This song is growing on me. It didn’t grab me in the first verse, but I was definitely smiling by the middle. A rollicking… satire.
I could see this going down very well at the right party. :- )
Thanks to James Black, a Tropicarnival music award winner, see his site. This song is part of an album “Songs From Inside The System”, and I hear it started as a short poem here. Support the musician who doesn’t follow the same meme as so many others, there are plenty more songs yet to be written about our collective craziness.
My favourite lines:
“Paying your carbon taxes,
paying trillions to the goldman saches,
surrender your neurology,
to the church of climatology,
that science garbology,
is new world theology.
A sermon from the book of Gore,
chapter one, verse one, agenda 21…
“Temperatures rising,
…. by zero degrees,
Head for the hills,
somewhere, somethings extreme!
Too true to be funny… …well… …almost anyway. I love it! 🙂

But I’ll bet he’ll have trouble getting it played much.

I can’t see Triple J picking it up…. (ABC station for teens)
110
I rarely turn on the radio.
I remember the exact moment Triple J lost me as even a potential occasional listener.
The year was as recently as 2010 and the JJJ DJ sounded like he was barely 20 years young.
The station had just finished playing the Tron Legacy End Titles theme from the recently released movie of the same name. Trance/Electropop is not everyone’s cup of tea but this is one track I quite liked and it was perfect for the end credits of the movie.
Last echoes of the trumpet crescendo fades out.
JJJ kid: That was the Tron Legacy theme. Ah yes, the sequel to a movie nobody ever saw.
* * * * * !?!!
There must have been silent handwaving from the control booth at this point because he tried to back pedal and revise his intent, but the damage was already done.
I don’t exist.
I decided that this incident was not merely a case of handing the mic over to baby bigots for the sake of extra teen peer appeal, nor even something as maliciously Lefty as intentionally stirring intergenerational class warfare. JJJ just didn’t care if they pi55ed off everyone over the age of 30. Funny how one doesn’t realise what a company’s target demographic is until you’re out of it.
JJJ has people with broader perspective at the top; JJJ’s Music Director in 2010 was aged 46. So the clueless DJ hiring decision is intentional. Thanks for nothing, Kingsmill.
Never mind the original Tron was a “cult classic”. In 3 months it got the same box-office earnings as Blade Runner.
Cartesian Reductionism, Kingsmill, do you speak it?!
I remember, therefore I exist.
120
The last time I listened to JJJ would have been in the 90’s and the left wing crap was starting to surface more and more until I couldn’t listen without hurling abuse at the radio, in 2011 I remember that tool Adam Spencer losing it when Lord Monckton was supposed to be interviewed but copped a rant from the little prat Spencer, Monckton kept his cool and showed up just much to the left our public funded radio has become.
Recently I had to suffer JJJ blaring at a worksite because the young blokes liked it, fair enough I like some new music and I’ll give anything a go but the biased unintelligent banter in between was too much to bear so my options offered were change stations or a sledgehammer to turn it off, the station was changed. 🙂
110
My jjj Experience was life changing as well.
About 8 years back we had just moved house and I had gone to a news supermarket which played radio while you shop.
For 10 minutes I was a captive audience to JJJJJ.
After a diatribe of juvenile abuse aimed at “old farts” who had apparently “had such an easy life” in their early years that they had hardly broken a sweat, the punch line.
They, “the old farts” or yours truly, had greedily used up all the resources of the nation in the own self interest and leasure
seeking and had forced all following after them to actually have to go out and work rather than party as the baby boomers did.
Needless to say after that I needed to hear more and occasionally switched to JJJJJ to make sure it wasn’t a one off.
It wasn’t.
So much poison spewing out of the mouth of this DDDJJJ was repeated by his mates in later sessions that I started to comprehend the basis of the after school year riots of a couple of years ago and similar destruction and vandalism throughout the communities near where I live.
And we pay taxes to have this venom pour into the ears of young people, who because it comes over the airwaves from above, start to believe and act out their envy and anger.
Our ABC and its’ affiliates and hangers on are in need of massive realignment to the real world.
KK

Yes I’m allergic to the ABC in all its forms. I find it so irritating that we are forced to pay for this nauseating propaganda, with multiple channels devoted to indoctrinating young people.
Glad to see the policy of the Liberal Democratic Party is to abolish the ABC: http://ldp.org.au Don’t know whether any of the other Senate cross-benches are following suit.

He should send it to 2gb to Ray Hadley as Ray takes the mickey out of lots of people and things in songs by the Robertson Bros, I think he’d like this one!
Second thoughts try Alan Jones also.
Personally, I think it is high time the climate scam was seriously, strategically and comprehensively –day by day– ridiculed!!
80
I looks like it might just be going viral.

A great song James Black, your name suggests you are a friend of carbon,
And here in Oz most smart Aussies will be saying “come on come on”,
We would love another great “Anti Warmist” song from you,
That puts yet another dagger into the “Failed Theory of AGW”.
50
Talking of James – James Delingpole’s latest rant is well worth a read.
The climate alarmists have lost the debate: it’s time we stopped indulging their poisonous fantasy
70
I didn’t laugh out loud until he sang “Come on, serfdom!”
30
serfdom, you know, what you get when you cross the Beach Boys with Black and Decker.
Tony.
PostScript – Boy, can I see some puzzled looks now!
50
Too funny!
00
Yes that was a very good article by the UK Telegraph’s James Delingpole on September 25 – it attracted an astounding number of comments (over 9,000). Clearly there has been a big backlash to the UK’s rapid transition to hopelessly uneconomic and mega expensive wind power generation via those hideous giant wind turbines. Nigel Farage’s UKIP Party will be a force in the 2015 UK Federal Election – why? Check out their Energy Policy in their website below entitled “Keeping On The Lights”, 17 pages of how things should be done wrt to UK’s future Energy Policy.
http://WWW.UKIP.ORG
80
Given UKIP’s policy is sane and based on this world they have an immediate advantage over the other 3 parties.
I am not sure that this advantage will last, or need to, until 2015; there are signs of panic in the some parts of the Government. The exorbitant subsidies for new diesel generation (i.e. new to the grid) shows that some realise that blackouts are inevitable unless something is done quickly. Unfortunately for them, there is no way major new capacity can be installed before 2017, so blackouts are very, very likely in the next 2 winters.
If the coming winter is as cold as some have predicted, thus boosting demand, then the resulting blackouts will see Cameron out on his ear. To avoid this, he will have to tell the EU that their directives about power station closures are not going to be implemented. I don’t think he could bring himself to do so. Nor do I see the 2 other major parties agreeing, but continuing to bang the IPCC drum. The result could be a break-up of the coalition and an election in the early summer of 2014, which would give UKIP a big chance of getting representation in Westminster.

Talking of parody songs about the global warming FRAUD….
Here is a terrific one I have stumbled upon.

Love the beat.

A vast improvement on John Butler, Bono and Bob Geldof. Geldof says it might all be over by 2030. I hope he reads the Bolt Blog (sarc) because I’ve challenged him to a guitar dual at midnight 2030, Geldof powered by solar and me by coal. He’ll be 80 by then, if he’s still alive.

Brilliant!!!

Pachauri’s Demon is a funny old thing. It magically transports hotter than average water molecules from the ocean surface through the top 2000 m, thereby heating the depths where you can’t actually measure the temperature rise.
And, amazingly, this only works when average air temperature and total precipitable water are falling, yet they claim it’s where the ‘missing heat’ ends up.
This science comes to you from a railroad engineer backed up by truly heroic ‘scientists’ who imagine that the cause of the missing heat is the atmosphere heating the Earth’s surface at twice the average warming from the Sun by a mechanism, ‘back radiation’, no real scientific discipline accepts as valid.
As I said, it’s IPCC magic all the way. The genius of intellectual dwarfs inventing imaginary CO2-AGW to scare us back to the stone age whilst the insiders get rich.

Another “It’s worse than we thought” scare story from our own SMH.
source
20
Thanks for the extract from the SMH article stating that “Geological records show the current acidification is unparalleled in at least the past 300 million years, IPSO’s latest State of the Ocean report says. We are entering an unknown territory of marine ecosystem change, and exposing organisms to intolerable evolutionary pressure.” Extraordinary statement from the IPSO scientists, clearly with no geological expertise being consulted. With a PhD in Geology and over 30 years experience in my field of expertise, palaeonenvironmental reconstruction, I can verify that what is written above is “total & utter crap”. Who ever penned this article in the SMH should hang their head in shame and in future do some due diligence wrt this type of subject matter.
70
Well said King Geo. Emeritus Professor Cliff Ollier agrees with you.
To demonise CO2 yet again, a false claim is that human production of CO2 will cause the oceans to become acid.

I found another song from Ray Stevens! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORyzsMZPPUg and these two dudes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJUFTm6cJXM
but this one I like because it’s done to a Doors song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3JfLrvjeOk It’s called Hybrid Car and for 2007 is still spot on.

While looking at those I ran across this on youtube:

People nowadays think of protest songs and hippies or greens come to mind straight away, they actually came from people fighting for democratic rights, one poem that got my attention many years ago was “A stranger came to visit”? I’ll find the link.
10
Mike sorry for the delay I found it!
The poem is “A visitor from the past” by Thelen Paulk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to6TjJdUSfs
I found the words very stirring and more so as time goes on.
00
Loved it!
From the title and picture I expected it to be to the tune of Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, but Black’s lyrics are so funny that they wouldn’t fit that song.
10
And speaking of the Church of Climatology, I believe that Tim Flannery’s new Climate Council (the substitute group that he formed after Australia’s Climate Commission was disbanded (unfrocked?) by the new Government), has overlooked a remarkable opportunity.
If they instead formally embraced the Church of Climatology, they and their congregation could obtain tax free status. More importantly, it would elevate their belief system to a faith, meaning that they would never again suffer the inconvenience of having to support any claims that they might make with verifiable evidence.
40
The Climate Council , when you realise it’s self appointed, sounds almost as grand as those High Commissions for all & sundry that Bureaucrats in the unelected tautocracies like to make up for themselves.
50
Yes I cannot understand how it has attracted a million $s without any formalising of its structure and modi operandi being publicises–that I am aware of anyway.
“A fool and his money are soon parted” seems to fit the bill here-
hm, btw, anyone ready to make up a song about it for us?
10
Yes they do come up with a grand self-appointed title. I wonder what colour of portcullis they will adopt?
00
A Gold (plated) Fig leaf would be quite apt, to hide their embarrassment while these ‘councillors’ desperately try to come to terms with having no clothes.
(they aren’t real councillors btw., much as they might aspire to the trappings of office).
30
thanks. That makes everything clearer

GA
Are you based in Canberra?
00
weird isn’t it. Canberrans all claim a place in the House of Lords. The CoA has a funny sort of history and was made up without much consultation (hardly anyone new about this competition or how it was assessed) and with poor regard to location (Canberra is full of castles apparently). I’m not sure where the half-hearted effort to redesign them for the 100th anniversary went.
Based in Canberra is one way of putting it.
01
Hey, why not? It’s worked pretty well for the Jedi Church in the UK and New Zealand.
The farce will be with you, always.

This is one crazy musician/celebrity!

Janama thanks for this info about Bob Geldof. It doesn’t surprise me. Most actors and pop stars promote the “CAGW Myth” – I think they believe it will help their image – however in due course when the “Theory of AGW” is exposed for what it is – total crap – they will no doubt withdraw their support. Learned chaps like yourself, myself & others eagerly consulting this fine website are aware that Eddy GM is imminent and that will well and truly terminate any last vestige of support for the “Failed Theory of AGW”.
40
If we go back 17 years to 1996 what have we got?
1997 – Kyoto Treaty
1998 – Hottest year on record
2001 – Mann’s hockey stick
2002 onwards – billions spent on windmills, solar panels and other green nonsense including carbon taxes
All consistent with “getting on with it”.
What do we have now? Expired treaty with no replacement, no more warming, discredited hockey stick and an ugly environmental legacy.
None of these things reduced the CO2 level and yet there is no more warming, so no-one can claim that they worked. The mind boggles as to what Geldof expects.

That is a cool song.
Here’s an original song by the Hoochie Coochies (Melbourne) called “Big Carbon Footprint” – a celebration of life.

Very good!

It seems that the execrable Naomi Oreskes, smear merchant for the CAGW hordes, has been appointed to a tenured position in History of Science at Harvard University.
It was bad enough when she was sponsored by various other universities, but now she gets to preach her bilious distortions from the Harvard pulpit:

so much for standards in academe!!

A catchy song, but I’m none too keen on the Star of David where the Grim Reaper’s face should be.
