerable light on scientific evidence for and against the two hypotheses.

    Conclusion
We have shown how outcomes from the scientic method depend strongly on how the questions are formulated, in particular, what is and is not the null hypothesis. Because the errors associated with different decisions are not treated equally, it is relatively hard to accept the alternative and relatively easy to accept the null hypothesis. Thus, which is which matters and should be of great interest when discussing any research of public interest.

    SEE LINK FOR REST

The Type II error refers to statistical hypothesis testing.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_I_and_type_II_errors?wprov=sfla1

… a type I error, or a false positive, is the rejection of the null hypothesis when it is actually true.

A type II error, or a false negative, is the failure to reject a null hypothesis that is actually false.

This used to be taught in science and many other courses, back in the day.

Without doubt the rise of the scientific method and the accompanying inductive reasoning are two of the peaks of human intellect.

      But I have a confession …

As a humble BSc who chose a Mathematics double major rather than continuing with Physics and Chemistry beyond second year, it occurs to me that I do not remember being taught the scientific method either at High School or at University. Even worse when seconded into the occasional role of teaching junior science or senior Chemistry, I do not recall teaching the scientific method.

Out of the hundreds of “pracs” I cannot remember a single null hypothesis. I can remember things like extracting caffeine from tea (or was it tobacco) and calculating whether my results were consistent with theory. Or studying brownian motion and verifying avagadro’s number. Or giving the early secondary science lesson on how to use a Bunsen Burner. And requiring students to set out their aim, apparatus and method.

I do remember one of my lecturers being thrilled when his hypothesis of what would happen to light when an early spacecraft passed a distant planet was confirmed. And that is what I remember as a student scientist. The almost total absence of formal hypothesis but rather a clear evaluation of whether experimental observations matched predictions.

So in a longwinded way I think things like type I and II errors are more in the nature of statistical investigations. And who was it that said if your experiment needs statistical analysis then you should have designed a better experiment?

The science publishing industry has a negative attitude towards negative results. They certainly don’t want to hear that some days the null hypothesis wins.

As an experimental technologist in the agricultural industry ( 760 trials and counting ) I can say I sometimes get better results from those trials that ” fail” compared to those that are a complete success. Because, I have to provide reasons as to why a treatment hasn’t performed. That makes you understand better the conditions that promote efficacy. Something that rarely happens in most of science these days, particularly medical science. For starters admitting that vaccines cause adverse effects and then the study of those situation would lead to greater success. You would know the best people to jab or not.

Some of my well educated friends just get their instant news and opinions from traditional print media. As with Ivy League older Americans who read the Washington Post and the New York times. Which is why the Left have exploded as Jeff Bezos refuses to endorse Kamala. They say it is the end of democracy if their newspaper does not endorse their candidate. I would say it’s quite the opposite! But I have realised that many, especially medical doctors have a different experience in education and life.

Real scientists like Jo are taught how to think. But many in the Arts and Medicine and other disciplines are taught what to think. And doctors are very time poor people in stressful occupations so they are taught where to get their instant opinions, basically from the newspapers like Melbourne’s Age and the Washington Post and New York Times. Which pander to the only people who pay to read them, the extreme left. One doctor friend says he only has time for headlines.

It’s been decades since leading newspapers had real independent journalists, not political activists or teenagers. Otherwise, why are people so upset that the newspapers do not endorse Kamala? It shouldn’t matter, but they know it does. Which is sad.

The common view that people believed that the earth was flat until about the Middle Ages is wrong. At least Western Civilisation has known the earth was spherical (well, actually an oblate spheroid) since the time of Pythagoras.

However, due to the engineered dumbing-down of the education/indoctrination system, increasing numbers of people believe in a flat earth. And just like climate alarmists, they can’t be reasoned with.

      The world is flat.

      Gravity always points down.

If the world was spherical, then someone at the north pole would feel gravity pulling them down. As per multiple observations. Then someone at the equator would feel gravity pulling them sideways. This is not observed. And someone at the south pole would fall off the Earth. This is not observed.

So since I’ve shown that observation doesn’t fit your model, I’m calling for a flat Earth, at least gravity would always pull downward, equally, for all parts of the Earth in that model.

/s for those who might have read the above and thought, hell yeah, that makes sense. Bowen…. that means you.

I love the flat earthers! They can provide an argument using some verifiable facts that prove the earth is flat and there are these huge walls at the Antarctic and North Poles. Their debate can be very persuasive. But it’s the exercise of “flat earthing” that reveals that events or incidents that we all believed to be true, can use the same argument model. Get a couple of indisputable facts, use persuasive language/ jargon and all of a sudden you have a narrative that the public will believe. Particularly if that narrative is then repeated over and over and over again.

Huh! Flat Earthers indeed, and how they can’t be reasoned with.

I once (well, more than once really, but this one time in particular) got into a (just let’s call it a debate, eh) about the question of climate change, and how the renewables of choice were the wrong answer to ‘their’ climate change debate question. I was called a flat earther in fact, and also a science ….. (word the same as stocking thread count) and c0n$p1racy the0r1$t as well. One of the three people who had ganged up on me then mentioned in passing the, umm, let’s just call them ‘the white lines in the sky’.

Now somewhat exasperated, I carefully explained that they were not what they referred to them as, and in fact were correctly called vapour trails, and, using science to explain the hot air coming out the back of the jet engine crystalising in the air behind it, and then using the adiabatic lapse rate of 9.6C per thousand metres carefully explained why they were just plain old ice crystals, caused by the exhaust vapour from the very hot jet turbine.

There were just flat out stunned looks on the three faces, and the one who originally mentioned it said ….. “You just made that up, didn’t you?”

Their science and my science were two completely different ‘things’.

        Tony.

I was at a private dinner last night in Melbournistan and in attendance were three young ladies about 19/20 years old who were from Florida. We discussed what happened here during covid, the world’s strictest lockups plus the compulsory vaccinations (if you wanted to work, travel, socialise or shop) and they simply couldn’t believe what we were telling them. In Florida under DeSantis there were no more than four weeks of lockdown without the brutal restrictions of Australia and compulsory covid vaccination was illegal. None of these intelligent young ladies were covid vaxxed.

WOA: World Of Absurdities… too true Jo, yet just like ‘the climate’, nothing ever changes much.

Arthur’s Pass across the Southern Alps is now CLOSED due to HEAVY SNOW blocking the road; other passes may soon follow as almost half-a-metre (1.5ft) has already fallen; southern ski areas are in total whiteout with 20-30cm of unseasonable snow down at base level (twice as much up on the summits).

Thankfully I’m up north, dressed in boardshorts, enjoying balmy northerlies (20*C and 90% humidity) laughing at the W.O.A. manifesting itself around the planet, for instance, the Global Biodiversity Framework freak-show in Colombia this week. Here’s just a few of their 23 targets they are ‘having a conversation’ about:

No.1 Plan and Manage all Areas
    No.4 Halt Species Extinction
No.9 Manage Wild Species… To Benefit People
    No.18 $500 Billion
    No.19 $200 Billion
No.23 Ensure Gender Equality for… Action

Meanwhile in Samoa (pronounced ‘some more’ as in some more money please) men in suits and ties smile for the camera, even though it’s 30 degrees with 100% humidity – maybe the boiling ocean has finally cooked their ability to reason (sea temp is same as air, 30*C, a long way from Count von Guterres’ mythical 100 degrees of insanity).

Congrats to all of us for helping Jo pass the million comment mark – let’s keep up the good work and never stop laughing in the face of absurdity 🤪

In Melbourne, Australia, we experienced the long term average minimum overnight and are heading for the long term average maximum.

Wind is calm and I cannot see a cloud in the sky. This is a nice day. The notion of perfect weather springs to mind but, without rain, we would not have the lush growth that I am presently trimming for mulch and fire kindling with a bit of good burning wood mixed in.

With peak sunlight making its move northward and shifting the heavy lifting of global warming from the Southern Hemisphere to the NH, I am more than hopeful that the increased atmospheric moisture will increase the rainfall over Australia for a long, long time to come. If you quietly sat out in the garden have a slow ale, I expect you could see the weeds growing.

Here’s a surprise, Canada actually doing something that makes sense!

“Toronto: Canada is set to slash the number of immigrants that it welcomes, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced, in a sharp reversal for a country that bet big on immigration to boost economic prosperity and that has long cast itself as open to newcomers.”

mainly because Canadians no longer saw immigration as a positive, and Trudeau thought he might lose…

“The about-face comes as public opinion polls show waning support for immigration amid concerns it is worsening long-standing housing shortages, pushing up rents and deepening stresses on an already overburdened healthcare system…. Trudeau, whose Liberal Party trailed the Conservatives by double digits in the polls for more than a year, in part because of housing concerns.”

..and an article comparing Trump to Hitler, with his Madison Square Gardens rally being twinned with a 1939 rally at the same place supporting the Nazis. It’s obviously written as straight-out Democratic propaganda, gladly published in the SMH and the comments are doozies!

“Thank goodness for this article. If the MSM were actually doing their job, then these kinds of stories would be the only stories on the US election. And yet instead we get served endless guff about how Harris hasn’t been interviewed enough, or how her policies have not been fully explained, or how she needs to ‘define her candidacy not just attack Donald Trump’.

Enough!! This US election is not about choosing a President- it is about voting to save democracy. There are not ‘two sides to the debate’. There is freedom OR there is fascism. It does not matter if Harris is good, bad or indifferent- she is the last line before totalitarianism. That is the reason she must win. ”

Do you hear that lonesome whistle blow? Wooooo-wooooo! It’s the last train to Palookaville pulling into the station. At this late hour, two passengers get on: Kamala Harris, mom jeans and blazer, rheumy red eyes, half-gone on chardonnay. . . and an elderly gentleman with a goatee in a colorful but shabby red-white-and-blue suit, famous long ago as “Uncle Sam.”

There’s an election on, in case you haven’t noticed, imminent even. Kamala, everyone seems to agree, has blown it. Can’t answer simple questions pitched by friendly ringers in the “news” business. Hiding somebody else’s agenda is a tough assignment, you see. All she can really do is cackle or simper and, let’s face it, that gets humiliating fast. Joy has turned to despair.

Her punched ticket says “one way.”

Whose idea was it, anyway, over at party HQ, to put her up to this contest? She wishes she knew

People of good faith have reason to believe that the country is about to be blown apart. By another odd coincidence, an outfit called the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International (AFCEA) has scheduled an “exercise simulating a cyber-attack on critical infrastructure” for November 5 in Atlanta, Georgia. That’s election day. In a big swing state. Whose idea was that? Is there already not enough that might go wrong that some treasonous moron had to kick the risk of fiasco up another notch? Or might it be cover for another Three Card Monte caper with the Georgia votes?

You entertain these drear hallucinatory conceits despite the giddiness about Donald Trump’s seeming triumph over adversity — botched assassinations, court cases hatched by malice-crazed ninnies, blob-generated calumnies, conspiracies, ops, and hoaxes galore. And for Halloween, they painted a Hitler mustache on him, just for fun. It remains to be seen what marvels of ballot legerdemain have been concocted by Marc Elias, Esq, lawfare artist supreme, destroyer of the nation’s faith in itself.

So, more likely, we’re seeing the suicide of the Democratic Party.

Even CNN is starting to back away from them, as from a convocation of lepers. They can smell the odor of necrosis. Plus, their own instinct for survival has kicked in. They have a business to run.

      https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2024/oct/14/adelaide-cop32-climate-conference-2026-bid

South Australia has launched a bid to host a major UN climate conference in 2026 in Adelaide, with the premier, Peter Malinauskas, declaring it would draw more than 30,000 people and could be worth $500m to the state.

Australia is vying with Turkey to host the year-ending climate summit known as Cop31, with a decision expected next month at this year’s conference in Azerbaijan. The Albanese government’s existing bid is that it would co-host the event with Pacific nations.

Speaking at a business lunch in Adelaide on Monday, Malinauskas said South Australia was a global leader in renewable energy, with 75% of its electricity coming from wind and solar and a target of 100% by 2027. He said it made the state a logical host.

      SEE LINK FOR REST

30,000 people for about a week is worth $500 million?

That’s an expenditure of $16,666 per person in the state, not to mention whatever was spent outside the state on air fares etc..

Most of us who have travelled or attended international conferences know that that’s an excessive amount of expenditure for that amount of time, unless everything is absolutely first class luxury of course.

Once again that proves what a huge scam these climate conferences are.

And will South Australia have enough parking places for all the private jets which come to these conferences?

You are standing at the side of a busy road and you want to get to the other side. There are no pedestrian crossings or lights. What is the first thing you would do? This outdoors after doing the indoor interview.

“Wait for a break in the traffic” was not accepted. Nor any other reply I could think of. Eventually he told me: “Look right, look left and look right again.”

This wasn’t obviously connected to the interview, but I had to suspect that it was. I wondered that this was work, not play, so how many points did that score for me for or against on some academic index? I scored 27 out of 30. Don’t know where the other 3 went. But I looked up RUDAS on the internet and there it was.

But the half hour drive wiped me out. I had no fear of it, and certainly took it too cheaply, but nobody could have worked this out. They provided the vehicle, an i30. I was pleased to have the opportunity to drive an i30.

Our vehicles were a 15 years old Corolla, a 22 years old Hilux, and a 6 years old Caravelle.

I was in trouble from the start. The accelerator did not work properly. Getting power was a lucky dip. Somtimes too little, sometimes too much, often delayed.

Not being familiar with the venicle I nad decided that this must have been a characteristic or the very popular vehicle that drivers get used to. Then it got a whole lot worse.

Instructed to turn left at an intersection from a very low speed, I commenced to make the turn. The vehicle did not respond to my depressing the accelerator. Then, after a delay, it responded with a full throttle “vroom” that catapulted the car into the intersection, with a car approaching from the left.

I was stunned. I had no idea what could have caused this. I should have called a halt to the test but just meekly followed instructions. There was another equally terrifying event towards the end of the drive. I did not discuss the problems with the assessors,, because first I had to know what had happened and how.

When I got the report there it was! The car had dual brakes, and the instructor had applied them twice to prevent a collision. There is no doubt he applied them a lot more than twice, and this was the cause of all my problems, including the vroom event. and the lettered OT bloke in the back attributed it all to my “decline of cognitive processing”.

Canada Begins EUTHANIZING Citizens with ‘COVID VACCINATION SYNDROME’

Canada has just killed the first citizen under the Canadian government’s controversial new plans to begin euthanizing patients who have been injured by Covid “vaccines.”

An Ontario man in his late 40s has become the first person to be euthanized for “post-COVID-19 vaccination syndrome.”

The man was killed under Canada’s “assisted suicide” laws via the government’s taxpayer-funded Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program.

Doctors had determined that the patient had become a burden on the socialized healthcare system.

They warned that he wouldn’t recover from “post-vaccine syndrome” and ruled that MAiD was a better option than long-term care.

Vaccines and the Length of Our Lives. Dr.R. Malone

The commercial imperative to extract money from human bodies is playing havoc with medical education, and the body of knowledge through which the medical professions operate. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the field of vaccines, and their place in determining the length of our lives.

The charts shown here, from Australia, the United States, and England, reflect those of other wealthy countries. The same findings are reflected in various published papers. Facts are facts, even if they may with time become harder to find, buried under Big Search algorithms to keep us safe. They remain facts even if medical students are taught to believe alternate realities. Such false teaching, coupled with large financial incentives, drive their desire to ensure children be ‘fully vaccinated’ according to their country’s childhood schedule. They increasingly believe a lie, undeniable misinformation, that this is why most children in our countries now grow up without experiencing the death of a friend or sibling.

The HPV Vaccine Tragedy Was A Test Run For COVID-19

•Two decades ago, Merck pushed Vioxx, a lucrative NSAID onto the market despite knowing it would cause a large number of heart attacks. Merck eventually faced so many lawsuits they had to withdraw it, at which point they rushed, Gardasil, a lucrative HPV vaccine to market to cover their losses.

•Gardasil was extremely dangerous. However, just like Vioxx, both Merck and the FDA ignored that data, and did all they could to promote it. This continued even after Gardasil brought forward a wave of crippling injuries, unlike anything that had previously been seen for a vaccine.

•Remarkably many of Gardasil’s issues (e.g., autoimmunity, POTS, infertility, death) are identical to those seen with the COVID-19 vaccines. In turn, there are remarkable parallels to how they were approved (e.g., doctored trials covered up vaccine injuries) and how far the FDA and CDC went to protect those products from scrutiny.

The Dark Reality of mRNA Vaccinology: Embedding Rogue Genetic Code into the Human Exome. Dr. P. McCullough

The rapid rise of mRNA technology, particularly in the form of COVID-19 vaccines, has been heralded as a revolutionary breakthrough in modern medicine. Yet, behind the fanfare lies a more sinister truth—the dangerous and reckless embedding of encrypted genetic code back into the human exome. mRNA vaccinology is not just altering immune responses; it is tampering with the very blueprint of our DNA. This technology represents a catastrophic shift, one that risks permanently mutating the human genome and triggering an irreversible cascade of genetic damage.

The assumption that mRNA breaks down harmlessly after doing its job is increasingly proving to be a dangerous misconception. The reality? These artificial sequences initiate rogue transcription—causing cellular processes to misfire, mutate, and spiral out of control. Worse still, these rogue processes embed encrypted genetic errors into the human exome, rewriting our DNA in ways that could wreak havoc for generations.

At age 62 I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrilation. They put me on Warfarin to guard against strokes.

During the last 60 years the life expectancy for an Australian male at birth rose from 73 years to 83 years.

As I see the other old blokes as I go for my regullar INR test I wonder if this rat poison is the key factor delivering that extra ten years.

When first diagnosed I looked up Warfarin. In the 1920s there was trouble near the US/Canadian border with cattle dying with uncontrollable bleeding. Investigation showed that the dying cattle had been eating mouldy clover hay.

They were able to isolate the warfarin from the mould,, and having discovered it they found uses for it.

Warfarin works by inactivating Vitamin K. I’m sure there must be better ways of inducing an anticoagulant effect than by inducing a vitamin deficiency. Because Vitamin K is essential to keep calcium out of our arteries and put it in our bones.

I know there are a lot of plant supplements that would help, but hey, I’m not a doctor. I’m just saying — be aware. Some modern medicine is bucket chemistry. Most of the increase in life expectancy came from saving babies.

The newer anticoagulants seem to be preferred in Australia for aFib sufferers.
          apixaban:
It is used an alternative to warfarin to prevent blood clots following hip or knee replacement and in those with a history of prior clots and does not require monitoring by blood tests or dietary restrictions.
          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apixaban
          Expensive outside of Australia.

Almost 2 hours in a Trump is now interviewing Rogan on UFC. Trump is so curious about the things and people he sees.

I wonder what Trump the movie will be like? Hopefully there best chapters yet to come.

Donald Trump has this crazy notion that you cannot have a country without borders and borders need to be protected.

Trump also stated that he had never been asked to make it legal for men to play in women’s sport. Who finds that surprising?

He also said he had never been asked to allow children to have a free sex change operation without parental consent. Another surprise?

The last straw is that Trump expects to have voters present personal identification and be US citizens to vote. How crazy is such an idea!

Three hours is a long session but thoroughly entertaining. Currently at 4.2M views. I wonder if Harris will take up the invitation.

Telstra will no longer support its Roku streaming device after 30 Oct. So a few weeks back I installed a Google Chromecast. It has neat feature of selecting stuff I might like across any of the steaming apps installed.

Today it had a Youtube hosted video from SkyNews called the Power Hour for reasons that become obvious:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzH4J10f2SE

It gives a different perspective of how the US Presidential stakes are unfolding than what we see from the main TV channels in Australia. Host is pleasant enough but a touch of smugness in the manner of their ABC faces. But politics NOT their ABC.

I do not read all posts on the site so apologies if this has been shiown before.

Satire – bad news for old folk

Employee Notice For Old People ..
    **************************
Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, the Government has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early, mandatory retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.

This scheme will be known as RAPE ( Retire Aged People Early).

Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to the Government to be considered for the SHAFT program ( Special Help After Forced Termination).

Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program ( System Covering Retired-Early Workers).

A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as the Government deems appropriate.

Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS( Additional Income for Dependents & Spouse ) or HERPES ( Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).

Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by the Government.

Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT ( Special High Intensity Training ) as possible. The Government has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens.

Should you feel that you do not receive enoughSHIT , please bring this to the attention of your MP, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.

    Sincerely,
The Committee for Economic Value of Individual Lives (E.V.I.L.)

PS – Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

“Dems Warn: It Could Take 4 Years to Count the Ballots”

“”You just can’t rush this type of thing,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. “We’re talking about a very complicated process of counting. It starts with 1, proceeds on to 2, then 3, and so on. These numbers get very large. When you run out of fingers and toes, it gets even more confusing. Plus, you have to account for the fact that we’ll need to wait and find out how many votes we need to come up with. I’m afraid we won’t know who the winner of the presidential election is until everyone starts voting to elect the following president.”

“The human brain operates within a range of frequencies, …but its default state is governed by the Schumann resonance, a natural frequency of around 7.83 Hz that the Earth’s electromagnetic field generates. However, the brain can shift.. in the presence of a persistent 10Hz signal. This process of entrainment means that the brain, instead of maintaining its natural rhythm, follows the external signal. Over time, this can lead to a potentially significant disruption in brain function, as the constant exposure to WiFi’s 10Hz pulses pushes the brain into an unnatural rhythm, overriding its connection to the Earth’s natural frequency.

The brain is your only source of reference for reality. If the brain itself is being altered, your perception of what’s happening is also altered. It’s like trying to judge the stability of a ship while standing on it in rough seas—your perspective is skewed. This entrainment effect, over time, could create a state where you’re more easily influenced—a ‘suggestible state.’ In this state, the brain is more receptive to external input, whether it’s media, marketing, or even subconscious influences. With WiFi and other sources of 10Hz modulation becoming increasingly pervasive, these signals may be subtly altering how we think and respond without us even realizing it.”
