Southend set to get Smart City technology through huge masts
DOZENS of 36 foot tall masts will be installed as part of a project to utilise innovative “smart technology” to monitor bins and street lighting.
Planning applications have been submitted to Southend Council this week for 27 huge telephone masts on grass verges and footpaths outside residential homes in Westcliff and Chalkwell.

I’m an unabashed Trumpist. His announcement that he would run in 2016 came after I had retired, so for the first time ever I had an interest in US politics. I’ve ridden the roller coaster since.
On Nov 6 I enjoyed his win but had a sense of foreboding, knowing that the left would never accept defeat quietly.
As each day passes I see more evidence that his win is well received, that there is the opposite of buyers remorse but I believe the left is still organising riots.
